Called this place to book an appointment a while back with the owner. She knows a couple of my family members and she always personally does their hair because we are all very specific about our curly hair and how its cut. Spoke to her directly on the phone since i asked for her, she said she would take me at whatever time i cant remember because it was so long ago. When i came for my appointment i had to wait a hell of a while. When i finally got to sit down I couldnt understand what the workers were saying (in another language) but after some laughter, some random lady (which i didnt know at the time) ended up cutting my hair instead of the owner who i made a direct appointment with. I wasnt sure what was going on until my mom came to pick me up and said it wasnt the owner.. On a side note the lady who did cut it, didnt do it to my liking whatsoever, she hurt my neck while washing it, and she rushed it. My sister was one of the people who had the owner specifically cut her hair and lately she ALSO said she had some bad experiences where the owner will be cutting her hair and walk away mid process (multiple times too) & to tend to other people. Thats unorganized and unproffesional in my opinion, considering we always book beforehand so... wont be going back.

I had an amazing experience with Jeff and Rachel. I was looking for just a quick trim and a consultation on what I could do with my hair colour, and after a few hours they had done an amazing job and it looked great! Jeff is extremely professional, and Rachel is very sweet. The salon is clean and has an amazing atmosphere as well, with 2 couches near the entrance you can sit on while you wait, and the back has adjustable chairs with sinks you lay back on to get your hair washed which are very comfortable. I felt completely relaxed at all times and they were very considerate and offered water as needed. My appointment was booked for a time that wasn't too busy, so that may factor into how much attention I was given (which was a lot, I felt very pampered imo) but I definitely suggest you visit anytime, and if you can you should ask for a wash and styling if nothing else. From what I remember, I was told Rachel does everything but cuts, but they are both extremely conscientious and do their job well and if possible will assist each other as they work on clients. Highly recommend Sky Hair and will definitely be going again in the future!

I came here yesterday to correct something not done two weeks ago by the same hairdresser (Klara I think). No fade in the back. It was now jutting out. I just wanted the back to match the faded sides (current). But for whatever reason she went to town with the back and then used the clippers nero skin for the sides. I didn't tell her to touch the sides. I just told her to make the back look like the faded sides. Worse, she trimmed some of my hair on top. If you put your hands to your cheek bones and slide up, hair would be there touching your fingertips. But now, you have to tilt your hands inward and that is my new side top hairline. I wouldn't say that she "butchered" my hair. But it will take months to grow back. I won't say that she doesn't know how to cut men's hair. It's just that she doesn't listen to the customer and has her own idea of what looks good in her mind. Spent $35.00 for 1st cut then $25.00 for second. Not a waste, but a poor investment. I will be going elsewhere and I recommend others to stay away.

I have been going to Sky Hair since it opened shortly before the beginning of COVID. I had one haircut and unfortunately the business had to be closed re C19. I returned once it was reopened and had my hair done there several times. I would not trade Sky Hair for any other salon and I have been going to salons for many decades…from places that have “junior” and “senior” stylists to First Choice . The professionalism from Jeff and Rachel is far superior to places I have used in the past. Jeff uses your hair like a piece of canvas when an artist is creating a painting. He takes his time and is never in a hurry to get to the next person. The prices are under what senior stylists charge and his finished work is far superior. Their hospitality is also the best, always offering clients water and ensuring we are ok. Thanks Jeff and Rachel for offering excellent and professional service in my community - West Rouge.

It’s a nice place and I highly recommend. Jeff did a great haircut referencing the photo I provided. However I wasn’t crazy with the neckline. I felt it appears a bit masculine. My second haircut was equally satisfying , but again the neckline not my preference. Rather than offer any solution, Jeff walked away and rachel suggested “how about if we shape it into a v”. I opted out of this option . Perhaps a one minute conversation could have concluded in a tapered neckline. Too bad, I was willing to let him solve this one hurdle, since we are new to each other. I had the same hairdresser for forty years . Getting a cut every month, so obviously I’m loyal.Perhaps offering suggestions as the professional rather than asking the client how to fix it in the future will serve you well. I still feel this is a great hairdresser and you will be satisfied. I will still recommend and will continue to take my son there.

DONT GO HERE: THEY DELETE HONEST REVIEWS. They are both nice people, but i am so disappointed and embarrassed to leave my house. My hair is 3 different colours.. I asked for full head highlights which cost $290, and they only did 60% of it. So now my hair is dark brown , with blond stripes. I asked if they could fix it by adding a few more foils (for next time) and she said they can’t. I wish they just offered to fix it or tone it because this is horrendous for almost $300 I can’t even get a FULL head done. Full head means full head. Not leaving mostly my brown hair. She said she can’t fix this but it seems they just don’t want to. She put like 15 foils in my hair max. DONT GO here for professional highlights or balayage. They charge professional prices but cannot even bother to fix it or satisfy the customer if they are not happy. I cried so much at my hair. Stripes of blond mixed with majority brown.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! A friend had recommended the salon and it is beautifully decorated. To my surprise, I got my daughter a hair appointment the same day we called. I was hopeful when I saw the stylists had great hair. We were greeted when we arrived, and as it was a wash cut and colour, we were there for a few hours. We were offered water, and made to feel comfortable. Rachel and Jeff were an amazing team and made my daughter feel special. I couldn't believe the attention to detail, they stayed past closing, and Jeff, with his holster of many types of scissors, snipped away like he was getting an actress ready for a red carpet event. My daughter likes anime and her hair style was beyond what either of us had hoped for, really fantastic! Already she has received many compliments at school! Thank you Rachel and Jeff!!

