"Very grateful to have a beautiful park in Sands End and I have visited a lot and walked through as I have lived here all my life"
"South Park is beautiful! Lovely community"
"Lovely park and playground, nice community centre with clean toilets and a lovely cafe"
"Very peaceful park, I kinda just wanted to visit to say I've been down to South Park"
"This should be a 21st century park"
Very grateful to have a beautiful park in Sands End and I have visited a lot and walked through as I have lived here all my life. The only grumble is they cut down a few years ago a group of very beautiful, mature lilac plants which smelled incredible whilst in flower. When asked why they cut it down I was advised that people complained about them and causing hay fever! Other than this, it is very well kept bar the toilets as per previous comments. They have a café - Paggs which I have yet to try, I only realised it was there last week though will try it soon (I don't visit as often now as I no longer have a dog). A very lovely park
South Park is beautiful! Lovely community. There's even a geocache in the park, so if you love treasure hunting, you'll really love this park. There are always so many cute dogs visiting the park! I live on a street which leads straight to the park, so I'm always so near to it. You wouldn't have expected it, but... sometimes, I take my cat for a walk (don't worry! I don't attach leads or chains to a collar on my cat) because my cat loves following me to the lovely green space and flowers! So glad to be living near South Park.
Lovely park and playground, nice community centre with clean toilets and a lovely cafe. Going there over the years we noticed that Wednesday afternoons are very busy as the school next door seems to close early, so the playground is fuller then than usual. Beautiful surrounds with lovely trees. There is a walnut tree Grove which is coming along nicely and a pretty community garden with bee hives.
Very peaceful park, I kinda just wanted to visit to say I've been down to South Park. It is a medium sized park with tennis area and basketball courts. Some people were even having a BBQ so decent. Not sure how wide the jogging mile is but am sure you need to do 2 laps for a mile. Lots of dog walkers but that's to be expected. Only downside is the noise from the planes above.
This should be a 21st century park. But with no changing facilities or showers and all the dressing rooms locked presumably decripit. It is difficult to see this facility being a council run public park as anything more than just n open space. The public convenience is unisex this is not very safe. Good for dog walking but not a good picnic venue.Their is a good cafe on site.
Behind the wall some playing fields, tennis courts, a playground, cafe and mature trees amidst neglected buildings, desultory bedding and foliage verging on the decrepit. The distinctive northwestern corner improvement, a massive fillip here and augurs well for the anticipated future upgrade. "Got to admit, it's getting better....."
This is my local park. Good open space, great little ecology zone for wildlife,. There is a wonderful community kitchen garden, which is a great place to teach children about plants,, bees, wildlife etc there is also a big kids play area. strong local parks police presence, table tennis, and the new community centre with cafe etc.
Peaceful and well maintained park where you could play tennis basketball and so on. Perfect for families and people who wants to enjoy a walk with their dogs. There is also a designated closed space/path for dogs. Great for walks and runs or a chilled and nice rest seated in the grass or in the benches.
A lovely little family/community park, with activities such as tennis and basket ball a little sandy from the excessive heat of the summer. If you are looking for rose gardens and botany this is not for you, but it's cute, pretty and convenient, a leap above the grass only of Lilly rec.
Went to South Park for their community fun day, granddaughter had a great time. Lovely park with tennis court, recreation ground for football & cricket. Well looked after childrens play park, glad to see toilets are available once again after many years lying dormant.
Full of sport activities courts: football, tennis, basketball, cricket and two table tennis. Plus two days per week there are football coaches training kids. I saw even rugby and basket training. I love it! P.S. The football association is Jolof team! They are great!
Great park, lots of open space and good facilities, tennis courts etc, also never over busy so one can always find personal space for meditation or yoga or exercise. Highly recommended, but please don't all come and spoil things with crowding.
A park from my childhood. Not very pretty, but schools and amateur teams playing rugby and football, tennis courts that you can rent, lots of dogs rushing around and plenty of space. It has been a bit of a lifeline for me during lockdown.
