Subway station
"I am almost always frustrated with this station"
"To me Warden subway station one of the busiest and oldest station in Scarborough and lots a transit buses connecting to different routes from this station but sadly there is no elevator nor any sloppy space in Warden Subway station where you can have an access to carry heavy stuffs with you "
"Great connectivity options from this station if you are coming to the station on a bus"
"An interesting station"
"Good food at 'cafe on the go', including basic breakfast sandwich with bacon ends, good patties, good donuts"
I am almost always frustrated with this station. The bus times on the TVs are usually incorrect. The signs flashing 'bus at platform' flash when the bus is at the opposite end of the platform, not letting anyone on and often don't flash when the bus is in fact at the platform boarding passengers. The worst is that the buses just idle on the platform for 5-10 minutes, not pulling forward to board passengers. There will be 30 people clearly waiting on cold days and no one pulls the bus forward and opens the door. This is the only station I see this happen, and it makes no sense! Pull the bus forward and let people sit down! Most of them are students who usually use their time sitting on the bus to study. And turn off the buses if they are idling that long! It's terrible for air quality!
To me Warden subway station one of the busiest and oldest station in Scarborough and lots a transit buses connecting to different routes from this station but sadly there is no elevator nor any sloppy space in Warden Subway station where you can have an access to carry heavy stuffs with you .I was in transit towards Lawrence and warden, I was not aware about it. If you ever carry any heavy stuffs by trolley or wheelchair or baby stroller and planning to have a transit from Warden station then please choose different route to travel otherwise keep yourself prepared to climb long stairs which is quite risky as I found.
Great connectivity options from this station if you are coming to the station on a bus. Over all, the station is great for functionality but it isn't the coziest station. It's very cold in the wintertime and it's not the most beautiful station either. There food here if are hungry which Is a plus for regular commuters. The best part about this station would definitely by the bus connectivity which can get you from your bus stop to anywhere on one fare.
An interesting station. You can get food here, which is unique, but the individual bus bays are below the concourse, and there's no elevators. Just stairs. Lots of them. When the wind blows in the right direction, you can get a nice wind tunnel effect whilst waiting for the bus. The subway here is at ground level, so it tends to get a little chilly in the winter & pretty hot during heat waves.
Good food at 'cafe on the go', including basic breakfast sandwich with bacon ends, good patties, good donuts. Warden station does get cold in the winter as there is no waiting area enclosed completely from the outside, but it has the cleanest bathrooms of any subway station. I swear every time I go to use the washroom there someone is cleaning it no matter the time of day.
nice station… But… service slows down when there’s traffic and rush hour. Extra star for beef Pattie’s. delicious. Sausage rolls questionable?… good fashion stores if ur looking for a boutique on ur way to a job interview from WARDEN station!!!… so windy though so maybe don’t buy a skirt… lovely staff. WARDEN station is a 10 but 5 was the highest I could vote.
In my opinion, one of the better stations. Not much has changed over the years. I like that it's not too crowded, signage is great showing directions, boutiques and food stores. Free weekend parking. The South lot claims to have 150 spaces, I don't think so, it fills up fast. If you don't mind walking a bit, you will definitely find a spot on the North lot.
i just love the beef patty mixed with coco bread at this location. i will never forget those high school days when i used to wait for my bus and would be eating a beef patty and coco bread. the place definitely has gotten some renovation and it looks great. also, i didn't have to wait that long for my bus to come through.
Top tier station here! Can always count on the timely service to take me westbound into the city, or eastbound towards Kennedy! Many food options available to take a little break and snack, such as patties, baked goods, coffee, etc. Not the newest and most modern station around, but it definitely has a respectable vibe!
bone chilling winds whip through the entire top floor , clean toilets (toilets alone gets 1 star) , but no wheelchair access !! in 2017 people !! shops have some edible foods , best part would be getting a seat on the subway before it really stars to fill up during rush hours
The original Warden Station...yeah sure it's cold during the winter season with the bitter cold spewing in...yeah sure there used to be gang fights here over a decade ago...but it's a way home, known locally for a good place to grab a good patty on your way home.
No ramp for wheelchairs, buses make you wait outside to the very last second and we get too hot or too cold depending on the time of the year by waiting outside. Line 68 is the worst line I have ever used, upto 25 minutes during rush hour
One of the nicer stations on the Eastside. Splendid patties from the cafe. The tracks are outside and you get cell service here. There is a burning rubber smell by the tracks which has been the Warden Station signature for many years now.
A horrible look at the transit facility. How everyone has overlooked Warden and Main street's shity construction is a prime example of structural development in Scarborough. Winters are worst with no protection against the cold drafts
People pay monthly passes in order to save the service and the hope of commuting, but the buses are so late or don't even arrive at any station, then I have to pay for uber, so no reason paying montly pass and then have to pay another
Bus 8 the one who goes to Braodveiw station always late , today I was waiting for the bus almost 40 minutes, I don't know why the bus is too late . It's really bad , wasting time and frustrating. Please manage your schedule.
I can’t say enough about Warden Storage. The manager (Amey) went above and beyond what excellent customer service is. I have recommended Warden Storage to my friends and family. I’m extremely pleased with they’re service.
I have to take the bus 68 and it’s always packed because there is a school like 2 blocks ahead and these lazy kids take the bus instead walking... maybe TTC should add more buses for this route during the morning
Single platform with both eastbound and westbound trains, buses , cafe, shopping! The station is dirty with patched up floors in the platform. Also has lot of them just hanging around..Makes me feel unsafe
Pretty cold in the winter and a lack of wheelchair accessibility is unfortunate but the seamless bus connections, food options, and unique design make it a very attractive station.
It's really dirty during rainy/snowy days, and gets really cold during the winter. The only redeeming quality for this station are the patty shops; they're pretty great.
Outdoor station. Can't get out of the cold in winter. Not accessible due to no elevators, very strange for an area with young families with little kids and strollers.
When I cam to Canada this was the fist station that I have ever used and I was amazed and until date I am still amazed how amazing our transit is. Thank you TTC
The station is ok. It's lacking one thing though, Accessibility. No elevators at all so disabled people have to go to Kennedy station to access elevators.
Plenty of small shops to.keep you occupied while you're waiting for a comnecting ride . The Station is very clean and open with lots of fresh air.
The buses are terrible in rush hour. Especially the 16. However, Canadians are very polite, always standing in line for the buses.
Usually very clean, the weather does come inside a bit especially when it rains. Great food places though. Amazing patties.
Good, but it has limited escalator, also the bus stop shows that bus is on platform, but it's fse alarm most of the time.
Needs updating and an elevator. Too many levels and stairs from the bus stalls to the subway. Needs revamping
Big, spacious station with delicious beef patties. Convenient area to catch trains and buses.
A couple of good food shops in here. One even has rice and noodle dinners. Cafe on the Go
Very easy access to busses and busses available for multiple destinations
Bus waits are abysmal but that goes for every station to be fair
The bus drivers have no respects for people or traffics
The worst ever experience every other time.
A small station, but not much crowded
