Smooth processing during pick up and drop off. The counter is right beside the baggage carousel so you won't miss it. Originally booked a premium car but due to availability they could only provide an economy which I didn't mind and they also provided a discount to the rate which was fair. The car was in good condition with a full tank of petrol and tyres fully inflated. I also rented a separate EV and the counter staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in answering any questions about using the Tesla model Y and charging around Hobart. The post rental report and invoice was sent through very promptly as well.
The service was good, everything about the experience was great actually. But for the love of God, please DO NOT EVER let yourself get 'upgraded' to an MG. This is the worst car in human existence, and sixt really should know better than to have these cars in their pool. The gearbox is terrible, the lane keeping assist tried to murder me multiple times, the infotainment is terrible, the cruise control can't normally work and the ride is unpredictable and terrible. It's a shame really these cars are in the pool, and again sixt should know better.
David at the SixT Hobart Airport was extremely helpful and nice to me. He was able to answer all of my questions because it was the first time I was renting a car in Australia. He made sure to explain me the rules, gas/petrol details, and how to return the car at a different destination. It was only the second time I rented from SixT (first time was in Germany) and I was a little nervous because of the left side driving and how SixT company is here. Because of David, my first time driving was smooth and confident. Cheers, David, and Hala Madrid!

Booking, pick up and drop off were seamless. The car was clean and in great condition. Renting an EV was great around Tasmania. Only ran into trouble when our Chargefox card didn't work but after a few phone calls that was sorted out. Highly recommend renting an EV from Sixt. David at Hobart airport was great. Only recommend some basic instructions on how to drive a Tesla be included in the welcome folder.
The service was good and the car we hired was great, however disappointingly, they close at 10pm. Our flight got delayed twice and ended up arriving at our destination at midnight. Other rental companies waited for our flight, but not SIXT. We had to collect the vehicle the next day at an additional cost as we ended getting an Uber to and from our hotel to the airport.
Hired a Model Y in Hobart and was a very fast and reliable process. Chargefox charging was all included in the fees, as was a Type 2 and mobile connector. The only downside was that the car could only be used with the Tesla keycard, and not in the app like Hertz and Tesla loan service offer. Very easy to drop off, and would definitely use Sixt for my future hires.
Absolutely an amazing experience. I booked the mystery car and got given a Tesla model. Why the electric vehicle the staff were very friendly and very helpful with all the information to help me have a great experience in Tasmania sixth has always been a great company I will always hire with them Easy pick up easy drop off and the vehicle was very clean and tidy!
Friendly and helpful staff. Value for money. Not sure why so many bad reviews about the MG HS. A little clunky in the gearbox but a comfortable ride with adequate power and excellent handling on all road conditions around Tasmania (winding mountains to gravel back tracks). Good budget rental and fuel efficient. Only downfall was no sat nav. Would hire again.
Hired a moving truck and was very happy with the experience. Seamless booking on the app, very friendly and efficient staff at the airport pickup point even though they were flat out with the summer tourist rush in Hobart. Only improvement could be that the bus bay lots were wider to allow for easier parking for the truck fleet but that’s not a Sixt problem.
Overall the Customer Service was very friendly and efficient. I loved my car, a Toyota RAV4, ( even though I booked a Subaru Forrester). I was extremely happy with my car. Just need a bit more instructions from the staff, on pick up to make sure customers understand and know how to use all the features. This would end in a 10/10 experience.
The review and ratings are fairly accurate. After some studies, I decided to give SIXT a try and I am truly happy with my decision. I rented a MPV/minivan for 7 days and I opted for off hour vehicle dropoff. The pick up and dropoff process are equally easy. The staff is also very attentive and helpful. Overall, a 10/10 booking experience.
The SIXT staff were very helpful, and friendly, we got a Tesla for the mystery car which was a pleasant surprise. Our family loved the Tesla it was so easy to drive, spacious, and even had its own spotify account, and charging was not a problem, there were several charging stations around hobart, the best one was near the Casino.
SIXT offered good pricing, a good car (getting the car I booked & one in good condition) and good customer service (ie. very easy to contact directly without having a long wait time). I found hiring a car through SIXT to be hassle-free and would certainly use them again. Hence, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
The staff at Hobart Airport could not have been more helpful and friendly. This is the second time we have rented here and have found the service and staff members to be fantastic both times. I don’t know why people go to other companies when the cars and service here are of great quality and rates very competitive
Mr Ali of Sixt Hobart airport was very helpful and patient and made sure I was completely satisfied and comfortable with the rental car. He also gave me lots of tips that were helpful. I cannot stress enough how professional and generous his attitude is. Pls keep and promote staff like this. Well above and beyond.
Excellent, booking and key collection process was smooth. The booking officer at the key collection was helpful and detailed. However, the other officer who attended to me on our key return appeared impatient, when I tried to clarify out on my booking due to some unforeseen circumstances at SIXT end.
I don’t like leaving negative feedback but our first Tesla key stopped working and needed to returning to the airport. 2nd had a slow leaking tyre from a previous repair which needed filling every day. A lot of time spent but thankfully I was reassured it wasn’t my fault. Better luck next time.
Really great overall experiences, the car was clean and in good/okay condition. Great value for money. Only thing I’d suggest to improve service is having more people on. Quite a few other car rentals have 2-4 staff but Sixt only ever had 1 on multiple occasions, sometimes waiting 30mins+
Simple booking process, opted for Tesla Y SUV. Low km vehicle provided as booked. Good rates. Very helpful and friendly check in staff - good job Harley! Very in formative on EV. Great vehicle. Chargefox included in hire. No filling up rush at the end - drop off part charged !!
Great service experience on our rental car for family trip to Tasmania. Special mention about David who explainted the features and options patiently and reasons for a car similar to the one booked which had the features we needed and immediately available in the lot.
I found the staff very helpful and every thing was done well. Car was clean and tidy. Only thing was it a while to get serviced not the staff fault just too many customers before me making booking which slowed down the service, and drop off was easy. Many thanks
Great decision to go with SIXT in Tasmania, even better to go with EV. The service and the car were terrific, the charging networks in Tass sooo easy to use and find, complimentary charging from SIXT was an absolute bonus! We will definitely do it all again.
Staff were easy and polite to deal with. The car was reliable but poorly presented with heaps of scratches and a chip in the windscreen that had a small round sticker placed over it. Was a bit embarrassing to drive, but got us everywhere we needed to go.
Great cars, very good pricing - however, the check in process can be significantly improved, especially for frequent renters. Sixt already has all our information on file (incl credit card), so all you should need is ID and then handover the keys. Cheers
Not enough staff to complete pick-up in a timely manner. It took 20 minutes just to get served even though I had pre booked. Car cleaner should remember the inside of the windscreen. Great low km's vehicle. Comfortable and very economical.
Car was dirty, fuel tank was full, was told at the check in counter no damage was reported on the car, I took before photos and they show differently , also took after photos in case you try blaming me for any damage to the car. Car also

Overall great and easy experience! I find these trucks feel a bit more unbalanced as some others especially when empty, however whenever we have got a truck from Sixt its always super easy and vehicles are always clean!

I placed 'lost item' report on the SIXT website as I'd left an item in the car on returning it. The message was accepted with a commitment that they would shortly ring me - I still have not heard from them.
Good and courteous service. The car was clean but smaller than expected for five adults, the Toyota corolla we got was too tight. It will be nice to have better explanation on car sizes in your site.
