"Went yesterday as day visitors"
We were a Church group and were harassed by the security personnel for bringing in 2 bottles of Red wine and we explained that we are not hooligans but elderly grown ups .the wine was foe our Communion as per the norm with the Anglican Church if SA.we pleaded even when our Priest a respected Senior Official in the SAPS tried to explain , but all in vain. Our Priest was threatened with a warning of being chased with the congregation by Law Enforced Officers by the time we started our service and supplementing wine and wafers with bread rolls and water.our spirits were already badly affected spiritually. We appealed to God to fight our cause as Black People .
Well priced. Tidal pool is nice. Camp grounds are basic but well maintained by Neville and his crew. The chalets have been upgraded and I will definitely be test driving them at my next visit. Network and internet coverage is weak and spotty at best at the plots but better at the gate office. Brian the manager is friendly and approachable. They enforce the rules regarding for example noise well with plenty visible policing. Keep it up Brian, Neville and the crew. Maybe a swimming pool and additional amenities for kids could be contemplated.
Good day i dont have a problem with the place or the picnic area. i however have a big problem with the bookings office you email and call the contact number after making a booking then no one answers the phone and they dont reply to emails to me this is very unproffesional.why do you have this number and email adres if you ignore your phone when it rings.and the website shows its full but its not full the booking office wants to book people that they want to book.
Picnic area
Very nice...family friendly
Beach is nice and clean and is kept clean throughout the day by very diligent staff. Also very safe with metro police visible and patrolling the whole day. Lots of designated braai areas and beautiful green grass. There are jungle gyms for the kids to play on as well as a few canopies to sit under with tables. There are camping sites and chalets on the one side and a side for day visitors. And best of all it has a tidal pool. Really nice beach to visit.
Went yesterday as day visitors. Lovely place for the whole family. Place to picnic, to braai (table and benches with shade) and to camp. Play equipment for children. Tidal pool awesome. Very clean. I am in a wheelchair and although there is parts where can go it's not altogether wheelchair friendly. Can't get close enough to the pool nor the beach. Toilets are quite a distance to walk depending where you are. Overall very pleasant. Well worth going to.
Terrible experience for my first time people karoake till 3 in the morning drinking and loud noise the whole night they say no alcohol but people had alcohol security doesn't even check during the night music was playing loud on plots 42,62 and 82 and this was for the long weekend of 18 to the 21st March security is quick to come and tell you what time to vacate the premises but they could not be quick to make the people quiet or do their job
I was invited to join a camping trip here. Nice enough grounds. Our campsite is surrounded by shade cloth. Cannot see the beach or waves. I understand its for the wind but that's what comes with camping, wind rain sun & the crawlies. All part of the parcel. If your looking for a view you need to leave the camp area to go find it. So not impressed, will pass on this place next time
Whilst the resort for day visitors are free theres relatively nothing else rlexcept a patch of grass next to the beach. I suppose visitors come for different reasons but for me it was a no no. The atmosphere was great. No alcohol is allowed which is most helpful and the law enforcment team is very friendly. But in the final analysis all you got was a patch of grass on the beach.
Besides for the showers that nobody enjoyed,as it went off after ever 20 seconds while still in the shower, the rest of the place was pretty awesome.. Play park kept the kids entertained and the guys could also take some time of to go fishing. Admin amd security at the entrance was alao very accommodating and friendly.
I really enjoyed my time at the silverstream campsites. The facilities are great and it is well priced. Situated on the beach, you couldn't ask for a better location. It's also a great venue to hire out for a music festival. I can definitely recommend this campsite it's also only 40 minutes out of Cape Town
Silverstroomstrand camp site is the best value for money for camping during the week. It is close to home (from anywhere in Peninsula), safe, long beeches for walking, safe, well maintained and very reasonable. The scenery is striking. For pensioners looking for a quiet camp close to home, it is ideal.
Attended Clubbers Campout 2019 here and it was quite comfortable in that the camping plots are quite large and great for setting up tents. There are also power supplies are each plot and ours had a tap too (water). The ablution facilities needs some work but not too bad. Quick walk to the beach.
Uhmmm. People were drinking on the pavilion even though the security checked everyone's boots for alcohol. I can just wonder how the alcohol fell through the cracks lol. I mean they checked my boot so thorough that is was strange that there were such a lot of people openly drinking on the beach.
This place is awesome. Well equipped and organized. We were there for endless daze festival and was a great experience. Food and supplies are very good. Facilities were clean and fair enough for camping areas. Had a very good experience there. Great job!!!!!!.......✌✌✌ …
My first time to Silwerstroom what a well maintained facility had an awesome time with my family will definitely be doing it again very soon great views and pristine beaches, the tidal pool is also an added plus for the kids.

Love this place went twice with seniors and the staff was very helpful. Mr Ismail always popped around to see if everything was ok especially to the seniors. I wish to thank him for that. Also with HIP School had an enjoyable time. Again thank you.
If you don't like the warm waters of the Indian Ocean than this is the place to go. It's on the Atlantic seabord, so the waters are cold. The place is clean and well maintained with clean ablusion facilities.
This is a very safe, convenient and clean beach. Good for camping as well as day camping or picnics. Toilets are clean. Daily Law enforcement patrol. Pool for kids. Super child friendly. Love this beach.
Great camping facilities and a wonderful beach. Swimming at low tide is safe for strong swimmers because the rip tides can be strong. Otherwise hit the tidal pool at high tide for a fresh dip.
