It had been more than ten years since I’d been to the dentist. On arrival I opened my mouth, the nurse fainted and I heard the receptionist on the phone to the zoo, asking them if they’d lost a camel. After the initial shock, however, Sophia, OMG what an Angel, got right to work. With the sweetest bedside manner, you could ever dream of meticulously took me through what would be best to put my war torn pirate ship of a mouth back together again. ‘Perhaps we should start with a clean, now this is a toothbrush…etc.’ On my second visit as I rounded the corner into their street my teeth became so exited they actually jumped out of my mouth and started running on the pavement in front of me to get there faster. South Yarra Dental Group are the friendliest and warmest dental group I have ever been to, all of them! My mouth has gone from feelling like a broken down pirate ship to a trillion-dollar cruise liner. I enjoyed it so much, I'm hoping to move in. Yours sincerely Pacman.

Susan’s bubbling personality, professionalism, gentleness and caring outlook made the cleaning sessions and overcoming the dreaded gum disease, very pleasant indeed. With such vast knowledge, Susan’s keenness to share that knowledge base only motivated me to take better care of my oral hygiene. Susan possesses all the traits of an excellent hygienist and goes above and beyond her duty of care to promote the good of her patients’ dental hygiene. Thank you so very much, Susan. I have just managed to access my Google Account! I would like to post a review for Anton who I met whilst holidaying back in March 2020. I managed to lose a part of my tooth on the side and it was clearly visible. I was going on a cruise and needed emergency treatment. Anton did a perfect tooth coloured filling and I was very happy! Whilst visiting I asked about my wisdom tooth which has broken too. He said he could remove it a couple of days later. My dentist had issued me with antibiotics in case I had any infection develop whilst on holiday. I accepted the appointment and overcame my fear of having a tooth removed. Anton liaised with my dental surgery in Coventry and did an excellent job. Upon returning home my dentist praised his work. I would wholeheartedly recommend Anton to anyone. He is an excellent dentist, thank you.

The worst customer service I received in recent memory. I had booked my appointment 6 weeks prior and received all the confirmation emails and paperwork, only to turn up and be told it had been cancelled. Having no evidence of the cancellation from my end, one can only assume they had indeed cancelled the wrong appointment. This was not offered as a possibility, nor no solution offered. Only after leaving and arriving home did I get a call saying they could rebook me, after I had pressed for a solution in person. I'm appalled. As an existing customer, and will never be returning and I advise others not to bother booking as it might be cancelled without consent or knowledge. They now claim I had rescheduled to a later date, but they obviously moved my appointment by accident instead of the actual customer who called.

Sofia Vorontsov and Bao Tran Moved to Melbourne 2.5 years ago and struggled to find a dentist I fit with. Found this clinic, they squeezed me in and were so proactive in contacting previous dentist to get updated records. I was lucky enough to see Sofia.. She was / is amazing! Super knowledgeable, explained this really we'll, great attention to detail and picked up things other dentists haven't. (Like having a fracture across one I my teeth - which in hindsight I have had for many years (from grinding teeth), however no one else has picked it up. I highly recommend her, Also saw Bar (hygienist) and she is awesome as well. Again, I know I was getting a super thorough clean, she had great level of detail, super nice and friendly. Definitely recommend these guys if you are looking for a south yarra dentist!

My husband and I have been patients if SYDental for over 20 years. Their expertise and up-to-date practices have provided us with exceptional dental care and the confidence that we have always received the best advise and outcomes. I recently lost two vital teeth and Anton’s earnest approach to helping me determine the best alternative was faultless. I decided on implants and could not be happier. He has a gentle and concerned manner and I always felt in good hands. We can honestly recommend the practice to anyone looking for the best care and preservation of their teeth. I’m a pretty highly anxious person when it comes to Dentistry, so unfortunately this leads me to leave things until they become an issue. I had never been to sydg before, and had been recommended Dr Anton. Both before, and during the procedure Anton made me feel very much at ease, and checked in regularly to make sure I was travelling ok. He also keeps up conversation throughout, so you’re not constantly worrying about everything that’s going on. I’ll be making a point to check in regularly with Dr Anton to keep up my Dental health. As for SYDG as a whole, they also offer payment plans. Which myself, and I’m sure many others find to be really helpful financially. It just takes another layer of stress off the whole process. Could not recommend Dr Anton and SYDG any more highly!

