545 west alma avenue san jose ca 95125. 8:45 pm. incident. my girl friend and i have been coming to this gas station for the last 6-8 months. for gas, monsters, (4 at a time) and smokes. today is 12/16/14. its raining heavy in san jose. i stop by my local oriely auto parts store to pick up some rain-x i meet my girl at this arco. to dry and apply the rain-x. we meet at aprox 8:35pm at appoximately 8:45 the teller an OLD MAN wearing a RED TURBIN comes out to tell us that we are in the way. i look around ther is one van that just pulled up. and several empty pumps. in fact besides the van, my girl and i the station is empty! ??? cofused by what this man was saying i asked him what he meant. he told us we need to leave and leave now. i ignor this man as it is a curtesy tht should be extended to any one to clean there windows and what ever other needs they have. such as checking oil. and airing tires. my girl friend and i are EXTREMELY OFFENDED. rain-x needs to be applied to a warn dry window. i was working on the windows while they where still warm from the drive. then i was going to buy my usual 4 monsters for me and her. a pack of camels and fill up both cars. i chose to leave after instead. since he shut the lights off over our pumps. needless to say i will never go back to this arco again.(IN FACT IM DONE WITH ALL ARCO GAS. as a mechanic i know how bad arco is for cars. and its not worth it. do the math. if you have a 10 gal tank and you save 10 cents per gal. at most you save 1$. this is the motivation i needed to get off my lazy convenient route and take my self to shell or chevron.. enough is enough gas station attendants like this. will not be tolerated. ARCO YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!

The station is no longer an Arco and hasn't been for some time. In fact, it's gone downhill since becoming G&M. The best thing I can say about this gas station is that has inexpensive gas, which makes it busy a lot of the time. Which makes it busy a lot of the time the problem with this is at any given time there is two or three pumps that are out of service for one reason or another. The ownership does not seem too enthusiastic about getting them fixed in a timely manner. Edit: updated from three to four stars now that this station is a Texaco. The prices have gone up a bit, but all the pumps are in working order. The bonus here is you can use your Safeway rewards for up to $0.20 off per gallon. Honestly the only reason the station doesn't get 5 stars at this point is due to the narrow lanes and not especially great access.

Usually I would rate this place a 3 or 4 because they are USUSALLY reliable. But things have been changing quickly and for the worse. Their credit/debit readers have been working less and less, and today the cashier was rude and unhelpful overall. I noticed i never got my change back on my card after getting gas so I went back to ask the guy for my change. Instead of listening to me and answering my questions, the guy kept interrupting me, talking over me, acting condescendingly, and just being an overall a-hole. The way he wouldn't let me ask questions makes me think this is some kind of scam. Not to mention, the guy got super close to me without wearing a mask. It made me SOOOOO uncomfortable and angry.

They might wanna tell you their pumps and payment kiosks won't work after hours! specifically for those using card because the machine won't return card until they open! 2nd time I needed gas bad and apparently cash don't work either!---- If this station is not open then please turn off your lights or anything in regards to us night crawlers who think were almost home and then get the card taken by the machine and no contact info!

I want to drop my rating as using the Texaco app along with trying to get rewards is a major hassle ultimately causing me to spend a bunch of Safeway reward points I was not intending of spending especially since the app says your will get rewards for using the app. This has not been my outcome but luckily a representative has reached out to me via phone call and all should be resolved soon enough

The overhang was too low for my truck. I wanted to park outside the overhang and extend the gas hose and nozel but they said they didn't have proper swivels and boots on their hoses like modern stations and were afraid that they might break. I had to go somewhere else for gas.

Works.. the usual Indian attitude to be very distant and unfriendly, not even looking at you. does not bother me in private areas, but in a customer service related job it is obviously misplaced . Water was floating in from the ceiling without any rain, probably a broken pipe

Someone there is stealing people's card numbers! After getting gas there someone tried to use my card in three different locations! Charges were declined because they didn't have my pin, luckily. Had to have my card cancelled and and new one sent out.

The gentleman that works the graveyard shift is not a nice person. He should never work in a customer service related position. He is just a horrible and miserable person who is just rude and unkind. He is also so very very slow.

Updated: Not the cheapest around, but use your Safeway Club Card points for a decent discount! Old: No longer an ARCO. Now G&M. Lowest gas prices around. Takes cash, credit or debit. Always a pump out of order lately.

I have been going to this gas station for over 10 years. Very convincence to get gas before you get on the freeway. With the new updated the gas station look very clean and more professional.

It says 24 hours but the lady with the glasses closed the pumps at 2348 while I was getting gas and tells me she has to close at 12. She sees us about to pump gas and still closed it early.

Ethanol Fuel E85! Unlike stations with Propel, you can actually pay with cash! Any other propel station you pay with card at the pump, and almost all the time it never works correctly!

This can be cramped and awkward with entering and exiting, but the people who work here are nice and straightforward.
