Although I’d seen this venue many times in passing and it looked tempting to pop in for a meal, I just never got around to it. A friend who lives in the North East decided to have a roast dinner and she asked if there was a place nearby I could get a dinner delivered. Cabbage Halls name appeared and I gave them a go. Uncertain as to what the quality and taste would be like as it was a first time order, I was just hoping for a great taste. The waiting time was good and service from the delivery guy was great and very professional. The food arrived well packaged, no spillages and still hot. The food because it was classed as a take-out was in plastic trays and sauces (gravy & mint sauce) were in plastic tubs. With the dinner I was sent 3 large, melt in the mouth pieces of meat (Turkey, Beef & Ham), I kid you not, they tasted fantastic. The Beef just so tender and almost melted in my mouth. Delicious. Along with a selection of green beans and peas, they sent Roast potatoes and a small Yorkshire pudding with a stuffing ball. One good size ladle of mashed potato and carrot/swede mash. Topping it off with a delicious tasting gravy that was fantastic & rich. All in all, a great experience and one that I will definitely be having again very soon. A price of £12.95 for the amount & quality I received was worth the price. Thanks to Beverley (Manager) who I spoke to give feedback. They really deserved that praise for a job well done. Came for a meal to celebrate my late Gran's birthday. The service was really great. We got a table straight away despite it being a Friday night, and quite busy. The table we were given was a little bit sticky, but this was resolved very promptly, and Bev (the manageress, I think) was lovely. To start we ordered spring rolls, nachos and halloumi fries. The spring rolls came with sweet chilli sauce, and salad. The Halloumi fries also came with sweet chilli sauce, salad and a little bit of flat bread. Nachos came with LOADS of cheese, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Portion sizes were massive. Food was also hot and fresh. For mains we opted for pie, chips peas & Gravy. The pie was delicious, lots of meat, gravy and nice pastry. And a proper pie not just stew with a lid! The gravy was outstanding. Proper rich and delicious. I'd like to bathe in it with a straw. We also ordered The Cabbage Hall burger, which was lovely. It came with an 8oz patty, lettuce, tomato, pickle caramelised onion and cheese. It also had salad, French fries and mushrooms on the side. The burger was lovely, as were the elements of the burger. However it was very pink in the middle. I'm not fussy.. but others might be. It was also what I call a very wet burger. But it was delicious. I'd definitely return to Cabbage Hall for another delicious meal.

Had previously been in for a pre-match pint, but went along with family for lunch this time. Food was decent, lots of steak on the steak sandwich! Staff friendly, especially the manager who assisted me in bringing my grandmother in in her wheelchair, and making sure we were at a table that was OK for her. Service was pretty quick too. Only negative was the amount of litter at the front of the pub is a little off-putting and doesn't reflect the pub once you get inside, but understand a lot of that is outside the pubs control!

Food was great, came out quick considering there was a table of 10, good atmosphere. Food was lovely I expected standard pub food it was really nice, homemade chips, all really fresh. Will be going back!

Shocking prices - we always use the cabbage however we visited during a large family get together and you can't justify paying £15 for 2 pints and 3 cordials... the coridal with tap water was more than a caprisun! £2 each half glass of cordial - you don't even pay thay much per bottle when your ordering your stock. Not to mention the hair in the food which was sent back and replaced... sad to say we won't be coming back anymore any of us we will be going elsewhere down the road.

Found this place by searching places to eat near me and booked table for 8. We were shown straight to our table and ordered drinks. All of our party had different meals and they all really enjoyed each meal. Prices were very reasonable, only staying for weekend but will be visiting again before we leave. Thanks

Been here many times for food and drinks.. Came today and was served by a lovely polite gentleman. Had the steak which was alright, wouldn’t say worth £19 though. Went to the bar again after for drinks, waited a while, and two people were served before me by the same girl (miserable looking one with an accent) who definitely saw me waiting before them both. Gave up and left.

Although this is a great pub for the locals or those popping in for a pint or two, my friends and I did not enjoy our experience here. We found the staff to be quite abrupt and unhelpful and the food was very much average. Although I must praise them on the fact that their service was quick.

We recently held our Aunts funeral reception in the function room and it was excellent thanks to the efforts of Bev and her team. The room was light and airy and the toilets were spotless. The catering was enjoyed by all, especially the scouse, curry and chilli, with lots of positive comments from those attending. Sammy was a star behind the bar too. Thank you

The food was ok although we had to send the kids chips back as it had a hair in it. Ordered capri suns for the kids which were £1.90 each which was a bit pricey so ordered a half pint of cordial with water and was charged £2! Not good value for money and unfortunately won't be back

Visited twice during a weekends stay in Liverpool. Very good quality food and friendly staff. Was made to feel very welcome. Had the fish and chips on Friday and the carvery on Sunday night. Couldn't complain at all.

Nice place been coming yrs but the commotion over ordering a cheese baguette cos not on the menu just leave the steak off it like been doing last 18 months and still get charged full price! Not the issue over price of it but the 101 questions its not on menu
