worst car wash in the city. the owners are liers the water is cold and it leaves a white soapy resudue on your car once it dries. this is the closest wash to my house so this resudue was on my car for months. i thought it was perment went to a better car wash with hot water and it dissapeared. the cold water and chemicals they use leave your car looking dull after its cleaned and not fully washed. they can sweep whatever they want under the rug but the fact is my car doesnt come out clean. thats the main purpose of going to a car wash. i have a 2004 green subaru wagon with an original paint job. i also tried out a brand new black audi and they resudue was really noticable on the brand new black paint job soon as i took it to a car wash with hot water the resdue dissapeared. so the problem is deffently the cold water and chemicals thier using. i have since read there responce i know how to wash i car i have been doing it for 10 plus years. instead of you teaching me how to wash my car il just go to any other car wash and wash it myself. i dont need help washing my car you need help fixing your car wash. and the water is cold to the touch so i dont know what your talking about the water is no where even close to 110. i find it funny they deny the problems instead of looking into fixing them....... cold water, bad cheap chemicals that leave resdue, timer that time before water comes. vehicles that dont come clean. and i find it insulting that i would need to be shown how to wash my car! il just go to any other car wash and wash it the way i always have no problems. if your car wash needs a certain teqnique to get cars clean that no other car wash needs then there is defently somthing wrong with your car wash. also my first job in junoir high was hughes car wash so pull the towel over someone elses eyes!
Updated review March 10th. Stopped in for a quick car wash and the first stall the pressure washer hose leaked badly spraying water and soap everywhere even on my jacket, noticed it was taped up with electrical tape so I stopped the machine and moved my truck to another stall. When I saw the worker I showed him the hose and explained how I moved after getting soaked using it. I asked for my $2 back. He said we don't do that. I had to ask for the owners cell to call Victor to explain the situation, while the worker was fixing the hose. He initially laughed me off over $2 but I had to explain to him the principle of keeping customers happy. Will not be going back here and I don't recommend it to others. There are many great car washes on the West side and this is not one of them as customer service is lacking here. Very clean car wash. Attendees always available. Change machine works good. Just no under carriage spray on entry.
The staff are very attentive and helpful, I however would go somewhere else with larger stalls especially due to driving a truck. I was stuck doing a 7 point turn into the first stall on the right due to it being super busy which was being handled very efficiently, still definitely felt it was very cramped. It would have been okay for a car, suv only if vehicles are being placed on availability which it is/was and maybe think of having truck only stall locations to ensure good visibility and ease. I used rinse only and noticed a white residue on my vehicle even though I spent 2 dollars twice independently with the same white residue effect on my vehicle resulting which is disappointing... I have never experienced a white residue simply washing on rinse and will still need to rewash my vehicle at my local car wash tomorrow to actually get it looking shiny and clean as my visit today clearly didn't accomplish that task :(
Sparkle is always a really clean car has wash that has so many options (soap, tire and rim cleaner, clear coat, spray rinse, air dry, vacuum, soap brush) but the only thing that I don't like is that it takes about 15 seconds of your paid time before the selection kicks in (ie. You pick soap and it takes 15 seconds before soap kicks in). Also they change the old rule where you start with $2 and you could let you time run out and I think as long as it didn't go one minute, you could enter $1 to continue on. Now, you have to add that dollar in the last 15 seconds which is basically impossible and to start again is $2. So that's not very nice of them to change but it's always super busy so I guess people will still pay. All the equipment always has worked great so you do always get a quality product.
Pretty standard car wash, it wouldn't read my card and took 5 minutes to get it to work, which was a bit frustrating, it's a little higher priced than some others and came to 9$ for soap and a rinse and I try to be quick. It also isn't helpful that they don't have the pricing Cleary shown, so you have no idea until you're finished. And I wish there was an option to pause the time or choose a set time rather than it continue, switching to a foam brush or vaccum or changing the setting the timer keeps going, whereas coin washes are more efficient that way. You can stop it and start it again but then you're getting 3-4 different charges to your card. Overall I think there's better options, but if you're there and need a wash it'll do the job.
