Do not buy here, I bought a car here and not even 7 days after purchasing the car it had oil leak, air condition system was not working among other issues. When I told the dealership that the car was having issues all they did was give temporary patch up work to get it off the lot while leaving the customer to make the major repairs. Before 30 days the air conditioner was broken and have to keep putting a/c fluid and oil leak was worse among other issues. Before I signed the paperwork the sales man assured me the air conditioner was good in the car as well as everything else. When I told the dealership they sold me a car that they didn’t finish working on and the only response was it’s past the 60 days warranty and also they mentioned that the warranty didn’t cover the issues on the car and I would have to pay out of pocket. They just patch the cars up enough to get them off the lot and leave all the major repairs to the customer. It’s a year later and my transmission is now slipping and air conditioner still not working and I have to continue to put a/c fluid to keep the car cool during the summer. The car doesn’t shift when pressing gas and it goes slow when trying to speed up.also the a/c goes off every time the phone call is connected to Bluetooth. So that may be an electric issue. It’s been doing that since I bought it as well. Yet if you late paying the car note they don’t want to work with you and constantly call telling you to pay and they cant work with you. Told them once I was late paying because I was spending money on the repairs they didn’t fix and I was told to see borrow money so they can receive their payments. Like Direct Auto should understand that if they sell people broken cars then they need to be held accountable and make sure their customers have working cars before rushing them to pay the car notes. I still have all texts and emails sent complaining about the car issues from when I first bought this car. Just in case I need them for proof one day.

Lorraine is an idiot for lack of better words and needs to be fired for being dishonest. I will never purchase a vehicle from them again and they are so stupid I told them I'd be purchasing a 4x4 soon and it won't be from them. Also after taking it to the BMW dealer we figured out this car had a blown valve cover gasket that in turn led to my coil pack exploding and fouling most of my plugs they do not check these vehicles after buying from auction and they give them to you just how they got them not serviced, with issues, and ask you pay a ridiculous amount for a vehicle that has been in the shop 4 times in the last 2 months. I will be also filing a complaint with the BBB. I have tried to reach a manager other then service and can't. This vehicle was priced at 14,000 dollars with a 2000 dollar extended warranty that doesn't cover a thing. I have spent an additional 2000 out of pocket on repairs for this vehicle.

I visited this facility yesterday with intent to purchase a specific vehicle and was told that the purchase price was a little over $11,000, While on a test drive with the female sales person I told her that I liked the car and had the financing to pay cash. Before returning to the dealership the check engine light came on and the sales person said that she would have the mechanics find out what the problem was. Meanwhile, I waited to arrange the purchase (subject to the check engine light results). When the sales person brought the "buyers order" and presented it to me, the price of the vehicle had increased by $2,000. When I asked about the change I was told that this was a "conditioning fee" stemming from expenses incurred by the dealership in making sure the car was in good enough "condition" to sell. I was confused by this and told her I would return today. I went home and Goggled this "conditioning fee" and discovered it is a charge that some car dealerships tack on to increase the cost of the vehicle and make more profit. Today when I returned to follow-up I told the sales clerk that I should not be required to reimburse routine business operations expenses as part of the purchase price of the vehicle and that I did not won't to pay the "reconditioning" fee. She offered to discount the fee, but that was not agreeable with me. The information I found online makes it clear that a "CONDITIONING FEE" is an expense that you DO NOT have to pay. It is NOT illegal for a dealership to charge such a fee, but you do not have to pay it.

