When our cat Cookie became severely ill, they made time to see her on an emergent basis and got us right in! The whole staff was very gentle with us when giving us the sad news that she was suffering from Intestinal Lukemia and would not get better, and helped us to make a very difficult decision in relieving her suffering. They made it easier for us to make this decision in the humane way they cared for her, and the very sweet way they communicated and comforted us in this whole process! They even provided us with a footprint keepsake that we will cherish forever! They are true angels that work here and I am just so greatful for them. Save your time and find an office that actually cares about the health and lives of your pets. More than once I have had issues with the front office staff. On one occasion, I was given the wrong medication for my animals which could kill them. But then yesterday, Monday 11/30/2021 at 7:30 am, I was not only refused to be seen by the veterinarian while my cat was deteriorating in the car but also I was treated like garbage by the woman at the desk. While I was in emotional distress on the phone asking for help for my cat while in the car in the parking lot, the woman on the phone with me hung up on me and when I came in to ask for a referral she continued to be rude and rolled her eyes at me while I stood there crying. Horrible... absolutely horrible.

I highly reccomend this place. Our vet Dr. Healy is awesome. We have been taking our babies there for a couple of years now. A good vet is a must with us and Dr. Healy is very compassionate and loves her job. It shows. We are going through a rough time with our lil guy and she and her staff are very caring. Dr. Healy has sat with me on the floor many times to be on my babies level. He loves her, and she gets tail wags from him. I feel so grateful for having them as our lifeline for our babies. I also have had Dr. Evan's and she is very passionate too. We like to have the same vet, but Evan's is our backup if Healy is not there when we need care. From the time you walk in till the time you leave they are great. Staff is wonderful too.

We loved our experience! We saw Dr. Ridge and she was fabulous with my large dog who gets very nervous and scared at the vet. The staff were so calm and patient with both him and me as I tried different methods from his training to help him calm down. They took the time to listen to my experiences at other vets and to explain his treatment to me, rather than rushing me out the door as I’ve experienced elsewhere. They were also highly concerned with cost and even recommended switching him to a different flea/tick medication because it would be cheaper for us. I never felt “guilted” into purchasing or as if I was being up-sold—just that they wanted what would be best for our dog and our lifestyle.

These people are so wonderful. I will never ever trust another vet or vet receptionist again. SSAH treat you like family. More importantly, they treat your fur babies like their own. I could go on for weeks on how wonderful this vet office is. But, I will say the important: They are honest, knowledgeable, loving, caring and true. My dogs have seen it all; glaucoma, heartworm, dementia, old age, teeth, stomach issues, allergies, blood, sneezing or just the most common concern. I would drive an hour to see them. They are wonderful. I am unable to afford their services. My elderly dog was having new issues so I was unable to determine if it was due to pain or cognition. After paying over 300. Dollars I still am not sure. She seems to be having intermittent back pain. Dr Evans had her on an anti-inflammatory. And on pain pills. X-rays cost about another 200.00 which I will have when I get my social security check. I’m not saying dr evans did anything wrong. She is wonderful. On a fixed income, I don’t have the funds to get X-rays. My sweet girl is about 14 years old. She is still vibrant and active. I hate to see her suffer due to my inability to pay.

After being disappointed with other Vets in the area my groomer recommended South Side Animal Hospital. I am so happy with them.!! My fur baby needed to have a hernia repaired, we are at 2 week post pot. They have been with us every step of the way.❤ Dr Healey and staff are the best! Kind, caring, and professional. They are also reasonably priced. Even during this crazy time of social distancing, they took extraordinary measures to assure our animals and us were safe. I visited South Side Animal Hospital with my two cats after having less than ideal experiences at various other vet offices, so my expectations were pretty low. From the moment I walked in to the minute I was checking out, every single employee was incredibly helpful and sweet towards me and my pets. Dr. Healey was born for helping animals. She is very knowledgeable about all things pet related and treated them as if they were her own. The cost was reasonable for the quality of service you are receiving. Looking forward to going back to South Side in the future!

My cats Dante and Goliath absolutely love the Southside Animal Hospital. They truly care for their patients. We are "friquent flyers" due to reoccurring diarrhea, and both cats get their medications asap. I had a hard time finding the "veterinarian home" for my pets. Other local veterinarian hospitals do not offer necessary services on time needed. However, the South Side Animal Hospital gave us an appointment as soon as possible, doctors and staff are offering all possible help and solutions. Thank you, guys!

I had a great experience at South Side Animal Hospital. We had recently moved to the area when our maltese starting coughing up blood. They were able to get us in within 2 hours for a visit. They were helpful and professional and explained everything very well. After an injection of antibiotics our little pumpkin had no more problems. I was expecting the worst when it came to the bill but the prices are very reasonable and they made sure to cover all the bases. Very happy with our new vet!

