Completely forgot to review this place following my experience, but got an email to come in for vehicle I purchased for an oil change (I didn’t purchase one here, we’ll get to that). BUCKLE UP! Initially I didn’t have much trouble. The internet sales rep I worked with was helpful and after some back and forth negotiation, we had settled on a price. Full disclosure, I agreed to pay sticker less TTL/fees. (This worked out to about 33k - 3k, so we are sitting around 30k OTD). Salesman agreed. They send an invoice over so they can start running financing options and the invoice is full of errors. Price ended up being 3k+ than what I had originally agreed on. Called the finance guy preparing the invoice to discuss and ask him to remove the charges that I had not agreed to. At first he complied up until we got to the doc fee. This Is where things get interesting. Finance guy brings in sales manager, Christian, on speaker. Christian tries to blatantly lie to me saying the doc fee is required and cannot be removed. I disagree, because he is wrong, but also tell him how I agreed to a different price already. Christian then gets into an argument with me, using personal insults about my career, trying to convince me I know nothing about car sales and financing (I work with auto loans and purchases all of the time, so this was a very interesting discussion. Wish I had an entire transcript to share, but I digress). Christian tries to call my bluff about not going through with the purchase over a $300 fee, but I tell him good luck selling it to someone else. He is baffled that I would pass on the car due to the $300 fee, when at this point, the problem is more his character, demeanor, and lack of honesty that is pushing me away. He goes on to say the doc fee is how they pay administrative employees, such as the finance guy who is still sitting on speaker with us. He proceeds to say something like (paraphrasing) “if you don’t value (finance guy)’s time, I’ll just pay him out of my own pocket,” while implying that he is handing this guy cash on the spot. Very unprofessional, but it doesn’t stop there! After his ridiculous act I agree to think about it and see if I am still interested after a night of sleep. The internet salesman calls me the next day and I tell him about the experience, and he is baffled. He apologizes and offers to knock off an ADDITIONAL $300, on top of all other fees removed. I say okay, and carry on with my day. 3 hours later he sends a new invoice, same price as agreed, but without the additional $300 discount. Internet salesman says his GM said no. So I tell him I’m no longer interested because they clearly can’t keep their word for more then 5 minutes. I tell him I’ll be in the area on Saturday if they change their mind. Note - at this point I am really not interested, but we’ve gotten the price to where I was comfortable and the specific vehicle I wanted was only a few hours away. While we did have other options, this was option #1, despite the horrible sales tactics. Saturday comes and internet sales guy calls me first thing in the morning and says they’ll do the additional discount if I come that morning. I hesitate, but agree, and tell him if they try any more changes to the OTD price, I’m done and walking. We show up that morning, test drive the car, everything is good until we get into the finance office. The guy here is the same guy who was “paid out of pocket” over speakerphone by sales manager, Christian. We go over the invoices, fix a few errors without issue, and we start moving along. Financing approved, everything looking good, until we get to the final, official invoice. All of a sudden, there’s an $800 “gps security” device fee. Dealerships commonly add this in and will force it on consumers, and will tell them it’s not optional (similar to floor mats, nitrogen in tires, etc.). I tell the finance guy I am not paying for this, and that he needs to remove it. Finance guy disagrees. I cancel the whole sale and leave immediately. No apologies. Bought my car elsewhere a week later. Stay away.