Good lighting, friendly staff, clean & maintained facility. Our only problem is the credit card payment option. Once the credit card is authorized, the timer starts and charges to your credit card begin. After washing is completed, you must press the STOP button firmly in order to stop the timer. Otherwise, it keeps on running. We have never used more than $7 to wash our small vehicles but we just received a credit card statment and there was a $14 charge! We must have left the timer running and/or someone else drove in and took advantage of a free wash. Only way around this is perhaps having an option to print out a receipt after the wash is done. Then you have a paper record of what the final charge will be.
Started coming here after the Lewis Estates car wash told me I couldn't wash my muddy truck there after 11 years of faithful patronage. I pulled into the building and gave the attendant a sheepish "please don't kick me out" smile as I headed for a stall. The old fella apparently knew that look, because he gave me a big smile and a thumbs up as I parked. Get the mud off your rig rocket and wash out your dirty dirty box with no worry that someone is going to tell you otherwise. Exceptionally well lit, good pressure/temperature. Best wand wash in West Edmonton. I don't go anywhere else. All they need is an undercarriage wash. If you guys could go ahead and drop the 20 Grand on one for me that'd be great.
I come to this facility about once a week and have done so since it opened. I have used many car washes over the years and I can confidently say this is the cleanest and most meticulously maintained wash I have had the pleasure of using. I have met both of the owners as have my family and they are extremely pleasant and helpful to all of us. It is refreshing to frequent a business that makes you feel valued as a customer these days and that is what you will get here! The price is very fair, equipment top notch and consistent great service each and every visit. I highly recommend this car wash and look forward to many more years of being a patron. Thank you !! Neil
Their timers count down before the spray starts, and the buttons to switch from wand to foam brush, or to vacuum, do not switch properly and you also loose valuable seconds. The timers should not count down until the spray starts or until the option switches. You loose time to quickly. I assume they make a lot of money with the poor operation of this system. I have since read their response and find the excuse they have for the way that I press the buttons ridiculous, and their resolve doesn't fix the problem. I can only imagine how many other patrons feel the same way.
I have been coming to this car wash since it first opened . It is always very clean and bright with nice large bays and I find the staff very friendly and professional. I have been there when the owner was showing a lady how to operate the wand system and explaining to her all the different setting ,she had never operated a wand wash before . I have recommended Sparkle Express to family members and friends and they also liked the car wash. I live in south west area of Edmonton and Sparkle Express is a welcomed addition to the neighbourhood.
Very clean establishment and very friendly staff but other then that I won't use this car wash ever again, I went to wash my truck after work today and it looks clean when your ready to leave because it's all wet but when it dries dirt streaks everywhere. their soap setting is basically a rinse with next to nothing for soap the only good thing this place has going for it is the actual rinse setting has alot of pressure. I wouldn't recommend this place if you actually want a clean vehicle unless your willing to spend a fortune
Terrible Place. Never Go Here. I brought my truck in here to wash it and was told by the owner that it was too dirty and next time I wouldn't be allowed to bring my truck in to have it washed! His rationale was that there was too much dirt on it so it would cost too much money for him to clean up the mess in the drain! I couldn't believe this. Needless to Say I will Bring My Business elsewhere Joe I have lived in Callingwood for over 25 years so no sorry I definitely didn't get your car wash mixed up with a different one.
What a great little quick in and out spot. Totally coin opperated not on a time inside payment plan like most car washes with this layout. I have a larger 1 tonne truck and didn't have any problems getting in or out and the length of the wand and brush hoses was more than sufficient to reach all around the truck. Nice touch was the sign asking people to respect the line up and not wipe off inside if there was a line. Have seen places post signage that rather said no wiping down inside allowed.
Bring plenty of coins and be prepared to keep feeding coins to the pay station. Pressure wand was spraying water all over me. The hose consisted of more repair tape than actual hose. The hose kept banging into my vehicle as the suspension was not moving properly. The foam brush was extremely dirty yet made up for it by being terribly useless. It scratched the living **** out of my car's finish. I worked extremely fast, yet ended up paying $26.00 for the experience. Never again!
