Signature Exteriors completed a $20k plus roof replacement at my property a few years ago (paid through an insurance claim). When I noticed that the roof was leaking by one of the dormers, I called Signature Exteriors for a warranty request. They came out to inspect the roof and told me specifically that while they did replace the roof, they only replaced the asphalt shingles, not the metal roofing on the dormers, so this is my responsibility. I looked back at my paperwork and sure enough, replacing the metal roofing on the dormers was part of the scope of work that they were reimbursed for. Then, I had a different roofing contractor inspect the roof. I gave them a copy of the roof replacement paperwork and they found a handful of items from the original scope of work that Signature Exteriors didn't complete (replacing step flashing around the chimney, flashing around skylights, replacing an attic fan, replacing storm collar on furnace vent, etc.) See photo attached. Flashing around chimney clearly was not replaced. Asphalt shingles look great, but how does a reputable contractor replace a roof and not replace flashing!? I tried calling Signature Exteriors back to get them back out to the property to fix what they should have done the first time (and were paid for), but the owner has gone radio silent. Unfortunately, this is not the kind of service that anyone should have to deal with. I am left with reporting this to the BBB and will have to pursue litigation. Even though the contractor did not perform work for me personally (but instead for the prior owner of the property) the fact that the business owner has blatantly ignored me and not returned my calls, depicts a company that does not care, doesn't stand behind their work, and does not do the right thing. Separate complaint also filed with the BBB. UPDATE as of June 2019: I had to get the metal roofing on the dormers replaced by another contractor because the leaks got really bad, especially when the rain would pour. When the metal roofing was removed, we discovered that Signature Exteriors did not put down any ice and water shield. In fact, they just left the original felt paper from 30 years ago. On top of that, the metal roofing was installed incorrectly (the metal should have run underneath the asphalt shingles at the top of the dormer). Signature Exteriors cut the metal roofing short and just used a bunch of silicone. No wonder the metal roofing had leaks within a couple years. I would not trust this contractor for a roofing job, most especially if metal roofing is involved.

Ditto on all the positive reviews...everyone of them. I researched local roofing contractors to perform an inspection of my roof. I contacted SE based upon their 4.9/5 nps. My experience mirrors the other positive reviews. A certain fast food restaurant with a "chicken sandwich claim to fame" are known for their food and the "My pleasure" they dole out freely and genuinely to their customers. SE operates in the same fashion. I know they have many clients and are very busy...but I always felt like a priority. They went over and beyond without me asking. Their level of communication, professionalism, transparency and accountability are unmatched. I loved their commitment to doing work the right way, with no upselling and no shortcuts. For a minute I started to wonder if Michael and I were married because he and his team steered me away from extras at my expense that he felt were not necessary. He just was not going to let me spend unnecessary money out of pocket. There was not one bit of upselling by Michael (the owner) nor his team. And I must add that I had an insurance adjuster that was not at all "like a good neighbor". Nonetheless, my project manager, John, conducted a master class in diplomacy, persuasion, how to neutralize tension and control the conversation to make significant progress to the primary goal, complete insurance coverage of the roof replacement. Throughout my project the SE team (Michael, John, Isaac and Jennifer) consistently demonstrated skill, promptness, courteousness, transparency, thoroughness, patience, diligence, modern technology, accuracy, professionalism, and most importantly, integrity. If you were to ask me if I would use them again or recommend them to anyone, I cannot help but repeat words spoken in one of the final scenes of the movie Black Panther by the general, Akoye...that is to say, "Without question!" One more thing...open a hospital, restaurant, car dealership...pretty please!?!? They all could learn from a team like yours.

