Shepherd West Station on Line 1 provides a pleasant and convenient commuting experience. The station's beautiful design and well-maintained facilities create a welcoming atmosphere for passengers. With reliable and frequent train service for both northbound and southbound journeys, the station ensures minimal waiting times. The availability of amenities, such as ticketing machines and shops, adds convenience to the overall experience. The staff members are friendly and helpful, further enhancing the positive impression of the station. While not outstanding, Shepherd West Station is a solid choice for commuters seeking a comfortable and efficient travel experience on Line 1.
Honestly, with all due to respect I am very upset with 105A drivers. I literally ran to a bus that was parked with open doors, driver closed doors in front of my face and drove away. I would understand if I was 1km away and she/he had specific schedule and couldn’t wait. However, I was right in front of the bus. I am pretty sure it was a woman with blond hair. You all serving public and that careless attitude can’t be a part of the job. Hopefully that does not cost me my job and someone would actually give her a “yellow card” for acting this way. Thank you everyone who is passionate about their job and people they drive!
Hands-down the best subway station in the entire system. The station is gorgeous and always clean. There is natural light at platform level, while still being underground, meaning that temperatures are relatively consistent. The station also has an excellent bus terminal with convenient connections to the 84 (A, C, D), 101, 104, 105A, 106, 107, 108 (A, B), 117, as well as express buses 984 (A, B). The terminal also serves night buses 329 and 384, and YRT bus 105 on the street. The station is accessible and has plenty of exits for Downsview dwellers. There is also plenty of parking available for those that need it.
One of the nicely designed and well built subway stations.I have been to almost every subway station in Toronto and i must say this is one of the largest ones.It has lot of space and it is a heaven for people who feels uncomfortable in crowds.Even if there is a large crowd this would make it feel less .The ceiling is high as well.It connects the North to South Via Buses and Trains and East to West Via buses .Most of the routes has a really good service. The station is built away from all the hassle so it is convenient. There is a passenger pick up which is also a nice addition. This is one of the best in my opinion.
Why did they build this with such weirdly narrow escalators? They aren't as narrow as single line escalators but are much narrower than any other escalator, anywhere. I thought the focus would be on getting people moving through the station quickly and easily but it sure isn't easy to walk up the left side of the escalator when people on the right take up 2/3 of the width. Such a weird design decision! I guess it's about saving money but it seems like something that they will regret as more people use the station.
There are buses that will take you to the Sheppard-Yonge side of the subway map and not a very long bus ride. Parking is free on weekends and statutory holidays which is great to park and head downtown. Will also connect to the Toronto-York Spadina subway extension when it opens. The only negative at certain times of the day the trains can get backed up going into downsview or go out of service one stop prior.
Line 1 last stop busses are provided to Wilson station. Station will be closed for 10 days for renovation. TTC staff will direct you to busses and where to board. Signs are posted everywhere to maintain social distance and at all times wear a mask. Bus run very frequently every 5-7 minutes. Very well organized.
A massive and truly amazing station, one of the best on the network, it actually feels like it’s a part of a great subway system rather than a rinkey dink stop like Glencairn or Donlands. Bus connections are seem less and well laid out and it’s certainly a station that I can’t complain about one bit.
The station is overall good and has very good service, but there are too many useless routes at the terminal. The bus routes I would suggest is the 84, 104 and 105. Who needs the other routes when you have the extended subway to Pioneer Village? Beware, travellers. Your in for a pointless treat.
This station is really gorgeous compared to a lot of TTC stations. The station has a beautiful design while heading to the subway. Everything from the bus bays to the architecture are truly spectacular. It has washrooms and is wheelchair accessible which is good.
Much better than Finch or Sheppard-Yonge because at Downsview there are usually less people all the time compared to those 2 stations. Only downside is that you have to first go down the stairs and then go back up another set of stairs to reach the bus platform.
End of the Line or Beginning! New, clean & easy access from the road and buses. Lots of vending machines for ticket purchase. Many services around area as well. Hywy 7 is there on South side of station. Pay parking only across the road on east side.
This is the terminus station - the furtherest northbound station on the Union University line #1 of the Toronto TTC Subway. There is a bus terminal joined to the station to get you further north, or travel east or west. - A Richard Trus Review
This station is no longer the terminus. Still many buses have to connect here and it is quite nice and spacious. Entrances on north and south sides and also used to be called Downsview
clean and tidy subway station.. this place has direct busses to Sheppard-Yonge subway station and also connects North (Vaughn Metropolitan Center) and South bound (To Union station)
Nice, clean station, and despite the subway extension to Vaughan, Sheppard West Station remains useful for those who need a bus to destination west, north or east of this station.
Bus service is really bad at this station , the bus was in 5 min and It became 17 min and I got late to work, I would prefer subway or try finch west or any other station.
105A dufferin street bus drivers are slacking everyday of the week .....bus delays 3 times before you could get a chance to ride
You can take a lot of buses here to different places. Short walk from subway platform to buses. Have washroom and small store.
I like how this station is built but not how it is laid out. It is not a great place to get on the subway wilson is better
Nice station with pickup loop. Connects to lots of busses though there is not much of anything immediately around it.
Store is too expensive. The train is slow upon arrival. It is one of the newest stations, spotless, and lovely.
this station has a mini store and a lotto place and one of the only ttc stations to have washrooms
Great subway station (personally my favourite) Easy to read signs, nice waiting area.
Beautiful station, large, everything is conveniently located and understandable
Proper signages, indicators, parking available, timely announcements,
Nice station. Good access. Lots of parking. Busy station
From subway to buses easy-going and clean ...
