The resort is situated along the False Bay Coast famous for it's sharks. It is situated a few kilometres from Ocean View a coloured community.. There are day camping and tent camping facilities. One has to book a spot for the tent camping well in advance. I am not sure, but I think the tent camping needs to be booked at the Muizenberg Civic. The day camping is R15 per adult and R7 per child 12 and younger., but if you are a group of 30/more the adults pay R7. The place is very clean and neat. It has a tidal pool as well as braai areas. Sufficient ablution facilities which is kept clean. There was always a sufficient supply of toilet paper as well as hand sanitizer at the entrance. The view over the ocean was spectacular and most beautiful looking over the vast ocean.
Huge resort with different areas for camping and picnics. Beautiful nature. Beautiful coastline. Picnic area was used by noisy campers. Other area was used by families, with no music out of cars. Security was always walking around. The police did three drive troughs in one day. I hope it was just because they was bored. Clean ablutions with hot water. Reception was perfect. Some ground cover thorns are spreading in the camping area. I saw three broken pieces of glass. Not a problem, but there was rude graffiti on the walls. Great place for the week, great on a non-busy week. I will not stay here over holidays.
My parents and children are currently camping at oystercatcher, caravan park. They arrived late Monday afternoon and their plot was still very dirty. They went to shower the evening and was told by a fellow camper that the warm water has been off since before Christmas. This is my parents last camp, what a disappointment The plot itself makes the caravan sink into hole's. There's no amenities for kids, not even a park. You must walk very far to the tidal pool. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

There is no playground
Awesome place to visit if you're able to get there on a day without wind. It's an excellent spot to go surfing and the birdlife is also great. The facilities are well looked after and the area is cleaned regularly. The area was great for relaxing and having a nice braai. I would recommend going as early as possible before the class. Cape Town wind picks up.
What a very nice resort to take the family and enjoy the day at the beach. There is a tidal pool and nice clean toilets. The braai areas and facilities is just beautiful. The scenic views are simply breathtaking. Its a real fantastic venue to escape to and have fun.
Beautiful scenery. Facilities are cleaned and well maintained, workers are extremely friendly. Bathrooms are cleaned hourly Opens at 08h00 and gates closes at 16h00 but you are allowed to stay until 18h00 if you are inside the premises already.
Stunning location and fabulous education centre! We visited for a day of lectures outside the confines of a lecture theatre. I would definitely recommend the education centre to anyone looking for a scenic, comfortable and affordable venue.
Nice place with tidal pool. For camping or day visit there is an entry fee. Plenty of public toilets available. Braai area available with table and chairs and lapa type cover. Far from shops. They are strict with alcohol usage.
We camped with our motorhome, meters from the beach. Stunning views and loads of sea birds. we had an unobstructed view. It was during the week. Quiet and piecefull only the sound of the waves. Ablutions were lovely
There is an entrance fee but they only take cash, they don't tell you this on their website. There's is no ATM near by, and they closed the gate as soon as we reversed. Very bad. Staff uniformed and useless
They apparently only take cash (I think they're lying), it's not stated on the website and there is no atm near by. They even closed the gate when we started reversing.
What a lovely camp site clean and well kept Security on point does rounds day and night I will definitely be back Thank you Soetwater and Team u guys are great
Really awesome venue. Off the beaten track. Great for functions. Got a dorm room, kitchen hall, bar, piano, and projector. Close to the beach and peaceful.
Love this place , been going there since I was a kid , been nicely revamped , not too full , ample parking and good fishing ( for my daughter at least :) )
Had our family reunion here on 06/03/2022.Was super amazing. Place where the family use 2 camp from childhood. Security very good also
Since the last two I was at soetwater,am very impressed with wot it looks like now was there for a day outing and it was great.
Roads are surely in need of attention - along with the rest of Cape Town, although not nearly as bad as other provinces.
It a very lovely place can go surfing by the sea and both mountain and sea view is amazing.
Great for. A day visit or a camp. Place looks. Good. Revamped
