What a great place!!! The owner is so personable, love the vibes. The food is excellent delicious and beautifully presented ❤️ they have a great selection.of coffee to take home. Wonderful atmosphere, if you want to work, and meet people, great place for Meetings. Support small businesses!! A must try!!!! Better then Starbucks.

Such a quaint and delicious little spot. So many great options for caffeine drinkers or wine drinkers. My go-to’s for food are their cinnamon rolls as well as their chicken sandwich. Always excited to see what new art they have hanging up! The patio is also a sweet little area to grab a bite or a coffee in nicer weather. More

Easily my favourite place in the city! Such an amazing rotating menu and wine list - not to mention the beautiful space, specialty coffee, fun bar selections, and book shop. Plus, they're so close to the West Harbour GO station that it makes for the perfect landing/starting spot for anyone coming from/going to Toronto More

Been here a couple times and I got to say in Hamilton it has one of the best atmospheres. I always love going there and working. However, it is extremely overpriced. And one particular barista is most definitely not the friendliest. Their Wi-Fi also does not work despite them telling you the password. More

I love this place so much. I came every morning during a visit to Hamilton and am so sad that it’s not in England. The flat white is perfect and every team member was so lovely and friendly. There’s no better way to start the day than sitting in their window with a coffee and a book. More

Excellent coffee, delicious food, and immaculate vibes make this cozy cafe in the north end a fantastic spot to sit down and enjoy an hour or two, or grab a coffee and a quick bite, whether staying in Hamilton for the day or on your way to Toronto by the train just a minute away.

We spent Mother’s Day brunch at this place, and it turned out to be a perfect experience. The food is delicious, coffee is high quality (better be called speciality!) ,staff are super friendly and finally we loved the positive vibe of this cafe restaurant. More

Wow - delicious breakfast! We had the labneh and pesto, walnut, lemon meze and both were phenomenal and filling with the pita. Also tried the walnut and chocolate bubka and both had great taste. Love the middle east flavors! Super cute place in general. More

Recently discovered this place -- amazing space (art/architecture), awesome staff and some of the best food in Hamilton. I've been alone (for a snack and meal), and with my family (including two young kids); awesome experience; 6/5 stars. More

Yesterday was my first time trying the food at Synonym cafe, and I was NOT disappointed!! My friends ordered the 3 dip platter (one of which compared the labneh to her mother’s home made) and expressed their absolute love for the platter. I

A small coffee shop, organic wine and craft beer shop with the option to sit in or to go. The have a rotating selection of organic wines and local Ontario craft beers. While I was there the was a pop- up shop for a Toronto favorite, Burdock

Never disappointed here. The coffee tastes great. The food menu is small but everything I've tried is consistently delicious. Here you see the breakfast sandwich and the shakshuka. They also have a small fridge with takeaway bowls and wine.

My recent visit to SYNONYM, where I've been a regular, took an unexpected turn. Despite no prior notice or signage indicating a one-hour limit, I was pressured into making another purchase after just an hour. This felt like a forceful sale

Can’t wait to go back for the “Vanilla RAF”! Quaint little joint with seating inside and umbrella picnic benches outside. As this was our first time, staff were lovely offering ideas on menu items. As I love cream in my coffee, the waiter

Synonym Coffee has quickly become my go-to spot in the city. Located just a stone's throw away from the West Harbour GO station, it's incredibly convenient for both locals and those commuting from Toronto. The owner's warm and personable

Delicious fresh goods and warm drinks for the morning, sweet matcha was prepared excellently. New owner, kept the classic items on the menu that made Synonym what it is while introducing new and fresh concepts and dishes that looks to be

Really loud sometimes, not enough table or seating space, awkward layout, not the cleanest or accessible washrooms, but hands down best drinks in Hamilton. The food is hit or miss, but it’s a really cute place to just catch up with a

This cute cafe has a little bit of everything for everyone. Not only can you grab your cup of joe here, you can also try wine and craft beer and for those looking for something more there's plenty of baked goods to fill you up.

Really decent oatmeal latte. But the real stars here are the pastries. Which largely run out the door within an hour or so after opening. I managed to grab a biscuit and a cheese & jam pastry and they were the best

  • Chris Payne

I love this spot, it’s at the very end of downtown, so a little bit quieter of an atmosphere. The staff are super friendly, make killer coffee and made the experience a joy. I will absolutely be back!

One of the best cafe in town for sure. The place itself is lovely: light wood, fresh flowers, relaxing atmosphere, they even have a little reading nook by the window… and they play good music.

The food here at this Cafe is excellent! Ambience is pretty great too! The service is a bit slow & the servers may tend to seem overwhelmed when catering to a large group.
