This location is in a good spot, right off of the highway. It’s a smaller than most big box stores and packed with lots of neat specialty items. The produce is fresh (true to the name) and there's a convenient hot bar with some healthy options in store. I work nearby - it's a great spot to stop for a snack or lunch when I forget mine at home. The staff is also phenomenal. In particular, it's worth sharing an experience I had today with a delightful employee named Chris at the meat counter. Chris helped me as soon as I approached the counter and was polite and attentive while helping me pick out a tuna steak. At most stores, that is where the story would end; a pleasant, but unremarkable experience. However, Chris demonstrated excellent customer service and went one step further to enquire about how I planned to use the steaks. After explaining, he gave helpful extra input, patiently explaining some of the differences between options and how that might translate to taste when I asked. After my significant other and I left the counter, Chris later noticed that we were struggling to find another item. Again exceeding expectations, he thoughtfully asked if we needed help, which we did. He took a few extra seconds to step away from the counter briefly to show us exactly where the item was. Good service is such a rare find these days that I was completely blown away by it. Give that man a promotion or something. I'll definitely be visiting again.
All was well until the experience with cashier, Hayden. Hayden has no understanding of “customer service” so I guess he was hired without any training. Your store is is classy and has classy prices. But this employee coped an attitude with me and argued with me. His manner matched his disheveled hair falling all over his face. The Walmart employees look and act 100 % better and give better customer service than your guy at the register. I had to ask him his name, his badge was flipped over so His name was not showing. He spoke in a very low mumbled voice and is a very poor communicator and sassy in response. Too many details to include in this survey. I must also comment that you have four coffee tasting urns and three of them had cold coffee and the fourth one was slightly heated. If I was the manager, I would remove Hayden from the register and assign him to work in some other capacity where he does not interact with customers like stocking or cleaning.
Went there one week ago and again today. Do not like the cashiers there. One week ago they had a sign posted that if you buy 2 of their pound cakes , you got one free. When I went up to pay they tried to charge me for 2. When I brought it to the cashier attention, she replied that she would give it to me. It was a special so she was giving me what was advertised. She wasn't doing me a favor by giving to me. That is an example of poor communication on her part. Went in today and purchased another pound cake. There was no special but price had increased from $3.99 to $4.86 today in one week. When I asked the cashier about it, she replied all I do is scan. Again a poor response. Don't expect for them to know every price but I used to work retail and if I had made that type of response I would have been terminated. Where is cashier customer service skills? Obviously they have none.
Wonderful hidden gem for groceries.Love their selections of fresh produce, and deli is delish. The meat and seafood counter is nicely stocked. Today saw Tomahawk Steaks. Great for BBQ or smoker. Oh, and the latest is their ready to cook prepared meals. Those are absolutely yummy! it's so easy to cook everything you need is there ready for you. So, on those busy nights, grab yourself a prepared meal and sit back, and relax a bit. The store is clean, nicely stocked isles and very well lite. Nice helpful staff. And we are absolutely nuts for Fresh Market Coffee. Our fav is what I refer to "Cowboy Coffee." it is Fresh Market own blend of coffee beans. Our next fav is Molten Chocolate Coffee. So what is not to love here? I don't know? So far, everything is perfect
What can I say, The Fresh Market is overpriced hipster food, sometimes they’ll have weird stuff but no normal staples... and yet I like it so much. Best store brand items: the chocolate filled croissants, the chocolate covered animal crackers, the chocolate covered puppy chow type stuff (it has pretzels and nuts in it and omg it’s like crack it’s so freaking addictive), and their flavored coffees (love the creme brûlée and pumpkin spice flavors!). Produce is also usually pretty fresh. This is also a good one to go to if you’re looking for that one weird specialty item you can’t find at other grocery stores. This location in particular is really nice since they renovated it!