Used car dealerships are often the subject of stereotypes. They are not honest, sincere, or reliable. They are also often portrayed as two-faced liars, swindlers, and scam artists. Texas Auto South is the epitome of those stereotype. I purchased a lemon from them and despite they purchased it back I was $12000 in the hole. Below is an abbreviated email that was sent on Sept 11, 2023. "Christian I want to start with a high-level recap of the series of events Timeline of Events: June 2023: Purchased a vehicle from Texas Auto. June 26th: Reported issues with brakes, oil sensor, and other lights. Texas Auto found no problems (despite that delayed maintenance leads to increased repair costs, decreased vehicle life, and increased safety risks.) August 20th: Vehicle overheated, becoming inoperable. Contacted Texas Auto representative with no response. Had the car towed home. August 21st: Called Texas Auto for guidance. Was told at 11 AM to tow the car to their dealership. Late August to Mid-September: Vehicle remained at Texas Auto for over 3 weeks. Received conflicting information from Texas Auto and the warranty company. Warranty company advised canceling the purchased warranty due to inapplicability. Mid-September: After nearly a month, towed the car from Texas Auto to Porsche dealership for a third personal towing expense. Porsche diagnosed immediate needs for brake and oil changes, identified two recall items, and found the coolant issue. Mid-September: Car Note due for a vehicle not in my possession. Received a quote from Porsche, which was half of what Texas Auto had estimated. Informed Texas Auto that their loaner vehicle would need to be retrieved from my location. Late September: Discovered a faulty headlight with a replacement cost exceeding $7000. I am writing to express my deep concerns and frustrations regarding my experiences I've had after purchasing a vehicle from Texas Auto in June 2023. Within days of my purchase, I reported multiple issues with the vehicle. From brake problems to sensor malfunctions, the car exhibited numerous red flags. Each time I sought assistance, I was met with either opposing information or inaction. My trust began to deteriorate after my vehicle was with you for over three weeks, during which I received conflicting and confusing information from both Texas Auto and the warranty company. The warranty company even suggested that the warranty you sold me was not applicable to my vehicle type and recommended I cancel it. Desperate for a resolution and not confident in the direction I was receiving, I had my car assessed by Porsche. The cost of their repair was notably less than your quote, and they identified critical maintenance needs that had been overlooked. Furthermore, I've now found that even the front headlight of the vehicle is out, adding yet another unforeseen cost to my growing list. I want to be clear: While I understand I purchased the car "as is," the sheer number of problems in such a short timeframe has left me feeling exploited. The fact that you sold me a warranty that was not applicable to my vehicle also demonstrates Texas Auto malice intent. I had hoped for a much more seamless and trustworthy experience with Texas Auto. My intention in highlighting these events is to provide feedback on areas that may require improvement within your business, and to seek a fair resolution to the challenges I've faced." Of course I received no response to my email. The car was inoperable for 2 months before finally connecting with a manager. Trust your gut regardless if you are in a hurry. If my opinion does not matter, keep in mind they DO NOT care about you, they only care about closing the deal. I must admit I didn't know about warranties. Do your research and make sure you have your own mechanic because their auto repair team are scammers. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM TEXAS AUTO. If you want more info do not hesitate to contact me. If they did a okie doke on you and need a witness in court please do not hesitate to connect. TEXAS AUTO IS A SCAM!
Horrible experience!! I drove 4 hours and was lied to. My salesman knew nothing about the vehicle he was selling. Before driving that far, I asked the price of the vehicle. He did confirm internet price plus TTL. Took two days to get a walk around video. No damage reported on the vehicle. I show up, and there is major damage to the rocker panel on the passenger side, and the back bumper was bent in and had splotchy touch up paint. Knowing the rocker panel is not usually a fixable repair, I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they stated they would provide signed documentation stating they would fix the damage. Start the paper work and somehow the $37.995 price I was told turned into $45,000 by added on equipment charges. Mind you, this is a bare bone stock Silverado 1500 RST with 85k miles, no spare tire, no jack kit, and a flat tire on the front driver side, and the damage stated above. After refusing the price, they told me I could pay $42,000 but i couldn’t use my own bank. Again, no. Last offer was for $41,3xx but stated they could not fix the dent at this price due them losing money on the deal. So basically I was paying for the repair in the added equipment charges. On top of that, my salesman knew nothing about the vehicle he was selling, couldn’t answer simple questions, and the communication before arrival was sub par. I did put a deposit on the vehicle, which was supposed to be refunded and I still have no received that refund. Mean while an employee in the office next to us is talking to another salesman about “going to his house on lunch break and hitting his inhaler,” and getting drunk. Very unprofessional. Would never even think about coming back to this place.
