When I arrived in Calgary, it was late, but the next day was a Sunday and storage units were closed. I was looking for a place not too far from where my daughter lives for convenience. I called the 'after-hours' number (very convenient!) and made a reservation. Very quick, simple yet solid. Monday came...regular business day. Take 2 full days of driving, 1 assortment of aches and pains; add 1 old GPS thoroughly beaten and 1 jug full of 1 way streets in a new, strange city...and viola! perfect recipe for one cranky old lady! Did that throw Allysha off at Sentinel Storage (Manning Road - Calgary)? No way! Damage control went into action and by the time Allysha was finished (having secretly added professionalism, patience, understanding and a pinch of humour), she brilliantly turned that cranky old lady into quite an appealing dish. What? My nose is growing, Pinnochio? Lol - ok, ok, I was still old but it was still a miracle...I was no longer cranky ;) :)) On a serious note, after a rather stressful 'season' before and during a long distance move, my patience and 'nice' personality had gone into hibernation apparently. Allysha answered all my naive questions with professionalism, as I had no idea if I had the right size unit; I did not require much space, as all my belongings fit (jammed) into the back of an SUV. A Suffice it to say, I was walked through the security system. Unit was clean and easy to access. Staff (Allysha and (i believe his name) Matthew) are polite, friendly, efficient and qualified staff. It's been a month, and I require one more month storage due to a small setback at the far end (I'm heading for an eastern province at the end of June). Allysha helped me further, as I was able to downsize and thus save expense. Sentinel Storage is a secure premise; has friendly professional staff that will get you the best unit for YOU, not for THEM (meaning if you need a smaller unit, they SUGGEST it. They do not push for profit). I take great care in writing a review, aiming for truth in a day and age where truth is getting harder to find. I also rely on reviews myself when I am searching for qualified and reputable businesses myself. Guaranteed that you will be pleased with your decision when you choose Sentinel. I am a stranger to them, so there is no agenda...just a desire to help the next person make an informed decision, just as I hope for a review to help me.

After reserving online we went into the store to pick-up our paperwork where we told wed have to pay double what was quoted. We were told that the price we were told was a promo and that the manager of the facility couldnt give it to us. So after leaving out of frustration we again reserved another unit for half the original qouted price (26.30$ all in).. We returned to store, was told again they wouldnt honor it. I asked to speak with her manager and was told that she was unable to speak with me because she was driving, I called and pushed 2 and was hung up on by her colleague and then was forced to speak with option one. A nice lady honors the 26$, we paid and the store manager came in from outside after calling the regional manager I was unable to speak with due to her driving to Red Deer. I apologized for being rude if I was and that it wasnt personal to which she then informed me that after just speaking with her manager (while driving?) that she was unable to rent to me at all anywhere. The woman on the phone was very helpful and tried other locations to no avail and then after beig told wed be refunded, we were double charged by the location (after we left). I called back, the woman on the phone after letting me know that the reginal manager was travelling, called with me on hold and then assured me that id have have a refund by the end of the day. Not exactly a resolution after the frustration, wasted time and still need storage.

I’ve been a renter of a space at this location for the better part of 3 yrs. I have paid with cash for that entire time and now I’ve been informed that sentinel storage no longer accepts cash as a form of payment. They claim it’s for the safety of the employees and has nothing to do with covid at all. Had I known this I would have moved all my stuff to a different storage facility. However I was never informed. They have now added 2 late charges on my acct and the problem is that I’m not actually refusing to pay them their money they just won’t accept my cash. They have locked me out and have now threatened me that if it’s not paid in the next 2 weeks they will be auctioning off my stuff. But I’m willing to pay it. This would not be an issue if they just took my cash. I would recommend finding a different storage supplier to put your things as this is a violation of my right to pay with our currency. Cash is our national currency and should always be a method of payment.

Kevin, from Online Inquiries, demonstrated truly impressive professionalism, going out of his way to ensure that my requirements and needs were fulfilled (and then some)— Having rented lockers, for work and personally, I’ve never had even close to as seamless an experience as with Kevin at Sentinel. Even though I was renting out of province, I doubt it could have been easier if I were there in-person I’m almost at a loss for words, at the professional and quality approach taken by this representative... He got me a more appropriately sized locker than why I had requested —saving me money; He ensured I was aware of the available and eligible promotions —saving me money; He followed up instantaneously with my quote / receipt / other necessary info —saving me time; I couldn’t have asked for a better experience; and genuinely hope this guy gets his due for such commitment to a positive customer experience

The red headed lady there was absolutely no help what so ever. She was completely rude and showed it from the minute we showed up. When something went wrong with my mother’s original booking for a unit that we would share I offered to put it in my name or to book a whole new unit. How ever she turned away business because she didn’t want “third party” rentals. How ever it was the same situation who ever names it was in. The red head woke up and decided she didn’t want our business and recommended public storage down the street because they “might help us” WELL let me tell you the people at public storage were absolutely amazing and cheaper! So thank you red head for suggesting public storage. They are absolutely amazing and anyone should second guess going to sentinel storage as they are miserable people that don’t care. Public storage for the win.