I love shopping at Fresh Market and traditionally it has great food and service. At this location, I love the poke bowls which are often made to order by a wonderful chef. Today, he wasn't there and there was a woman who told me "she had other things to due and that I would have to wait for her to make it". Meanwhile, I had already stood quietly for 5 minutes and let her put out the sushi she already prepared. This location was my favorite, but it just dropped to my least. Not surprisingly, she disappeared when I spoke to the manager. Definitely avoid the rude and unprofessional sushi station if you visit.
Tonight I went to three different stores looking for garlic butter spread. Fresh market was my last stop because it’s across the street from home. I went in and asked if they have the spread. I was told no. Then the manager came up to me and said your looking for garlic spread. We have some on the back we use I’ll let you have some. I was so grateful little did he know this was the first night my mom met my fiancé children. I know garlic spread isn’t that big of a deal but the boys and my mom did the toast. It was so cute to watch. I say all that to say. Thank you. Something so small went such a long way.
I've been to The Fresh Market in Cornelius and love it! I worked the Pineville area recently and found out that a Fresh Market was near where I was working. This Fresh Market is terrible! There are flies in every section of the store! It does not smell fresh at all! It is very cramped and not organized. The workers are unkept and not friendly. As a matter of fact, there are few employees to speak of. The woman bagged all of the groceries on top of my croissants, crushing them. I was extremely disappointed. Won't be back. Won't recommend.
This used to be our family store, so many moons ago. I'm currently looking for a new store to call home. This will not be it. I bake with white corn cornmeal (called Southern cornmeal). They have none. I asked an employee, who took me to the store manager, who was too busy telling someone about how he didn't have a "wine guy" to even acknowledge me. When the core is rotten... So, no product, no service. Just like every other failing grocery store. Enjoy your march into the sea, guys. I won't be joining you.
I’ve been coming to this store for years and I’m a very frequent customer. The main reasons why I come to this store so much is because it has amazing quality of fruits, veggies, meats, candles, gourmet coffee, and best fresh the watermelon and fresh apple pies. The number one reason I love this location is the excellent customer service that I get from the staff everytime I come in. Thanks Carlotta, Tracey, Trisha, Max, Gina, Neville, Ray, and many others too whose name I can’t currently remember
I do not understand how anyone can give this store a poor rating. It is not like the typical markets you might visit. We shop here for specific items. The bakery always has delightful surprises. They sell easy meals. I look online to see weekly specials. Many shoppers may not be aware of the Saturday Specials! These stores are a luxury. In store pickup and instacart are added conveniences. Just shop online. I have not used instacart at this location. But its easy to use these services.
Small, speciality grocery store that focuses on high quality foods, meats and beverages. The butcher will do what ever you need including trimming of a whole beef tenderloin. Great wine selection, but priced higher than most stores, ok if you need just a bottle for the meal. Great service at check out and they move quickly and with a great attitude. Fresh ground coffee selections also. I hope you find this review helpful. The little big meals are a good deal. Plenty of parking also.
Wow, what a snooty black cashier who exhibited poor communications skills today, Dec 20 at 11:30 at the Carmel Commons facility. Certainly, not one trained to handle simple customer requests professionally. Maybe, the guys at the meat counter at the Providence Road facility can conduct a training program on proper customer communication interaction because they know how to please a client and understand those that walk in their facility pay their salary.
Their ground chuck makes great burgers and at $3.99/lb on Tuesdays, it's a great deal, too. Chicken breasts are also $3.99/lb. They also have good quality in-store ground pork. This particular Fresh Market is quite small, so their inventory is more limited. Their produce is more expensive than the supermarket, and I don't think the quality is better. At least not enough to justify the price differential. But, their ground chuck is excellent.
The fresh fruits and veggies are like no other store options. The meats and seafood are beautiful and reasonably priced. They have many specialties goods that you can't find in the standard grocery. I was at the pumpkin patch and stopped in for pastry for my family. I bought some canolies. The staff offered help three times in 30 minutes. The store was so clean and organized. It is a different experience in grocery shopping.