I always went to this car wash! But I only get the nest service when the owner is around! I was there yesterday and needed help from an associate but stood there for 5 minutes! A guy came in and didn’t even acknowledge my presence there! I just left with rage , maybe because I’m a brown person , not sure! But I’ll never go there again and I’ll warn my family and friends against going to this car wash! Pls don’t go there
It was my First time there, It's a very clean place and has big stalls, management is super friendly, polite and helpful, everything worked pretty good as expected, water pressure was really good with a good temperature, I have a big truck and it had lots of mud and ice on it at the time (came back from hunting) and I could easily work around my truck and get it all clean in no time. I'll be gladly going back, Thanks.
Overall, I like this facility. I do however wish they would change their timer. I am always highly frustrated when I drop my money, the timer starts counting down, but the unit has in my opinion, a lengthy pause before kicking in. I find that to be an unfair business practice to which I always leave feeling "owed". Oh yes, I don't understand why they open so late while so many other facilities are open at 7.
Their credit card machines and the switchboard are the best things about this place. The wands and lances are old and worn. It takes a very long time for soap or plain water to come out of the wand. This translates into a much bigger charge at the end. If it wasn't for having a ceramic coating, it would've easily cost 25-30 dollars for a comprehensive wash.
I accidentally dumped my garbage from the car which I didn’t know contained some of my bottles in it and I tried taking them out and putting them in a bag. The staff, I think the owner, stopped me and told me I couldn’t take the bottles. He then said some disparaging remarks even with my door open and my 4yo son right there. Never going there again ever.
I was hoping this would be the car wash to go to because I've tried multiple car washes and they can seem to get whatever the film is on my truck off, and its not cheap I spent $30. The only way I can get that off is this stuff I bought called rainx its the only stuff that takes the film off..so I guess I keep looking for a car wash that takes it off
I always go there for a carwash. Staff are very helpful and polite. It could be very busy during weekends and mid day til noon, but I don't mind waiting in line. The best time to go is around 8 to 9 am or in the evening. Coins may get stuck sometimes. It happened to me a couple of times, but other than that, it was all good.
I had quite a bad experience. Half of the options were not working, and there were no warnings that something was malfunctioning. I was unable to get a refund because it was the customer's fault that the water was running instead of the presoak and soap at the car wash. ♀️ The worst part is that it cost me $134.
Nice car wash, well kept and clean. But the sign says open at 8 am the web site says open at 8 am the answering machine says open at 8 am, but there we were 6 cars in the line up and the guy walks up at 8:20 saying they don't open till 8:30....... GET OUT OF BED BUDDY!!!!! and run your business like you care.
By far one of the most expensive washes in Edmonton. Ten dollars bought just enough time to be almost clean and still not rinse off. Place is covered in signs saying you must always be in use, and you cannot use the foam brush if you are not activated at the time. Foam brush comes out extremely slowly.
I always enjoy washing my own vehicle (versus auto-wash drive throughs). The fact that I can swipe my credit card and wash away in peace without interrupting the process is superb. It is usually not terribly busy, so there is very little wait time and the facility is always clean and operational.
They charged my master card 2x 30$ I called numerous times I only used 17 dollars they said give it a few days it has been 2 weeks I was also told the boss will contact me bother. Do Not use your credit card! Still can't believe they're okay charging 60$ after I told them so many times :(
I have been to this car wash many times and have always been satisfied with the availability of bays, pressure on the sprayer and all the other modes the car wash offers. The only thing I wish was a bit better was the vacuum. Some are less suction than others or is a bit loose due to use.
Prices have felt like they have gone up lately, not even 1$ per minute, it was 2$ for 1:50 minutes. 5 to 10 seconds of which are waiting for the button selection to be recognized to start spraying. And the credit machines don't charge you for exact use, they round up no matter what.
