Can’t comment on the atmosphere because I got it delivered via Uber Eats but damn; this place is top notch. The food is great! Generous portion sizes (don’t judge my photos… took it after sampling everything we ordered), just a wee bit oily but the food tasted great! And was hot! Definitely authentic and reminded me of home food. Something that’s quite rare out here. The only item we didn’t really like as much was the cheese naan. While the naan was soft, buttery and huge, the cream cheese filling wasn’t very appealing. But that’s just me! I can’t wait to try more of their food ❤️ P.S. We asked for all items to be mild and there was still a good amount of heat from all the food so order accordingly.

We ordered a pickup order through Uber from this place. When I got to the place there was nobody to greet at the counter but my order was sitting behind the counter. I had to wait a bit since nobody was showing up. We ordered Veg hakka noodles, veg manchurian and chicken lababdaar. The first bite of the food was enough to decide that it was EXTREMELY SPICY like HOT ENOUGH TO BURN YOUR INSIDES and no I am not overreacting. Manchurian was watery, chicken lababdaar was too thick almost like keema. We are never ordering from this place. I don't know about the other reviews of this place but I wont recommend a place that has poor service and can make you and yoir family sick.

The staff was very rude! Secondly, the tandoori chicken was smelling so bad. The gosht vindaloo had a very bad smell. It was definitely not fresh! When we called and told them about it they asked to come to the restaurant and then asked us to go back and get the food because they didn’t want to refund. They started talking about us in other languages (which we understood but they didn’t know) and then when we got the food back they said the Manager would call us but he didn’t even try. We received no call. I am not judging anyone here but the service, food and staff were bad to us.

Got mango butter chicken with naan bread and rice. The good: naan bread was very good. Plain rice was large and very good. Service was fast and pleasant. The chicken itself in the dish was good quality Chicken and good. The bad: the mango butter chicken sauce was a thick tomato paste; no curry, and hard to choak it down. Ate it because I was hungry. Not Indian food at all. Not butter chicken at all. Threw out the remaining. Dissapointing because it is close by.

I came here for a quick bite after a long walk in River Park. I took advantage of the lunch combo, and dare I say, I loved it. Naan was delicious, butter chicken was incredible. They also had some cauliflower side, which was surprising flavorful and hit just right. Overall top tier Indian food and would recommend to a friend. Appreciate this place and will be back!

We were stopping in the plaza to pick up something else when we saw the owner taking a picture of the sign and realized they just opened. Thought we’d try it and wow are we happy we did. Our young girls loved the coconut rice, my wife and I loved the palak paneer and the veggie korma was the best I’ve had. So glad this place opened up and we will be back many times. Prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. You can tell the food is cooked with pride.

It’s all gravy… and not in a good way. There were four smallish pieces of chicken in my entire butter chicken order, five pieces of broccoli in the veg korma special (the rest of the “vegetables” were just peas). The butter chicken gravy was so salty nobody could eat it anyway, so I guess it didn’t matter how much chicken was actually in it. Super disappointing food all around.

Ordered dinner from here tonight and was very impressed! So happy that Marda Loop/Altadore has a wonderful Indian place! Their curries are awesome! Very well priced and good portions! The naan and samosa are probably the best in the city! As a HUGE Indian food fan, I’ve eaten at probably every Indian food restaurant in the city and this is my new go-to Indian food place. This is a definite must try for everyone!!

I've been seeing posts from Saffron on the NextDoor app and finally decided to give it a shot. Great call - it was delicious! From the samosas to the naan, everything was hot, well spiced, and nicely portioned. In fact, my wife said she liked the butter chicken better than when I make it (and mine is from scratch, so slightly offended). We will definitely be back, and you should give it a shot!

Excellent dishes that I have tried: Palak Lamb, Chicken Momo, Chicken Tikka and finally the Naan! Yet to try the other dishes but suspect they will be great as well. I support this Marda Loop local Indian take-out and hope they will get enough business to stay. Also, I hope they will bring in Paapdi Chaat one day! For those who have never tried that, you don't know what you are missing :-D

We wanted to encourage local when we picked up dinner for four from Saffron Bistro. The food was delicious and the portions so generous that we had enough leftover for the next day. The table was filled with a wide variety of taste and texture: pakora, onion bhaji, paneer, shrimp, chicken, cauliflower, sausage, naan and rice. Affordable and tasty!

You cannot go wrong with this place!. We have tried several items from their menu and all is tasty and fresh. The service at the location is great too. They treat you with care and a smile. If you are on a rush, this is not your place, the food is good because they take their time to put togetherfor you. Order ahead. Highly recommended

Ordered the medium mango butter chicken, medium butter chicken, coconut rice, and garlic naan. Everything was excellent and fresh. Absolutely love the choice of spice level for butter chicken dishes which isn’t usually offered by most restaurants. We were big fans of the garlic naan with crispy garlic bits. Will order again!

Called in got some lunch. It was delicious! I got the Aloo Gobi, coconut rice, and garlic naan. It will end up being 2 lunches! I love some excellently made Indian food! I will be returning to try other dishes on the menu not because I didn't like what I got.. but because I'm excited to try more of this gentleman's cooking.

Ordered a chicken hakka noodles and chilli paneer from here tonight. Worst experience! The noodles hardly had 3-4 small pieces of chicken and we got chilli shrimp instead of paneer. We double checked our order and the receipt as well. Both stated paneer. But we got shrimps instead. Never ordering from here again.

Very good experience here! The Dal Masoor was on special so took a chance on it. Was the best dish out of everything we had! Highly recommended this place great food and portion size

Great taste, great value, and friendly staff. Not a 5 for me as it’s heavier than I like (oily). I had the rogan josh and korma and will go back to try more. Only thing I didn't spot on their menu (maybe I missed it) is a fish curry as that is usually my go-to for Indian.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Saffron bistro. I had biriani with MANGO BUTTER CHICKEN. Considering the quality (which is best), the price is reasonable. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal!

Such amazing food and the most friendly and kind staff!! We literally followed this delicious smell on a walk one day and now we come here all the time!! My favourite is the Garlic Naan bread!! And butter chicken... and saffron rice :) Would 10/10 recommend!!

Cute little small business but the flavors are big. One of the best Indian food meals I've ever had. The flavors of everything were delicious and the portion sizes were great. I cannot recommend them enough.

Delicious Indian food that have "authentic" spice levels. I ordered a medium spicy and wow that really hit the spot on the spice level. Not " let me eat a whole liter of yogurt after this meal" level, but not a "that's what they call spicy?" Either.