Terrible customer service!! They lied about the amount for the locker. Lied about dates they’d take out money. Took almost 300 dollars after the locker was empty. Stated I’d been there almost a week extra but the locker was empty. Not one rep was helpful or consistent in information. Said I may get a refund in up to 6 weeks. Calvin the manager doesn’t answer or call back customers. And reps refuse any assistance to speak to accounting or any higher up to correct their terrible lack of incorrect information!! This place is more expensive than anywhere else once you figure out their actual price once they pull it from your bank. DO NOT STORE HERE. It’s been an absolute nightmare with no competent assistance from anyone. Constant mistakes and misinformation. Incredibly unprofessional group.

I was very happy with the way I was served at Central Sentinel Self-Storage. I find Gina to be a very gentle person that i felt the warmth not typical in a business organization and I felt very much at ease. She was very thorough in explaining to me the details on how the storage operates. I got a heated unit and I find the temperature just perfect for me. The unit is very clean. In fact the whole building is clean. I was fascinated with how the carts look shiny and very clean and they are easy to push. The wheels are well-oiled. When I moved my things, I find it so secured having my car parked inside the enclosed parking area. And lastly, the location is very convenient to me as it is only a 5-minute walk to where I work.

I am horrified with the Customer Service, sizes of storage space and the high rates compared to other storage units. I spoke to "The Manager" that West Key is literally half the rate than Sentinel Storage, I was told that "Sentinel Storage has to pay their Shareholders" - by gouging their clients. The next bill, after this conversation, they hiked my bill by an additional $30.00 and add tax to that as well. For example: A 5 X 8 Unit at Sentinel Storage is $230.00 plus tax, a 5 X 8 at West Key is $130.00 plus tax. A 5 X 6 at West Key is $ 100.00 plus tax. Please shop around before you commit, West Key will give you a month's free if you pay in advance. I just cut my storage fees in half by moving to West Key.

I have used Sentinel Storage in 2 locations in the past few years. 1 in Red Deer and recently in Calgary (410 Manning Road N.E) In July I got hurt at work and was on wcb. I did my best to keep communication with them and in return, they did their best to accommodate me while I transitioned from being on payment and getting back to work and getting my finances balanced. Yes, it's a bit more $ than some places but the Security and the Customer Service you get with this company, is a value that makes it worth while. I have the utmost appreciation for the Service that I have recieved for almost a year up until today, when I finally was able to remove my belongings. Thank you Sentinel Storage for everything.

The service is ok when you are asking for the service but if there is an issue it changes at all. the rent is increasing too frequently and suddenly I was charged 16 additional dollars for protection that I did ask for, so my rent went from 80+ to 102 dollars just like that, when I cancel the service I was not refunded for the days that I already paid and were not suppose to use, when I got the service I was told that if I cancel I would be refunded. when I told the lady that I wanted to cancel because of the constant rent increases and this protection thing, she rush to tell me that there were not refunds and hang out the phone. I definitely would not recommend this service at all. - Jose

I needed to rent out a storage space last minute this past month and I had the pleasure of interacting with Kevin on the phone. He was fantastic! He made sure I got the best deal for my dollar and that I made the most of all the offers Sentinel currently had. He made this process super easy, efficient and thorough. I got a great rate on a 5' by 10' space and they threw in free insurance for the first month. The folks at the front desk are also super great! They helped me check in quickly, set up auto payments and threw in a welcome gift bag. After visiting a few other storage companies' websites in the area, I won't consider anyone else for my storage needs!

Yah know their is a huge safty issue with your place and I've been there personally cleaning it up for you. My suggestion is BLOCK OFF the mini area from your garage to outside parking area. Theirs no signs No pilons stating no entry No jersey barrier And when a customer of yours uses this short cut Their left with side wall damage to their tires and inconsiderate staff blaming the customers..... I'd honestly do what you should be doing AND PUT UP SIGNAGE this is complete bull And YOU SHOULD BE ADRESSING THIS. And since road side brings me TO MY CUSTOMERS at YOUR facility. I'll complain for THEM. SOMEOME NEEDS TO SAY SOMETHING... reviews are forever

The unit was too small so I requested changes to the size of my units and they changed it. But they gave me wrong unit that was double booked. I spent more than one hour to solve this. Service Centers was not helpful and also at the end he cut off my phone. The next day the phone rang again, she said they never double booked unit. But I saw that was locked (not a green or yellow thing) and someone using that. Just ridiculous that words have never been on, let alone an apology for that. Only one person said sorry to me who helps me. I speak to education is the urgent need for the service of all employees.