(good) Very clean & bright. (good) Good location. (bad) Water is barely warm. (bad) Hardly any soap in the water for soap mode. (bad) Not enough foam in foam brush mode. (bad) 15.00 to wash 3 week old van & lots of elbow grease. Hope management fixes the issues. Not a good value.
Great facility, decent time. Only bad thing is the buttons. Sometimes they don't work. And when you run out of time, you add money and you have to make a selection again, it doesn't remember what you had selected previously. Only takes seconds, but still a waste for the customer.
went during winter to wash the car and you need to be careful exiting as there are 2 concrete medians along the exit that when its snows you cant see them and they are the full length of the car so if you turn right or left too soon you will damage your rims on your car.
It's nice a bright in here and the prices are decent. The workers keep the place clean. My only complaint is that there isn't enough pressure and I can usually see dirt after I rinse that I can wipe off with my hand so then I have to scrub with the foam brush.
Very clean and well kept. Bays are always being washed between vehicles. Cash machine by the exit door, the staff will also do cash back at the till. Staff are very friendly and professional, it's a nice change from most carwashes in the city.
Always nice and clean and bright. The staff squee gee the floors of the bays after every car. Foam brushes are always cleaned as well, so less of a scratching risk. Vacuum and blower in each bay. Reasonable pricing. This is my go to place.
Worst car wash ever. Stay away . The machine start counting before starts and its 2 dollars everytime you let it stop, so either way you half way clean your car in a rush or spend 10 dollars. Also staff is very rude. Not coming back ever.
Love this car wash. Uses credit card, don’t have to worry about having cash which is a plus. I also love how they have a green and red light outside to let you know if there’s room inside, unlike other car washes I’ve been to.
This has been my go to car wash for years now, bays are always clean and the prices are still reasonable. There usually is not a wait time, in the event there wash is busy the waits are pretty minimal with all of their bays.
I visited first time on 18th February. I used $9 but my credit card charged $30. Since then waiting them correct this mistake. Overall clean place and the washing system is in good condition. ----The problem solved. Thanks.
One of the best car washes in Edmonton. Nice and bright place, with all the equipment working very well. The team working at the car wash are excellent at keeping the place very clean. I would not hesitate going back again!
Soap is horrible, and wand pressure is very lacking. Barley even leaned my car and in even that dirty... price wasn't too bad... I feel I need to wash my car again. Unfortunately I will not go back to this establishment.
Nice number of washing options to choose from and the facility is always well kept. Water pressure and temperature are great, and has a fair amount of bays. Has a spacious parking lot for hand drying your vehicle.
Great place for hand washing your vehicle with large bay that fits a truck no problem. The price is a little high for a hand wash service but with only automatic car washes near it, it's still cheaper for better.
Clean car wash facility in Callingwood. The control buttons on the payment interface were difficult to press, so they received a few extra dollars because the system didn’t acknowledge my stop request.
Best car wash in the city. We take our trucks there all the time. Tons or room and love the automatic machines. Swipe the credit card and go until your done. Well run and always clean, great owners.
A great little car wash in the community. Can pay with credit card right at your "bay". The owners are kind people. It is bright, they keep it clean and there is lots of room getting in and out.
Debit/Credit machine barely works only way it works is if you have google pay or any of the phone payments makes it very frustrating waiting in the vehicle trying to figure it out.
Didn't have to wait long to get in. Entrance is bit on the smaller side for trucks. Place was very clean. Did a quick clean just to wash some of the dirt off for $6, it was decent.
The car wash machines work great lots of functions and psi in wands. Only thing is the water isn't as hot as I think it should be and the caretakers could be a little friendlier.
Very rude staff. This is the first time I encounter a Filipino person who is so arrogant! Filipinos are usually friendly and approachable. This guy do not know customer service.
There are always people keeping the place very clean. Bays are wider then most and well lit. Every tool works when I go there. The foaming brush is a little light on the suds.
Staff is friendly. Its a bit pricey to wash a car though. Recommend to go to there before 2pm during the week. It's way too busy on weekends and have to wait quite long.
