My experience with Stor-Age Mount Edgecombe was awful, disappointing, and frustrating to say the least. My unit was broken into between May and June after having moved my furniture and other valuables end Feb 2023. A large 55 inch LG TV, and other electronic valuables were taken from my unit. There was no forced entry it appeared upon investigations, and after having reported the matter to the police as advised by Stor-Age management. I was advised to open the case with the police so a claim with insurance could be initiated. This process took about 6 months with back and forth as details of what was taken, proof of invoices etc, which I duly complied to and provided to management and their insurance team was forcefully required from me. 6 months later I was advised that my insurance cover did not provide for theft cover, which I found it weird as no one had brought that to my intention when I took the cover. I was told the insurance covers for 'fire and allied perils...". Surely a good sales person will explain this material fact to the client if they had to put their valuables into the storage. I then asked them that if that was the case why was I asked to put a claim of which the process in itself nearly took 6 months. No proper explanation was provided apart from saying "we just wanted you to claim from insurance" and get a formal response. What a pathetic response!! What further aggravated the experience is that no formal investigations were done by the management, CCTV are all over the premises, no feedback whatsoever was provided as to how the TV and other valuables left the building. I then escalated this to the senior management at Head Office, which also yielded zero results. I was left with no choice but to move my remaining items out of the storage in fear of further attempts to have my other items stolen. I will certainly NOT recommend Stor-Age to anyone after this dreadful ordeal. All I can say is that I am hugely disappointed in the manner in which my case was handled by both Mount-Edgecombe Stor-Age management and their Head Office Executives. What a pathetic service, dismal, and painful experience I had to endure.

If you ever want Great Professional service - Please request for Mark Adams! After several calls to Stor-age's national contact centre, I was still unable to make a decision on the storage units as result of the agents being unable to resolve my queries. I was about to go through to a completely different storage supplier, until I decided to make a call to the Mt Edgecombe facility directly. Mark had answered the call, requested information on my needs, made some logical suggestions on the size of the unit based on my needs. Once decided, he sent through the paper work immediately, kept in contact with me via whatsapp until the entire process was completed. THIS IS SERVICE!!! Well done to Mark for his OUTSTANDING willingness to help his customers. This is shown in his professionalism and care for his customer's needs. You dont get service like this in this day and age.. It is a rare moment and should certainly be appreciated for it!! Thank you Mark!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mark Adams. GREAT SERVICE is extremely hard to come by in SA but Mark exceeded my expectations. He always returned my calls & emails timorously. He understood my situation and helped me secure a unit. I eventually cancelled after paying for it, yet the respect and care he showed, even in the cancellation process spoke volumes about his character. I have been extremely stressed as I am moving to a new house and my situation was really complicated but dealing with Mark made that aspect easy. If you are looking for that awesome service, only ask for Mark. Thank you, Mark. I hope Stor-Age @ Mount Edgecombe know what an asset you are. Keep up the good work.

Professionalism, expertise and excellent service by Mark Adams at Mt Edgecomb made the entire process comfortable and a pleasant experience. 5 STARS to him. Disgusting, appalling, unwilling to help don't even store your things here because they steal everything valuable u own. Excellent service. The place is a Fort Knox. Make sure that you get Stephanie at the front desk. She is extremely helpful and will show you around as well as each of the unit options, without a complaint and with a smile. Definitely worth the prices for peace of mind. The location is central if you're in Umhlanga and surrounds. They also have 5 other storage areas spread throughout DBN.

It's been a great experience. Always professional and pleasant. Household furniture and goods have been in storage for 5 years, with some mixed in and out and no problems at all, even through Covid, floods and rioting. Premises safe and dry! Would recommend them. Easy access with a disc and your own lock. Unit checked as we once left unlocked and got a call to tell us.
