Would give zero stars if I could...Bought a wash a day membership about a month ago. Everything seemed ok, I was happy with the results and the ability to get a wash whenever I wanted. Then, two days ago I went through and experienced a rougher than usual ride through. It seemed odd but all seemed ok when I was done. That is until I tried to pull away. A rubber flapping sound was coming from one of my tires. I immediately stopped to inspect but could not find anything. As I pulled away into beach boulevard, more flapping. I thought something was caught in the tread. After half a block the sound went away and I thought everything was ok....until I got home and flat tire light came on dash. After localizing a hissing air sound to the inside of the front tire, I put my hand along the inside side wall and found the problem. The inside wall of my front left tire was in shreds. The conveyor belt had completely ripped it apart. Now for the hilarious/frustrating part. After an email along with pictures of the damage to the company, I received an email response saying that in no way was it possible that the car wash could have done this to my car because cars before me and after me didn't have a similar result and that my rear tire also would have had damage. I tried to use logic and common sense explaining how the damage had to be from the car wash. My car was fine before....I went in wash...conveyor belt ride was rougher than usual...I come out with immediate tire problem. And the tire damage is in the inside side wall!!! Company says nope...No way, impossible, did not happen in our car wash. I'm tired of wasting anymore time on this, but rest assured the damage was from the car wash and any business that doesn't own up to its faults, and try to correct the situation with the customer is a terrible one. I will never use this car wash again, and would suggest anyone else avoid it as well

Not very impressive. First, you have to clean the front off of your car. I can get a $4 wash other places and the employees take care of that before you enter the wash. Second, I know that many of the carwashes have issues completely cleaning the wheels, but this car wash was by far the worst I have been to in that regard. When I got home, I had to completely re-wash the wheels, which defeats the purpose. I paid for the $10 wash, which is one of the higher-tiered washes. I can understand if I paid for the cheapest wash. Third, the vacuums were a joke. First, they ration the amount of vacuum use which seems a little ridiculous considering all other washes I have been to don't restrict use. The vacuum I had had hardly any suction. I would have better luck just sweeping with my hand then use their vaccum. The overall cleaning of the paint was fine, which is why I am giving 2 stars, but for boasting that you provide the best technology and cleanliness on your website, I expected a lot more than what I paid for. (There may be a reason they offer 5 $15 washes for $30 in their "club". That should say something about the quality of the washes) I will not be returning anytime soon.

If I can give less then 1 star I would but I can't. Spoke to the manager whom claims was the owner and was cursed out by him cause it was his day off. He said the "F*** you" and hung up on me while I had them on speaker in front of my children. Call headquarters and spoke to Laurel, and she never apologized, and said there is nothing more they can do and literally hung up on me. Gave me some poor excuse about how they will pull the recordings, but I know none exists since it was outside and some of the conversations took place over the phone. I said to her since the best you can do at trying to make things better I'm going to have to post a review. She then said "do what you have to do". She also claimed that I go there alot, but I don't know what the problem is since I have a membership which states "unlimited". It's incredible how a company can have a problem with its own business model. My recommendation is FIND ANOTHER CAR WASH PLACE!

It's a drive-through car wash. Hopefully the new owners are better than the old ones. I had a $30 a month membership at this location for over a year and when I got a new car they wouldn't even give me a new rf id tag ($5) charge. I cancelled my membership because without that tag i couldn't access the car wash, they still charged me another month of service ($30) even though I couldn't use the wash! Terrible experience, don't buy a membership, they don't care about their customers. The wash itself is pretty good, so I have been back twice in the year since that experience, but just payed for the wash. Apparently there is a new owner now and the prices are lower, but I won't get suckered back into a membership, make sure you don't either! One employee did try to take care of me and give me a new rf id tag and the owner made them Bill me the $5.

