This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely cafe. We ordered, pardon me if I spell the dishes wrong lol but from memory, they're SHAKSHUKA and SPANISH something eggs lol the point is, both dishes were absofreakinlutely superduerfantabolous. Coffee was really great. I ordered flat white, it had bit too much of froth for my liking (sorry I'm fussy) but this gem of a barista gentleman fixed one for me in the second go, without even me having to order it. And my wife was looked after by another gentleman who brought her some extra toast which was beautiful, crunchy from the outside and soft from the inside. that's how much attention they pay to their customers. We absolutely loved our experience. Will definitely be back for the another awesome experience.

The lady who served me today had appalling attitude (she had black hair). As I was making payment (which hadn’t connected as I moved my phone away too soon), I moved closer to the entrance to ensure my son was safe, as he just ran out the door. I told her to hold on a moment; I just need to make sure my son is safe; she kept saying you need to make payment!!!! When I came back in to the cafe she said something under her breath. I said I needed to make sure my son was safe & that I was coming back. Still had disgusting attitude while taking my payment. Fast forward to receiving our order; I put my hand out to get the marshmallows I ordered for my son. She completely bypassed me and gives them to him. Extremely rude, as I was waiting until he had lunch before he had them!! (He’s 4). I will gladly go to their competitor just to avoid this disgusting attitude, that way I know I won’t have such a foul taste in my mouth. Check your attitude, hun.

I went for a coffee on Saturday morning, asked the guy with tatoo “Can I have a bag to put my coffee?”. Then I received the first sarcasm “ How can one put the coffee into a bag??” So he gave me a tray. Since the tray is too big I decided to carry the coffee by hands and left the tray on the counter. That was the time I received the second sarcasm, “Ohhh my God!” He whispered. But he ensured that I can hear that!!! Everything else is good except this tatooed barista. He ruined my day and I will never come back. I really want to ask is this how you serve your customer? Why you have this person who is so abusive and impatient to your customers?

Perhaps there's a little more competition in the Middle Park village or "strip" these stays but this long established family run caffe and food store remains on top for mine. Among other things, they serve fresh food [with al a carte sandwiches, souvlaki's and fish n chips to name a few] and offer delicious take home options as well - all maintaining a very high standard. You can swear by the quality of the coffee too (and you can get one from 6am). There's a rumour the family has opened another caffe in South Melbourne near City Rd, I'm going to check that one out very soon.

I have eaten at this food shop for decades under the current and previous owners. I live a 10 minute walk away but the free parking in Armstrong St (1 hr) or Erskine St (4 hr), a street of Armstrong St, is always available. The staff are friendly and helpful and we are all on first name terms which I like and encourage. The menu has the old favourites as well as other menu changes most days. When you want a weak cappuccino you get it. They have nice cakes too. It is 100m from the Middle Park light rail stop.

It’s easy to pass by this place. On the outside it’s very ordinary, especially compared with some of the nearby place. Once you enter the whole feeling changes. The display of food is eye catching and the taste of the food I have tried is mouthwatering. The coffee is easily the best in the area and up in the top reaches of all of Melbourne. The staff are engaging and have some fantastic humour. When I’m in Melbourne I walk many kilometres just to get coffee and food from here. Nothing else comes close.

Never received such rude service. Dined with friends on the footpath. Girl at register incredibly unfriendly and rude. We just laughed it off but then another women came out later and asked if we wanted to order anything else, clearly wanting us to move on. There were plenty of empty tables. Never to return and neither will my friends.

Great local cafe always busy and buzzing with locals for breakfast and lunch in a lovely village setting. Take away, inside dining or al fresco under the trees. I enjoyed the fish and chips, and salad options but the souvlaki and daily specials looked good. Excellent coffee, with roasted beans available for sale and different leaf teas - the almond chai was great. Plenty of freshly baked home made cakes, bread and pastries

Wow this place is a great little find. Friendly staff that actually come out from behind the counter to greet you! The coffee is one of the best I’ve ever had and the food was super fresh and tasty. Keep doing what your doing!

This place is great! We’re not from the area and we stopped here randomly for a bite to eat and a coffee! Staff were so lovely and the coffee was fabulous!! I had a salad and rosemary pie and a caramel slice. All of which I would highly recommend! Looking forward to returning here again.
