After my regular Cafe changing owners my Bestfriend and I were left trying Cafe after Cafe for something that was affordable, delicious, homely, welcoming and close by. Strudel's is all of those things. The food is fresh and made Daily. I like that the tables are close but not squashed it gives a friendly and comfortable vibe. For breakfast we had "Strudel's Works" the eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was cooked crunchy is some places and soft in others without an excess of fat. The mushrooms were Juicy and not shriveled. The toast was crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside it was the perfect homemade sourdough. The avocado was very fresh. The Apple Strudel was perfect, the pastry was so fluffy and soft and the apple was sweet and it had the slightest tang of citrus. The Vanilla Slice was the best I've ever had so smooth, airy and creamy. It lacked the radioactive yellow look you find on cheap vanilla slices and had instead looked wholesome and had the colouring buttercream. The pastry was flakey and buttery just as it should be. As for the little ones, my little one says the Babychino was "very Chocolatey" and she loved her smarty cookie because it also had chocolate chips in it. Another Plus for me was the Radio playing had music from ABBA to Pink all songs most people would know. Staff were Friendly and for the duration of our stay in this Cafe every patron walked away with a smile on their face.

Coffee was v hot as requested - great. Burger without the bun or chips as low carb was a bit bland. Efficient wait staff

After dealing with treacherous weather and howling winds, we looked up to see the beacon of light which was the Strudels sign. Heaven? No, but possibly the next best thing. It was a safe warm place for us to recover and enjoy a hot beverage and sandwich. The staff at Strudels were friendly and prompt. Our coffees were quick and creamy. Sandwiches - to die for. What more to say? To the staff at Strudels Cafe… you haven’t seen the last of us. Goodbye for now but not for ever.

I've lived in the area for around 12 years and I've been going to Strudels regularly throughout that time. It's been consistently good. The staff are always friendly and to be honest so are the other patrons. I mention the patrons because the tables are very cosy and very close. It's more a diner setup than a cafe. Order and pay at the counter, table service for food/drink service. If you want a casual breakfast, lunch or coffee in the area you could certainly do worse.

My family and I ate brunch here yesterday. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu was great and the pricing very, very good. The four meals that we ordered were excellent. . I had smashed avo and eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked. We will certainly be back.

Staff very rude... note: Don't look your customers up and down and blatantly judge them! You gave us poor service but the next people were treated quite differently, that it was disgustingly obvious! We weren't rude, pushy or anything of the sort and if I wasn't hungry, I would've walked out there and then... But don't worry... we will NEVER come back! P.S. Air conditioning is a great invention, maybe better if you use it on your diners who pay good money!

New burgers available for a lunchtime meal at the strudels café. Enjoy a chai cappuccino “dirty chai” with A great selection of cakes and pastries. A superb place to grab a cup of coffee with a ‘“morning tea” snack for a catch-up with friends. You will find this café rather popular due to its sought after food and atmosphere. Of course open for a delicious lunch or any time delight.

A nice little Cafe. Not really up market or particularly impressive, most of the ingredients are quite cheap and in line with a chain store, but the prices are also reasonable. The staff are lovely and the environment pleasant. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but would come again if in the area.

I've had lunch at Strudel's, many times, but this was my first breakfast visit. Firstly, I couldn't decide on my meal because of all the delicious options. The variety was great! I finally decided on the Spanish 3 Egg Omelette, and was really pleased. Cooked well, and super tasty, with a good balance of ingredients. I'm definitely ordering it again. Thank you Strudel's

Had to ask for the included salad to my meal, which when it came was swimming in dressing. The chicken in the Cajun chicken wrap was a bit bland and the advertised sour dough sandwich was wholemeal bread when we received it. Berries juice and coffee was nice though. Overall the place was clean but the food was lacking.

Had breakfast here. Food wasn’t too bad, but the visual presentation can definitely be better especially for the price they are charging. Don’t like the lack of table service here as it feels quite chaotic with people needing to determine where they want to sit first before going to the counter to order and pay.

Lovely place for a light lunch with a huge selection. Welcoming staff.

Been coming here for nearly 10 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. Good, service and coffee have always been faultless - staff are friendly, and the shop is always well presented and clean. No doubt this explains why they are always so busy.

First time in Melbourne and found this little gem nice food, friendly staff will go again when back in Melbourne

Have to order at the counter, at least 4 staff members totally ignored us. Then treated us like we were a chore. Food was average, all pre-prepared . I could make better at home. Chips are cold. Toilets filthy. Won't be going back.

Food seemed pre-made and re heated. Really nice place and amazing drink, but we ordered a wrap and an opened grill and it wasn't very hot nor fresh. Would still recommend due to the service but maybe not so much for the food itself

Central location in Niddrie shops in Keilor Rd. Great place to catch up with friends for a quick lunch or coffee. Has good gluten free options. Friendly service. Re-opened again after being closed during Omicron restrictions.

We had breakfast here. The food was all nice and very fresh (especially the avocado which was delicious) and the service was friendly. The hollandaise was a bit too buttery tasting for my liking though. Prices are reasonable.

We've been going to Strudels for years. Excellent coffee and lunch. Not many sweets in gluten free but a wide variety for normals. Angelo, Robert and Natalie are lovely and remember you.

Great, friendly service. Lots of choice on the menu with a Mediterranean influence. Wraps, foccaccias, burgers, soup and lots of cakes !Great coffee. One stop shop for lunch in Niddrie.

Warm and friendly staff makes everyone feel at home. The regulars are locals. The coffees are strong, the cafe is clean and the food is homely. What else would you want?

Service is pretty good but the chef is brilliant. Eggs Benedict top Notch and the Super Spud is outstanding. Coffee is great too.

Try the super spud, not the soup. One of the best baked potatoes around, bacon, mushrooms, sour cream and vege slaw.

Fast service. Very popular among cyclists. Can be a bit loud at times. Food is average and not too expensive.

Great catering. Good value. We really enjoyed the sandwiches, croissants and home made muffins. Yum