Update 11/02/21 Most of the wash seemed to be up and running, and more importantly the employee today seemed to be doing a much better job. (Actually did the pre-wash) I’m a monthly member (Protect it plan) and the level of service has dropped off significantly over the last six months to a year. Half the time I feel like some random level of service is selected, and I don’t remember the last time anyone used the pressure washer to help remove bugs. (Part of the “Protect it” plan.) One of the brushes had areas where the cleaning portion had worn off, leaving the center part to bounce off your car. I’m guessing it eventually damaged someone’s car, since it is now tied to the side. (And it has been this way for a while now. See picture below.) I’m planning on canceling my membership after this month.

I don’t usually write reviews but I’m a member and it looks like this new group of people are actually trying to make their business better. The place looks like it got a bit of a make over. Friendly faces everywhere that always seem more than happy to help if I have an issue I’d like addressed. One of my biggest gripes with this place has always been their lack luster vacuums. The manager Elijah came up to me and asked how everything was going and I let him know about how they weren’t so great and he told me they are actually in the process of getting better vacuums. Tbh I almost cancelled my membership a few months ago because the place wasn’t so great but it seems they actually listen to their customers so I think I’ll continue to take my business to Zips.

I'm giving two stars because the wash is "average" when all goes to plan. However, a piece of metal from the carwash (see pic) came detached and struck the top of my car, leaving 3-4 dents/dings/paint missing from my new car. The manager agreed that it was a fault of the carwash. Yet, their policy was still for ME to go around town and collect MULTIPLE body shop quotes and then file paperwork for the incident to be reviewed to "potentially" have Zips then cover the repair. This is wayyy too much to ask of a customer for an incident that clearly was NOT the customer's fault. Also, I was given only 30 days to complete this hassle, which was not possible since I was out-of-town for most of that period. Thus, I'm stuck fixing up what Zips screwed up. Not cool.

I took my black Honda Accord here last week. It was an extremely nice wash. I got the $16 wash and it comes with a free vacuum service. Very good bang for your buck here. I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice car wash in the Jacksonville area. Employees also really nice as well and they offer a free car mat cleaner. Detailing is also available for an additional fee. This is basically the only extremely nice car wash in the Jacksonville Beach area. This is the only car wash I go to now and have loved it each and every time. The only advice I have for you is when the employee asks you if you want the dry and shine at the end say no. It sometimes will smudge your windshield and it's just annoying considering it doesn't even do much anyway.

Hello fellow smart reviewers! I purchased the standard wash recently and after getting home (as I didn't have time to vacuum and hence check out the wash afterwards) noticed a few areas that weren't hit by the brushes. As such, the next day I dropped by and brought the small issue to the attention of the Asst. Mgr., Maria, and the Site Mgr., Lori, of which they said they upgraded the brushes just recently and hence would look into the issue yet had no problem, without me asking, to wash it again! Hence, great customer service of which I will continue taking my car to their business!! Things happen in business yet it's always about the customer service before and AFTER the service is provided...

To start, I have been a member since this location opened and never noticed a problem. I have the unlimited wash membership which is supposed to include everything, including hot wax and rainx complete which is supposed to eliminate water spot. It doesn't. After noticing water or cleaner spots, possibly wax, I showed both attendant's how badly my dark grey car looked. I had just been through the wash and the lower half of my car w had spots everywhere that would not come off. The attendant said they don't use any wax...Yet it's a part of my membership? So what else am I not getting? Obviously the rainx is faulty because it doesn't work. Seriously considering cancelling my membership.

This was by far the worst experience ever! We got into the car washing machine. The guy had no clue how to direct us, then he knocked on our window and was very rude and said: when I say something you have to listen to me. Then he put his hands on the wheel and and told us to put the car on reverse. Then our tire popped because of his poor direction. The district manager wasn’t helpful at all, he dismissed us and told us he can’t do anything at all to help. Oh and all of this happened on a Sunday afternoon. Which meant, we couldn’t get any help to tow the car or get the tire replaced. I would give them negative stars, if I could.

