The view of Downtown from the Bridge is Beautiful! Evening time is the best time to be there especially if you get to see the Bats flying around and leaving the bridge at Dawn. But the view is what I would recommend at any time fo the day. see the pictures I have posted along with the 360.

It is a joy to see the bats emerge on summer nights! Be aware that sometimes they won’t all come out due to wind or weather. Or on July 4 and days following they don’t come out at all due to fear. But when they do come out, get your camera ready! It’s a sight like nothing before!

Fun experience seeing the bats! We got there a little too early but it was fine. Be sure to bring waters, snacks and something to sit on. Most people got there right at dusk and there was still plenty of time to see the bats.

Come at the sunset time (from 7:30 to 9:45) and watch millions of bats emerging from under the bridge. It is a seasonal event, you are most likely to see them spring to summer. We were lucky to watch them at the end of April while visiting Austin.

A bridge over the road leading to the Texas State Capitol. This bridge is not only a beautiful view of the pond, but also a flock of bats can be observed in the evening. They are so numerous that they form streaks of bats in the sky.
This bridge has bats under it that fly out after every sunset!