I went to Najiba's hair salon for the first time because I was tired of going to expensive hair salons that charged me $65 just to give me the exact opposite of what I asked to be done for my hair cut. Najiba listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me the hair cut I've been wanting all this time, but never received before! When she was done, I could not believe that it was my hair, because it just looked amazing! I was so happy that I gave her 3 hugs..I may have creeped her out but that's okay she was very sweet! She told me she had not had a single complaint for 18 years and now I know why. I have found the perfect hair salon for me and if you get Najiba to cut your hair, I'm sure you'll walk away just as happy as I did!

Don't be fueled by the fancy decor. I went there after the lockdown, since I wanted to use local business. What a disappointment. Despite the fact that I explained and ask for certain style, I did not received. I was told that because my hair is very curly, the cut I requested would not look good on me. He cut it the way he want it, the eazy way for him. I was charged upwards of $50, and I left there not being satisfied with the service. I had to go somewhere ells to get the cut I requested and pay again, but at least I am happy how my hair looks now. Thay will never see me again. Loss for them, since I have to cut my hair more often then not.

WORST PLACE EVER. Rachel destroyed my hair. Left highlights in for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Barley did my entire head, she did less than half foils. When i mentioned it she told me not to worry and then the end result was brutal. She didn’t offer to fix it either, and when I asked she said no. Why not? It’s your and your husbands salon. Ruining business and charging clients $400+ for a botched head of highlights. REPLY: yes you did. Rachel did my hair a couple months ago and I did not give you my real name. Then you ripped me off because you charged me $300 and said the toner cost was separate. You should lose your licence for the dishonesty.

Sky hair is an amazing! My first visit to this location was wonderful. Very pleasant atmosphere, Great vibe and friendly, helpful staff, Easy appointments. I had gotten an unfortunate haircut from another establishment and Sky hair saloon spent the time to fixing every detail of my hair until it was perfect. The staff are so skilled.I had a haircut, coloring,and highlights, almost a week before, simply saying awesome, my hair is still looking great and beautiful. I am just waiting for to write my review. They all knew what they were doing, they were all great at their job and I love how my hair came out! Definitely recommend.

Surprisingly friendly. A cordial duet of stylists had cut my quarantined hair that has grown into a huge mane of black mass. Reasonably priced, and, from hearing how they handled other customers, very professional. I've only stumbled upon this place after walking home from the bus and seeing they were open. Would recommend for those needing the convenience of cutting that are right in the neighbourhood. I am unsure of how they do with their permanent wave, permanent straightening and color options as I went for cut and wash. Maybe in the future, I'll update this review when I will color my hair.

I went in wanting a shorter hairstyle than i was used to. Wanting to cut a good portion of hair. I showed a picture of tossled not poofy chin length hair that looked cute and sexy on the model. She hacked into my hair and it actually kinda hurt at one point. And put a palm of texturing mousse in my hair and blow dried and barrel combed.... When i left i ended up with left me looking like a news anchor or a woman who desperately needs to speak to the manager. An upset mushroom neither flirty or sexy i could slick it back and look like a naked mole rat. I wont be returning i think its safe to say

I was folled by some comments here about her hair cut. Even though I showed a picture to Najiba and asked my favorite style, after hair cut it was a disaster, after charging me 33 plus tax, she left my hair without any blow dry and when I came home anjd flat ironed my hair, I just cried and I am so disappointed with Najiba. Now waiting for my hair to grow, please think twice before giving your precious hair to Najiba's hands especially for those ladies for whom style, beauty and elegance is very important.

Very neat and spacious salon. Safety protocols strictly in place - As soon as I entered, they provided hand sanitizer and checked my temperature. The staff had properly secured masks the entire time. They space out appointment times for safety I noticed . My hair cut and eyebrows waxing were done so well at a very reasonable charge. I will definitely go again and recommend this business to all my friends in this community.

This was my first experience with the new estabilishment of Sky Hair after a friend recommended it. I was thrilled with the time and care taken in washing of my hair by Rachel (so nice to lie down for it!) and the cut by Jeff. He listened and double checked regarding my request and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The place is spotless and both are very kind and friendly. I'll be back!

Amazing! Jeff & Rachael are very professional couple who go out of their way to make your experience exactly what you're looking for. I usually go to First Choice chair cutters, but I was carless and child free,so I walked over and met with owners Rachel and Jeff. They hired a new person Klara ( in pic), Compared to supermarket hair place to a salon, I definitely see a difference: time spent =quality. Klara gave me a lovely cut and style. Definitely my new go to. I only cut my hair twice a year.

Took both my daughters to get their hair cut, one a trim and the other a dramatic change. Both cuts were done so meticulously. Both hairdressers did an amazing job, they took their time and didn’t rush. My girls (8 & 9) both loved their cuts! The atmosphere in the salon is also very beautiful, clean, and relaxing. Will definitely be coming here again.

Everyone here was super nice and professional ! My hairstylist was Kui and he was wonderful! He gave me the exact haircut I wanted and I went back to him after a bad at home bleach job done by my bf. Kui did a great job colour correcting my hair and worked really hard to figure out what I wanted. I really recommend him and this salon.

Jeff is amazing. He cuts everyone's hair in the family. My son, my mother in law, and mine. He takes the time to ensure the cut is perfect. I highly recommend Sky Hair and Jeff for all your needs. My son has been to some of the other places with the children's themes, but we definitely get a better cut with Jeff.

Went for a hair cut . The place was absolutely empty. The lady in the reception however said right now we are very busy and cannot take you. Didn’t ask me to set up an appointment or come back after a certain time. Extremely poor interpersonal skills and terrible customer service

Not impressed, was denied service for asking to be next in line when someone didn't show up for their appointment. The owner is very stubborn - will not be returning. Does not respect their customers. Extremely disappointed. Wish Najiba was still around.