What an awesome experience. Clean, following covid protocols, friendly and helpful staff and 24/7 Security on site. Facilities are in a good condition and overall experience was great.
What am amazing time braai spots close to the beach play park and great outdoor, ablution facilities neat beatitudes benches and shaded areas. A must visit an upgrade of what it was.
Had my first experience camping at this place for the weekend and it was amazing definitely going back .It's so clean and staff are so friendly and security always around and helpful
Loved the fact it's a Blue Flagged beach. Very safe now with SAPS and Law Enforcement visible.
Restrooms
Beautiful and clean.
Picnic area
Grass was long had to be cut.
Was not allowed to see the place, had a bottle of wine we bought to take home to the Freestate. Not nice for the any one doing site seeing doing site seeing this side of the coastal
Tidal pool is really great especially if you have little kids who love the water but are afraid of waves. And the view is awesome too. Has Braai spots, lawn and parks for the kids.
Silwerstroom RESORT is a ongoing process of bettering the resort for visiting people be it camping or day visitors we strive to make the visitors feel welcomed when they visit
Open area to picnic or braai at with a tidal pool day, seating and ablution. Visitor area is free of charge. Vehicles are searched for liquor and peta as neither are allowed.
Actually very nice here, after the upgrades and security patroling.. difficult to book spots as they never answer the phones but its well maintaned .. pets not allowed though
Awesome place at the sea; braai, picnic, fun in the sun, blue flag beach-with all the required facilities. the only downside=parking is far from the picnic and brai spots
Well maintained for a public space. Clean and safe beach. Ideal for a beach day outside cape town. Take needed amenities with as there isn't any shops close by.
Loved it. Beach is clean and well taken care of. It is a no-alcohol and this rule is perfectly enforced. Nice braai facilities and green grass in picnic areas
Ran a cross country at Silwerstroom. Lovely picturesque area. Plenty of parking, clean toilets, beautiful views. Perfect place to host a cross country race!!
Very well maintained, relatively friendly staff and a beautiful spot to spend the day or have a picnic. Conveniently located just 45 minutes from Cape Town.
Nice place to hang out at and have awesome family times...always neat and clean...amazing views and the water is fantastic ... definitely a 9/10 …
Had a run in with some rather rude and inconsiderate people. Staff was very friendly. Loved the location. Beach was so clean and water soooo lovely.
Beautiful place. Spacious and well maintained. We enjoyed a fantastic family day there. I will gladly recommend this place to anybody.
I went for a day visit and the children enjoyed it. One of the safest, clean and well looked after beach in the City of Cape Town.
Loved it. Went an had a look after 20 years and it's as beautiful and quiet. Just the right place to getaway and clear your head
I was very surprised to see the beautiful upgrading of this place. Haven't been there in 30 years. Free entry for day visitors
Extremely disappointing. Ablution facilities not maintained. Loud music all night and reveling by other campers. Never again.
It will unfortunately only open under level. When that is heaven knows. However this is a fantastic space on the West Coast
Amazing ocean views from the benches surrounded by beautiful green grass. Peaceful atmosphere, life guards present as well.
Does anyone have an email or contactable number for them? All the numbers listed are either non existent or not answered.
Very nice place. Chalets very clean seating in dining room can just b upgraded a little but overall a very nice place
Great place, this is my 3rd year now visiting this place. Nice see view and caravan camping spots with electricity.
Beautiful place on the West coast. Clean beach. Facilities clean.will go thete any time again. Recommend a visit.
Resort nice and clean. Spacious and loads of areas to set up a Gazebo for the day.
Restrooms

This place is beautiful! I'll definitely come back for a braai and just to enjoy the well maintained open space.
Clean and beautiful. Nice environment with beautiful beaches. Save and secure. No pets aloud. No alcohol aloud.
Very much spaces and green grass with electricity..if only the camping sites could have build in pools …
The water is great and the strand is very neat. The ablutions are beautiful and clean and it seem to be safe
Awesome place good place to relax and kick back..it's ice cold water beach so just be aware before going
Really clean and well controlled. Appreciated the boot and car check for alcohol as well as the patrols.
Visited the day camp. So awesome. Bathrooms are spotless. Loved the tidal pool. Can't wait to go back.
The way everything is plotted and built its just amazing there is a tidal pool too and a camping site
Beautiful location, hard- working and friendly staff. Bathrooms and showers could get more attention.
Very lovely... But opening at 10:00 is such a waste of a good morning. Nice for the family though
Very nice and safe for our children.law enforcement are present thanx to our blaawberg council
Well secured and safety invironment with city police available... Toilets nice and clean also
Definitely a must try for camping or stay in one of 6 chalets. Awesome tidal pool and beach.
Quite a fun place to visit, right at the beach. safe and secure. Had a wonderful experience.
Beautiful beach. Clean toilets. Expensive shop. Great place for a summer day at the beach.
My friends and I hired a plot for the weekend. It was amazing. But we knew what to expect.
Awesome affordable camping sites. clean and staff friendly. Always have visible security.
Because of the security, cleanliness, braai spots, play area for the kids and veiw
Nice clean toilets and the tidal pool makes it safer for kids to play in the water
Amazing, quiet and peaceful outing with great play area for kids. And it is free.
Trying to get hold of this place, it has been 2 days no one answers the phone
The resort is so peaceful and the restrooms are kept cleab throughout the day
Beautiful and so clean... Loved spending time there with my loved ones
Love the chalets. Clean and lovely affordable and strict security
Book well in advance. The park was empty and they showed is away.