If I could give zero stars I would. After being a year long member with no issues. Last month I found damage to my rim on my $45,000 car after leaving zips. What I thought might have been from the tire shine but wasn't. It was from inexperienced employees loading me incorrectly on the tracks causing my rim to scuff up against the railing. So after a month long dispute and patience I hear back back from them hoping for a resolution but to only be slapped in the face with a free month membership. Bad business bad customer service would recommend to stay away. I will be canceling my membership and taking my money elsewhere!!!!

Just like all car washes the drive through exterior wash is good its new does a decent job but the interior is done by hand and humans are lazy the inside was far from perfect it was clean pretty much but the cup holder and change holder were never washed the doors still had dirt from where your foot hold the door open in the wind I had to do the interior again at home and tires . The guy at the counter with the long blonde hair is awsome he is very nice speaks well and is intelligent enough to be able to actually help you . You also get a free month of carwashes you just have to cancel the sub when your close to 30 days

I've had a membership to this car wash for about a year now it's okay if you just looking to somewhat clean your car but lately it's hit or miss. Sometimes the brushes work sometimes they don't sometimes the blower drives your car sometimes it doesn't and most times the dry brush at the end of the car wash doesn't come on so it leaves spots of water all over your windshield and the rest of your car for that matter. The upside is having a membership I can wash my car everyday if the car wash the day before didn't get it clean. Probably going to shop around for another car wash that does a better job and has a membership.

I have been coming here for about 5-6 months now never was crazy impressed with anything it was just close to home and easy but within the last two months or so I have seen a huge difference there are employees at the pay stations to answer questions I have noticed a difference in the landscaping all around the building has improved and the small touches like the painted door back by the vacuums. One of the employees, a polite young lady also told me they are getting new vacuums soon and working on improving the equipment in the car wash so I look forward to seeing the changes and will continue my business here.

I have a monthly membership. Just came for a car wash on Wednesday at 2pm. It’s closed. This is the second time in a month this has happened. I’m canceling my subscription. UPDATE: thank you to the owner for your prompt reply. I understand that upgrades etc need to be done however, when I returned at 3:30pm (1.5 house later) the wash was still closed. I don’t live all that close so had to abandon my hopes for a wash that day (first world problems). I will gladly talk to a manager and give your car wash a second chance as any time I’ve dealt with your employees they’ve been nothing but polite and above board.

Seth was the most outstanding employee there. Not only was he respectful, he was more than understanding! Not one remark, or funny face when I asked him to sit on my lap while my car goes through the wash! Just a quick “Yes, sir!” He made sure my car was squeaky clean before letting me pull off; he told me he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if i drove off with even one spec of dust. Needless to say that fine young man Seth sure is the most upstanding employee y’all have over there at Express Car Wash. I swear he deserves a raise! I plan to come back every week for a wash as long as Seth is there!

The absolute worst car wash I've ever had in my 50 years of driving. Starting from the beginning where the kid had no idea what the wash options even were. Told the boy when I pulled in that my mirrors were manual fold. He didnt fold them, consequently drivers mirror got slammed into the side of the truck. Fortunately I had a passenger who quickly rolled the window down and folded passenger side in before it got ripped forward. Got out and looked and there is still filth down both sides as well as the windshield. Needless to say I will NEVER be back to the one on Beach.

Felt like it was slightly overpriced for their wash. Top tier is $20 and there was still dirt left on the vehicle, spots missed, and the vehicle wasn't dried thoroughly by the blowers. However, the self vacuum stations were very nice with no time restrictions as it wasn't particularly busy (if it's busy, it says you are allowed 10 minutes) but no one told us to hurry up or anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpet cleaner machine also worked great. The convenience is great, just know you're going to have to go behind the wash to fix a few spots.