I highly recommend Signature Exteriors. I found a leak in my roof and had never dealt with that issue before. I saw that Signature Exteriors had the best reviews of any other roofing company in the Charlotte area and that was for good reason. The whole team is phenomenal. I spoke to Michael and he was at my house the following day conducting an inspection of my roof, gutters, and downspouts. He showed me everything with pictures and drone footage along with giving a thorough explanation of the issues and solutions. Michael and John were very quick to set up a call with my insurance company and get a meeting with the insurance adjuster a couple of days later. John was extremely helpful in getting everything arranged from the insurance part, to a date to get the work done. Isaac and Jennifer led the crews at my house and both were awesome to work with. They arrived early in the morning and got all the work done in one day. They went above and beyond cleaning up, putting back and outdoor furniture, etc. Jennifer even rehung some outdoor lights, which was extremely nice of her to do. Isaac was out at my house the next morning cleaning up any remaining residue/scraps, and making sure I was satisfied with all the work. My neighbor was so impressed with their work that he asked me for their contact info. Thank you to the entire Signature Exteriors team. When I found the leak in my attic I thought this was going to be a long, painful process, but every one of you made it so easy for me and my wife. I will use you again in the future and refer to anyone I know.

Michael Garrie and the entire Signature Exteriors team were a pleasure to work with. I was actually getting a few quotes for a new roof, gutters and gutter guards. I was a little embarrassed that the 1st quote’s presentation went long (I think the sales guy was new). Michael went ahead and got started with his inspection, then said you’ll get a good roof with the other company, but here’s my pitch - and it was quick, concise and to the point….not to mention I was more than a little impressed that the owner came out for an inspection (and that his prices were lower). He went through their procedure answered all of my questions more like a trusted acquaintance than a sales guy. There was no pressure and I felt very comfortable with Michael. Once we got started, Signature Exteriors stepped up their game. John Hannaway took over my repair and walked me through the entire process, dealt with the insurance inspectors and was with me on any call that I had to have with the insurance company. They were also able to guide me to get the most from my insurance claim as possible…after all, why do we pay all those premiums if we’re not going to use it to the max. All in all, we’ve had an amazing experience with Signature Exteriors. We felt taken care of every step of the way…and got a beautiful, long lasting roof to boot! After having a major flood in my kitchen, I reached out to several contractors to review and provide a quote. The standout was Signature Exteriors. Michael came out and reviewed the roof and provided me good feedback on what he saw and suggested, but the key thing he did different from the others was resolve my problem on the first visit, without replacing the roof. He said it appeared based on the location of the incoming water and the recent weather that there was a problem with the sealant on the flashing. He went ahead and re-caulked the area he thought was the problem in a few minutes. He said next time it rains, let him know if it floods, and better yet, get a hose and spray the area the next day and see if it floods. So far with all the rain the past few weeks, no flood in the kitchen, so safe to say I think he nailed the problem and solution without having to rip and replace the roof. So even though I am due for a roof replacement in next few years, this gives me a little breathing room and peace of mind that Michael knows his stuff and when Im ready I can call upon them to do the work. Michael was very accommodating and put no pressure to replace the roof, and even followed up with me a few later to check in. I appreciate that kind of follow-through. Thank you!

Just had Nick from Signature Exteriors come out to inspect our roof and help us with an estimate. He was punctual, super friendly, and extremely thorough. He was detailed about what we need to do, and took measurements and pictures that helped me (a total roof novice) understand the roofing process better. I’m extremely impressed. Update: we decided to use Signature Exteriors for our roof replacement, and we also had them replace our gutters. They were so thorough, fast and professional. Our roof was done in the quoted time period, and every little scrap and nail was cleaned up. They showed us drone pictures of the completed work. They are night and day different in the best way from our experiences with other roofers. They don’t just do the work; they show you exactly what they did and stand behind their work. Just this week we decided to have Signature Exteriors add a gutter guard to our house. Matt, who came out and did the work, was AWESOME. He even worked around our kids’ nap schedule. Amazing company! Inspected roof damage by walk on and drone photography. Signature Exteriors found numerous items for upgrade and repair, including gutter replacement, that the insurance adjuster had missed. All of Signature’s Exteriors’ additional submissions to insurance were promptly approved. Completed old roof removal and new roof installation in one day. Their clean up was thorough and efficient. Have not found a single nail or piece of tarpaper since clean up was completed. Gutter replacement was completed in a few hours, also with excellent clean up. On site staff were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and hard-working. 0ffice staff stayed in close communication through my preferred medium, phone, email and text. The only surprise was when the company replaced my attic fan free of charge. The company’s owner, Michael Garrie, stayed in contact with me throughout the entire job. Signature Exteriors is an excellent company. If you need any roof work done on your home, this company has my highest recommendation!

