"I went to this shoe palace on Thursday which I will never again I bought a pair and the next day brand new haven’t even put them on my feet yet took them back I work in the mall, so I got a custom discount then the next day I was hoping to return them, but He didn’t accept to return them he made some fake bs that since I got a discount he can’t return them I was heated they scam you for your money I am going to try a different shoe palace because I knew right from the start he was lying I read the return policy over 50 times I don’t see anything over discounts liars"
I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to my worst enemy. It seems to me SHOEPALACE hires the most incompetent, selfish, untrained and disrespectful people you would ever run into. I purchased 2 pair of shoes from SHOEPALACE (which I’ll never do again) and after discovering a few issues with sizes I decided to return the shoes but got hit with quite a bit of resistance. Although I was within the 14 day window ( which is confusing since there website states 30 days) they wouldn’t let me return the shoes without the card used for the transaction. The shoes were purchased in store (store #139) in Austin, TX. Although the purchase receipt or the website do not state that the customer needs the transaction purchase card used for the transaction this is the excuse SHOEPALACE employees delivered to me. When I returned with the card and receipt they added that I was one day late after there 14 day return policy( again the website states 30 days) which is still poor operational management. SHOEPALACE has poor customer service training and poor skills at selecting a management team that provides good customer service. When a website states something totally different from there in store locations I would expect SHOEPALACE to recognize this and take the appropriate remedial action but I assumed too much and experienced the worse customer service I have ever received. To add the manager decided to argue and claim that SHOEPALACE is doing me a favor for the discounted price they offer to military personal. I didn’t know the military discount is an actual favor, I thought it was a thank you for the service thousands of service members provide to their county. Goes to show you that corporations claim they support veterans but in reality they support titles for FINACIAL gains and don’t support veterans. If you are a veteran stay clear and read all of the reviews before mine and you will see that what I say are facts. SHOEPALACE has over 150 private retailers so I wonder if the The Mersho Family has a clue on how it’s customers are treated. Now for all who read this post you will see the only response I will get is the generic computer generated one, it goes like this, “ We Sorry about your expeirence. We promise to review this issue with the location. Please come and visit us when you are ready” OR “Sorry for the poor experience. It's hard to comment on this situation without more info. Please feel free to message us if you have more info. Thanks.” SHOEPALACE has a very poor customer service response team and a very poor effort in trying to fix the situation. Yeah it may sound like whining but I just don’t want anyone else experiencing this type of customer service again. It’s unfortunate but they will never get this veterans business again.
Do not do business with this company. They have no concept of customer service after the sale. We purchased shoes for my son 34 days prior and the sole was coming apart at the toe. We went in to exchange the defective shoes for a new pair and were told that they don't do refunds ever and exchanges are only done within 30 days AND if the shoes have never been worn. Who finds out a shoe is defective by never wearing them? Who buys shoes and never wears them? Their 'policy' more or less says as soon as you walk out that door, you are no longer a concern of ours, but thank you for your money today. Regardless of the fact that the defective shoe should not fall under this policy anyway, they do not post this policy anywhere in the store, only on the bottom of the receipt AFTER they have your money. They almost take pride in this 'policy' - each person I talked to up the chain of command couldn't have cared less about customer service or repeat business and stated the policy as a badge of honor. When I spoke to Anthony Charmonte, the regional manager, and explained he is the one with the relationship and credit account with New Balance so they should have some exchange process set up (like I have had to do at Academy before with my own defective shoe - an easy exchange I might add), he said yes, they buy shoes from NB, but there is "not some sort of magical place that they can send defective shoes". He didn't like when I asked if there is not this magical place, then where exactly does he think he is asking me to go to return them. After I asked for his boss' name and number, he hung up on me which falls in line with the customer service approach this ill-runned establishment is based.
Absolutely unbelievable. Stay far away from this particular store. Have purchased more than 50 pair of shoes from this company and have never returned a single pair. Bought my 10 year old a pair of nike airmax and she never even put them on her feet. She didn't like them when we brought them home. Again never put them on to even try them on and when we tried to return them the so called manager Vic claimed they had been worn and wouldn't return them. They look brand new with a white sole which I see no signs of wear. The other person at the register even agreed they should take them back but Vic still said no. I will never shop here again period. Place is great until you need to return a pair of never worn shoes with the receipt - As you can see from the response from the owner/manager below they could care less of taking care of their repeat customers - how am i supposed to contact you when you leave no contact info- no name, number or email.
Terrible service. They not only lied to me about the shoes I bought from them but they also charged me for things they said would be free with my purchase. The management was also extremely disrespectful. I came back here to return a pair of unworn shoes that I purchased yesterday and the original manager that scammed me wouldn’t accept them. The funny thing is I went to the other shoe palace near UT right after and they accepted my return with no issues unlike this location. This location has miserable employees that take out their frustration on customers. I’ll be filing a report against both managers with corporate because their behavior was completely uncalled for and inappropriate.

Shoes never refunds and treat on customers so badly never buy any damage shoes in this store. These shoes wear 2 months been damage Managers treated and never talk nice to every customers and not services right thing's. Also, customer doesn't do anything wrong.is just refunds news shoes that is. Managers and employee doesn't care to me doesn't like to talk to me I been ask so nice about shoes. Terrible services by employee with managers. Everyone do not buy treated shoes in this stores. I don't know why give them star.
Horrible, lying customer service. They sold us a defective pair of shoes and then told a lie about how they could not refund them and we had to take them to the Nike Outlet store from where Shoe Palace had purchased them and marked them up. The lying manager must still be laughing about this one. Sent my husband to the Outlet mall and the Nike Outlet manager and a former employee of Shoe Palace told him this was not true and Shoe Palace can and does refund for defective shoes. Never, never, never, never again.
I asked for some help on a pair of shoes and this guy on the floor told me I had to wait for someone in the back to come out and helped me, and I waited 10 minutes & no one cared to ask if I needed help. I walked up to the register and asked if I could be assisted and I was told to ask someone on the floor. Honestly my experience here was irritating.
Manager AJ poor customer service, told me he put a shoe up for me. I get there after driving 1hr and he tell me the shoe not in stock , after we confirm the shoe was put up for me the day before. This the manager!!!!Stay away people, I will not shop at shoe palace again!!!!!All I can say , disappointment... Need better leadership
The sir who identified himself as the manager "Tyrone" was extremely rude to the customers. He kept making very innaproporiate your mama jokes, which me and my family found very unprofessional. I recommend everyone to visit footlocker before visiting this unfriendly store, and footlocker is better anyway.
It was a great vibe with great employees the service was top notch. With little of no wait for them to find my shoes in the back. And one thing I can count on is they always have my size. Especially whenever youre out looking for new sneakers size availability definitely matters. Thanks
Tyrone is the rudest manager I ever met first I tried to return something and he refused to take it then slaps a shoe out of my hand and then called security and me like I was the problem and I explained what happened then he dissed my mom after I told him I’m going to go to footlocker
My boy Jidion was told that he couldn't get his size 13 at Shoe Palace and the manager Tyrone was also making numerous "Yo Mamma" jokes back at Jidion, calling the security and they wouldn't leave him alone!... mannnnn my boy just wanted his Size 13! PS: Foot Locker is better!
One of my friends JiDion just wanted a size 13 pair of shoes but experienced horrible customer service by Tyrone. Tyrone was rude, but most of all extremely disrespectful towards both JiDion and his mother. Don't go here unless you want your shoes slapped out of your hands.