I spent a bunch of time researching storage companies in Calgary. I tried to reserve ahead of time at a few of the places and no one would hold it in advance. So I kept searching, then I found Central Calgary Sentinel, not only was their price the best for the small type of unit I was looking for but I could reserve it ahead with a deposit. Also the communication was great, they e-mailed me back right away and I spoke to Gina on the phone and she was super sweet and helpful. It's nice to have it all set up and know it will be ready for us next month!

Thank you Sentinel Storage! After several years of storing my trade show fixtures with Sentinel Storage Calgary Central, I have finally emptied my storage locker and can't say enough good things about my time with Sentinel. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff have gone the extra distance to help me organize my storage needs through email, received deliveries, sent me photos of locker contents, and helped with move-out. I recommend them to anyone looking for storage in the Calgary area; you won't be disappointed.

From start to finish, the staff were efficient, professional and extremely helpful. Super easy to get a hold of anyone, either via email, phone or in person. The location is perfect and units logistically easy to navigate with any size moving truck. I felt very safe leaving all possessions in their facility for 8 months while I was out of province. Fair priced and well kept units. I find writing reviews tedious, but wanted to make sure I gave them a shout out because it's a top notch place!

The staff at sentinel helped me make an informed choice about my needs after my house burnt down and offered me all the promotions they could to support me in my time of need. The site is clean, secure and I felt confident leaving my possessions in this space. The close out procedure was fast, simple and there were no hidden policies for leaving. I have rented a small unit 5 months ago with Laureen and Tanya. I'd want to say that they both were very friendly, helpful and didn't hesitate to show me around the place before i was making decision to rent. Checking out was smooty easy peasy. There are other storages nearby but i'd rather choose this location other than them. The service was outstandings, i wouldn't want to go whereelse to be honest!

I had my storage room broken into and their insurance they make you pay is absolutely useless. And your stuff is not safe there. nowaday prices over six grand worth of stuff went missing all I got out of it was 1800 bucks and had to pay full price until the day I left. it was a big inconvenience to this day, not one of them knew what was going on. And take forever to reply to any kind of email.

A brother's health calamity forced my sudden need for storage space as his apartment gets emptied. This location has the one of the best price points of the Calgary search I did. The facility is easy to get to and well maintained. The staff are very service oriented. I switched credit cards and I was late with a payment. Before any penalties were incurred the staff let me know via text and email. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for storage services!

I am very happy with my decision to store all of my belongings here while I was away. The move in was surprisingly easy and hassle free. It's in a good location and a nice facility but the customer service was definitely the best part of the experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful to deal with over the phone and in person. These folks - Tanya, Flo - are great. Facilities are immaculate. EVERYTHING is tidy; and how often does one wipe a basin themselves after washing one's hands because the washroom is just so damn immaculate? I did. Free usage of their (large) cutaway truck, just pay for fuel. Easily amongst the best rates in the city. A no-brainer 5 stars. Thanks guys.

Great customer service. I did not lock my unit properly, I got a call from them as soon as they found out, so I can secure my it and lock it properly. Great location, felt secure and safe for my storage items, and staff very good to deal with unlike my very, very terrible experience with peigen trail storage where the scam artist from india use tricks and screw people over when checking out. Nice clean facility and helpful staff. I have had a locker here for over a year. No hassle upgrade/downgrade in locker size when I needed it. They just recently built a covered shelter to access the temperature controlled units in the winter (not shown in picture). Very nice. Move in truck is convenient.

Their location is kind of weird to get to, but their facilities are great. It's always clean, and we have access to our stuff whenever we want it, and it is never busy. Service has been great, even calling us to let us know that we'd left our unit not locked properly. Would totally recommend.

I've shared this space with a friend to store vehicles over the winter. This year I needed summer storage and they were able to get me into a unit right away and gave a referral bonus. Very friendly, clean and quite organized. Looks to be managed much better than other companies in Calgary.

An okay place. You can get cheaper prices else where. There offered half month off over the phone but when I got there, there was a promo for $1 per month. Should have been nice to disclose this instead of giving me only half month off. All the same a good and clean place.

I have been living overseas for 8 years. Sentinel has been a vital service for me. Storing your prized possessions while you're thousands of kilometres away can be a little unnerving. Sentinel's quality service and security have put my mind at ease. I highly recommend it.

I used the indoor heat control locker at sentinel storage. All of my items remained in great condition for the two years I rented the locker. Friendly staff, easy access to your locker if you need to take or add something. Very secure, never worried about my things.

Office hours are 9-5 so if you have anything to do with the actual store. Either keep up your payments or make sure you don't work. Because I work out of town and processing my payments is an actual nightmare. They won't help you past 5pm

Good storage unit. Lots of sizes. Drive up. Good security. Can enter you unit at 6am and have access till 23:00.(11pm) prices can be high but if you can pay them then it’s worth it!
