Just transferred to this pharmacy recently and at first they were good but the last few times I asked for a prescription to be delivered due to my work schedule I am unable to pick up my script, I spoke to a pharmacy assistant and she said she will put it for delivery the following day, it did not come. So I just gave benefit of a doubt that they got busy which is fine, called 2 days later just to follow up on my prescription spoke to somebody different they said that it is out for delivery the following day. Waited for the script and it did not come, called for the third time and somebody said It is out for delivery the following day, waited and nothing arrived, finally on the fourth day I called and they said that it was still there but when I spoke to somebody the day before they reassured me that it is going out for delivery. I still did not received until finally got a day off at work and I just picked it up. I was kind of disappointed that it did not get delivered since I kept calling and they kept saying it is out for delivery but it was always in pharmacy. Today Aug 29 @ around 8pm spoke to the pharmacist, and asked for a refill, he sounded rude on the phone and sounded irritated, im usually kind and patient but the service was not great, ive also called multiple times and nobody answered until 10-15 mins later. Ive also called before and was put on hold for 30 mins on a different day and when somebody finally picked up they just hang up on the phone.
Dear Store Manager, It is 7.30 PM, March 13, 2021 . I went to your store at Cosmetics area to return some products I bought the other day. I simply wanted to return some products to buy the other ones. After my through research, thought I should pick other ones other than the one i bought. Its simply that. Alex, the beauty technician, asked me three times " WHY" do i return products when my answer is that i don't like the products, and wanted to get some other ones instead. She gave me an attitude that made me feel so uncomfortable. She did not try to solve the issue at the cashier which was not caused by me. I was patiently waiting for the cashier to attempt to complete the transaction. Again, she kept asking me such questions that make me feel so so uncomfortable. Alex, if you read this, you should have apologized. Put yourself in client's shoes. I do dislike the way Alex treated me today. Honestly, she not only give me the attitude in way of asking questions, the starring look, the questions. I live nearby and your store and our entire family is regular customers. I respectfully request the store manager to enhance the customer service or provide some customer service training to Alex. I do thank you other cashiers who tried to solve the problem with patience. Alex gave me the worst experience that i have at this store. I am looking forward to any response from this post.

Well let me tell you, I walked right out, and I will never shop there again. What kind of company claims that they are built on a foundation of personal service when there is no one to provide personal service? Now if they wanted to reduce staff by bringing in machines so we can scan and bag our own items without getting paid, so that they can greatly lower their prices, I would be all for it. But this is not the case. Their prices are ridiculous. I can find the same items for almost half the cost elsewhere. It's all about the profits. Shoppers would rather cut jobs and let machines, and customers do the job, just to stuff more money into their pockets. Nothing but greed.
Literally the worst pharmacy I’ve ever used. Not hyperbole. I’ve even been to a pharmacy in the middle of nowhere in Jamaica on Christmas Day and had a better experience. Not once have I ever come and my order be ready. Ever. It’s really amazing. You can call and say please be ready in an hour and come in 5 hours later and it won’t be ready. Then they tell you 5 minutes. 30 minutes later you come back and they go back to their trusty computer because they don’t remember your face from 30 minutes ago and tell you it’s still not ready. I’m telling you there’s endless accounts of incompetence and apathy. I hate this place. Other shoppers that have been local to previous residences have been great. I write this as I sit in the chair waiting 2 hours after calling it in to be be picked up in an hour. That’s ok. I have a buzzer that may or not buzz at some point.
Big 2 day sale, I went in on Saturday they didn’t have the product advertised, inquired and was told they never received the shipment, asked about rain check told to come in on Sunday (Oct 30) to check if the product came in. Went in on Sunday still didn’t receive the shipment I asked for a rain check, Meeryl said there is no way of giving me one because they didn’t receive the product. Isn’t that the whole point of a rain check, it’s honouring the advertised offer. My point, my time is valuable I don’t feel like they cared about me the customer to make an effort to make it right. By the way I went to another shoppers location yesterday and the manager was quite understanding and accommodating to ensure I get the sale price once the product comes in. I’ll make a point to do my shopping at this location, simply better service and they value me.
