When I began the exciting yet daunting journey of buying an engagement ring for my partner, Courtney, I knew less than nothing about the subject. After reading several positive reviews and testimonials online about Nick Ireland at The Diamond Jewellery Studio, I figured it was worth the visit... and I'm glad I did. Nick is an absolute gent and a consummate professional, making me feel informed and comfortable throughout the whole sometimes unnerving process. He took the time to coach me up on everything I needed to know about engagement rings (4 Cs, etc), minus all the sales speak. It became very obvious that Nick was passionate about creating only the finest jewellery, and knew what he was talking about. To his credit, not once did Nick try to up sell me beyond my budget, which is more than I can say about many others out there. The finished product is original, hand-sketched, handmade, bespoke and absolutely breathtaking...especially when it slid over Courtney's finger. My fiancee said the ring was 'absolutely perfect' and the tears of joy haven't dried up some three days later! Not only was I able to give her the engagement ring of her dreams, but what Courtney loved most was the fact that I worked closely with Nick over a couple of months to craft a one-of-a-kind piece of art that symbolised our love and commitment to each other. In short, Nick takes the anxiety and stress out of designing and creating an engagement ring, listens to your every design decision, and provides you with a higher quality product than you could find elsewhere and charges the right amount - he's a safe pair of hands. The long version - I couldn't have asked for a better experience designing and creating my fiancee's engagement ring with Nick. I would come up with the most unique ideas (from Pinterest, Instagram etc.) and Nick would provide clear feedback on considerations with each design, and find a way to incorporate them and make them happen - overall the outcome was absolutely stunning and included everything I wanted in its best form. I also need to call out Nick's unfathomable tolerance for me changing my mind... I literally flipped designs on their head every few weeks and he was completely supportive the whole way through. On top of this, the end product was excellent value for money with higher quality and attention to detail than I could find elsewhere (compared to both other boutiques and jewellery chains). The rendered images also reflected the end product identically. Value wise, I was never quoted anything which was unjustifiable (which is uncomfortably common elsewhere in my personal experience). And where I wanted to save in areas Nick provided numerous options to keep the ring within my budget. From the first moment I met Nick I could tell I was dealing with a professional jeweler who's primary objective was to understand what I wanted then deliver an engagement ring which exceeded it in every detail. Nick has a lifetime of diamond jewellery knowledge and is only to happy to share this wealth of information with you. He explained everything in detail from the band material right through to the diamond qualities. After spending many days talking with all the local jewellers getting the sales pitches I was quite relived to find such a helpful, trustworthy, honest and friendly jeweler in Nick. He was able to show me specialist equipment for inspecting diamonds to show the exceptional quality of his where other jeweler's couldn't. Nick was able to source the pink diamonds I was after along with certificates from the argyle mine where other 'Pink diamond specialists' told me the certificates do not exist. If you are in the market for an engagement ring, I cannot recommend The Diamond Jewellery Studio highly enough. Nick is a consumate professional who knows his craft to the degree you expect from someone making one of the most important things that you will ever buy. Nick allowed me to source my own stones, whilst also presenting some fantastic alternative options. He was patient, understanding and helpful to my fiancee and I as she detailed the exact ring she was after. He was also flexible to a point, whilst also being informative about the reasons behind his positions on ring design. For example, my fiancee wanted a very thin band; whilst he was happy to design as thin a band as possible, he also noted that for structural integrity purposes, it was important to not go below a certain size. He also was not pushy in the design, but very helpful in suggesting little tweaks. His pricing is spot on as well; there is no ridiculous overcharging or negotiation required with Nick, which is prevalent in other Brisbane businesses. My fiancee and I could not be happier. Blokes - if you are thinking of getting hitched, just go straight to Nick. Don't beat around the bush like I did; his reviews on here are the real deal. The guy is the best in Brisbane. I know we will be back to Nick for the wedding bands.

After a lot of research online I found Nick at Diamond Jewellery Studio. From the moment I spoke to Nick I found him extremely helpful and genuine. I spoke to Nick on the phone to arrange an appointment and told him what I was after. When I got to his office he had 3 different stones for me to choose from and Nick took the time to help me understand the features of each one. After choosing the stone I then chose the type of ring I wanted. I was not sure of my fiances ring size but based on her dress size Nick advised me what she most likely was, and he got it right, the ring fits perfectly!! It is such a good feeling to know that I had such an influence on my fiances ring. She was so happy with the chose of ring and absolutely loves the design and feel of it. Like a lot of people, I originally went to one of the main retail diamond stores and got very surprised by the price (which turned out to be the mark up). Nick's rings are of the highest quality and at a very competitive price. We will definitely be returning for our wedding bands. Overall Nick made a fairly daunting experience an absolute dream. Like most guys looking for an engagement ring, I had no idea what I was looking at. But you quickly learn about the 4 C's and other specs about diamonds and what they're worth. I set up numerous appointments with all the mainstream jewellers in the city and noticed that not one took into consideration of my budget or the style of ring I wanted and my tight deadline. They pushed hard to sell me the rings they only had on display which were extremely overpriced and not what I wanted. Don't get sucked in by their flash interiors and buzz in doors! When I met with Nick it was the complete opposite. Nick's expertise, professionalism and friendly manner really made me feel at ease. He lined up several different diamonds and settings for me to look at. We worked together to design a ring which my fiancé absolutely loves! OK.... Guys who are looking at getting an engagement ring can stop looking at other studios and sites now, this is the only one you need to know. Nick is genuinely an awesome jeweller he makes the whole task that is can be very daunting into an extremely easy task, I walked into his show room with sweat palms and walk out feeling good, he was not pushy and was very easy going. I can’t stress how awesome this was as everywhere else I went would be asking for a deposit straight away. Nick was excellent at helping me throughout my design and advised me on what would work, he came under budget unlike every other jeweller whom pretty much advised me that my design would cost me my full budget. After sales service is on point and he still greats me with the same friendly service as the day that I first walked into his studio. If you’re still reading this review do me a favour and head into his shop and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed, and yes I did shop around even in different states. No jeweller made me feel as comfortable as Nick did and his craftsman ship is amazing !!!!!