Do NOT work with any new salesmen and do not sign any deals without a upper level manager around. I'm $10k upside down on my POS. They sold me a car with a broken temp gauge, never cleaned it. They don't honor their "warranty," and you have to pay $1k for a fancy lowjack system. And ofcourse everything is as-is, so if you don't notice these things, that's on you. I had a viable lawsuit but wouldn't gain a worthwhile amount due to filing fees and legal fees. When I spoke to management they said, "I wouldn't have allowed this sale if I were here." Well, gee. Thanks guy. They typify "slimy used car dealership." If you aren't well versed in haggling and manipulation or are a genuinely nice person, don't shop here. It's not safe. I rolled in with my bumper falling off and a disabled daughter with a babysitter. I couldn't bring her becuase her wheelchair didn't fit in the car. I wanted a Kia and left with an Audi because I was so panicked about not being able to transport my daughter, I felt I had to get another car. It didn't help that the salesman also pressured me into an impossible scenario. He kept me there all day and to closing time before he came up with an offer. He wouldn't even give me the details until I was signing paperwork afterhours in the managers office, Coop. He said I could TRUST him to take care of my daughter and I. Now I have to file bankruptcy because I got stuck with a heartless, immoral new guy J Prenatt. He was fired within 6 months. They offered me a free brake change. I've never been so disgusted and traumatized in all my life.
Our sales lady Nena was great very kind and responsive to work with. We were negotiating price and I said my wife and I need to go figure out how to fit the payment in to our finances ( the price of the car shot way up with dealer options that were proabably already there). She said she had to talk to Christian the sales manager before we left. He came in and started criticizing our credit report, arguing with my son and embarrassing the sales lady. I have bought many cars and talked to many sales managers, but never have I been talked down to like this sales manager did. Not wanting to make a scene, we just left. I told the sales lady the sales manager blew the sale for her with his lack of ability in customer service. Later I talked to the business manager about the situation. I am still not happy by the way the sales manager treated my son and the situation. I saw someone else here had a problem with sales manager. Not surprised. I told my wife last night that this is probably not the first time he has blown a sale. I feel bad for Nena. Sure they may sell that car, but Nena lost the sale due to his unprofessional attitude. Christian ether needs customer service training or reassignment as assistant service manager where he does not have contact with customers. I am disappointed by what happened and cannot recommend Texas Auto because of that sales manager. I gave more than 1 star because of Nena. She would be a better sales manager due to her customer service ability.
After researching and looking for a vehicle for 2+ weeks I found something that checked all the boxes here at Texas Auto. I worked with Patrick gave him the info he needed for myself and my trade in and we were settling the deal on the phone since it’s a long drive for me. I told Patrick 4 times I did not want the addendums (ceramic coating, window tint warranty, tracker, key replacement). Patrick and I came to an impasse because he would only discount the items instead of taking them off. I ended up walking away from the deal that day because I was so frustrated. I emailed in an inquiry in the next day and got Brooke instead, let her know I was working with Patrick but couldn’t get where I needed to be with him. Let her know I’d accept the trade in price they quoted me but I didn’t want any of the extra stuff on the rig they had. Just sticker plus taxes and fees. She did tried once to give me the same quote as Patrick and I said no then she went back and got me exactly what I wanted! <3 Brooke, thank you for actually listening to me and helping me get my dream jeep <3 my only critique for Brooke is having the finance person ready for out of towners because it was 6 hours one way to get there and another 6 back home. But still thank you Brooke you were easy to communicate with and helpful.