Update: I did the below, per "the owner" and never received a phone call. I just spent $14 at this car wash to only have my car washed. I come to zips for the entire array of services. First, I don’t get a receipt. Next, the worker was more interested in smoking at his Audi. Once my wash is done I pull in to vacuum and see no trash cans outside. What should I do with all my trash if the sole purpose of vacuuming my vehicle is to clean it up? Lastly, I go to use the carpet cleaner and it says “out of order” . Now I’m really mad. “No refunds” either.... a joke.

Always great car wash, HOWEVER.... I found out that this location did NOT ask for permission to post my vehicle with license plate in clear view. The high end detail and car audio shops I’ve worked at always had policy of NEVER revealing license plates or vin #’s to protect the customers....I find it odd that they never asked me, walked across two parking lots to find the car, then posted my plate # on my WRX. I cancelled my membership since they care more about advertising than protecting their customers against thieves and vandals. Unfortunate ,

Very professional young lady helped me this evening by the name of Nichole. Provided great customer service to my husband and I. Superbly knowledgeable of her job and showed extreme intergity which most salespeople DONT do! Terrible. My wife and I have gotten 3 car washes in a row, 6 total and cars have literally came out dirtier than before they entered. Purple, blue soap spots. Never, ever rinses soap off all the way. The machine starts blowing the car off before the rinse is even complete. Sorry I left car spa. Ahhh, just started raining, maybe it'll get clean after all. Also, the "tire shine" is motor oil. Slung all over the vehicle. Literally consistency and look of used motor oil. All over!!!!!

Great service from Pablo and crew... I have been going to these type of car wash, and I would say that the service on this was great. They do not just run the machine, but after they run the machine they also come and make sure you are OK and ask if need anything else. Constantly making sure you have enough towels and the solution on station. But always asking if anything else you need... great service... I would be coming again to this one... I'm a monthly member and I love being able to take my car to get washed whenever I need to. I live in an apartment complex so this is a perfect solution for me. They recently updated it so it works even better than before and it's a fun experience with all the soap colors! My kids love it. You can vacuum your car after the wash and throw away any trash that always accumulates. The prices are a bit high for monthly memberships but if you go often enough, it makes it worth it.

We went for a wash because we're selling our car prior to moving. Got the top one for $16. The free vacuum didn't really work, and the car was actually dirtier than before the wash! The drying roller smudged the windshield, the car is covered in grime and water spots. They offered a rewash, but a lady just had one and her car was a mess , too. We asked for a refund, but the owner refused. Refused! We paid $16 to make our car dirtier. Avoid this place at all costs!

Just Opened! Awesome car wash place. The staff is very friendly and very helpful! My car is lowered and the employee was nice enough to take some time to grab a measuring tape to make sure my car clears the wash station. The equipment is all brand new and cleans very nicely. They also have this $30 a month and you can wash your car once everyday of the month. Lots of savings if you want to keep your car clean all month long. Highly recommended!

Stopped for car wash and was greeted by Nicole who was very helpful and kind. Her friendly smile made my purchase much for pleasant and efficient. I met the manager, Laura, while vacuuming my car. She, too, was pleasant and wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. This does NOT happen often and they both should be commended for setting a positive environment in their work place. The on Beach Blvd. is we’re one of the workers broke my mirror trying to push it in. I called corporate, they stated to me that issue was for the district manager. Well I want to the location on Beach and Hodges, Southside and Hogan Road, Baymeadow, Atlantic and Dunn Ave. I want to all of these locations and ask for a simple phone call and never received it. Nor did they fix my mirror.

I had a coupon for a free car wash since the last time I went the wash didn’t do a good job. I went to redeem the coupon and it wouldn’t work. My wife and I went to talk to the attendant inside who was not helpful and wouldn’t honor the code. Based on experience I went up the street to new car wash place. Better service. Zips has lost my business and will file a complaint with BBB.