Nick is simply amazing! Prior to meeting Nick I met with a number of designers and diamond dealers in Australia. I feel very fortunate to have walked into The Diamond Jewellery Studio in Brisbane and greeted by Nick's warm smile, stylish shirt and leather apron. Nick is an absolute professional and a delight to deal with. He is highly accomplished and provided honest and open advice which was really reassuring for such a significant purchase. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the stunning enagagement ring and matching band Nick hand made for us. His craftsmanship is flawless and we're proud to see the engagement ring on his website. While I've never been interested in mens jewellery for myself, Nick made a unique black zirconium band paired with 18ct rose gold on the inside. I couldn't be happier. I cannot speak more highly of my experience with Nick at The Diamond Jewellery Studio in purchasing an engagement ring. Nick was very professional and made the engagement ring purchase (which is a difficult process) easy. With Nick, there is no agenda in railroading you into a particular ring or stone - instead, he educates and guides you in choosing a stone and then a setting that meets your budget and required design features. He provides value for money. In comparison to other similar rings for sale in retail shops, he provides an excellent quality product without the retail mark up. Another positive part of the experience was that Nick was patient and flexible during the process as my stone and design evolved. When we needed to have the ring resized slightly, Nick did this in less than 3 hours without any fuss. We will be using him for our wedding bands. Nick was referred to me by a number of friends and I have subsequently referred him onto others. I cannot recommend him more highly.

What an exception experience it was dealing with Nick. I approached Nick to source a diamond, then create an engagement ring. Not only did Nick find the perfect diamond for me, he took the time to teach me about the intricacies of diamonds. So my purchasing experience was also a great learning experience. When making the ring, Nick was able to perfectly colour match the gold to a gold sample I provided. The finished product really took my breath away. Nick is a master craftsman and his work is incredible. My fiancé is unbelievably happy with the ring. She literally said "this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen" She can hardly take her eyes of it lol! Nick was also very accomodating with my situation. I had to travel to Sydney for work. This was no issue for Nick. He was able to finish the design on time and securely send the final product to me. If you want a unique, beautiful piece of jewellery that will last a lifetime you have to give Nick a call.

My hubby surprised me by having a beautiful ring made for our 20th wedding anniversary and whilst we met a few designers, we reverted back to Nick and we were so glad we did. We Have just picked up my new engagement ring from Nick and WOW! After having a nightmare of a year with my engagement ring from another jewellery store, We decided to go elsewhere for wedding bands and nick came highly recommended by a colleague. We were so happy with the service and knowledge provided that we ended up returning the current engagement ring to where it came (it had been re made 4 times and still had issues) and decided to have Nick hand make everything - definitely the best decision! It can be daunting walking into a boutique style jewellers because you automatically think that it will be way more expensive and the service a bit pushy- not the case at alI! We would highly recommend visiting Nick and checking out his work before committing to buying in a larger store. His men's collection is also very cool if you want something a bit different that you can personalise.

Nick was absolutely fantastic. I met with him initially and he showed me some different diamonds as options, I had one that I wanted to get so Nick ordered that one in for me and there was no obligation to go with the ones he already had even though i'm sure it would have been easier for him. Pleasantly surprised. Nick was the first person that I saw on my hunt for an engagement ring. While I said I was only shopping around he took the time to show me through what to look for in a diamond. After visiting six more stores in Brisbane including some of the more door buzzing, exclusive designers Nick stood above both interms of quality and price. I've got a friend who is an expert diamond grader and she said confirmed that Nick's always got exceptional quality stock. And most importantly, my fiancee loves the ring (once Nick resized it - I guessed the size originally) - she said she couldn't have picked a better one herself. Look no further than Nick Ireland. My fiancé and I were looking for a ring for quite some time. The difference I found in Nick's jewellery was his band design was outstandingly exceptional in comparison to the other places that we viewed, and his diamonds are pure white in colour. I remember visiting a highly recommended jeweller in Brisbane and I said to my fiancé... the diamonds look grey!
