PLEASE BEWARE And read I have no idea how this vet is still operating with animal cruelty and hygienic standards far below but I would expect in a concentration camp I believe this place should be shut down immediately and will be reporting on the lack of care for animals I went on Google thinking this would be a good vet How wrong I was I walked in and he was smoking inside the building And the stench went through the whole building. My wife had to stay in the car with our baby it was so bad. This I could overlook but the way he man handled the dog I wouldn't expect from a human It was inhumane and he only cared about getting his money. Our dog had an ear infection and he did not clean her ears just gave me some drops. Said it was my problem. He checked the dog and said she was not pregnant. He then carelessly gave her an injection and squeezed her. Wow he then charged 300$ He looked as though he hadn't had a shower in a couple months with no hygienic practices. How is this man a vet. I then went to another vet 3 days later and found out my dog was pregnant with 5 puppies. The injection killed all the babies and we were told he caused this .. DO NOT VISIT BY ANY MEANS Unless you want your animal to die This is complete negligence and have already seemed legal advice Do not believe scam reviews ( notice they only have 1 or 2 posts )

The good reviews on this guy has got to be fake. Went here based on reviews. Arrived to a very run down place. Upon entry was greeted to a strong overbearing stench of cigarette and a loud TV going off in the background… was i at the vet or at the reception of some old stingy motel?? After ringing the cow bell at the front counter a man eventually came. His fingers were permanently stained yellow which solved the mystery of the cigarette smell and his single use mask was no longer white but instead brown. The attitude and persona of this man was very rude, abrupt and off putting however due to reading some of the reviews of him being “old school” and the urgency of the visit this was put aside The way he handled my dog though was appalling. For a vet that has over 35 years experience he was rough rude and was definitely not interested in the dog. He provided the wrong diagnosis and also did very little to treat the problem. He is overpriced, unhygienic, unprofessional and incorrect I do not see a passion there for animals if there ever was one it was very evidently gone a very long time ago Please do your pet a favour and do not go here. If you Think this is a one off bad review then please see the warning signs of cigarette dirtiness and arrogance and leave before he treats your pet. This guy should not be in business

I rated this a one star, but if there was an option I'd rate this with zero. This has to be the worst vet in Australia. I brought my dog here a while ago, she unfortunately passed away under Barry's care. Upon visitation of my dog in the clinic, I had walked in on Barry having a cigarette in the room of where all the sick animals were kept. He had told me that he had put my dog on a drip, as she was suspected of having gastro. During inspection of my dog, she had no drip or evidence of drip sites even being there. Then denied even telling me over the phone that he had put her on a drip. He apparently was tube feeding her yogurt, which she obviously wasn't tolerating due to the suspected gastro. And just the way he handled her was very rough, not the way you'd expect someone who works with animals to act. Do not go here. There are plenty other local vets within the area that are empathetic towards animals and their owners.

Our puppy arrived to us with Parvo on Christmas, we called Barry to clarify some things on the vaccine slip because it was not only illegible but filled out incorrectly. Barry proceeded to be unnecessarily rude and dismissive to my partner. He never recorded the batch numbers of the vaccine so we have no idea if it was even administered. I would not trust this man with any of my animals and judging by our experience I would not be surprised if my puppy contracted parvo from this practice. The dates line up. I will be taking this further. Thanks Barry

The briefest, rudest phone manner I have experienced in my 63 years. And I worked the phones for 40 years professionally. Care factor of zero given when I politely enquired about a lost kitten and was told abruptly "So what!?" and "What do you want me do do about it?". You can have another review like this for starters and hopefully take it in to consider a fresh change of attitude and look at your regard to gain some professionalism, if at all possible.

Long standing clinic with original owners still practicing as a family business. The practice is clean and original and has a homely appearance. It’s not modern and cold, and you aren’t just a number. Barry has many many years of experience in small animal care and gives a no frills approach which gets straight to the point and you don’t leave feeling like you had been bamboozled into a whole bunch of things you don’t understand.

I drive from the lower north shore to see Barry. His 45+ years experience shows when he is able to examine and know what the problem is for my cats without having to always rely on expensive pathology and tests. If you want someone who loves animals and knows his art, Barry is it. He only recommends what is necessary. If you're after three times the expense and the latest fad, go elsewhere.

Absolutely disguated at the way this guy treats animals. ☹️ Overpriced and a complete disregard for animal welfare. I really hope that for every animal that has been mistreated by this guy that he will suffer the same pain. Do not smoke where sick animals are. This guy obviously lost his a passion for animals a long time a go. Please everybody report this bloke

Should have done this months ago but did not realise Barry had a web site. Wonderful easy to understand old school vet. I have called on his services several times and always been happy with the treatment of my 5 fur babies . Including the removal of our Lilly’s back leg. I now recommend him to all our friends.

Barry was great with my cat.he was so comfortable with him that he didn't fight back. the greatest thing is that Irang Barry an he said bring him in without an appointment where others didn't want to see him unless he had one. He might be old school but he cares about our best friends.

Thanks to Barry for the short notice appointment, my dog Sheka has responded well to treatment for her throat. She is drinking and eating a lot better now. Barry was very friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend his service to all pet lover's. Thanks again Barry. Jaime & John

So happy I found this lovely vet. He cares about his patients and putting their hoomans at ease. This vet will be the only vet we go to. Friendly, caring and a nice man. He’s also open on sundays. Always puts my mind at ease when it comes to my pets.

We had a devastating decision to put our elderly dog down. Vet was so gracious by fitting us in even though he was super busy.
