Shopped at home depot today in the sports arena shopping center in san diego to buy a portable air conditioner. This mall has several stores. The brand of portable air conditioner they had, only had one hose outlet going to window. Everything I've read about portable air conditioning says, if u want air conditioning to last more than a few months must buy one with 2 hoses going out window, one for bringing in air and one for blowing out hot air. Customers reviews stared that if u buy the air conditioner with only outgoing hose, the air conditioner will draw air in under your door, windows, electric outlets, etc. Plus the model from home depot is very noisy, and several customers said it broke down within a month or two and no way to get warranty to fix it. That model is the Toshiba.. I reviewed the customer satisfaction remarks about the best portable air conditioner with TWO hoses rated # 1 by home and garden , for noise, efficientcy at cooling, and many more features such as ordered adding a heppa filter cap for the incoming air from forest fire smoke. The whynter model i am buying from amazon costs a little more but will last year's longer according to the review. Plus Amazon will deliver inside the house or into one room so no heavy lifting. You have to request this type of delivery when u order it.

Shop today at Ralph’s supermarket as usual if you come early morning between 7am to 10 am your best bet to shop less foot traffic you can concentrate of what item you need your are not rush next thing you know when you get back home you realized Ophs I forget this and that, that’s what happened when you are in a rush. They have pretty good items not only that you will see all the suppliers arranging their products (Merchandiser Staff) checking on low items and replenishing new products on expired items not only that you get the fresh display on their products, I noticed all merchandiser they do restock or replenish their products in the morning not anymore at night usually. So shop early morning to avoid this Heavy foot traffics that you’ll encounter.

Very dangerous. There is a violent crime in the parking lot almost daily. My wife worked in the subway, and I've personally seen much that goes on there. I've had to pepper spray two different insane people for running up to me yelling/being aggressive. God knows why. There are a lot of mentally challenged and drug addicted people here daily. I've personally seen two stabbings, and the subway was held hostage for hours a few months back. The owner of subways car was robbed in less than10 minutes, when he ran inside the store, window broken. My wife worked there but left due to safety concerns. I wish the police would patrol here more or get here quicker when they are called. Other than that, watch yourself and your vehicle if you need to come down.

Many items were missing from the shelves. Cleanliness has gotten worse. The 99 cents store used to have great prices. You guessed it, 99 cents for almost everything. You had to pick through produce and watch expiration dates, but you knew what you were going to pay. My kids called it "The Mom Can Say Yes Store". Not any more. Suddenly almost half of the items are equal to or sometimes higher than I would pay at Fry's. If prices don't drop again they will loose someone who generally spent $300.00+ per month. Fix your prices or change your name.

We went to this mall on Veterans Day to explore a bunch of stores prior to heading to an ice hockey game, which was honoring the military and family. I attended as a proud Air Force member and had a great time with my family. When I arrived back at the car, it had been towed along with many of my military comrades. To add insult to this, we were not only charged for the tow but had to pay extra ($390 total) due to it being a public holiday to honor the military. Maybe consider when it might be more appropriate to issue a warning or fine.

Rudest manager and cashier and did so much funny business with my card and order had to leave and they were swearing complaining and awful awful.i hope the managers see this review and watch the tapes and see the hustle they are trying and fire immediately.so sorry I usually won't say negative but they had me to tears. Security was nice but didn't care let a man get hostile and a shelf stocker came to rescue I had to chime in to divert attention and help coerce the guy to leave

I always enjoy shopping at Ralph but when I ask for help they can't seem to help . They send you to another person where the line is 5 to 6 people deep and to top it off she has no one at her register because she is at the self checkout which is where I was. Anyway help at the registers is the worst of the store they don't smoke don't greet you or offer you any kind of assistance. And when ask for help they look for a way to pass you off, it sucks!!

Received prompt attention from Brad who very quickly processed my return. I was giving him a bit if a hard time about a restocking fee and a manager interjected and explained the policy and was helpful as well. They seem to know their policies here and both employees I spoke with were helpful. Restocking fee still applied but it isn't arbitrary and they were understanding. The location seemed clean and it was easy to get in and out of.

Great little nook in the cranny of Rosecrans and Midway. Great diverse selection of food venues from del taco and in n out to diverse and not so common food spots like l and l Hawaiian bbq, ahipoke and that one Noodle joint ( sorry I always forget the name of the place BUT NEVER...EVER EVER EEEVEEEER!!!... Forget the great food. Come to think of it....the food is so good it's give me amnesia!!

It's a very nice outdoor plaza spread out over a large area which provides a ton of available parking and close to the shops you desire to go to on that particular visit. Clean and modern with eateries from fast foods to nice sit down excellent restaurants of all types. It boasts retailers from small specialty shops all the way up to the largest superstores like Home Depot, Target and Office Depot.

  • Valerie G

I usually like ralphs but this particular location doesn't provide courtesy cards for the reasonable pricing. I completely wasted 30 mins of my time when I was in a hurry and tried to get a little shopping done between appointments. Had to walk out, leave my groceries and rush to my next appointment. The Manager who made that policy decision should have his head checked. Lose lose situation.

