This is the BEST liquor store to come to in Calgary. My boyfriend and I are 23 & 24, so we don't always get acknowledged, and employee's wont really ask you how you are doing if you are looking for something. At Solly's, it has never been like that, and we decided to make a drunken liquor run for homemade sangria at 12:38am, and they close at 1. We were greeted instantly, and a guy came over to give us tips and tricks on things he had in the store. Turns out, this guy was the owner! He was there until closing, being friendly, welcoming, and super helpful! We felt like he truly enjoyed our business. As for his employee working there at the time, he was very kind, respectful and friendly, same as each and every trip we make here! Everyone employed there is fantastic! SHOP HERE! This will be the only place we'll go!

In this day and age when customer service seems to be hit and miss, more on the miss side I would say. Was most pleased to have the owner " Danny" take my order and have it delivered to a law office downtown for me. I called him late in the day, on a busy Friday. I expected to have to get a courier service to do the delivery, not only did Danny tell me that all deliveries are free, within reason of course. 24 hr notice is what he would prefer, but this was a last minute call late on a Friday, so I think he does this quite often I gather. He gave me a list of fine Whisky's and Rye's for a gift basket, settled on his expertise. And to top it off, he delivered it personally.....for free! How many places can you say that about?

Nice building and very friendly staff, I walked in looked around and glanced at the prices but I haven't bought anything yet, I like beer and the occasional spirits, I'd give them five stars if they had better prices. If price doesn't matter, then this is the place for you. Update: I just when into Solly's (after two years)to buy some beer at our friendly neighborhood liquor store, there's nothing friendly about them, they're rude, stuck up and they don't know how to handle new customers, I'll never step foot in Solly's again, if I was looking for good service this isn't it, go elsewhere my friends! How do you improve customer service....101...treat every paying customer like gold!

You’d not think there’s much in the way of service that a liquor store could offer, but I was completely blindsided by the high level of care and service Danny provided here at the store. I was looking for a specific brand of Vodka, and while I was in the store, he phoned the rep to request some bottles for same day delivery. While there were some complications, Danny took the time to phone me and keep me updated on the progress, and ultimately used his knowledge to inform me where to find it. I will certainly be coming back to Solly’s Spirits in the future — they truly went above and beyond.

Good liquor store with great selections of wine, spirit and beer. Top friendly staffs who can help you with selections The only downside is they usually run out of my favourite beers. So I end up trying new things just to have a drink. But I am pretty old school and I usually don't like the alternatives. This store isn't really big in beer selections (I don't usually buy beer and spirit so may not know if they have a good range of selections), but for beer you must be prepared to go home with some close substitutes if what you looking for isn't available. I think their prices are friendly

On Canada Day long weekend I was in a bind to get a bottle of champagne delivered to someone as a gift that was in town at a nearby hotel. I called every liquor store in the area and no one seemed to want the business or to help me out. Daniel at Solly's went out of his way to help me out. It is refreshing to deal with a business that is there to help out its customers. I will always support a business that cares about building positive customer relations. Shop Local! not only are you supporting a Calgary family you won't get the epic service anywhere else like this. I love a particular bottle that is very limited for purchase in YYC. Not only did the owner source it out for me, he priced it better than his competitor, reduced it even more because I bought a case (6 bottles) then he proceeded to drive it to the deep south and drop it off to me since we had moved out of the core. Love this Place solely on the customer service!

But what you will find is a locally owned store with an owner that is passionate about the business. You will also find a store that is well stocked, has a ton of variety and is very clean. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and work hard at the opportunity of your repeat business. As an added bonus you will be supportive of another local business!

This is a very nice place, I've went there at least 20 times in the past 6 months now and I have never had a bad experience. They have a great selection of beer, wine, coolers, and hard liquors, and their staff has always been very nice and kind. I also really appreciate that they let us bring our dogs in, sometimes it's hard to find a good place to tie them up. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a reliable place to get liquor!

I worked with Danny at Solly's Spirits & Wines to order beverages for a reunion and he was excellent to work with! He took the time to choose an alcohol selection that he felt would work best for the party I was organizing and it was an incredible selection. The delivery service was right on time, they assisted me with bringing the supply indoors. I can't recommend Solly's Spirits & Wines more, their service is the best in the city. :)

Always had a good experience. Always availability of my favorite liquor. I remember one time I asked him to bring one of my favorite Indian liquor brand and he did that and also call me about the availability. I Always call the owner and asked to come and pick my liquor and he always greet me with a smile. Just one thing I am not happy with is they don't have points system.. Overall wonderful experience all the time.

Definitely my go-to liquor store. They always got some kind of sales going on, plus there’s usually a 750ml liquor bottle on sale for just under $24 that changes every month or so. Staff is another main reason I go there. Everyone’s super friendly and always willing to chat if they’re not busy. Really nice place compared to some other liquor stores you find downtown so I definitely recommend to anyone passing by.

The owner (Danny) is absolutely fantastic! I order all of our liquor for work through him and he is a gem to deal with. He is more than accommodating, super easy to get a hold of, extremely quick turn over time, and superior customer service. He goes above and beyond every time I deal with him. I highly suggest to everyone/anyone to go to Solly's when it comes to your liquor needs. You will not be disappointed!

I have been buying at Solly’s for over a decade. They have a very clean and well-stocked store, with a great variety - the only place I can find my Grandmother’s favourite brand of Scotch. The staff are very personable, friendly and helpful - and come with a lot of product knowledge. I’m never disappointed with the answers I receive to my questions. Would highly recommend Solly’s to everyone I know.

I was in the area so I went in looking for a fairly uncommon liqueur. I wasn't expecting much but not only did they have it, they had it in the bigger bottle size. Plus when I said I was a fan of herbal liqueurs the person had a couple more suggestions for me to try. I was very impressed by the guy's knowledge of obscure liqueurs and by their customer service.

Have met the owner a few times and he's a super good guy and I like supporting them. They're a local, family run shop. They're always open too with regular hours so no matter the holidays, they're super convenient.

Not only is Solly's location super convenient but the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! I've been looking for a place that sells my favorite wine for months now with no luck, I asked if they sold it there and sadly they did not. However, my next visit they had it in stock!! Definently worth the visit and it's my new favorite place to buy my wine!

This place is great -- the staff is helpful, knowledgeable (I don't know anything about wine), and they're downright good people. They're open when other liquor stores are not which is a huge selling point if you're in downtown late, especially on the weekends.

Felt like I was being watched when shopping. More expensive than other stores. Staff are hit and miss one didn't seem to friendly when asked about 40oz or Tallboy cans. Open late, which is nice.
