Inexperienced and immature Failed to diagnose heamorrhagic gastroenteritis after two consults on consecutive days. Rushed my dog to emergency animal hospital where consulting vet tries to be impartial but subtlety tells me not to return to this suburban vet practice. Diagnosis should have been picked up day 1 but their vet had instead tried to sell me anti-anxiety homeopathic natural food remedy. Pretty sure my 8 yr old dog has never lost the entire contents of his stomach and bowel for two days straight over anxiety. Day 2 different vet writes (in notes, obtained for pet insurance) "owner highly strung", yes, concerned my dog now worse and no closer to diagnosis. Vet takes stool sample, says there is nothing wrong. Animal Emergency Vet tells me, "your dog's stool resembles Jam, why did your vet not start treatment"? THESE VETS ARE INEXPERIENCED, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

I have been looking after my parent's 15 year old dog for the last month. Unfortunately, while I have had her, she developed a life threatening infection (as a result of not being desexed as a pup) which all became pretty overwhelming for me as she was otherwise a very healthy little dog so full of life. The staff at Sherwood Vet Practice made the decision to operate on her so easy. The day I dropped her off the have her operation, I felt as thought I couldn't have left her in better hands. They have provided constant support to ensure she has had a smooth recovery and have been on hand for any questions or worries I have had along the way. My little dog is due to get her stitches out next week and she is already bouncing around full of life again as happy as can be and I have all the staff at Sherwood Vet to thank.

This is our usual vet clinic and up until now we had no issues. However, yesterday my cat was experiencing a medical emergency, and the staff let me know that he should be seen urgently, but couldn’t be seen by them. The services they offer online include emergency medical care, but instead we had to take our cat on a 30 minute journey to an emergency vet. Upon trying to book an appointment in with them to follow up on my cats health (highly recommended by the emergency vet as he was hit by a car) they informed me that they had no availability until next week, and that I would again need to take him elsewhere. Do not claim to offer emergency care if you only offer it occasionally.

Our cat needed a vet-directed urgent follow-up check to ascertain the likelihood of organ failure due to crush injuries from a dog attack suffered on the weekend. Due to an apparent shortage of vet staff, this clinic bluntly refused to see Tilly (even though we have used this clinic since moving to the area last year). Thankfully we were able to find another vet who was more than willing to examine Tilly (especially when told of the reason for the required check). Neither that vet, nor the one who admitted Tilly over the weekend, could believe that Sherwood Vet refused to see her. Very poor indeed!

Thanks for following up - Sashi is doing vey well and I was really happy with the experience she had at the clinic. She was calm and almost her normal self when I got her home, unlike a previous vet visit where she had a horrible experience and was traumatised for days afterwards, wouldn't eat, couldn't sleep for longer than 30 minutes at a time, cried constantly and couldn't walk properly for nearly 3 days. So thank you so much for taking such good care

Dr Larissa is fantastic. I took my cat in knowing exaclty what the issue was, and the best course of action for him. Dr Larissa listened to, and validated me. I know that even if I had gone in not knowing the issue, Dr Larissa is obviously very knowledgeable and experienced and i feel comfortable in recommending her to all pet parents. Bonus points for having buy now pay later options, for what we all know can be a very expensive and stressful service.

James, Amy and Holly words can’t even explain how grateful we were for the way you looked after us last week when we had to bring Floyd in. James’ compassion and support was extraordinary. What a truly beautiful soul and the care Amy and Holly showed in helping us in and out of the practice so privately was of great comfort. We will always be so grateful to have found such a beautiful practice.

Our usual vet couldn't see our older dog who was struggling to walk and as Sherwood was the nearest Best for Pets vet I was so very grateful when they could fit us in on a Saturday morning no less. Very impressed with the staff from our initial phone enquiry to the vet we saw. Professional, warm and caring. If we lived closer I'd transfer our dogs care to them.

Good long term local vet. Excellent local vet, willing to go the extra yard for pets that can be difficult or need special handling. Gave both of my dogs extra treats and was very good at handling the animals and explaining things in regular terms for non vet people. The dogs were super excited to be at the vets and enjoyed themselves.

Money will always come second to life. If you have doubts just call them to arrange payment options and they will want payment up front. These maggots are not in it for the Animals, if you do not believe then call up and the facts will be shown.

If I could give unlimited stars I would. There's a difference between people doing just a job or something they love. Sherwood vet is in it for love of animals. They are very good on price as well. My fur baby couldn't be in better hands.

Great little vet with genuinely caring staff who you can tell aren't in it just for the money. Parking can be a bit of a hassle as it is quite limited but I've always been able to get a park (even if its the last one!)

I travel across town to visit this vet because they are so good to my cat. They kept me informed the whole time and didn't do anything without checking and explaining. Would highly recommend.

Does not offer emergency care despite claiming to do so we were turned away by clueless staff who couldn't even offer an alternative clinic for my dying cat.