I went here with friends with high expectations and it delivered. We first stopped at The Habit Burger and we were amazed. Excellent food and excellent prices. I got there classic char burger and it was amazing. The milkshakes there are also really good, I recommend the chocolate one. Next we went to Target which had great selection and prices. I got a pound of bubble gum for two dollars!

  • Matthew “Mad Matt” Walsh

Great stores to shop from. Thrift to big box in this area. Also great places to eat including vegan options as well. I like the burgers in this area Habit Burger is near by. Also Soma club for night time concerts. On the weekends the swap meet is around with more bargins. So shopping and eating and just trolling around here is a good place to do it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

What a great location for convenient shopping, this center is located between two busy streets (Sports Arena Blvd. and Midway Drive). This is a neighborhood shopping spot for me. Lots of different outlets for food shopping, household goods, banking, pet store, and lumber. It's all here. There is plenty of parking, well lit, clean, and good security.

  • Mark Bell

How was Sports Arena Shopping Center? It was like being locked in a urinial on monday morning, in a Mexican stadium after a soccer riot! Haha. It's a shopping center. They have things. I have money. I give them money. They give me things. Everyone's happy. What else can I say? I'm mostly British, I've gotta scale it down a bit.

  • daniel lefevre

Great place with so much going on! Weekends are best with the swap meet and most every store you need is there with the items you need and things you never knew existed. Parking is good, getting to and from isn't as bad as other shopping areas.one of the few places I look forward to visiting and doing my shopping.

  • Sean Anonymouse

This is usually a great location that I go to three or four times a week. Because of the parking situation or lack thereof, I have to alter my shopping arrangement. I'll have to try to remember to avoid shopping there during the day. The store closes at 1 a.m, so that gives me plenty of time at night to shop.

  • Daniel Conley

Five star location and amenities. However One Star for being TERRIFYINGLY overrun by homeless. I don’t feel safe shopping there as I feel we deserve as local residents, shoppers, patrons and employees. I don’t want to see this city turn into San Francisco and scare away our critical business.

  • Elizabeth Sugiyama

I actually just went to Home Depot to pick up my online purchase, so my experience is minimal. The customer service and the reps are pros when it comes to dealing with angry patrons (not me!). I was in and out in 8 minutes. Oh yeah, the parking lot has a lot of potholes so enter with caution.

  • Andria Duran

Way to busy not because of the holidays. But because there was a concert across the street. There is no longer parking enforcement, they really need to reconsider because it took 10 mins to find parking because they were all taken for the concert and not for the businesses in the center.

  • Kelsey Looman

They offer a lot here but there is a large number of homeless around the entrances of the stores and such. It makes it hard to bring your kids or go shopping alone without feeling uncomfortable. I walked from our hotel to Target alone and was catcalled, touched and abruptly spoken to.

  • Mad Habitz

I haven't been down to Sports Arena Shopping Center in quite a few years. It seems to me as if they have cleaned up the area rather well. I went to the Home Depot to do some shopping and the staff was very courteous and professional. I think I might be doing more shopping there soon.

  • Serkan Otsuz

Best price nice place. Great location! Great staff! My go to for in and out shopping and clean as well! Love this place! Great prices and selection. So many ways to get in and out of the area which is very convenient when you want to avoid the main Street that gets backed up at times.

  • Ronald House

I have been a regular Vons grocery shopper and I recently moved to Point Loma. I have been shopping at Sports Arena Ralphs and am very happy with the change. Huge difference in selection. The store is exceptional clean, the employees are friendly and helpful. I will never go back.

  • D.

If you’re just needing to run in and grab a couple things it’s ok. It’s not the best area. Almost everything is behind glass in target. So it’s a huge pain the neck to find someone to help, then stand there while they act like I’m putting them out to help me.

  • Doris Newton-Skinner

So easy to get in and out if you use the self checkout, it may take longer to go through the regular checkout line. But the employees are super friendly so it is worth the wait time. The store is very clean and it is easy to find what you are looking for.

  • Lows

This was a great place once. Now it sucks so bad. It used to be stocked with vendors. It took me a while to walk around. Now you can walk it in no time. Its a shell of its former self. Sad. Go to the Spring Valley Swapmeet, and tell me Kobeys dont suck.

  • James Jenkins

I only live around the corner so I am a frequent shopper here! I know most of the cashiers and other employees although they probably don't really know my name I do know theirs. Its a great place to buy your groceries ! Thank you RALPH'S …

  • PunkRockTammy Caudillo

It's pretty clean pretty cool people but good God don't ask someone for a jump because it's going to be a good weight until you run into someone that's cool that will actually do it for you cuz they're a little sneaky and over there

  • Jaci Gibson

Stores there are striving to control the homeless and provide additional security for the patrons. Actually had a super nice security guard check on me while I was waiting with our trikes while my daughter shopped …

  • Ben Landers

Great location! Great staff! My go to for in and out shopping and clean as well! Love this place! Great prices and selection. Definitely on my top 3 for savings and quality! Produce is ACTUALLY FRESH! WONT DISAPPOINT

  • Todd K.