It's nice a fieldy, a few benched to sit down and watch the view while reading a book etc. However I would like it more if it had more substance. Also the little garden where dogs aren't allowed shoukd have at least one more sitting area.
I'm goin' down to South Park Gonna have myself a time Friendly faces everywhere Humble folks without temptation Goin' down to South Park Gonna leave my woes behind Ample parking, day or night People spouting, "Howdy, neighbor!"
This was MY PARK , 40 YEARS IT HAD BEEN "MY PARK" but I'm not going anymore because many horrible people from countries where civilization are not yet arrived and they had not learn yet how to live in societies like Europe
Haven’t got off car to explore, looks like a good place to relax on a nice warm summer day, with the nice beautiful view of the river Thames. Huge park as well and Putney centre is not far away. Recommend this park.
The park over the years had gone down. There are no more band stand.averys of birds the council does not seem to care about what people want there only concern is to save money putting the wrong people into power.
Nice neighborhood family park with a playing area reserved for kids (no dogs). Good for jogging, pic nics, walking dogs, playing cricket/ football, tennis, bike riding. Recommended in all seasons
Excellent Little Park in a Beautiful part of London, This Park is a gem hidden away in a residential area. Not that big, but a lovely local park all year round especially in the Summer of course.
Great park with decent open spaces and some trees, but fields are often taken by local independent school or sports teams. Decent clean, working loos year-round would make it heaps better.
It’s a great place to have yourself a time. There’s friendly faces everywhere and humble folks without temptation. It’s a great place to leave your woes behind and a great place to unwind.
A big public park to relax and do sports with 4 tennis courts, football pitches and a nice playground. The only down side is the toilets.. Often closed or not clean when it is open..
it's a lovely park loads of dog walkers and stuff plenty of benches to take a sit down along the way I like this park really nice and friendly people round this part of the manor.
It's not the place for you if you're visiting London and staying here temporarily however if you want to play football, rugby ect or learn to cycle it is a good place to go to
Good atmorphere. Good for picknick or just let the kids play. Very clean park (not the bathroom that is in need of a refurbshment). Always with loads of activitis going on.
Relatively clean, well maintained park. Great extended playground, wide green areas, tennis fields, football fields, dog friendly areas. Minus: no available toilet at times
Absolutely love the cafe the staff are very friendly and the facilities are good. Only issue lots of flies in the nappy bin needs to be emptied more regularly.
Good for football or dog walk just enough open space middle of the road which could be dangerous when you gave small kids have to all eyes on kids basically
Great park with large fields and some beautiful trees and gardens. They have 4 tennis courts and also a great outdoor gym- best I have ever seen!
Nice park, good for dog walking, sports and running. Good for picnics when weather permits, closes at dusk so earlier in winter than in summer.
Lovely modern community centre with a fabulous cafe: yummy food and drinks. Friendly staff and relaxing surroundings looking over the park.
very nice park, with a lot activities for children of any ages: football, rugby, cricket, tennis. Space for run and rest. lovely space
Peaceful clean enough good for dog walkers. We come here often. The public toilet there is dark and scary with no lights.
I got a beautiful time with friends doing Zumba and enjoying the sunny day
Restrooms
Where clean, well keeping
Lovely park immerse in a nice neighborhood!! Great for tennis sport the courts are well keep!! Relaxing
It’s a great TV show but not the most appropriate for kids - should be under adult supervision. Thanks
Good place quiet during this lockdown. Found just a handful of people for some regular workout.
I go there most days to walk my dog. It now has a lovely little cafe. Lots of sports going on.
A safe, clean and perfect park for families. Children’s playground, tennis courts, ping pon..
Great open space well looked after dog walkers are responsible so all in all great stuff.
It's a really nice park, I've been going there for almost 10 years
Very well kept public park. Well thought out facilities.
Decent park, quite a lot of facilities