Really great and fresh produce. Has a good selection of different items that you wouldn't expect to find at a Food Lion or even Harris teeter. If that recipe you have requires something special it's definitely worth looking into Fresh Market. Their meats and fish selection is also very good. Deli prepares a lot of pre-made sides and sandwiches also worth checking out. I suggest just checking it out for yourself
Fresh Market is one of those grocers where you go in for one specific item and come out with a plethora of different items. For example I went there this afternoon to buy some nuts. I walked out with a container of fresh parmesan cheese shaved right from the wheel and a piece of sea bass. There are just so many unique items to savor and experience. Going there is a treat for me compared to my regular grocer.
This location is a much smaller Fresh Market, great for quick trips to get premade meals and baked goods. Not so great for produce as it's very expensive. A lot of the specialty items that I was looking for on this trip prices are comparable to Whole Foods and Earth Fare, even Publix and Harris Teeter. Atmosphere inside is always friendly, clean and a bit more upscale feeling than other major grocery stores.
I love my Fresh Market. It's recently been renovated and is bright and open. They still have 1.99 hamburger/chicken breast Tuesdays which means we make weekly trips. The reason for the 4 stars is the manager. All the employees there are absolutely amazing, except him. I asked for help and a product was thrown at me as he walked away. Either way, it only distracted from the experience and didn't ruin it.
I usually come here for their specials on beef, chicken, and tuna. The guys working at the counter are always super nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Their antipasto bar is also pretty legit. I satisfy my stuffed grape leaves craving here from time to time (it's def not the same quality as a place who makes them fresh but a craving is a craving )
I came here for dessert tonight. My complaint here is the same with every Fresh Market. Their employees will either look at me and not speak. They will turn their backs and act like they are so busy. They don't do this with other people. I have witnessed it with my own eyes. If not for this, I would give them 5 stars. I totally dislike the atmosphere.
Nice local fresh market. Plenty of options but lack some. I. E. I was looking for sliced cheese, like just regular cheese and it was no where to be found. Only high end expensive and vegan cheeses to choose from. They have a lot of things most grocery stores do not carry and a great butcher selection but it's pricey. Friendly staff and clean store.
They need a larger vegan dairy selection. An employee in the aisle made it appear it was a problem asking a question and was quickly snubbed. At least Violet at the register was sweet. I work in customer service and know it is key to repeat business. I probably won't come back, and you guys are only two minutes from my house.
Went in today and saw a butcher prepping raw chicken breasts next to raw hamburger patties. The two meats were touching and only separated by butchers paper. Talk about cross contamination risk! I told the assistant manager on duty. Also, the produce was rotten and moldy! This location is terrible. But my items back and left.
I've lived in the Charlotte area since 1998 .though I live in Gastonia this place is the very best meat and salads market i have ever been to.smal byt packed w all the rite foods. prices on meats were exceptional I thought, about the same as food lion or Walmart but way better not even in the same league .
They have meals put together (protein, vegetables and starch) for 2 people or 4 people that are seasoned and ready to cook. Also have 1 person meals! Or have the protein by itself and already cooked!!! Great prices, too! The hard part of "figuring out what to have and what goes together is done for you!!!
So this is an interesting business concept. If you have been to the greater Phoenix Area you will remember seeing a place called AJ's Fine Foods. This place is very much similar to AJ's Fine Foods. This is your typical upscale grocery store where things are kept in tip top shape when you walk on through.
I've bought groceries here on and off for over 10 years. Have to say this location is the best in two areas: the bakery and meat selection. Better than Publix, better than Harris Teeter, and better than it's health competitors like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Earthfare (I have shop at them all).
COMPARED TO WHOLE FOODS IT STANDS ALL GHE WAY BEHIND THE LINE!!! THE DELI SECTION HAS VERY FEW SELECTION AND NO FISH (SALMON) OR YHE VARIETY OF COOKED VEGETABLES. YHE GRAL MGR SJOILD TAKE A DRIVE TO WJKLE FOODS AND GAIN SOME BETTER EXPERIENCE.THIS WAS A WASTE OF TIME COMING HERE.
First time coming in and had a great experience. The staff were all super friendly and the sandwich my partner got from the deli was “one of the best Reuben’s” he’s had. The bakery section here also looked amazing and I regretted not getting something from there later in the day.
