Yesterday, I went to print something at Staples. I asked an employe named Tanya for help. She refused while she wasn't serving any customers. I asked her. : "You can't or are you purposely not helping me. She answered deliberately: "I am not" and she stated : "even that Senior customer can do it, so just do it yourself." When I asked her for the manager, she didn't even try to change her attitude and she even spelled out her name from her name tag. When the manager, Roger, arrived I explained the situation. He didn't even approach her about it and proposed to help me instead. I told him : "you are the manager, so, I expected you to talk to her and ask her if she really refused to help me". He told me it was none of my business and that's between the two of them . I said it was her job to help me cause she works in that departement and the customer's money pay her salary. I asked Tanya outloud, : "did you not say you are not helping me? Please answer right now, cause you might say something else when I am gone. She looked at him and then told me : "I am not answering your question". Then Roger added that if I don't want him to help me, I would have to leave without my things printed. Few minutes before the problem, I overheard a conversation between them. She took a shipping box from a customer that was over the weight limit. That same guy, Roger, saw the box and said : "Tania, Tania, Tania be careful please, this is over 30 lb and the customer already left. We are not suppose to accept it" . He was talking to her with a soft voice then she answered him : "this is going to stay between the two of us anyway " and she was smiling. When I was in my car, I was thinking about what just happened to me and it was hard to believe. Then I started to think about that little scene betwen those two. Which made me understand what was going on and why she shamelessly told me to go see the manager that she doesn't care at all. As a customer I don't think their "going to stay between the two of us" gives her the right to mess with customers.

Tried to get photos digitized. Was promised 3-5 business days after mentioning I need them before June 1. I return after 5 days and they say my photos are at their hub, being processed, and that it will take "weeks". To the sales person's credit, she emailed the hub to ask for a rush order. The hub emails back later that day to say they can't do that, so they provided me with another option - send the photos back to the store to do them there. I confirm it will still be within the timeline I need it in (before June 1), and they agree it will be. Fast forward to today: I call them to check that my photos have arrived at the store and are being worked on. They say they should be receiving them today, and after confirming a third time that they can complete it within the week they suddenly say they may not be able to. Low and behold, they call back this afternoon and say they "definitely can't" - and that's after leaving me on hold for 10 minutes and switching me from one sales rep to another which meant I took valuable time out of my day to explain my issue twice. I finally get frustrated enough that I just come by the store this evening to pick up my photos and get a refund. It took 5 associates standing around my order to figure out how to even refund me. Eventually I get to the cash, and 10 minutes later I have my money back. I thought I was in the clear to leave, until I look up and see the sales person hasn't given me my original photos back. I ask for them and he looks confused about what I'm asking for. I could not have been any clearer - I just wanted my photos back, which - by the way - are original, precious family photos I entrusted them with. The logistics of this store are abysmal and I will not be returning.

Kat went above and beyond to provide me with the business service I needed. I tried to get some booklets printed and the online website / chat service was really slow and confusing. Especially since my project was a highly custom design. I decided to go into the store and ask for assistance there. Having gone to previous Staples stores for business I was expecting to encounter inexperienced print - staff that would tell me something along the lines of not knowing how to print this specific requirement and would've been asked to contact them by phone / online. This was not the case with Kat. She took initiative, uploaded my order, set me up an account, all in a professional and fast manner. I felt like the time that I spent there was efficient and on-point. My project is currently being processed according to my deadline and I am very grateful to this store. My business requires a lot of printing orders and usually I would use online print stores but with such service sometimes we forget what's important in human interactions. Printed things are tangible and sometimes it's better to pass on the feel of the project to those willing and responsible. I say Thank You!

My only experience here is trying to use the UPS Drop Off, which I found at the print shop counter. I will NEVER take a UPS package here or anything else! The staff at the drop off desk do not understand UPS shipping labels and how to handle them. On 2 March mid-day I took a parcel with a printed UPS label for an item I sold to ship to Europe. The label has the commercial invoice and customs data entered and handled electronically as indicated on the label. Staff there SCANNED it in then said they could not accept without 3 copies of the commercial invoice, which is nonsense. After arguing with me and not understanding this, told me to take to the UPS Store, who confirmed the label is fine, and it has the commercial invoice handled electronically (hence the "EDI" indication), but they could not take it as it has already been scanned and is in the system as sitting at the drop off! Wasted hours with UPS to no avail to find out how to ship. Eventually had to ship by a more expensive alternative. Big waste of time and money and massive aggravation thanks to their incompetence! 1 star is way too much. Stick to selling office supplies or printing photocopies please!

WORST customer service ever. Steve(one of the managers) refused to return a product that I specifically asked the cashier if I could return before I bought since I was trying out cordless earphones. The Cashier said to me that I could return them within 30 days if I did not like them. Steve said to me "all my associates are trained to let customers know that you can't return earphones". This is not the case because clearly someone missed that session & it was particularly insulting because I am 1000% sure I asked before making the purchase. Also, one other manager had said it could be returned given THEIR error. But Steve who had to give the code would not. I can now relate to the people who say "if I could give zero stars I would".

