We were staying here for 2 weeks, Beginning February 2022 Thank you for management and staff there for their excellent support, conditions and services, very nice. But unfortunately I can't say it from Denise the Lady where we went and pay, Could only book for 7days and had to come back to pay For another 7 days. First 7 days we pay R1367 then we got pensioners discount and pay R965., When we discussed it with her Mrs attitude I must email all my receipt to her and she will sort it out well until today nearly 1 1/2month later after numerous emails no satisfaction or even a reply, Then we also sit at her desk 1 1/2 hours just to do a booking and get a invoice, then we went to checkers to pay nearly take your whole morning just to do that, this is not on, I am still waiting and not a satisfy customer due to her attitude and time consuming you would lost campers to camp there, We want to thank the Zandvlei staff at the campsite for their professional service and manners they had. The ablution blocks were in good excellent order all the time.
We wanted to find the good in this campground, but sadly we did not have the best experience. Upon arrival we were told we could not check in at the gate, but instead we had to go to the civic center, where we had to fill in forms for about an hour to register, go pay for the camping at the nearby Checkers, and return to the civic center which closes at 3pm. We only wanted to camp one night. What they fail to mention until you get to the civic center is that there is a 2 night minimum here for camping. When we finally had paid and arrived into the campground we found that the pool was closed. The ablutions are very basic, but they are clean. There are no picnic tables anywhere or seating areas. Just campsites, ablutions and outdoor sinks. On the plus side the views are great and the location is close to the beach. Ultimately we would not choose this campground again had we have known the lengthy process, lack of facilities, and 2 night minimum.
I will never suggest this place to anyone. If I could give it a 0 star rating I would.i have seen and been lots of places in and out of cape town but never experienced what I did here.....I wish I could go into detail but would be like reading a novel. I felt targeted as we were a lot of people with 6 plots and one chalet. Not sure if it was the fact that we from Mitchell's plain that we had to show all our forms when we booked in and again the Saturday.....I don't even think they do head counts in prison but we had to go through that.....the Sunday morning as we waiting for our transport to arrive they came and basically put us out....and there is many more incidents that I could mention....we went there for a chilled and relaxing weekend but only ended up stressful and could wait to leave .NEVER EVER AGAIN!
The worst campsite in all of Cape Town. I don't put 0 stars because I can't. They make reservations when it suits them, they never answer the phone, there are times when they let you sleep only one night and other times they force you to spend at least two nights in a row, all depending on what it seems to the woman who takes care of the reservations. Horrible management, horrible staff.
A great local getaway. We tented out of season and essentially had an entire lane to our self. The security was on point, both at the gate and with regular patrols. The ablution and kitchen/scullery facilities were sufficient and clean. Our only gripe was not having the correct adaptor for the electricity point on our stand. Looking forward to booking the chalets available.
Don't know how this place is functioning. Spoke to staff at the gate which was unhelpful with regarding booking at the place. City of Cape town office unhelpful as well. Numbers they gave to call nobody answers. Is this the city of cape town working for us or the staff not giving a dam of the people.
If i could i would come here everyday. It's such a relaxing place to just sit and read or play with the kids if you have any. And it's very well looked after so you don't have to worry about litter laying around or anyone disturbing you if you want some privacy.
The services was very poor.We booked a 4sleeper when we got there it was a one sleeper the fridges did not work , they advertise things on there page and then its nothing like it when you get there And why must our visitors pay a fee of R20 to visit
Family fun at Zandvlei, it was abit windy , more trees will negate the wind at this place. The amenities also needs some more TLC especially if you pay to enter. But all in all a nice family place with plenty of space for kids to play.
The staff flatly refused to allow me to view the park. Why would anyone stay in a park that they won't even allow you to look at? I will never even consider going there.
Very noisy over weekends, had to clean up own site when we arrived.Too many day visitors that mess up this caravan park and ablution facilities. Would not recommend!
Its ok just remember time when visiting this place should be rite ..could get very windy in open spaces .Security visable including police .very nice place .
The day camping area has great potential but is sadly extremely neglected. Toilets are closed down and replaced with portable toilets. Entry fee is R16.00 .
Very neat and tidy...showers was hot and bathrooms always clean...staff very friendly and security on point. went camping and will definitely be back again
Stayed for weekend, no hot water. Complained twice, nothing was done. Not allowed to leave or come in after 10pm. No load noises after 6pm …
Very unfriendly to guests from outside of africa. They didnt took us with no reason. Definatly i do not recommend this caravan park.
We went to picnic there. Play park for children. Clean Toilets. Beautiful scenery. Had a fantastic time with family and friends
The place was extremely clean. Showers were hot, and located close to muizenburg Beach. The camp sites are neat and scenic.
Great place for family camp, can listen to your music, nice for kids with bicycles and toilets are very clean
Nice clean with security and the prices are cheap take ur rates paper with when making a booking
Not nice no place for kids no activities no swimming pool I don't recommend any one
Cool place a good to chill with family and friends However, it's poorly maintained
Great place especially have a big family that consist of lots of small kids
Fertilities needs to be improved and needs to be made more child friendly
Only problem is parking too far to walk to braaispots on day camp side