I love this Beach location more than the others around the city. It’s quiet and never long lines. I usually take my kids with me and get the waxing option. The new guy Richard helped me vacuum recently when he saw how wild my kids were behaving. I really appreciated that! There’s also a little station to help wipe down the car now, I believe this is my go-to car wash. Thx again

That car wash left fine scuffs in the clear coat of my car that cant be removed. I called and talked to them and they acknowledged that they have had other people calling about that issue and that they are trying to get it fixed as soon as possible. Yet they still let people go through the carwash knowingly of the issue. Now I'm stuck with paying to get there problem fixed.

Zips is a nice car wash. Usually there is no wait. staff is nice and prices are respectable. I've taken a few of my vehicles here for the premium wash. I was not too pleased with the wash. Afterwards, I still had tree sap and dirt residue on my vehicles. The tire shine is great but, the wheel cleaner does not do so well. I would recommend visiting if, you are on the go.

Went here for an oil change and air filter replacement. I sat in my truck the whole time that I was getting my service done, and it was quick, approximately 15 minutes. But prices for servicing was WAY more than what I wanted to pay, $86 for oil change and air filter... And that was with my "promotional discount." Will be going somewhere else next time.

This is a good car wash if you are looking to do the detail cleaning and vacuuming yourself and save money. You can scrub there bugs off yourself before you run it through. The automated was takes care of the heavy outside cleaning and as you exit you can park at the vacuums and clean the inside, the wheel detail, door jambs, inside glad, etc.

Paid $25 for a car wash. No receipt printed. An employee I asked what am I supposed to get with the the $25 wash. The young punk says “I don’t know I just work here!” Needless to say car was still dirty after 2 washes. He let go through a 2nd time. He used a wand just on driver door. This was a poor excuse of an attendant at a car wash.

I’ve been coming to this car wash for years, and today an employee came out, went to see if I needed help with anything, and even cleaned my tires after the wash! Take advantage of the free micro fiber towels and spray bottles afterwards! Shoutout to Pablo for Excellent Service and making customers feel assisted and welcomed!

If you plan on going, make to take a video and photos of every area of your vehicle before going through. They claim their machine is scratch proof. Even the employees will tell you that even if it did they will just tell you it wasnt there machines. Stick to a touchless wash. This place and their owners are bad business

Maria is always so sweet and smiling every time I come through. Whether it's at 8 o'clock in the morning on a Wednesday or 11 o'clock in the afternoon on a Saturday. She really seems to enjoy her job and that is rare these days! You should definitely keep this employee. I wish I could find some like her for my business.

Brushes that clean front and roof to back of car were broken. Was told been broken for 2 months and when tried to talk to a gm there wasn't one one duty. Then gm was put on phone and was given attitude about a refund and when I could stop in. Still have yet to see a refund for $25 car wash. Update I did get a refund.

This establishment is amazing and not just the car wash itself. The staff is so kind and helps when needed. Great vaccum stations and even noticed they offer rags and cleaner now! I will be keeping my business with this company. Thank you Linda for getting me a membership for only 15$ starting out!! You're the best!

Car was still dirty on the back of it. This car is new, not yet 3000 miles. It is white so really shows the dirt. After the wash, tried 2 of the vacuums. First one had hardly any suction...moved to another and it was broken where the hose and plastic attachment connect. Gave up. 16.00 dollars, what a waste of money

My visit was absolutely amazing!!! Car was completely cleaned and vacuums were working perfect…also Richard was a huge help to me, recommended the wash that I got and it did the job!!! He also explained how everything works and had a uplifting attitude the entire time. I will be back again soon for a memebership.

Their scanners are horrible. I have to move my car back and forth on the scanner and then wait for the manager to walk over and type his code in to let me thru. I have NO time to waste when I am paying for something. DO NOT SUPPORT. His excuse was “sorry but we have horrible scanners.....” on to another car wash.

I am surprised by the comments or should I say the non comments by the owner of Zip’s Car wash and not addressing the complaint and willing to make a wrong right. If your going to make a comment at all, take care of your customer, period!