Great as always. Wait times are never bad. Bays are kept clean, employees are efficient and professional. Sometimes pay machines don’t work but otherwise no complaints.
This is the only car wash I will go to. They are constantly cleaning it so you're not slipping on others people mud, it is so well lit, and good value for your money.
I found this carwash to be pricey for a do it yourself carwash. Bring loonies or twoies if you want to keep the price down. Using your credit card can add up quickly.
Well kept, service is great. Might be time for an update on some of the equipment. Be nice. Aside from that, if you need your vehicle washed, it's a 'diy' car wash.
Excellent carwash. The pressure is good, there is adequate soap. I love the triple soap feature. The rates are reasonable. And have better lighting then most.
It's good but it seems to be more expensive these days. I used to be able to rinse my car for about $5, I barely finished last time. It's clean though
Im very pleased to see that there is an excellent car wash near my new place! I love it here! Great value clean stalls, friendly people. Its great!
I used $5.30 they have charged me $30.00 on my credit card . I have asked them to correct it or send me a credit So we will see what happens
Great place overall but the timer starts before you push the button and before you get a chance to spray. However, I would come back again.
Well kept, always cleaning the bays once the previous vehicle leaves. Bright with lots of space. Very friendly staff. Great car wash.
Great and super helpful staff. Although a bit too cramped at the entrance and inside. It becomes a chore to reverse the car and exit
Tied for the worst car wash I've been to. Cost double and my truck isn't even clean. Save your money and go to automatic car wash.
This is my new favorite place to wash my car. The only thing I dislike is sometimes the coins don't work in the machines.
One of the better car washes in the Edmonton area. Bays are always clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
One of the best self car wash that I found. Lots of space and ample room. Bright light and water pressure is strong.
Very clean and staff are attentive and always cleaning. Great hours as well. I always bring my car for a wash here.
Friendly staff who are always cleaning. Fast, clean and bright. Water pressure is great. Keep up the great service
Hello people a hidden gem not to busy YET tons a room around my big truck and the wash time best to none. Regards
Well kept and everything works. Very conveniently located. I have a large truck and it fits in bays properly.
Line moves quickly. Bays are well maintained. Staff is courteous and diligent about keeping the area tidy.
This carwash is always clean and well taken care of by staff. It's up to date and the machines work well.
Great service. Self washing of your vehicle. $2 per min, but I find the $2 to be a bit on the high side.
Awesome place and I like the newer set up and change machine . Very affordable to clean your vehicle.
Absolutely amazing. Bright, clean, friendly staff, no other experience quite like this. Check it out
I am giving 3 ratings because it is bit expensive than husky and huges. Rest everything is gud.
Very clean and affordable. All the equipment is in great working order. Definitely recommend.
Good little mom-and-pop car wash... they are always there to clean up the bay's for you...
It is very terrible, I do not recommend, I’m upset and angry, Washing works very poorly
This place gives me opportunity to clean my car quickly and almost inexpensive
Indoors nice and cozy and very reasonably priced I would definitely return
Great place, good pressure. Usually busy since it also seems inexpensive.
Super clean. Nice staff. Great equipment. Perfect spot to wash your car.
Tip top place to clean your vehicle. Very well maintained and clean.
It's ok but you lose 6 seconds by the time the water starts to flow
Shared a funny moment with the guy in the store. Nice clean place.
Great wand wash, clean facility and well maintained equipment!
Always clean and well attended. Can be very busy on Saturdays
Nice and clean, all car wash elements in good working order.
Clean facility and excellent options for vehicle cleaning
Best wand wash in town. Clean and friendly atmosphere
Counted 6.3-6.8$ per washing, but charged 8$. 2 times
Great place. Very clean and staff is super friendly.
Quick, inexpensive, easy way to clean off your car.
It's my car wash, better than huges tiny cubicles,
Always clean and maintained, price is reasonable.
Good value but machines are finicky with loonies
They got the best tools in town tbh
I was in a washbay in no time
My best Place