This pharmacy is the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever used. The owner/operator always has an excuse on why they mess up. It''s either the doctor's fault, it's my fault and even head office when I have complained there it's been their fault it's always someone else's fault I am tired of every month them messing up my prescriptions. Unfortunately being disabled I need a pharmacy that is close and they are the only ones that are close but they are pathetic. I highly recommend if you are physically able to find a different pharmacy. If you must use this one there are two half decent pharmacists one is Kevin I don't know the other one's name and one of the tech's, her name is Ashley. they seem to be the only ones that know what they're doing but don't deal with the owner/operator he is useless and this has been going on for years.
I don't have small children so I went to shoppers to buy gift cards saw the Disney gift cards, thought kids love Disney I can't go wrong, little that I knew I had spent $150 and there is no Disneystores anywhere in Canada. I went back to the store and they said call 1800 # and was told gift cards are final sale and i get that so why are you selling cards that we can't use. I feel that is falsifying when they know people are buying cards that they can't use, store mamager was supposed to call me and I got nothing not even to say sorry there is nothing we can do, I wasn't expecting my money back but at least a store credit since I had to give cash to the kids to replace the cards.
I had a vaccine scheduled a week in advance for my entire family and when I got there they had no vaccines available. However, their online booking notification never informed me or asked me to re-schedule -rather it sent a confirmation and a reminder the day before. After inquiring why the miscommunication the pharmacy assistant was quick to blame "head office". DO YOU NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS WHEN PEOPLE SCHEDULE VACCINES AT YOUR STORE? Galen Weston as head of Loblaws and Shoppers is responsible for many things, but this is not his fault. Take some responsibility call us in advance and apologize instead of wasting our time. Thanks!
Worst pharmacy ever!!!!!! Nothing but issues everytime, staff are so incompetent, never have the medication i request and try to constantly charge despite me having benefits cause their computers are always kicking my benefits card out of the system. I request prescription covered by ohip and they give brand name and try to charge everytime. Never have my order ready despite being called in days in advance, staff telling me i have no order when its right in front of their face. Never had so many issues consecutively with one place highly dissappointed and will be switching.
I have used this pharmacy and the store for years and have never had any issues. However, today I helped my father, who is a senior, pick up his prescription and pay for 3 extra items at the pharmacy counter. The pharmacy assistant gave my father the 3 prescriptions, scanned the 3 items, didn't even ask if he needed a bag, and when I asked for a bag, he basically just handed it without offering to bag the items. This pharmacy assistant is lacking training in customer service and should they keep providing this kind of service, they will start losing customers.
This store has only one cashier with 4 self checkouts at 4 pm. There was 7- 8 people in a line up when they called code 3 and the second cashier called to the front made people go to the self checkout if they had credit or debit. I was getting lottery tickets but it was not my fault there was only one cashier with 2 registers. A guy behind me got fed up after waiting 15 mins and went to the self checkout 20 seconds before I was finished. Pretty soon there will be no cashiers just robots. I took no pictures as I needed permission from the patrons.
It's a fine store with good sales and lots of product. However, it's been quite some time since I felt good upon leaving due to the checkout clerks. They don't seem interested in giving good service at all. I don't feel treated all that well and once I was at the self check out and overheard/saw an elderly lady who was slow being rushed and not treated that well. I continue to go here because it is my closest store and like I say....it has good sales. Was treated well at the pharmacy here today.
Dropped off my wife's prescription she got was discharged from the hospital at 3pm really needed her medicine one of the pharmacist took my priscription and said it will be 30 minutes till we get it ready I waited 50 minutes and no one called me when I went to the counter another pharmacist checked and said its ready when I asked her her how come no one called she said the pharmacist who took my prescription first is gone for the day. They need more responsible and caring staff at the pharmacy.