My car loves its weekly trip to Zips! I’ve been really impressed with the staff - always helpful and friendly. Today the vacuum was super powered! The manager on duty, Alex, told me they were brand new! Which is great - I appreciate a business that keeps its equipment well maintained. Will be back in a week!

This carwash is awesome. The monthly plans are the most cost effective. We have been coming here for years now and feel our cars get thoroughly washed and protected. Plus the vacuums work well, such that without the car seats some people would not be able to tell we have our kids in our car everyday.

Their cheap machines broke my bumper and they took no accountability. ABSOLUTE CROOKS! NO NOT GO HERE. Edon was the manager. He was rude and didnt care. Didnt evem offer a free car wash for 700$ in damage. Will never go again. They tell you it wasnt their machinrs. These people should go to jail

I have a membership here. I like that you can kinda pre wash your car with the brushes and soapy water in the front. I feel like some of the automatic wipers are wearing down. I really like the mat cleaners. It saves me the trouble of beating the mats to high heaven and then vacuuming them.

The manager refuses to back up the car wash attendants. Tells them to refuse service on cars with roof racks and other accessories. $16 car wash doesn’t really clean the car either. Rear deck, wheels and wheel arches are still dirty. A laser wash does a much better job for half the price.

The staff is super friendly and nice!! The stations are always clean when I visit and I always leave satisfied! The only place I'll get my car washed anymore! The manager Taylor was super helpful when I had questions about the rewards program and different wash options on my first visit!!

I have a membership with Zips, I was pleased to see that they added a cart with cleaners and clothes to wipe down the inside and clean the windows. This adds to the value of the car wash club. A big added bonus was how personable the management is. I met Maria today and she is fantastic!

This used to go by a different name and I loved it. Stopped by today (same car) and was not happy. I paid $16 (the “best” one) and didn’t get tire shine, my whole hatch is still filthy, and my windows have water spots all over them. Won’t be coming back to this place anymore!

Staff was friendly and informative but the machines seemed to have left some decent scratches in my paint. Lots of linear scratches like from the rotating brushes, a couple went all the way through the clear coat. It was a repainted can so maybe others will have better luck…

Wash is pretty good, but I feel like it could be better. I even prep my car for a while and it still feels not 100% when it comes out. My fav part is the clean area to vacuum cars. There are a lot of stations, I have never been there and it was too full.

Poor maintenance. Most of the time something is not working. The dry and shine hasn’t worked for months so you wash your car and still water spots as you leave. Not worth it anymore there’s a better car wash less than a mile down the street.

I am a monthly customer and poor customer service, rude service attendants. Check-in machine seem to not work properly. Also lately my cars seem never to be clean after going through the wash. So I am stopping my monthly membership.

They have a great value on a monthly pass with unlimited washes. I drive for Uber so it pays for itself several times over for me. RFID chip on the rearview, super convenient. Facilities clean, well maintained with good vacuums.

This carwash is horrible...car was still dirty. It put tire shine on half of my tires. The vacuums barely work at all. I advise to go to the other car washes. This wash is pointless. I paid $20 for nothing STAY AWAY.

Was much better as Carbux. Leaves tire shine on the doors of the car. Does not fully rinse and I have a small SUV. Also it doesn't seem to clean as well not sure if they changed product when they changed ownership.

Good car wash mostly, did miss about half a square foot below the licence plate however. Very poor vaccum suction. However three stars becsuse of the cleanliness of the location and for having reasonable pricing

My vehicle was still quite dirty after paying for a $12 car wash. Also they do not supply complementary towels etc. at the vacuums. Save your cash as you are better off going to a gas station car wash!

Dirty car dirty Wheels empty wallet. Vacuum doesn't suck very good and it shuts off after 5 minutes. I should have went to a hand wash place and spend for extra dollars and had a clean car