Horrible experience! This company actually changed its name because they had so many complaints under the former name. Bought an SUV from them with my own financing. Truck was nearly 30,000 and started leaking from the passenger side door. Started hearing wind coming from the door when we drove above 20 mph. Front trim around the windshield was peeling causing the windshield to shake when we drove it. Our finance company unbeknownst to us requires a welcome call to make sure everything was as reported and is in order. This car company threatened my wife with additional fees if we didn't call and ok everything with the finance company even though there were obvious issues. They threatened to come and get the care if we didn't misrepresent to the lender that all was fine. When we told the dealer to fix the car first as the contract and warranty stated, they refused and sent someone to pick up the truck. Look these guys up on the better business bureau, nothing but complaints. Its time for a class action lawsuit against this company and local officials need to be held accountable for allowing them to remain in business or atleast inspect their conduct and operations. I see some good comments. But even a broken clock is right twice a day. Overall I recommend you to stay away from this company. They are rude and self serving. They dont inspect their vehicles at all. We had to threaten to not sign the purchase agreement just to get them to clean it. This company is pure predatory. Use them at your own risk.

It appears that the business. Has deleted my original review. Please check yelp reviews about this business. One of their salesman Chris yelled at me and berated me in their lobby front of other customers because he was not happy with my review. I had been waiting two hours for them to even run a diagnostic on my car for an issue I told them about when I came to look at the car. After waiting so long in the lobby I wrote a review and that’s when the salesman came in and started yelling at me about the review. Check your contract before signing. They tried to add on an almost $3000 warranty, a detailing fee of $500 (they never detailed my car and Chris said they had planned on doing it I brought it back posted pics of the cars condition) and a $900 gap insurance fee. Neither of these fees were discussed when I talked to their finance manager Esby. I have called and no one has returned my call. I applied with them and called over the next couple of days to inquire about my application and they kept saying that they'll let a sales rep know. No one has gotten back to me. It is an hour drive to the lot so I wanted to apply before to see what the terms would be in order to make an informed decision. Very poor customer service. It does not take even a day to run an application. Google shouldn’t allow businesses to delete negative reviews simply because they don’t like them. I will be reporting to the BBB and the Office of the Attorney General. Businesses need to be held accountable.

I try to give people a REASONABLE timeframe before I start to get irritated. I filled out an application online, and spoke to a sales representative named Luis. I was upfront about my credit situation & let him know that I had $1500 down immediately but was also willing to pay an additional deferred down payment of a $1k, because I know my credit situation is sticky. Unfortunately, buying a car at this exact time is more of an emergency than a desire. I had to scrap my 20 year old Jeep a few days prior and I wasn’t going to be financially ready (nor credit ready) to buy another car til this August so this is a cram situation. When I called Luis to follow up this past Thursday at noon, he asked for an hour or so, that way he could follow up with the underwriting team. As a former salesperson and customer representative- even I knew an hour wasn’t reasonable. I gave him til 5:30PM, asking for an update. He said nothing yet. Friday morning, 15 til 11AM, I asked for another update, he stated they wanted $6,000 down. The car is approximately $15k. Why would I put down 40% of the sales price down? I could buy a cash car with that and not have the burden of paying people monthly. I expressed that concern, and the only response I got was “correct. That’s to do in house finance” No other response, no other recommendation- nothing. If you want my hard earned money, offer me something else. I’ll find someone else to pay too much money too.

This is the absolute WORST company on this planet to buy a car from. Hence, the multiple name changes & disregard for following up with complaints. Even the BBB has NOT qualified it due to the vast amount of complaints. I bought a 2013 Volkswagen CC from the 4011 Jeanetta location back in November of 2021. I was only given a warranty for 3 months (and now I see why). 9 months in, I had to replace the ENTIRE freaking engine. Prior to doing that, I replaced a bunch of things on the original engine until we (mechanic and I) realized it just needed to be replaced entirely. Fast word a few months, I’ve replaced the water pump, the spark plugs and coils twice, PCV valve, etc. CURRENTLY, it’s at Volkswagen because my AC compressor AND condenser were destroyed. It seems like every time I fix one thing, a few weeks to a month later, something else breaks down. It’s been an absolute headache and it’s sad because Volkswagen is a very good company. I’ve literally put more money into it than what I’ve bought it for & it’s like they just let it sit & deteriorate. Never checked it out before selling, never replaced anything on it before selling. They do JUST ENOUGH to let it leave the lot until it messes up AFTER the warranty they give you expires. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. WORST COMPANY EVER and guarantee, I’ll be suing for damages & the emotional distress. They need to be SHUT DOWN.

