RE Update: Slate plumbing returned today to fix the issue. After looking at the toilet, I was told it would cost $380 to repair, which was unacceptable. I asked to speak to management to resolve the issue, and after some debate, Abel (mgmt) agreed to repair it at no cost, if I would change my review from 1 to 5 stars. While I'm happy with the end result, communication/customer service on the management side needs improvement. With that said, the toilet was repaired and seems to be working well again, so I have updated my review as promised. Update: I never received an email, but I'll take you at your word that you will contact me Monday to make this right. Slate Plumbing broke what they were here to repair. I called to get them back to fix the issue, but an answering service answers all calls, and a manager would never contact me. I can't recommend Slate plumbing.

We had a leak in our ceiling and water running down the walls and bubbling the paint. Slate Plumbing was able to come out same day and take care of the problem. Moises did a fantastic job. He made sure he did the job right, provided insight into what what happened and why, and was always ready to answer questions. He explained everything that he was going to do and gave an estimate before he performed the work. Slate also put us in contact with a Water Mitigation company to stay on top of things and guide us though getting our house back in order. Moises offered top-notch customer service and professionalism. He also found several other minor issues with the plumbing and corrected them before they became problems. We are so glad that we were able to get service from Slate Plumbing.

Slate Plumbing is 5 star all the way! Our technician Daniel Horne, took extra time to educate us on the sewer cleanouts and how we could inspect them ourselves and open them quickly if a back-up occurred (better to have a back-up happen outside the house than into your tub or toilets!) He also went under the crawl space to inspect, and even told us that our pipes (cast iron) can be very fragile over time and if other plumbers were going to clean them out, to make sure to tell them to inspect the pipes before and after they were cleaned out to ensure they didnt damage the pipe further. Their prices seem reasonable and the service and education portion were particularly helpful. I would call them again in a heartbeat if we have further plumbing issues.

THESE GUYS ARE LIARS AND CON ARTISTS!!! They charge $99 up front to send someone to quote changing a water heater. Most people in the industry don't do that. They refused to take a look at it with a video chat. My water heater is in the garage, free standing and up to code. It is a simple replacement. I was told that the installation "starts at $800, which includes the water heater". I figured, even if they add a pan and a little plumbing and it costs a couple hundred dollars more for that, it will only be $1200-$1300 max. So, I decided to overlook the $99 quote fee. They quoted $2200 for a simple installation with easy access from the garage and they lied to me up front. WHAT A CON ARTIST!!!

We hired Slate Plumbing to replace our water heater and they did so efficiently and with top customer service. Moses arrived fully masked and was very kind, helpful, and professional. They were able to come the same day we called and replaced the water heater within 24 hours. There was an issue shortly after the installment and we called to see if they could come back to check out the issue. Moses arrived back at our door very promptly and fixed the issue to ensure his service was successful. I would recommend Slate Plumbing (and specifically Moses) to anyone needing efficient and effective plumbing service!

We love Slate Plumbing! I am impressed with the all around service that this team offers each customer. I value their knowledge and expertise, as they help not only the current situation they address, but also help avoid future fires. Plumbing issues can be such a headache and when they come, it is important to have someone you truly trust at your side to help navigating through the fires of it, as well as the financials. Slate Plumbing does not take advantage of their clients, they simply want to be alongside you and help provide the best experience for you. Cannot recommend this team enough!

I would recommend these guys again. They showed up on time, and got things done quickly. It was in my opinion a pretty big job. Cracked pipes underneath the house, and a nasty all around situation. Moises was very professional and all of the team worked hard. I’m sorry I didn’t get all of their names, but they never stopped until the job was done. Got here before 8:00 a.m. and other than general cleanup they had us up and functioning completely by 4:00. Thanks to all the guys and I would gladly recommend them to anyone. Happy we found you!

Slate was offered by Olshan to do leak detection and sewer line hydrostatic pressue test three weeks after foundation leveling to ensure integrity of sewer line connections. Slate technician very professional.
