I recently went here to purchase toner and accidently purchased the drum instead which is twice as much $$ as the toner and has a "D" in the product code instead of a "T" which is the only difference of the 2 boxes. I returned the same day and the manager Jamie refused to take the return. I advised him it didn't say that on the receipt and he said it was online. He also mentioned this happens once a month so staples knows it's an issue and just keeps taking peoples $140 (So $140 x 12 =$1680 annually from each store adds up). So a few days later I check Staples website and it is not on there at all so I returned to the store and spoke to Jamie again who acted nothing like a manager and instead took the root of acting like a teenager being rude and saying "yeah, yeah" to anything I said proving that he wasn't even listening to me. I advised him that I have since started purchasing our small business supplies online and that my wife switched her printing services to an online company and he replied with the same rude "yeah" . He then said "what did you just come all the way over here to give me a hard time?" I had to advise him that I was actually going to CTC next door and that I stopped in to tell him that what he told me about the return wasn't accurate. If staples is wondering why their stores are empty these days they don't have to look too far. Whatever I guess, at least I don't have to drive 30 mins to staples for our business supplies anymore.

It’s so unfortunate that some of the staff at this store don’t know what they’re doing or don’t really want to do their job. I work in retail and I understand what it means to have a good customer service. So today I walked into Staples at 7:48 PM and I wanted to print a passport. As I approached one of the staff and ask them if I could get a passport photograph done and the first thing she said was ”were already closing and have a deadline to catch up with” I was shocked to such response. Mind you, I had at least 10 minutes to get this done instead of all the drama. I asked for a manager and his excuse was that the photo department closes 30 minutes before the store. Wow! However, I don’t see that on the website to spell this out. It’s either they don’t want to do my job or don’t know what to do. By the way I did mention I had just taken the same passport with the same store a week before and had it on my usb drive. I still don’t understand how closing duties supersedes customer service. Well, one thing I know is if this was your personal business you guys will go the extra mile. It’s so unfortunate. Stores like Staples was the last place I expected such from. I’m not sure I want to come back to a place like this.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never in my life experienced the level of unprofessionalism and rudeness that Nick showed me today. Nick was rude, impatient and became visibly angry as I was struggling to print out cards for an event. He would not instruct me on how to go about it but would get agitated whenever I asked for help. As a result, I had to restart my session multiple times and eventually quit trying, having not completed what I needed to do and having wasted my money. When I requested help again, he threw his hands in the air and ignored me. He is rude, aggressive and has no regard for customers. You have no idea what difficulties someone is battling yet you treat struggling customers with disdain and visible irritation. I could not believe it. It’s unfortunate that this is the only staples in my area.

Worst customer service ever If there was an option for ZERO stars I would have chosen that. Where there are printing machines, there are some supplies as well like glue, tapes, stapler. As there was none today, I asked that if they can tell me where it might have been. This guy said he will get the tape and will be back and in the meantime this lady who was super rude said that its not their responsibility to provide the supplies to which I said that I was just asking because it is always there in the area and today it wasnt and she said in a rude tone that I have to purchase one. Well two employees and two different versions of stories and understanding of your business policies. low life lady ! I wish she gets happy in her life.

Waited in line for the shipping department to ship a box. There were 3 of us in line, with me at the head of the queue and some lady called harpreet quite but ignored me,and took the guy second in line. I definitely feel some bias and inclusionary training would be in order here to say the least. Also some cross training, as I guess in fairness she was trying to help out. PerhapsI should have said something too, but it was very busy and I didn't. Even the guy 2nd in line was quite embarrassed and indicated I should go first. The lady all but ignored him and said he would be easier to deal with as he was doing a pick up. Not a great customer experience in the shipping dept. Other debts I've always found to be excellent.

I recently bought some From Kanata store. When I got home my partner said they wouldn't work because they were tinted. So I called the store and asked if they had them in clear and at the same price. The lady said yes. When I got to the store to exchange them the price for the clear ones was almost 3 times as much as the ones I was returning. I told the manager that I was told they were the same price. He was very nice and agreed to change the price of the clear ones. When I got them home we realized the clear ones were much better than the ones I had exchanged so I understand why they were so much more. I was really impressed with the manager who wanted to make their customershappy and feel comfortable.