Update: DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I purchased my car in October of 2022 and by February 2023 my car was already having problems from a dead battery to the week after a flat tire and the week after that I was stuck on the side of the highway and having to take my car into a mechanic who told me my engine blew. I didn’t have my car for a full 5 months before it broke down and I Called CHRIS who is a Crook and just take your money and lie and the service manager won’t help as well. I’m having to pay 8k on vehicle repairs that shouldn’t have even be driven off the lot but instead they jacked up the car to make it look like nothing was wrong with it and will not answer your phone calls. My lawyers are involved and this whole company NEEDS/WILL BE SHUT DOWN!. Chris was an excellent Salesman Very blunt and honest he was the perfect salesman that I needed. I’ve been looking at cars for a while now and the other cars process wasn’t as easy as the process of this dealership here . When I came in the building , Chris treated me great and got straight to the point and everything went smooth and I Received my car yesterday and it drives great . I’ve also been seeing some of the reviews on here that are negative but I can’t let that stop me ,so I will update in a few months with how my car runs .

I recently purchased a vehicle from Houston Direct Auto and was dealing with Ana and Kevin. From the very beginning both of them were attentive to my every concern and made the sales process easy and pleasant. I had an issue with my bank when they put a fraud alert on my account after I tried to send a wire. Everyone at Houston Direct Auto was patient and helpful while waiting for me to resolve the issue. After looking at over a hundred vehicle's, I finally found a great vehicle and it was priced well under the Kelly Blue Book Value. I will update my review in a few months after I've had a chance to put some miles on the vehicle. I would recommend that if you're looking for a huge selection and you want the lowest price then you should stop by and check them out. They're a wholesale supplier also, which is why the prices are as low as you'll find. UPDATE: READ THE YELP REVIEWS! AFTER I WROTE THIS EVERYTHING WENT HORRIBLY WRONG! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY A CAR HERE. THEY GAVE THE SAME TEMPORARY PLATE TO 3 OTHER VEHICLES SO I FOUND TONS OF CHARGES ON MY EZ-PASS ACCOUNT FROM THE OTHER CARS. THE TX DEPT OF MOTOR VEHICLES CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THEY ARE TRYING TO SHUT THEM DOWN. THEY KEEP CHANGING NAMES BECAUSE THEY KEEP RUINING THEIR REPUTATION.

This dealership is poorly run and unprofessional. They had a Toyota Tundra newly listed on Cargurus that I wanted to buy. I reached out the day it listed (Saturday) and asked for photos. A salesperson sent me a few, and mentioned it was with the mechanic and would probably be "done by Monday or Tuesday." On Monday morning I texted him and told him I would like to purchase it. I'm in Austin, so I wanted to confirm I would make the trip and it would be ready. He said he would check when he got to the office at 10am. At 10:30 I called, and he told me again he would check. Shortly thereafter, he texted saying it was still with the mechanic. I asked to start the contract, and he said sure. I asked what info he needed, and got no response. At 3pm Monday, I texted again to check status. At this point, I had a rental car, and was just awaiting word it was ready. The salesperson said "its ready," and I again asked to start the contract. He again said, yes, and then 20 minutes later texted to say it's in the car wash and "it's been sold." No apology. I emailed the manager and received no response. I ended up buying a different Tundra in San Antonio from a dealership that was professional.

