Found this cafe online, they focus on plant-based nutritious drinks and foods. They have adaptogens you can add to any drink. Adaptogens are made from herbs and/or mushrooms and are most popularly known to help reduce stress in the body. Food wise they had energy balls, smoothies, muffins, chia puddings, salads, and biscotti. I visited when they first launched so they actually didn’t have all this food available yet - going to head back to try it. The inside is really pretty, lots of plants hanging around. It's attached to the office of the Canadian film festival, separated by a  glass wall, you can see everyone in their working, which is nice if you're needing motivation to work. I tried their mushroom mushroom matcha latte and their regular latte. They make all their drinks with plant-based milk (oat) unless you ask otherwise. I've tried every coffee shop in Kingston and the latte here is definitely in my top 5. It was very well balanced and strong. Highly recommend it if you enjoy bold tasting coffee. If you’re not into oat milk be sure to advise them to change it! Their matcha was good too. I always find matcha tastes best with plant-based milk. Mine had slightly too much maple syrup which masked the matcha flavor, however it was decent quality matcha; mellow, slightly bitter and nutty. If you're into sweeter mixed drinks, it might be hard to find options here, they don't have any flavoring syrups and only use maple syrup and cane sugar to sweeten some beverages. You can ask for your drink to be sweeter if you prefer however. There is also plenty of parking in the back and it’s located near the water, which will be very nice during the summertime.

False advertising, uneducated owner and employees. Avoid. Was told this was a vegan restaurant, by the owner herself. I walk into the restaurant, confirm that everything is vegan with the staff, then notice "Limestone Dairy" on their menu. When I asked, the employees said "we do have dairy, you just have to ask for it". This restaurant markets "plant-focused" food as it's theme. Whatever "plant-focused" means is apparently up to interpretation. It's just another vegetarian trying to look progressive while not wanting to lose money from people who don't care about the adverse effects dairy has on the environment, our economy, and most importantly the animals that were abused so they could sell their milk. (That's meant for baby cows.. not Tula customers.)

First time in and LOVED the atmosphere. It’s beautiful, good amount of seating, bright, and soooo many plants (makes me happy). They seem to like mushrooms in their drinks. We tried the rainbow 11:11 and iced dalgona. Didn’t know what to expect, my wife as a non coffee drinker didn’t like either (that’s predictable) I enjoyed the dalgona more but both were good - neither were strong coffee (as long as you stir the dalgona). Creative uses for mushrooms and their knowledgeable friendly staff helped us learn more about their uses.

They host lots of local bakers that have many vegan and gluten free options. They all look amazing and the one we had was splendid!

Love the vibe, the colours, the plants, the coffee (my half-caf is exactly right) and the coral-shade mugs. I'm tempted by the Matcha and even Beetroot latte (colours again) but have yet to indulge. Having tasted several baked delights, my super-favourite so far is the strawberry cruffin. Wicked. Tula's location, refurbished historic building and light-dappled interior are each draws for me. AND the bike-rack where you can lodge your wheel neatly in the bracket and attach your lock to wheel, frame and rack. But I have to say that the kind and cheerful welcome from servers really makes me--and my long-term life-partner, Sue--feel at home. Scores on the well-being value even before we sit down.

Tula is truly distinctive in the Kingston co ffee scene. They make great coffee, yes, but they also offer a list of lattes with adaptogens in them, which I recommend! I don’t know if it was the adaptogens or just the good vibes from the staff/atmosphere, but I truly did feel mentally calm and clear starting my day with a Tula adaptogenic latte. I also enjoy that their menu includes fresh and nutritious takeout breakfast and lunch options, like chia pudding topped with fruit and nuts, smoothies, and veggie bowls. Everything is very thoughtfully curated from the selection of milks available, vegan and gluten free options, locally produced baked goods (Coffee Plant YGK), and the bright and sunny interior design. It’s giving 5 stars!

Tula is the cafe Kingston needed. Their coffees are exceptionally good, thanks to the magic that is Vortex coffee beans and staff who knows what they're doing (and are super warm and friendly!). What sets Tula apart, in my opinion, is their wide range of adaptogenic drinks which are not only tasty but good for the body and mind as well. My go-to treat is the lemon cruffin and I've never been disappointed by their lunches. It's undeniably a fave spot for hanging out with friends and family -- a must-try for locals and visitors alike.

Such a neat and chill atmosphere with very welcoming and lovely staff. There were a lot of outlets for computers and ample room (I imagine it could get quite busy and full though!). I came for a really delicious and filling smoothie and a snack. The Coffee Plant baked goods that they supply are super tasty and gluten-free which is really nice to see. I saw some croissants and other items there too for the gluten tolerant folks and definitely need to try one next time as well as their coffee.

5-Stars for the croissants alone. Best one I’ve ever had, not sure if they bake their own or bring them in, but 5 big stars here. My wife was dying to try the Beetroot Latte and the lavender latte. The Beetroot was nice, the Lavender unfortunately just tasted like warmed coconut milk. Going for some real coffee next round, and another croissant of course. Disappointed with the service, and coffee. The business and owners use other community businesses without proper communication and still takes advantage of their hard work to promote their own business without giving the proper credit to other businesses that they’re in contact with or use. Very unprofessional and deters not only me but many of my close friends and family. I don’t recommend this café, I don’t recommend their subpar and mis informed coffee, and very very poor service. 1 star.

Absolute garbage customer service. Stood in front of cash for about 15 mins before anyone even acknowledged I was there. Let me just add that nobody else was in line or in the store so it should not have taken that long. Ordered an overpriced hot chocolate and some baked goods. All the food was dry and almost tasted old and stale. And this $6 small hot chocolate tasted like tree bark with coco powder sprinkled on it. Never will I be coming back. DO NOT COME HERE ITS GROSS.

This place is such a hidden gem! I absolutely adore the atmosphere and the drinks/food make it even more worth the visit. Their matcha is delicious and the staff seem to be very knowledgable on their adaptogenic drinks. I also love their Golden Hour fridays that they host there - great vibes all around!!! I will continue to support this lovely cafe ◡̈

This spot is absolutely awesome! They make the best non-dairy latte in town and their Vegan baked goods will blow your mind. I've had vegan baked goods that were very disappointing in the past but I can assure you that everything they make is super tasty and always fresh. I also like the atmosphere. It feel very welcoming. I also like that I can walk in from both sides of the building. Thanks again!

I work in the area and have been anticipating the opening of this cafe for some time. I've been really impressed with what the TULA team has done with the space. Most food and drink items are locally sourced and incredibly delicious. It's a welcoming environment and any interactions with the team and staff have also been excellent. I would highly recommend this local gem just steps away from the downtown Kingston core. I'll absolutely be back again.