As a first time patient- at the behest of classic dental emergency conditions- I could not have been more impressed, grateful and satisfied with my visit to SYDG. From first phone call, where an appointment was essentially created for me, to meeting, consulting with, and being tended with great expertise by Boris, my experience was an absolute delight. At no time did I feel like I was simply ‘squeezed in’, as an unscheduled patient. My treatment, on both a professional and social level was exemplary. Thorough, informative and thoughtful. I am delighted with my new dental clinic, and could not recommend them highly enough.

I have recently been going to Anton for a large amount of dental work that I had left untreated for a long period. The quality of the work he does is excellent. Throughout all the extensive work he has done for me he is always extremely considerate and careful, and the entire process is pain free, which is very different from experiences I have had with other dentists. Anton is very friendly and accommodating, he always makes sure you are comfortable and have a good program on the screen to watch while you are in the chair getting work done.

I had a filling done today and a clean. Both the dentist and Hygeinist are lovely and highly skilled. To many it may not mean much but having filling done under microscope- well that means a lot to me. And I love how my clean was great with the Airflow - stain free teeth and pain free and comfortable. Dr Boris and Leianna are both every nice and chatty and I love that. Plus very accomodating, Leianna missed her lunch to accomodate me today. I feel bad that her lunch was delayed but I also feel nice and wanted to just say thank you.

This is the best dental practice I have attended in my 50 years of dental work. Dr Anton performed a difficult infected extraction at short notice, it couldn’t have been better executed. Now waiting next step implant plan, I have complete confidence. Hygienist Andrew, is outstanding, highly skilled, knowledgeable and thorough in his work and educational instruction. All the support staff, including administration are excellent. This practice spent quality time with me throughout! Don’t hesitate to book an appointment here.

Anton has been my treating dentist for over 12 years. Anton is a brilliant, caring dentist and a great person. I had to get a tooth pulled and it was safe to say I was pretty nervous. But Anton put my nerves at ease. He is very relaxed and has a very calm way of going about everything, from talking you through it all and checking in regularly to see how you're going. Hands down the best dentist I've seen. I had to have a wisdom tooth removed urgently, and had never been to the practice before. They fit me in on the day and Anton was able to remove my tooth in the chair that afternoon. I was horrifically scared to do this in the chair and Anton and the team made me feel very comfortable and reassured. The experience was so painless and enjoyable that I hope I need another tooth pulled so I can have Anton and the team do it. Thanks guys

This was my first time back to the dentist in about 6 years and Sofia, the dentist that did my exam today, was absolutely fantastic!! Exactly the type of dentist I’d hoped for, coming back after so many years. She was kind, knowledgeable and transparent about the things I needed done. It’s really tricky for someone just moved to the city to find a compatible dentist, in that case I recommend STDG and Sofia.The staff is very friendly, Sofia and the nurse are gentle. They make reasonable amount of time for your appointment and wouldn’t rush. I have a complex case, Sofia patiently explained all the possible outcomes and solutions.

I’ve had a positive experience each time I have visited SYDG. I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted by Anton, who ensured I was very well informed before the procedure. He, and the lovely staff, went above and beyond to ensure I was as comfortable as possible during the extraction. I was very confident that I was in safe hands.

Anton is a genius! As a first-time patient, I had a broken tooth repaired, after hearing how good this place is. Anton rebuilt my tooth at the first appointment, by hand, in the chair. I’ve been coming for almost 30 years now and absolutely love it! The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The dentists are always very gentle and I have had a number of procedures performed both medically and cosmetically - all have been incredibly successful and relatively painless.