I had a few companies come out to do an estimate for my roof, and Signature Exteriors definitely stood out. Michael, the owner, came out to do the estimate himself. He was very professional, knowledgeable, & straightforward as he laid out what problems he found and what he would do to fix everything. Ultimately it was his confidence and comfortable vibe that led me to go with his company. As the day of the work approached, John was in contact letting me know everything to expect and how to prepare. The crew arrived very early to get started. The on-site manager, Brandon, was a pleasure to deal with. He shared the same confidence and familiarity as Michael, and he was always in contact with me to accommodate my family through the duration of the construction. My roof replacement with the team at Signature Exteriors was great. They were quick to schedule an inspection of my roof since there were upcoming storms in Charlotte, and we had a very active roof leak. Isaac, the roof inspector, was thorough and very helpful. In addition, they have drones to help take pictures of the roof that are hard to access (we have very steep slope sections on the rear side of our house). My interactions with the team at Signature Exteriors were all positive. I never felt like I was being pressured into something extra. Their staff keeps their clients informed on arrival times, work completion, and just general status updates. I have worked with other roofing contractors in Charlotte, and I can tell you Signature Exteriors is the best. My new roof looks great, and I haven't found a single nail or piece of trash in my yard after their work. Mike and his crew did a top-notch job installing my new roof. 4,000 sq ft colonial home in Mooresville, 39 square of Certainteed shingles, and they stripped, prepped, installed, and did the final clean-up all in one day! The guys on the crew are super friendly and very hard working. An assigned project manager kept me updated throughout the day and made sure everything was done efficiently. What I really appreciated most was communicating with John during the quote process. He is very responsive, quick to email and text, and came to my home several times to deliver shingle roof material samples. I also appreciated the thorough clean-up afterward. What a difference a new roof makes using modern architectural shingles. I had four different roofing contractors quote the job, but John gave me the best feeling and was excellent at answering all our questions. Highly recommend Signature Exteriors!

I had an outstanding experience with Signature! I hired them to replace my 2000 sqft. roof and they finished the job in one day. All around great experience. I had a roof insurance claim for my house and garage roof since they had storm damage. Signature Exteriors roofing didn't simply put back as it was. Mike made sure everything was done right. Wood decking replacement, ice and water shield all around, relocating and installing new roof ventilation, low slope roll roofing on the porch, AND a new skylight installation. Their workmanship is excellent. The color combinations between the shingles, the roofing accessories, and the flashings all look great. I didn't have to do any extra paperwork or deal with negotiating my roof claim with my insurance company. Signature Exteriors handled it very well, which was probably the best part.

Probably the best contracting firm I’ve ever worked with. I had a leak from my roof into the kitchen, but a very thorough inspection by Signature showed extensive storm damage in other areas of the roof as well. They provided extensive photos of the damage, were able to write up a detailed damage report, and then corresponded directly with me and my insurance company every step of the way. From beginning to end, Signature was one of the most professional companies I’ve ever dealt with. It started with a very thorough initial inspection and explanation of the insurance submission process, and ended with an excellent roof installation by a very professional crew. They did an exceptional job on our roof replacement. I grew up roofing houses in the summers through college, so I had a lot of specific demands about our shingling and gutters. They worked with me, stayed organized, and completed everything correctly! They took care of the entire insurance claims process, making everything very simple. 45 squares of shingle were done in a day, and the cleanup was immaculate. A month later, I’ve only found 1 nail - and it was deeply nestled in our bushes. I would’ve thought that was basically impossible. Excellent customer service, flawless execution, and an overall excellent experience!

