I stayed last weekend in the Postmaster’s cottage (the other half of the building) and found the Flying Apron utterly charming. I ended up dropping in twice a day for coffee and food, and the staff were always friendly and super helpful. My only regret is that this place was always so busy with locals coming and going that there wasn’t really time to linger for a chat. Everything I ate was super fresh and absolutely great, whether an egg and chorizo tart for breakfast or a lemon curd cake for afternoon tea. This is one of those places that radiates great energy - the staff clearly really like each other and are always joking and laughing with customers and each other while they are serving. They were even going to give me a swimming spot recommendation but then the weather turned cold and rainy. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

A total winner! Stopped in on a whim and what a GEM! Gorgeous French specialty pastry work, lovely small selection of pies, sausage rolls (lamb, fetta, olive the special today - superb!) made on site. Coffee was beaut . Some generously portioned and forward-thinking gluten free/sugar free delicious raw desserts on offer too (raw tahini and cacao slice, which my daughter happily consumed thinking it was a caramel slice), raw lemon slice and a chia/halva slice that left everyone feeling bloody sensational and thankful that we eyed off the pretty little place en route to Warburton. A small family run business, stop in for a pie, you won't be disappointed - sit in the back room flooded with northern sunlight; they'll serve your pie with some lovely roquette before you've got a chance to say 'how good is this place?". Then nab a sweet treat (raw or real) for the road.

Had been there recently-(Fri 22nd, 2021), I only usually stop at the Artisan bakery next-door, however, as I was parked out the front I decided to pop my nose in to have a quick squiz at this Cafe as there were customers outside under the shade of this beautiful big tree, looking as though they seem to be enjoying themselves. I'm so glad my nose was the dominant decider here as the food I purchased tasted far beyond AMAZING!!! They'd only been open for a week so I was told. The staff were all smiles, very helpful, oozing an abundance of customer friendliness and kindness no matter where I turned or looked. Thank you all for a delightful time and the beautiful food, I'll definitely be back again with friends. If I could give more stars I would!

Firstly, the service is impeccable. We were greeted with a smile by the male owner. He also added small touches to our order (two coffees, a lamb pie, sausage roll and peach and almond tartlet) by including homemade relish and adding a small salad atop our lamb pie. It shows that he really cares about his customers and takes pride in what he serves. The total came to $32 for two which, for the service, quality of food and atmosphere is great value. They also offer an excellent array of house-made breads, pastries, quiches, cakes, cookies, sausage rolls and sandwiches. We will definitely be back for other high quality food and service.

Ordered a cake for my wife’s birthday celebrations to be held at a restaurant in Warburton. Contacted Jodie who could not have been more helpful in providing advice and superior service. We were going to collect cake from the bakery on the day but Jodie offered to deliver for us. The baker did a wonderful job and the cake was absolutely scrumptious. 11/10 in our opinion

I ordered a birthday cake for our weekend away birthday trip for my son in Warburton. Everything from phone communication to the late pick up from our side was fine for them. Just so lovely people ( Jodie ) and everyone involved. Plus the mudcake we had with jam filling was absolutely delicious. Best experience.

Definitely the best cafe in the region! The mushroom & pumpkin pie is one of the best pies we've ever eaten, while the pasty is to die for. Oh, and the coffee's bloody wonderful, too. There is also a huge selection of sweets, salads and other goodies. We can't recommend The Flying Apron highly enough if you're passing through.

  • peglegsqueeks

The gourmet pie was amazing, the pastry was melt in your mouth. The staff are super friendly and service was great. The chai's were yummy and when we needed to leave they even put the rest of the chai in a take away cup for us. Highly recommended.

Tony and Jodie have created a special place. Intimate, wonderful food, wonderful coffee. Every week their display cabinet is full of the most amazing cakes and savoury gems. Do not drive past. Life is too short not to stop and drink great Silva coffee and sample food that most of us can only dream about.

  • Claire Allen

Great local coffee and an amazing selection of teas- my favourite Earl Grey in the valley! They also do a very delicious lemon curd tart. Service is always first class and friendly and the environment is very comfortable and homely. Definitely a must if you are visiting the valley!

  • The Sonsie Family Life

What a delightful place. The customer service was the kind of service where you banter back and forth and leaving feeling amazing just from walking in the door. Oh and the food!!! EVERYTHING is handmade and mouthwatering! :-)

Totally agree with other reviews - this place is a hidden gem! We've been to many cafes in the Warburton area and thought we'd try this on the way home... so much better! Beautiful selection of cakes, all sorts of flavours, quality stuff! Will certainly be back!

Small busy bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. We bought the pictured sweets and they were all delicious. Would have loved to try their coffee, but they were so busy I didnt want to risk a long wait. Service was very attentive and lovely.

  • chris lloyd

You really wouldn't expect to find a place like this in Wesburn. Excellent coffees and quality french patisserie. It gets crowded early so if you want a seat outside don't sleep in. There is a cozy room out the back if you miss out though.

  • Stewart Osborne

I called in mainly because I saw some mountain bikers eating outside. It was 1:45pm, I was in a hurry, hungry and in need of good coffee. Staff were super helpful and accommodating, offered me a tasty beef, rosemary and thyme pie and a

  • Jack McCardel

Lovely, fresh, delicate pastries. We had the Atlantic Salmon pie and frittata which was so soft and delicious. Based on the price we would have expected a side salad and sauce/chutney with the pie, which would have completed the meal

  • Samantha Hope

Such an unsuspecting delight of a place. Amazing desserts of all kinds made on site - FRESH home made croissants, and local ingredients. Coffee is roasted just down the road. I would recommend stopping here, everything is amazing.

For such a highly rated bakery the pies were a let down. No flavour whatsoever even with the relish it definitely needed salt. The pastry was fresh but the whole thing was falling apart.
