I don’t usually right reviews , but Dawn Freisen deserves recognition and my only reason for not leaving desjardin is because of her prompt service, her kindness and her eagerness to help in any situation to make you feel like a valued customer . I had two vehicles damaged in a hit and run recently . Dealing with claims advisor was not the best or even close to what I expected as a long time Client with multiple policies . I was very eager to pull everything and move , due to a vehicle written off and desjardin making me feel like I am at loss for an accident caused by someone else , this left me very upset and wanting to move companies but Dawn had gone over and beyond to help through this tough situation . Did things the claims advisors are to do , she took it upon herself to get things going promptly and make it less stressful for us . Dawn is excellent at what she does , will return or answer calls always, and will always find the best solution . I. Can not thank her enough for making this crazy situation a bit easier to deal with . Something the claims advisors were not able to do or even return calls . Sylvain and his team has always been helpful and they're easy to get a hold of! Way better than dealing with a call centre! They get back to me with ny questions/requests in a timely manner. They provide auto, home, life insurance, RRSPs, and loans etc all under one roof which I'm happy about because I don't need to go to different places to get everything done. It's like your department store for insurance. Sylvain did a financial review with me in which he got a sense of where I'm at today, financially, and where I would like to be 5 years from now. He definitely took the time to understand my needs rather than selling me something I don't need..and that is something I can appreciate from an insurance agent. I got into a car that I want, thanks to Sylvain and his team. I don't have to pay ridiculous financing charges for my car! (I got burned financing with the first car I ever bought a couple yrs back..never again) State Farm was able to save me LOTS of money by financing my vehicle with them. Jun C. is a professional adviser to have for all types of insurance. We reviewed my existing insurance policies and in view of my upcoming purchase of a new house, Jun recommend appropriate life/term insurance to help me save and avoid paying for redundant insurance policies that will not protect or help my family if something bad happens to me. Jun has an excellent customer service, always available for any clarifications or questions,and provides me with finalized insurance policies on time. He is proactive - he updated my records and provided me updated copies of our car insurance pending our transfer to the new house next week. Lastly, Jun never failed to get in touch with me and my family throughout the pandemic which showed that I am not only a customer to him but also a fellow human he looks after.

Worst insurance agents, I would say go to any other agents but not to them.. when you come to them they will be so nice and when you want to change your insurance they will put unnecessary charges and make sure to get as much money as possible from your pocket.. wont pick your phone and ignore your voice mails. The main agent couldnt explain how they calculated the charges levied on cancellation. They kept on repeating same sentences that they learn in training. Eventually when they agreed that they owe the advance they said its adjusted in the cancellation charges with no information how or where.... I opted to TD which saved me $84 per month and the owner said "hey you are saving a lot throughout the year.." thats the reason for not giving my money back WOW!!!

I have been a long time customer of State Farms with Sylvain being my agent for the past few years. I was transferred to him from my old agent who had retired. Sylvain provided the worst service I've ever experienced. Every time I had a question about my policy, instead of taking the time to familiarize my file, he gave me answers based on his assumptions which were completely wrong. I had to call the 1-888 number and speak to someone there in sales to get the answers to my questions. I finally have switched agents and they are amazing compared to the service provided by Sylvain. I would not use him for your insurance as he does not care about his customers and only his bottom line.

Due to life events I've had to contact our insurance agency a couple times in the last week and I have to say, I was so impressed. On the first occurrence, I spoke with Jun and I found hime to be incredibly helpful, resourceful, clear, and concise with the information he provided. He was cheerful and most pleasant to speak with. He told me exactly what he was going to do and then followed up, just as he said he would. Completely unprofessional. Because they don’t have record of me making a change on my account because of one of there employee of company’s or office failed to record this and do there job. After speaking with the manager of the company today he told me sorry I can’t help you we don’t have record of this change being made in your file but believe it or not I haven’t ate my lunch yet so hope your vehicle gets recovered. Completely unprofessional. Will be changing insurance company’s after today’s incident completely unprofessional.

Originally with State Farm, which morphed into Desjardins. When calling to ask about adjusting rates because they were getting inflated without cause, I wasn't given any rationale about the increased rates and was told they were a good company because of the connection with your agent. In 3 years, the only time I spoke to the same rep twice was during followup on a specific issue. Every time I called with a question, I spoke to a different person.

I just wanted to review this wonderful company and Sylvain who works there , I’ve been dealing with them for a few years now and he’s always on top of his game if it’s silly questions from me or just advice from him Sylvain is always honest and straight forward!