READ THIS! Cole sold me a car about two months ago. At first the side mirror was broken and he tried to say that they didn’t do this, even though the pictures showed a non broken mirror. I was driving home that night and noticed the headlights not working as well. 3 weeks later, the check engine light came on, the driver door handle broke (without force) and cruise control stopped working. In addition, the car began to shake aggressively when going 40-50 mph. Turns out I needed to replace both CV Axels on the vehicle and was told the axels should had been replaced months ago. The manager Edward would not return my calls. I replaced the cv axels and was also told the dealership put the wrong size tires on the vehicle as well! So I had to replace all 4 tires. Lastly, when I drive over a puddle of water, water sprays into where the driving pedal is. So many problems with the car…. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY A CAR AT THIS DEALERSHIP PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HAVE AN INSPECTOR CHECK THE CAR BEFORE PURCHASE. They have put me in a money hole and aren’t willing to do what is right and fix the vehicle.

I brought my stepdaughter in to look at a vehicle she found online. Nicholas Ram was our salesman. He was very courteous and friendly. We told him what we wanted, how much we had down, and how much we wanted to pay a month. I will say unlike most other dealers we visited, Nicholas did not give us the run around. He was up front with all the details, meaning since my stepdaughter had very little credit history she would need a co-signer. Unlike other places they ran her credit and asked for more money down or a monthly payment she was sure not going to be able to make. Again this is our salesman listening to what we wanted. I don't know when I'll be in the market for a vehicle but I'll definitely be coming to see Nicholas. Thank you for the very easy car buying experience.
This place is horrible. I bought a car from them a few years back and had bad experiences. But in searching for the car, i wanted. I've decided to give them another chance. Needless to say my experiences with Texas Auto were worst Thang ever. The car I bought seems to look nice, but as I drove it home. I started to noticed that at there's no head bead on the passenger right side. And oil and coolant was leaking and the brakes needed attention and the wipers were damaging my windshield. I took it in and they want to charge me for everything and the diagnostic process. Shouldn't that be part of the 135 check point they supposed to do before they sell the car? I will never recommend any one to that place.
I usually don’t like being peered pressured into buying something I don’t want but I needed a car, and Tris did NOT make me feel that way. She was so helpful and so informative. The best thing was that she was very patient in asking my questions, even when I didn’t understand and asked the same question again. I wanted something very specific and Tris went above and beyond in helping me find my perfect car that was just right for me and my son. Tris was very professional and I’m so glad I had her to help me step by step! This young lady needs a raise! She knows what she’s doing! If I need to come back for whatever reason, Tris is who I’m coming back to. Will be recommending my friends to her!
This was my second time buying a car from them(1st experience was good so I gave another chance) not even a week went by and I was back with them with my engine ligh on and the car would turn off when we backed up. They fixed something and it didnt fix the issue. I didnt buy warranty because I trusted I was getting a good car, fast forward to 2 months later, only 1500miles been used and the issue is not solved even worst the ac is not cooling at all due to some problem that was already there and the dealer will not fix because of the 1000 mi warranty being over(but most of the miles were used driving to the dealer constantly) This has been the most terrible experience buying a car.

Juan took his time to help my wife find the car she wanted was responsive to all her questions and was really knowledgeable about all cars. I have recommended Juan to many friends and encouraged them to call upon Juan if they’re in the market to purchase a vehicle. I would also highly recommend others to pay him a visit. He will deal with you in a straightforward, honest way, and he’ll put you in a car you want!
If I could give em no stars I would, this dealer is horrible they bug and call and bug to waste your time and gas to go see them for the best deal once you get there they are persistent in trying to sell you a whole different vehicle they can't sell on the lot, once they see you are interested in a vehicle they will do everything they can to screw you and run your credit with every bank they can that way you won't shop elsewhere. Please stay away from these scammers so many other car lots to chose from. Most of the vehicles have a bad carfax anyway so stay away you've been warned!!!
Stopped in to get some insight on a used car. I was greeted by Nena. She was very welcoming.She asked what she could do to help and pointed me in the direction of the the finance department . She happily assisted me and sent me on my way within 5 mins. She had great energy. During our short encounter, I even noticed her speaking to another customer who recognized her. This customer was working with a different rep but stopped to acknowledge Nena as she had left a lasting impression on her . I will remember Nena during my future visits as well.