So happy to have a Staples in Kanata that offers a wide range of office related services and products. My experience with their printing services has been very positive. I usually submit online and have sometimes called the store to get advice on which paper to use. I worked many years as a printer and have never been disappointed with quality of the print jobs I have received from Staples. Customer service from everyone in the store has always been great, and I wanted to recognize Nick who was particularly helpful today in the Solution Shop. With many stores downsizing their retail footprint, I hope the Kanata Staples will be here for many years to come. Thanks,

I went to drop off rogers equipment , employee named jawab was at the shipping department, as he saw the equipment and ask us to get the box for returning equipment and than went off from the shipping department we waited to check if he is coming back and give us a solution but never came back, so we did get a new box for the equipment and another employee came to help us, immediately he noticed our return label is from Canada Post which they don’t return at staples, i am writing the review giving 1 star as I waited for 20 mins, jawab should have looked the equipment for return at first place should have told us they cannot return Canada’s Post.

Absolute worst printing service. If you need something custom printed better off going anywhere else. The printing service department is severely understaffed. One person working on custom orders and training. Waited over an hour to place order (on the first visit) and another hour to correct a mistake they had made with my order. They do not answer their phones, current manager did not offer any compensation for mistakes and time wasted. This location needs better management and more support for understaffed workers. Printing is also overpriced. Do yourself a favour and don’t print here.

Absolutely the worst location to get any printing services. The management at this location is beyond "disgusting". They decide to put 2 unexperienced employees ( both young and really did not know what they were doing) on their own to run the whole department. The lineup was getting longer by the minute. Took over 40 mins to pick up my order of one paper !!! It's by far the worst place to get anything printed here. Would never set a foot again in this poorly run store. Ps: it is not the employees fault at all,they were nice and trying their best. I felt so bad for them

Poor customer service. Didn’t know there was a parts warranty on their own chair. Then when I finished speaking with the person getting me the replacement part, the clerk / cashier made a snarky remark then made a face at me as I started to walk away. I will no longer continue to shop at this specific location. Nor, would I feel good about recommending this location because of this. Very unfortunate as the others I dealt with here today were kind and while they were unable to assist me with my broken chair, they acted professionally unlike this ‘gentleman’.

bought some ink for a printer I bought in this store. The ink cartridge wasn't recognized by the printer so I took the the ink cartridge back to the store with the receipt in hand. They said I had opened the ink cartridge from its' packaging so they wouldn't refund the cost of the cartridge. They didn't even offer an exchange. So I said - you know that you have to take the take the ink cartridge from its' packing in order to install it...they didn't care, time to go to Amazon - no questions asked.

We used the copy machine at store #91 and selected single sided black and white. The machine charged us 5x the black and white price. We asked the cashier for a refund and got told that we must have selected colour so tough (apparently we're both liars). We still ended up with black and white copies though. To rub salt in the wound they've double charged our credit card so these copies are costing us 10x the black and white cost. The supervisor couldn't care less. It's not her money I guess.

*Threw out my property! I usually enjoy staples until today. The manager was very rude when I put an advertisement on a post in the parking lot. He asked if I had permission, I said no, he asked if I could take it down and I said yes. He proceeded to take it off himself and throw it out. These stickers are very expensive and I'm extremely frustrated that he would just throw out my property. Consifering this is how they treat customers, I'll be avoiding this staples.

Customer service has very little knowledge on products. I needed blue tooth device to answer phone calls while working as i cant work with both hands and hold a phone to my ear. I did not know what to buy and so staff sold me a pair of wireless music headphones that require both left and right pieces to be able to answer and cancel calls, store and wont let me return. No credit, no refund, sold me a product i didnt want, sol.

We went up to the counter for mail and tried to get someone's attention. We got the attention of a few employees idling in the connected area but none came to help. When we went to the print area one of the employees that had been avoiding us finally came up and told us to go wait back at the mail area. Very disrespectful in action and attitude throughout the experience.

Absolute garbage. Delayed order. No communication. Stood in store for printing for 1hr only to check back a week later with no calls for them to tell me my files never uploaded. Another 45min for them to process a refund. These are Christmas gifts. I’m not the only one in line with the same problem. Not impressed. Never going back.

We spent almost 10 CAD just for printing 1 A4 page since their printer setting was not set properly and even for A4, you need to change “default” size to “fit in the frame”! I shared my feedbacks related to the solving this wrong default printer setting, however, the responsable guy didnt care!

The worst place to get a printing job done. Placed my cards order 20 days back with a 5 day’s delivery promised. I have contacted the support multiple times, there is no tracking nor any update on where my order disappeared. Absolutely nerve wracking experience, never to step in here ever !!

This was a horrible experience. We hade staples print pictures, and they turned out VERY pixelated, and discoloured… There was also lines in the middle of the pictures… This was a waste of money and a big disappointment… overall HORRIBLE will never be printing from here again.

I know on their website that they say they do infant passport photos but they do not. They can only do children that can sit on their own on a stool. It was a huge inconvenience to pack up my infant and go to the store after checking their website only to be told no.