They are super accommodating and got me in the same day, as my dog needed seen immediately! The vet (Dr. Healy) was so gentle and patient and even called to check back in on my dog a few days later! Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful. We were seen in a timely manner and running tests and X-rays was actually much quicker than I had expected! To make things even better, I felt that their prices were very reasonable! I’d absolutely recommend this place to any dog or cat owner!

I will never go to another veterinarian as long as I can get to SSAH. I have a mean/skittish/hates humans cat that is nearly impossible to get in a carrier for transport. He had a terrible mouth issue and they got me a quick appointment, which I missed because it took so long to catch him. They not only squeezed his exam in once we got there, but also the surgery he needed because he was in so much pain. And i love the separate entrances and lobbies for cats and dogs!

This was my first visit to the office. It was an annual exam for my cat and his shots. We had Dr. Evans and she was fantastic. We left our last vet because I didn't feel the Dr. was very thorough. Dr. Evans was very sweet with my cat and very thorough. She looked him over everywhere and answered all my questions. I felt the prices were reasonable as well. This will be our new vet office going forward! Also really like the separate entrances for dogs and cats!

I have been taking my Dogs here Since I moved to the south side 9 years ago. I initially picked them out of the phone book because I had to get my older JRT looked at quickly and my old vet could not get him in. I have gone there ever since. The kindness and compassion I have received from them in times of need are immeasurable. I have always felt my that my pets health and safety come first with them. The entire staff is helpful and able to answer question.

My family has been coming to South Side Animal Hospital for 25 years. Everyone is kind, compassionate, and helpful. They listen to your concerns and truly care about you and your pets. Would recommend this office to everyone. When we first started coming here, we lived 5 minutes away. Now we live half an hour away, but I would never consider changing veterinarians. Absolutely the best!

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff made this visit. At the time of this review, my pup was 12 weeks old and from a rescue; nervous around new places. The entire staff, especially Dr. Ridge were upbeat and made the pup feel comfortable. All my questions were answered fully and professionally, even the ones which I probably should've already known. The vets are really good, the front end Staff is horrible, rude, and could care less about you and your pet. The women who work the front desk get nasty with people on the phone while in front of you and then get nasty with you while you are there. I went to this Vet for 20 years and stopped going due to how rude the staff is. Find another vet.

I can never say enough good things about the entire staff at SouthSide. They have been there for my fur baby from his first vet visit up until we had to say goodbye. Their great care kept him healthy for over fourteen years when he had many, many health ups and downs. You won't find more compassionate people who truly care about pets.

I went to this vet as an emergency and I can't say enough nice things about them. The vet I had was a female and she was so gentle and kind. I was an emotional wreck being that my dog was sick and she did an outstanding job! Their prices are fair and I would highly recommend them. I will continue to go there for yearly shots.

I'd give South Side Animal Hospital ten stars if I could! They truly care about their patients and their humans. The front office staff is so kind, knowledgeable and responsive and the vets are the best! There's a reason I drive 30 min to get here. It is worth it for the high quality care and friendly service.

South Side Animal Hospital is the BEST! they have taken care of my Molly for 13 years and she Miss Molly is NEVER scared to go there - from her emergency surgery ( she ate yarn) to routine visits - she loves the staff and so do we!! South Side Animal does a wonderful job taking care of our Lincoln. They detected early on he had some hip issues. This has helped us prolong our boys life. Had a wonderful experience today. Lincoln received his annual shots and they clipped his nails. We also get his special food to help his joints here.

Dr. Jones and everyone at South Side Animal Hospital truly treat your pets like their own. When our pup was having some issues, Dr. Jones went way out of his way to make sure she was taken care of right away and I left knowing she will be OK. If you are as obsessed with your pets as I am, just go here!!!

The staff here is amazing and so so attentive to their patients. Our GSD has been a patient here since he became a member of our family and South Side Animal Hospital has been nothing short of amazing! Our fur baby will be 12yo in two weeks and I wouldn't trust anyone else with his health and well being.

South Side Animal Hospital goes above and beyond to gently care for our dog. She is a rescue and gets a little anxious at the vet. The staff is patient and takes their time with her, giving her attention until she relaxes. They truly love animals and it shows!

One plus side to this place: IF you call and only need medication, like every decent human or animal doctor, they fill and let you pick up meds. Very nice. The negative As a owner, I should not feel like I am dropping an arm and a leg each and every visit.

I love to bring my fur babies to South Side Animal Hospital . They have a very helpful and friendly staff my animals are always very comfortable with them. They always know just what to do to make my fur babies feel better and keep their health on track.

Took my dog there for them to run test and tell me they cannot help him. Then they charge me $600 and said they were going to send my records over to the animal ER. They never did they do not listen to what you say about your dog?

Dr Evans is very friendly! She will explain in depth about what's going on with your pet! While the services are a bit more pricey at this establishment, they seem to care more about your pet than any other place I've been.

Stopped by to have a chip scanned on a found pet. He was promptly returned home due to him being chipped. I'd recommend anyone to get their dogs and even possibly cats microchipped. Great veterinarian.
