"This is such an unexpected little treasure of a place it is clean simple and shows how an area can be reclaimed and looked after if councils use their facilities properly it is a very sweet little area with lovely look outs and if you're a geocacher come looking! :-)"
"Easily accessible off the Torrens Linear trail, the billabong itself was underwhelming as the wetlands regeneration was ongoing at the time of writing"
Local rumours have it that in 1971, during a wild and stormy night, an unidentified object plunged in the depths of the billabong. Now, with the aid of state-of-the-art sonographic equipment, I have discerned the origins of this object. Concerned by the exponential increase in radioactive possum sightings in the area, my studies have revealed that space junk from the former Soviet Russia’s now defunct nuclear satellite program has infiltrated the waterway. To test this theory, I recently plunged myself into the very heart of the billabong. Two weeks later, I can now toast a baguette with my eyeballs, perform Jedi mind tricks on cats and squat jump over a small two bedroom villa (single story only). At the rate I am evolving I will soon be unstoppable.
What an amazing place this is!! An oasis (Billabong) so close to the heart of the city. You barely hear any traffic noise and it's just a wonderful serene spot where I sat on the sun overlooking the Billabong, listening to birds and ducks and hearing splashes in the water. Those houses that look down and into this place are truly blessed. I will definitely be returning when I need to centre myself again.
Beautiful area away from roads. Can take dogs off leash under supervision. There's water, piccnic tables, a BBQ and toilet facilities next to a well maintained large oval and great walks around the Torrens River area. Just take caution at the water's edge. The curious pup took an unplanned dip!

Easily accessible off the Torrens Linear trail, the billabong itself was underwhelming as the wetlands regeneration was ongoing at the time of writing. It is surrounded by a large tract of open land undoubtedly perfect for a picnic on less hellish days
Beautiful green patch with a lake fed from underground streams, right in the middle of the busy St. Peters area of Adelaide, very good for light forest trekking, cycling, picnics and flora-fauna hunting.
Very picturesque and peaceful. Just lay back and enjoy the tranquil sounds of nature and the sound of running water as you lose yourself in the moment it's hard to believe your so close to the cbd.
An amazing place. It is hard to believe that you are so close to Adelaide CBD. A lovely vibe here, I'll be back.

Terrible smells and alot of rubbish in the river...for such an up market area where most of the locals look down on the lower class such as my self I expected more
I stumbled upon this place by accident, but am looking forward to heading back more, it feels a bit apart from everything else, a nice place to pause in your walk.
A nice area for a stroll or exercise. A grassed area for families or play. There are stairs from Eighth Ave which are stone, these are a little uneven and steep.
A beautiful and tranquil place for a walk. There is an oval here to exercise dogs off the leash, a bbq area for lunch, and a playground. Worth a visit
Nice place and just behind the trail. Good walking as well

Lovely place that is an off leash area with dog water and public toilets available, there is also a little BBQ area with seating and tables.
You can recreate this experience in your living room if you kidnap 12 ducks and leave a hose on overnight and have good insurance.
One of the best bits of Adelaide's wonderful Linear Park. We really don't make a big enough noise about how good Linear Park is.
Was good but need to improve in the stuff

Nice park and great place to read a book. The billabong itself would be nicer after a good hard rain. Needs a good flush out
Was just a dried out lake. Signs were interesting and full of history. Good spot for picnic but pretty boring really.
A jewel of Adelaide... nice to see so many birds in there, always nice to have a walk or a picnic!
Great place for a stroll. Lots of critters to entertain the kids. Bit of a dragonfly sanctuary.
Really good place to visit, walk dog on/off leash & picnic. St Peter's bakery in near by
Sad to see the mess that's been made of what should be a beautiful nature reserve.
Beautiful billabong, nice place to relax, watch the birds, reading and photograph
Nice trails and walk around the River, couple of wetlands and good cricket ground
Wild billabong, natural area, can see some birds, small amount of polluted wated
A great place to recharge and restore; a mental and physical health oasis.
Recently refurbished Cricket pitch, large area for kids to run around
Love this park. Can't wait til they've finished the access upgrades.