Small market with great selections. They have unique items that are not normally found in big box supermarkets. Their prepared foods are quite delicious as well as the vast array of good cuts of meats. This market is my go to for quality foods to suit all tastes.
I've been a customer at the fresh market for at least 13 years. I'm a fan! I love their cakes, and I love how when in a crunch you can run in and get something quick, delicious and beautiful! Customer service is spot on as well, I'll probaby shop here forever!
My wife shopping there today had a good experience checking out, thanks to Laura and Kyra who were friendly, courteous and helpful. The store could use more employees like them. Only issue was everything in the store had been rearranged so hunting was needed.
This store is litterly the best example of guest service. From the bakery to meats to produce you name it. They all go out of their way to assist and help you get and find what you need if available and present at the store. I highly recommend this location.
As a zero waste maniac, Fresh Market is closest thing I could find to reduce the use of plastics (still wish they would reduce more, especially for the bakery section). It is super expensive compared to other stores, so I buy only selected items from here.
A nice store with a good variety of high-quality products. But, prices to match. A few decent deals, but higher priced than most other grocery stores in the area. But, to treat yourself to a few nice specialty items I would recommend checking it out.
IF you're missing that special dessert for that dinner party fresh made in house by a professional dessert only chef. Every day of the week !!!! Long line but cheerful priced to high but what isn't. …
The Fresh Market is relatively small and won't likely have everything you're looking for, if you're set in your ways. The items I found were quality, though. For example, personally, I don't need a selection of dozen Caesar salad dressings
Conveniently located and nice customer service. Their family meals are always a hit. I’ve spoken to the produce manager about bringing some specific items and he was attentive and open to suggestions. They offer Fresh produce and bread.
The Fresh Market on 51 is a great place to shop. I am a whole food plant-based vegan, when I walk into the fresh market and I see that wall of lettuce and vegetables I am in heaven. Everything always looks fresh. I love shopping here.
Meat dept. , most employees are rude don't care about service, specially a person named Justin {refused to give me his name, had to ask another employee.} completely ignores clients when asked questions on meats has an attitude.,etc.
A one is way too generous the one on Pinville-Matthews Road is the worst place to go. DO NOT BUY MEAT or SEAFOOD from the there! It's always out of date the manager over that department is lazy & her coworkers are just as lazy.
Mike always extends exceptional care by greeting me personally and perfectly hand-cutting each salmon portion. His warmth and kindness ensures a great shopping experience, and a delicious meal. This store is a jewel. Thank you.
Fresh Market is one of my favorite grocery stores. I frequented the store when I lived in Miami. The people in this Pineville store are friendly and professional. I have enjoyed shopping in this location, and will continue.
I stopped in today for the first time in a long time. Frank and mark were so helpful and went above and beyond. Prices couldn’t be beat on the sales and I love how fresh their meat is. They’ve earned this customer back!
At 9am asked for thin cut pork chops , was told could get them after 1 pm. Purchased a rump roast for $19.59 which when cooked too tough to eat and I had 3 guest that night for dinner. So much for that dinner!!!!
Drive to other locations. This one has a terrible. To be specific, meat is not fresh. We bought stuffed pork chops and rolled chicken. Had to trash the chops cause of foul smell. Chicken was low quality too
This is the stop if you are looking for a beautiful fresh bouquet of flowers without the expense of a flower shop. Should be on the A list for anyone in the “doghouse” or any occasion where flowers are due.
I love pimento cheese sad that it isn't in salad case for individual serving also seems quality has fallen. Would like to see more meal deals maybe otherwise this place still rocks on deli department.
Always fresh produce. Great selection of hot foods, salads, and all sorts of food you can’t find anywhere else. Our go to dinner for Sunday. A chicken, 2 sides and rolls for $16. Can’t beat it.
Fresh Market is fabulous, love the bakery dept. Pineville Matthew rd is so nice and clean, always has everything I need. Shelves are always full and everyone there is very friendly and nice.