Went there to look for a car and see what they had. Was approached by Juan marquez with a great attitude. This customer service skills were amazing and instead of trying to make me buy something I didn’t want to he listen to what I wanted, and what I was looking for. A family man that understand the need to work hard but help those in need. Was able to close a deal with him not cause of the car but cause of his attitude and initiative to understand and not rushing us into the car. Highly recommend for good service.
I was met by a delightful girl named Tristen. She was knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I was looking for a vehicle in a certain price range for my daughter and she understood that. She did not pressure me or make me feel like the same was more about her than my needs. She made car shopping a pleasant experience, because lord knows I wasn’t excited about doing it! I would HIGHLY recommend this pleasant young lady to anyone who is the market for a vehicle and doesn’t want to deal with a pushy salesperson.
I brought my son in to purchase a Ford F-150 that he found online. Our sales associate, Nena Branch was so very helpful. She answered all our questions and actually made the purchase process fun (hard to believe buying a used car can be fun, but she was great!) Nena was so impressive, when we came back the next day with the cashiers check for the truck, I decided to purchase a vehicle for myself as well. She took excellent care of us both, and we’ll be back whenever we need to purchase our next vehicle!
Buying used was not my intent, but I am more than content with my experience at Texas Auto. Salesman Nick Hydorn took care of me with purchasing my vehicle and after the day was done, I felt like I could call him my cousin. He shared his grandmothers cookies with me and the next Sunday I saw him at church. Very honest salesman and good person. I recommend this dealer to anybody looking for a new vehicle, and I trust they will treat you with the same kindness they treated me.
My wife and I have been buying cars from Scott for 10 years now. He's kind of like that realtor that you got linked up with, and you will never use another realtor, except for them again! It was time to buy another vehicle so we sent him a message and found out that he is at this new dealership! Texas Auto is top notch, and I highly recommend them if you are on the hunt for a vehicle! Definitely ask for Scott when you go, I promise you, you will be over the top satisfied!
Being A 1st Time Buyer It Wasn't Easy Getting Into What My Daughter Wanted. We Visited 4 Dealerships Before Coming Here. Juan Marquez Right Away Asked What WE Wanted As WE Would Be The Ones That Should Be Satisfied, Not Satisfying HIS Commission. My Daughter Was Completely Amazed At The Compassion, And Determination Mr. Marquez Showed. I Found Not Just The Dealership, But The Salesman I Would Definitely Come Back To... Without A Second Thought.

I dont really know anything about the car buying process but Nick H was able to make something long & complicated seem short & easy. I havent made a purchase yet but I will definitely be back here in the future. I know a whole lot about dogs but honestly thats about it. That said, im thankful that theres somewhere like texas auto that can make this process significantly easier for someone of my mental stature.

The quickest most organized vehicle purchase I have ever experienced. It was about an hour drive out to them, but I felt it was worth it in the end. I would recommend them to anyone. Very friendly, very direct, absolutely no pressure regarding anything whatsoever with the vehicle. I got a great deal and must thank Juan Marquez for having 95% of everything done before I had even arrived.
Came in here after I was basically ignored at another lot down the street. As soon as I arrived here I felt welcomed without being pestered. I had no idea what I was looking for when I first came in. Vincent ram was quick to help me look around, ask what I was needing and looking for in a vehicle and answered any questions I had. He was very nice and knowledgeable about the cars, explaining everything in great detail. He was patient and took his time with me. One of the nicest cars sales I’ve experienced!!

I had the greatest experience at Texas Auto. With the pleasure of Lexie she was very helpful and patient with me in finding my family vehicle. She had great communication skills in making me feel comfortable on my purchase. Lexie’s knowledge in customer service was extremely professional. Overall, I will definitely be going back to her in the near future.