This place is a Scam! Beware… I bought a Vehicle from them on the 19th of April. By the 24 I had a issue with it. So I called to make a service appointment. To be directed back and forth till I finally drove up to the dealership to drop it off. When dropping off the car I was told to wait in the lobby. They took the keys and asked me nothing. To be approached by the General manager, to be rudely informed that I was rushing them, and it’s a drop off and might take a while. After some more time on waiting… ( sitting next to another customer with same issue by the way) I was then told that nothing was wrong with my vehicle and that they had nothing to fix. After confrontation with the manager I was basically told is “my word” versus them. Who says that to customer. Great sales experience, but beyond that please avoid this place at all cost. General manager is rude and condescending. They know how to work people… they even use google voice to hide their numbers making it hard to reach people. Scam guys and gals say away from this place!!!! Will be filling a complaint with better business bureaus!

I think alot of these reviews are fake because literally any interaction I've had with HOUSTON USA DIRECT AUTO has been the worse after I bought my car, they put on a front at first and make you think it's a great dealership and good customer service, but tell my why I have to call for every receipt when u make my payments,and when I ask them to add my payment to the Principal they don't. Then just to get my pay out amount so I could refinance and not deal with them anymore took 4hrs to get after calling multiple times, didn't include the per dm I asked for and their payment department doesnt anwser, I had to call sales just to get payments to call me...this is the worst customer service and experience with a service I have ever had, not to mention they lied about what the warrenty covers too thank god i called owl warrenty and got a refund on my own. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with anyone who works at this company anymore. I have been hung up on lies to and feel this business should be ran by someone who actually cares!!!

Yesterday, I bought a 2010 Honda Fit. Jorge was very friendly and respectful. He worked with me on pricing for the car and was very professional in getting everything done to complete the sale. All of the staff were polite and seemed to be happy working there. The car is in amazing shape for its age and runs very well. They cleaned the car and filled it with gas before giving me the keys. I've been looking for cars for roughly six months and this is the first car I came across that was better looking in person than in the pictures. They really do take care of the cars and make them worthy of being listed for sale. All of the other car dealers(including big dealerships) had cars that were rough, needed new tires, or had serious problems. I am confident that buying from Houston direct auto was the right decision and would recommend them to anybody looking for a good clean car. Sold me a car with no air bags and failed to inform me refused to give car fax till after sell and also sold me the car with a fake Amazon key. The key doesn’t work tried to get help but their shop guy said he’s wouldn’t help me for free and that is gonna cost just to refer me to a locksmith… 2 weeks after driving off the lot my airbag light turns on, they turned off the light during sale. Also i had to get a new rear differential. They tighten things and turn off light to make sales. Then when you need help they don’t answer the phone and when u go in person they make you wait in the lobby and they never come out. I have sent letters about my concerns I will be taking legal action against this company. they also stole part of my down payment and reported i put down less. Never sent me my plates and tags and lied saying they did I had to stand 2hrs at the courthouse to buy my own!!! They are all thieves and low down

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Spoke with Abel Avila last week on wanting to purchase a car. I asked him a question regarding shipping the car to my location but he never got back to me. I kept reaching out but no one was available. Finally got to speak to Daisy Garcia this week and told her that id be financing through my credit union and also cash on my end. I sent her the documents needed on their end so that I can forward it through my credit union. She said she will get on it and have it done the next day(afternoon) which was today. Afternoon passes by and have not heard anything from her so I followed up and only for her to tell me that the car just received a deposit and is no longer available. Just because they received a deposit they go with that customer. I'm a paying customer as well! and I have been trying to get this car since last week!!! Very disappointed with this company.

USA direct auto review The reviews regarding this place are spot on. If you buy a vehicle from this place, you’re going to be very sorry. I’ve owned many cars and bought from many places and this is the worst dealer I’ve ever dealt with. They sold me a vehicle with a blown head gasket. They decided it would be cheaper to put a used junk engine in it rather than spend the time and money replacing the head gasket. It took a solid month to put 2 engines, yes 2 engines in it. Steer clear of this place. Better to spend more money somewhere else. You’ll find out very quickly that immediately after purchasing the vehicle, they stop answering your phone calls. Mysteriously everyone disappears. Now I own a worthless car that I spent over $11k on. Who’s going to buy a car that has an unknown engine in it? These people are absolute crooks.