By far one of my favorite shopping centers. Clean, up kept modern perfect location for all your daily needs.. Only draw back are the panhandlers asking you for money or smokes, who are mostly courteous and respect.

  • Gregory Mendenhall

It the workforce that's always so Awesome. The store is grate but the people working there are the backbone of what make this particular store a great place to shop for all your home improvement needs. Let do Thi6

  • Brian Lauer

Ralph is great open late always need clean fast check out lots of products pretty much anything you want in a wide array of things in their miscellaneous aisles friendly staff clean bathrooms good spot to shop.

  • Isaac A

A little bit of everything in this shopping center and surrounding area. Just don’t take your chances parking here for a Sports Arena event. They will tow, and in the end you won’t have saved a single buck.

  • Megan Boatwright

The shopping center is always clean and plenty of security around there's plenty of stop signs so don't worry you won't go fast. Just watch out for all of the homeless that are propagating there.

  • Jesse Watson

They have a vehicle towing scheme going on here, stealing customer's vehicles. Make sure you don't park where there's open parking, only in the busy open lots or else they'll tow your vehicle.

  • Zeke Wheeler

I like Ralph's, Target and Home Depot in this busy shopping center. All three places are clean, well stocked and have most items needed by most families. Great location with lots of parking!!

  • J Bauer

You can get good deals here. Just be sure to check the expiration dates. Some of them are just a week out. If tou plan on using whatever you buy there within a week or two you will be good.

  • Michelle B

Area is really neat and clean on the outside. So many ways to get in and out of the area which is very convenient when you want to avoid the main Street that gets backed up at times.

  • Scott Conners

Its got everything you need consolidated in one plaza with plenty of parking. Also located within walking distance are restaurants offering just about every cuisine available.

  • Toni Hook

Shady at night. Born and raised in SoCal. Moved 3 years ago and was visiting for a wedding in San Diego. Stopped by at night to grab something...did not feel comfortable.

  • john travis hale

I almoSt never come here and only do when I help a friend run errands. The parking is hectic and cramped, crowed and homeless and thieves wonder checking car doors.

  • Michael Meeks

Very busy and outside of the target, we're 2 homeless people fighting and harassing customers as they enter or leave the store. Very uncomfortable situation.

  • Steven Grider

Went to Vons to get some stuff I don't normally get in my regular grocery buying place needless to say they didn't have what I looked for either

  • joseph zimmerman

Customer service here is great every time, I always have a great time having help from Desiree she's always so helpful and in a great mood.

  • Raul Vargas

It is crowded at times, parking is difficult for such a big shopping center. I go mainly to Target. Ross is another good store over there.

  • Ronnie Williams

Visited home depot and found there is a nothing bundt cakes there. Who knew? Got two mini bundt cakes while I was there. Excellent cakes.

  • Doug St

Good place to hit up Target for your random needs, then Old Navy for some new clothes, then get some Chick-Fil-A across the street.

  • Jaden T

Very nice. Was glad it was open at a later hour. We had picked up my son from the airport and he needed to get food for his Airbnb

  • Carl Todd Jr

I love Sports Arena Blvd so much you have absolutely no idea! If they gave me my own bathroom I'd live there for reals LOL …

  • John W

For a shopping center, it's easier to deal with than most, and with the anchor stores there you can always find what you need.

  • T-Cat Seek

The outdoor staff are very understanding about making us move on if we are eating just purchased food from Ralphs or Target.

  • Jacquelyn Rockholt

Parking wasn't easy and the parking lot was really busy. As for trash, there wasn't a lot around in the parking lot.

  • Jamie Mcgaster

Love the hidden gems. Take your time and really look around. This may be a small flea market but it packs in a lot.

  • John Olson

Love the convenience of lots of driveways to enter on from Sports Arena Blvd and a Wells Fargo drive thru ! YAAAA!

  • Jacquelyn Rockholt

Plenty of parking. Visited one of the seasonal stores but was impressed with the cleanliness of the parking lot.

  • Heming Diep

Saw someone smoking at a tweak pipe right outside the store. Crazy haha. The inside of Ralphs looked nice tho

  • Ainar Kangro

The posted hours say they close at 1AM weekdays and 12AM on Sundays but they lock the store 15 minutes prior.

  • Richard Clements

Great place was able to get in and out unfortunately home Depot sucks because they have no customer service

  • Tim Rice

Best Ralph's period. Great crew and good security considering location and current economic conditions.

  • Alexa Scia

Busy shopping center, problem is the many homeless in the area, doesn't make shopping here worthwhile

  • Jake Leeds

The homeless and junkies make this place a 2 star rating, Target now has even the basics locked up.

  • Joseph Goulart Jr

Outstanding location, but gets very busy very fast. Lots of places to visit around this location.

  • Justin E619