I used Signature Exteriors for a project that included asphalt roof replacement, copper roof replacement, gutter replacement, cricket installation, and siding water damage repair. The project was partially on insurance. Overall my experience with them was excellent. They were professional across the board and just generally low hassle. They communicated well, handled the insurance process well in its entirety(I only wrote one email), gave advance notice when anyone was working, completed the job very quickly, and did quality work. Additionally they completed the the follow up requests I had within a couple days.

The people working at Signature Exteriors are amazing! From managers to site managers to working crews, all professional and punctuate! The entire roof installation took only a day with a little bit of finishing up which they complete by the middle of the day the next day. They kept me in the loop during the entire process when weather forced them to make changes to the original scheduled day for installation. The installation was done nicely and they cleaned up afterward. My driveway is cleaner now than before they started! Overall with satisfied with this company and highly recommend!

We contacted Signature Exteriors due to a roof leak. They came out, examined the interior and the roof exterior, with video. They showed me the video, in which they identified multiple problem areas but also clearly identified the source of the leak. As the leak was minor, they indicated that they do not do this type of work - but here’s the best part: they had a recommendation of someone that they have previously worked with that DOES do this type of repair work. Even though they didn’t do the repair job, they committed the time to examine the roof and provided guidance and solutions.

Michael and John worked closely with my insurance company to ensure that I was being appropriately reimbursed for all of the relevant damage. The replacement and repairs were completed in a timely and professional manner with no evidence of trash or debris during or after the project. Signature Exteriors did a great job replacing my roof in December 2022. They managed dealing with my insurance company and delivered on time with the highest quality. They also responded to an urgent need when a large tree branch fell on our house last night just 8 months after our new roof was installed. They came out first thing in the morning, patched the roof and even removed the tree branch. Given their busy schedule this was above and beyond! I would highly recommend them and will only use them for any roofing needs in the future.

I had Signature Exteriors come out just to get an estimate for minor roof repair originally. The inspection was very thorough (pictures, video walkthrough) and the individual sent out for the inspection went through all the options and ways to resolve the issue. They recommended opening a claim through insurance and guided me through the process. I ended up getting a new roof through an insurance claim and Signature Exteriors was there the entire time to make the process smooth. I would highly recommend Signature Exteriors.

I highly recommend Signature Exteriors for all your roofing needs! I had quite a bit of hail damage on my home that I was completely unaware of until they reviewed their inspection findings with me. Signature Exteriors assisted me with filing a claim through my insurance carrier. They kept me up to date on every little thing that was going on and were able to get my roof approved for a total replacement through insurance. They completed the replacement within a day, and I am highly impressed with the finished product!!

Put out fresh donuts and coffee for the crew at 730 am in 25 degree temps ...They replaced a 15 yr old , builder installed roof . 3800 sq ft house in 8 hrs! Removed the old Turtle vents , 2 power vents , fresh plywood , new ridge vents , valley barriers , Synthetic Felt. 950 homes in our HOA and will recommend them all day long .. I'd be hard pressed to even find a leftover Nail ! Thanks for the Outstanding experience .

Signature Exteriors may be the BEST experience I've had by any contractor in my entire life. Since the damage to the roof was caused by wind, it fell under my insurance. I don't like negotiating with insurance companies, so I asked Michael and his team to work directly with USAA to help me fix my roof. The results were seamless because he knew the trade so well. Best gutter installation I have ever seen. Most gutter companies seem like they just throw gutters up as fast as possible and don't care how they look. Signature Exteriors does the best work; they even send a different technician out to check for quality and make sure we are happy with the final product. I would definitely recommend using them for gutters or roof work.

Nick was straightforward to work with, and John helped as we worked through paperwork with the insurance company since it was approved because of hail damage. He came and explained the process and showed several color samples that they could install. When the work started, their workers were very professional, and the job was superb.