I was so excited to buy a car from Auto Direct. I had been pre-approved by Capital One and applied online. I thought it would be an easy business transaction. However, it was the opposite. Where do I start? For starters, the car wasn't even ready. I was in the service department, and somehow they forgot to mention that, even though they knew I was coming from an hour away. I was highly disappointed and will never go back. If you value good business practices, do not go to Auto Direct. They are disorganized, slow, and pretty much horrible at business. Right after that, I went to CarSquad and Francisco, the sales representative, was very professional and knowledgeable. He and the branch manager, Matthew, really made a bad day much better. I paid cash for a vehicle. During the purchase I heard multiple salesman gloating about the cash sale. Part of the deal was they would replace the roof rack covers that are broken off. The employees on average during week days take a day or more to respond. They said it’s on back order but I just ordered the part myself from Kia for $40 and it will arrive in 2 days. Calling in I received no more luck. After purchase I realized they added $550 on to the sticker price and the 500 mile coverage they said “came with the vehicle” was tacked on for another $500. Additional problems with the vehicle I found out afterwards were 4 door lock actuators do not work so the vehicle does not lock. They also messed up my temp tags so I had to spend an additional 2 hours on another day to drive back and get new temp tags.

The first time I contacted them by email inquiring about a truck online. The had texted me the next day and when I had asked for the to call me, they said that they would, but never did. I decided to go look at the truck in person and the salesperson, I didn't get her name, was rude from the beginning by telling me that the APR would be higher because it was an older truck. I told her that I knew it would be. After about 10 minutes went by and when I went to find her, she was in the back joking around with other employees. I then told her never mind on the truck. On the way out I tried to give her a selling pointer about not leading out the way that she did, but I believe it went in one ear and out the other. We won't be back even if they have the best deal.

Extremely shady business. We purchased a vehicle here and paid extra for the extended warranty and exactly 50 miles after having driven out of the dealership, the check engine light came on. Turned out to be the catalytic converter near the headers and required a $2,000 fix. Extremely suspicious that they had reset the computer on the car prior to selling so the check engine light went off. Also they used the same license plate number for the vehicle we purchased on several other vehicles which resulted in our toll tag being pinned several times for vehicles that weren't ours. Not to say there aren't good cars there or the entirety of the company is rotten, but there are definitely some bad apples and shady dealings going on. Proceed with utmost caution.

Buyer Beware, When you are ready to check out, they tag on arbitrary fees, such as 'prep/powertrain $495' & 'documentary fee $150'.. I had everything ready to go and was extremely upset that they would unethically include additional fees that were never discussed. When I called to discuss, a young man tried excusing his coworkers unethical practices. Nonetheless, I never received a call back from the supervisor, nor do I care now for one now; after the fact. Buyer beware and ask about any type of fees in advance. It should always be, price of the vehicle pulse tax, title and registration with some modest dealer fee perhaps. Not arbitrary labels with high priced fees snuck in at final moment of purchase order.

Paid $15k cash for a vehicle here in July. It was inspected the day I bought it. Said everything was good and ready to go. 2 hours after purchase the engine light comes on. Turns out the car has a bad catalytic converter, no way it should have legally passed inspection. I Turned the car in to be looked at, which took a week. Just to hear they won’t do anything, said I’ll have to pay for all repairs. Update - August, Starter had to be replaced October, Alternator and belts had to be replaced. Also found out the battery in the car was meant for a tractor Don’t waste your time or money, I heard about other people having the same issues but didn’t listen. These people are nothing but slimy scam artists and cons

Not a great company. They do not answer calls. They mention multiple things that are "included in the price" such as an $800 warranty on my car key. That could be replaced 4 times for that price. My temp tags are expired and i have called 4 times to ask today and have not gotten through to a person. Online payment option i was told would be on option when I purchased the vehicle does not work. You are forced to pay over the phone or through zelle. You do mot receive a receipt for either and they charge a 1.5% "convenience" fee. I can not look at my loan or see what i owe or figure out when my next payment is due without calling, and again, they do not answer.

DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE!! HORRIBLE PLACE. The cars are way overpriced. They tacked on so much hidden fees. Had my car since around May and im trading it in already because it's such a horrible car. Ac barely works. Engine shakes. The car needed to be worked on not even a week after getting it so I was without a car while they corrected the issue. They are so annoying when it comes to making payments most car companies give you at least a week to pay if you fall behind .no they will literally blow up your phone doesn't matter if its just 1 day or 2 . So much more to complain about but the moral of the story is go somewhere else. Don't waste your time.

I bought a car from this lot when it was called "Houston direct auto" they have literally 1 star, now that they are "USA direct auto" they haven't improved, I paid off my car in April of 2023 and then I asked for them to send me my title with an address change, when I hadn't received anything in June of 2023 I called again in August, they proceeded to tell me that they sent my title out in June but to the WRONG address because they never updated my address with the DMV, like how are you this bad at your job? They never answer the phone, they take forever to call you back, and I will never use them again

I spoke with divia who told me she would work on it and give me a call back. She never did. And every-time I call back she’s not there. A sales person leaves a note for her to give me a call back. My car has been having problems ever since I got it from here, taken it back to them 3 separate times for 3 DIFFERENT THINGS. Went there to purchase a 2500HD GMC Diesel for work. They told me I needed a co-signer with excellent credit to purchase the truck. My wife has an 800 score and they ran her credit and then tell me they can't sell me that truck but I can purchase something cheaper instead. So, they either didn't expect me to have a co-signer with excellent credit or flat-out lied about selling me that truck and now my wife has a hit on her credit for no reason. I ended up getting a truck on my credit through AutoNation a 2018 2500HD DENALI Diesel 4x4.

A week after buying our vehicle we had a flat tire that had been patched. Less than two months later the car is over heating. They make you purchase a 60 day/500 mile warranty, and claim this covers the repairs needed to get them into good sellable condition . This didn’t help us at all. I would be very cautious about buying a car from them. I will not be using this company again. Update: 4 months in. Car has major issues with the bushing and control arms. $4500 worth of repairs. Very disappointed in this company.

PLEASE I warn you, do not buy a car here! Went earlier today to buy a Volkswagen Tiguan 2020, where it was listed for 15.7k online. Went in there and they proceeded to add 3k worth of hidden fees, and took the car to inspection, just to hear that the catalyst convertor was completely unusable. The dealership just charges random prices for hidden fees as I directly called them for a upfront price, and receieved a higher price when I went into the dealership. First they sold me an car that still had a lien that shouldn’t have been sold in the first place and a year later they trade it with a car and the battery worked for 1 week. Customer service is rude. I had a lapse in insurance, when it was brought to my attention, (after a line of text and email communications) I got the correct coverage. I received confirmation letter that the info was received. UPDATE: so I called about an issue with the car, was told I'd receive a callback. It's been three weeks, no call back. I had to fix it myself. I'm glad I didn't get the extended warranty. Sold us a car with substantial hidden damage. They did not check this car, or if they did, they hid it from us. They gave us the keys and the car smelled awful. We had to clean it ourselves. The service was good, but their quality control is subpar. The car should never have been sold. Went with my kid to pick up a car he was prequalified for, but they could not find the keys. My kid went back the next day and the salesguy overcharged him so much so that his pre-approval would not work and overcharged him feom the price on the website. I came to this place yesterday after my transmission went out on my vehicle. I spoke to Abel who was very helpful. He was patient, and helped me get into a nice SUV. The customer service was superb, and Kim satisfied with my vehicle.