Horrible pharmaceutical service, having a sick child they don't make your life any easier, countless phone calls and wrong medications or even not being able to fill medications on time.. just sad I have my plate full and have to deal with the mess of them not ordering medication? They really need to get professionals working there clearly the people that are working now don't understand how to do their jobs or have compassion toward a child who is sick just sad...
Always a great experience at this shoppers. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Reading some of these other reviews kind of make me laugh. People think they know how things work within a company, when you have no idea what protocols or rules they have to follow. Try being a little more compassionate and understanding instead of an asshat because you didn't get the answer you wanted because of rules and regulations they have to follow.
I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this pharmacy. Between an instance of giving me the wrong prescription due to ignoring my doctor’s instructions for no substitution and making me call all over Hamilton to find out who has the correct medication in stock, I will not be using this location again. Transferring pharmacies took 2 hours and multiple visits to determine why my information was not sent over as well.
Worst checkout service! They're always in the back!!! Line 10-15 people deep one checkout! So I had to make a fuss and demand they get someone else to open a checkout! Low and behold they come out from behind some door! Shouldn't they be out in the store visible so the can see how busy it is! On a Sat 3 weeks before Christmas! All checkouts should be open!!!
May 21st 2023 2 young or somewhat young girls working front.. 1 didn't want to work so tried to force self checkout customer don't want to use self checkout so you go and talk smack about the person to the other cashier.. don't look down on the customer for you not wanting to do your job... if I could give zero star I would... very ignorant employee
Always make errors at checkout. Pay for extra stuff or waste time going back for couple bucks. No apology. Cashier talking to colleague while ringing through customers so can't focus on task. Errors made where optimum card not put through properly. Head office says no record. Out 20x pts. Not first time. Done with shoppers and optimum.
Called during covid to see if they delivered over the counter meds to manage symptoms I was having associated with covid(i didnt want to risk leaving the house). They advised me they had stopped such delivery due to covid and that I would have to come in to get them....even though I had symptoms of covid.
The kind, caring pharmacist changed me and my husband's life. Our health was very bad and he called our Doctor and specialist to discuss our medications and health care. He was able to work with our Doctor to arrange appointments and change our medications. We are now much better and happy. Our hero.

The pharmacy team needs to be more professional when dealing with patients. Writing this part after seeing the response of Customer Care. Responding to feedback is nice; however, without action to translate the care it has questionable value. Improvement takes actions not words.
I must shop here three times a week and never posted. I always go back to the store because my experience is always good it is a smaller store but the staff is helpful and answer any questions. Anyways keep up the great work happy to continue to shop at your store.
Automated Rx refill via phone hasn't worked properly for over 6 months. Staff always say it is being looked into. For over 6 months?? Come on! Considering taking my business elsewhere. Shoppers will reply with one of their stock replies which means nothing.
The staff at the cosmetics counter are absolutely fabulous! They all know the products very well and are able to help you pick the best skin care for your skin type and needs. Even when you have a budget! Thanks ladies and keep up the great service!
I may never go here again and I usually shop here a lot. They sold me a faulty gift card and instead of making it right just gave me a 1-800 number to call. This is unacceptable. Their mistake is now a big problem for me to solve.
They are selling bunch of expired meds, please don’t go there. I trashed the receipt and then i found that my prescription is expired. When i went back there, they refused to take it back. I don’t know how to complain about them
This has turned into my go to place since it's so close to home during the pandemic. The Post Office being in the building as well gives me access for mailing it my package without much hassle. Mostly friendly staff.
Pharmacist is rude and disrespectful… continuously telling me to sit down … I just had a procedure where I can’t physically sit down and I explained this to him … horrible pharmacist.. do not recommend!!!!
Always a long line and never enough cashiers. You think having self checkout would help but they’re always out of service. And if you need assistance at a self checkout you might as well just leave.
Pharmacy is great- never any issues. Always kind on the phones and very helpful. Wish I switched over to them sooner. Store is good for groceries too! Lots of sales on essential items.
I moved to Sudbury recently and this Shoppers was able to get the prescription I required transferred to their store and filled it all in a day! Great job and great customer service!