I went to this location for a drop off for FedEx. I entered the store 9 mins before close time and honestly I didn't feel welcomed. I could tell the staff wasn't happy to see me enter but I had no choice I had to do a drop off. For my drop off I was instructions said that I will get a free packing box to drop off my phone as I was shipping it back to Samsung. I showed it to the guy at the front desk he just ignored and said I have to purchase one so it wasn't something I was going to argue about. I just bought the $5 packet as I know it was closing time and I had no choice . So just that I probably will not be returning to the location until there is a dire need that I cant go to any other staples location.

My experience that this location and the quality of my order was extremely poor. I am not impressed! I ordered photos that will be featured in my wedding. One photo I received had a empty pixel in the center of it! It is very obvious that no one looked at the quality of the photo once it came out of the printer. I paid for this photo and then had to pay to get it redone else where. In addition, the individual who handed me my order didn't allow me the opportunity to bring this to their attention. The staff member handed me my packages and walked away. "You can look at them if you want" they said nonchalantly as they walked away. Very poor customer service.

I was there on November 3rd in the evening. I watched an elderly man with a handful of change and what looked like some important forms stand at the counter of the print station asking for a photocopy and the man working behind the counter blew him off because he was too busy with fedex stuff. Meanwhile other people came in and went to the print counter and the other associate helped him no problem. There is some serious training issues here. It upset me to see an elderly person treated so poorly when they clearly needed help. If an old man can't get photocopies at Staples of all places, where is he supposed to go?

Went with a friend. Friend had a photocopy job to get done, I wanted to print photos. Store was empty yet we had to ask repeatedly and wait quite a while for service. My friend was very rudely told she couldn't get the very same job she gets done every 3 months at the Kanata location done. I got no help at all. We spoke to the manager who did exactly... Nothing. But we did find the only other customer in the store! Talking to the manager ahead of us, making a complaint! Pretty useless location, better off going to one of the others. Unless you like rude staff and being ignored.

Don't go by their web sight! I needed to get a new printer the sight said the one I wanted was not in stock,I would have to order it for delivery! Didn't have time to wait so went in to see what they had. And guess what was right on their shelves,just the one I had asked for & told it was not available I also called before I went in and asked them for some other info which turned out to be incorrect! Not very impressed with the info they give out. But at least the products are good and the indoor staff are polite & helpful!

While in your store looking for colored chalk, Jackie who was busy with stocking the shelf ask if I needed some help. She then accompanied me to the isle with the chalk. I took the only box left. She told me that a replacement order usually follows. Once at the cash counter I was told that Jackie had found more boxes in the back room, which means she left her normal routine to check and let the cashier know before I had left the store. I appreciate her efforts since she knew it was important to me. Thanks Jackie. From Denis

The staff looks unpleasant and not welcoming to people walking into the store. Literally no one is willing to help people struggling especially in print area. Had visit recently and experienced the same pathetic customer service. We were waiting in a queue for almost 2 hours to scan and a guy walks in and told us to leave since they have to close the store. The customer in front of us was struggling to scan and no one cares to come and help out while they were asking people to leave the premises. ATROCIOUS!!

I had a ups pickup notice at my doorstep. I came to here to pick up my package after 3 days. They did not handle the package to me even though I showed them my ID. They told me that the package is not there and they were not able to provide the information where my package is. They told me that I should contact UPS myself. But, you are the customer service and you should do your job and provide the tracking information. The package should have been there for 7 days.

Copy centre takes forever - for some reason everyone else in line was helped before me (even people who came after). Very poor customer service. Update: went to pick up my order and it was done incorrectly (it was done ‘portrait’ and not ‘landscape’ as I clearly stated when dropping off). Now I have to drive back and forth to get it reprinted and rebound because directions were not followed. Zero stars

This location hired very unprofessional staff. I asked for the receipt for my shipping packages and they don't know how print it or email it to me. At the end they just started giving excuses why they are not able to give me receipt for my packages. Guys if you don't want to work at the workplace, please sit at home.

I came here to take pictures with my gf for passeport, but the cashier called ''Kevin'' was so rude and it seems like he hates his job so he takes his anger on customers. The pictures we took were dark and weren't accepted from IRCC. I am never coming back to this location.

They always refuse to print out a receipt for FedEx drop off, all other branches they easily doing that in less than a minute, even takes a few seconds. Half an hour Waiting for the manager to help, even refused to print out a receipt, Very bad customer service.

Had a poster custom print order to make costing 100$ and tried to call multiple times to get some assistance with the dimensions, no answer, and the one time there was an answer the person hung up on me. Won't be going to this location anymore.

Great place to drop out dated electronics and batteries. The only problem was that the loading dock was not available so I had to carry 8 large boxes and an old tv into the store from the parking lot. I'm eighty five so it was a hard job.

Savan was very helpful in finding my UPS package that had been dropped off, and he is a credit to the store for that reason. The other employee who I had been dealing with beforehand was a disgrace.

I dropped of an Amazon return at the USPS counter 2 weeks ago. The guy scanned it in but it never got thete. They never gave me a receipt or anything so I guess I'm out of luck. Nice job staples.