The food selection is great and the bakery is amazing, but the best part of the store is the staff. They are incredibly helpful and make shopping at the store a delightful experience.
The customer service at this location is phenomenal. Thomas the manager went out of his way to help me on an extremely busy day. I will come back here regularly because of this.
My new favorite are the Priscilla tomato and spinach quiches. Also the bourbon salmon. I'm a new customer so I keep finding new meals every once in a while. Thanks Fresharket.
To me presentation is everything... this place got it in a bag!! Very neat and clean. Friendly staff and to sweeten the deal its tons of healthy options. I will be returning.
I think this place is one of the best places to shop in the area. I have been always shopping here and I never experienced a bad thing. They also have friendly people here.
This store has a lot of different things that you can't find in other stores. I like to shop there. Lots of organic products as well as for people with food intolerances.
Great selection of food and cheeses. Best of all is there very unique selection of wines and beer. Check out the awesome red wines they have from Argentina and Chile!
Pricey, but great selection of meat and breads. Fruits can have seasonal special, hard to find varieties for a limited time, like Champagne Mango, or Suncrisp Apples.
Outstanding smallish grocer that has great healthy foods that are hard to find. Stuff a big box store won't carry. I am vegan & this places rocks!! I will be back.
This place reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the soup guy. "No soup for you." The deli department does great work but lacks any concept of customer service.
Always a perk to going grocery shopping is a stop at Fresh Market. The fresh options are well priced and the atmosphere can almost trick you off your to do list.
Great store. A little pricey, but a pleasure to shop. Lots of items you aren't likely to find in the chain supermarkets. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
No terrible, but the selection is limited and the prices are pretty high. I prefer Whole Foods, which offers a much better selection at the same price level.
I always enjoy shopping here because of the variety of products they offer. Always fresh ingredients, a little pricey but you can count on good quality.
Love, love, love it here! As a chef this is my go to spot for groceries! Very clean! Can't beat the quality, and service!! And freshness!! Unmatched!!
This is a nice and simple store. Not very busy so it is a nice place to grab a few groceries when you need them. Deli foods are always very good.
The new renovation is great. Good stop for butcher items and a few other things on the list, too pricey to do your entire list here though.
Smaller of The Fresh Market that I have been to. Employees were nice and store was neat and clean. Great deals and specials every week!
As always, the store was clean, neat & organized. I always end up finding more than I came to buy. The customer service was impeccable.
Absolutely terrible service at deli counter, don’t bother stopping here. They must throw all their food away because they serve NO ONE
I still love this place after all these years. Now, I take my kids with me to get some cookies and pies along with some fresh bread.
The new store manager Dave is the best thing that has ever happened to this store. Big improvement all around. Thanks Fresh Market.
Good upscale grocery chain. This particular location is a bit small, but has very good meats and a great selection of baked goods.
This place is fabulous! They have a wide assortment of hard to find items as well as lots of delicious treats. Go spoil yourself!
I love this place. Fresh produce and great selection in the butcher area. Their family meal deals are the best.
Really nice to shop there. Great seafood and Matt department. Fresh is so true. And sale prices are very nice.
I always find new food here and it's always been good. The meat department is also nice, but sometimes slow.
The employees are very friendly but this is the smaller and older fresh market store I’ve ever visited.
Always good selection of product. Employees always helpful and understanding. Deli section is amazing.
I always get myself in trouble finding too many good things here. Pricey at times but so delicious!
Store personnel very friendly. Store very clean. Would definitely recommend buying your meats here.
Absolutely the best meat in Charlotte and it's a very upscale hard to find grocery store stuff
Like their selection of organic produce and dairy products. Nice bakery. Friendly staff.
Love the selection of nuts, especially almonds. Pre-made salads are amazing and fresh.
Love shopping here. Staff is really nice and the food quality seems high.
Really nice and clean but really pricey and items are small BOTTOM-LINE
Its has great bakery goods but the rest is way too expensive.
Great produce and meat selection and quality
Picked up an order from here
