FYI: the appliance Delivery Window Estimate may be 3 HOURS OFF. We had a terrible experience today with appliance delivery when they showed up 1.5 hours earlier than the visit window because their software sent the delivery window notifications in Eastern Time instead of Pacific Time. The delivery service called while I was at work in a meeting 0.75 mile away from home (on foot). I left my meeting, ran home, but the fellow said he was leaving anyway because he had waited his 20 minutes. He said the delivery window software error was not his problem (may I suggest it's everyone's problem when you work for the company with the software issue). He did not apologize once. I pleaded for him to do the delivery because my fridge is actually BROKEN, only cooling to 53 F, we have had our food on ice for 5 days, and we were really counting on this delivery. He said he would call his manager, so I went inside to remove a couple items, and he drove away. It appeared he had no intention of calling his manager, and he did not extend the courtesy of being honest & telling me he was leaving. I UNDERSTAND he has other deliveries, but he could have told me that, apologized several times, and still left. Employees need training in customer service & communication. If the company (Temco) is having software errors, they need to figure out how to accommodate that and CALL people to tell them the correct delivery window...not just send everyone a delivery window that is 3 hours off and let it sit. Seems inconsiderate and unprofessional. If I can get a remedy to this problem, I'll post an update. Update: the manager at Temco has been responsive. The managers at Home Depot have been empathetic. I was able to get delivery 3 days later. They forgot the $30 water line I was required to buy with the fridge; and had to go to the warehouse to get it and come back. One of the Temco guys elevated his voice when I said I wouldn't sign the delivery form until the water line was installed. Even the Home Depot sales rep told us very clearly not to sign if there is any problem at all. They also over-extended my storm door and tore the metal bracket attached to the pneumatic door closer but picked up a replacement door closer at Home Depot and repaired it same day. I was promised a discount by the store manager, but they have twice not followed through on it. Update: I followed up several times and received the small promised discount. And a Home Depot customer service person called and offered to listen to me vent & apologize, but it seemed performative.
my experience is not with the people working the floors, I would imagine its the same as all Home Depot stores, takes forever to get service and nobody really knows what they are doing. Its typical for these stores.. My big issue with this store in particular is the receiving department!! I run a Logistics company and have been doing this for years and have had a few issues with appointments here and there. This store is by far the worst one out of all the U.S.A!!! We deliver loads to these stores all over the country so that the stores can have what we need as consumers.. This receiving department has the rudest and laziest people working for them and in reality should not work in any department in any store. We have delivered many loads to this store and every driver I have sent in there has had issues with the inflated ego of the tough guy that unloads them. If they do not pull in the right direction due to lack of instructions given to us by this said person they are told to leave the property until they learn how to listen to instructions. Then they move the made appointment to deliver the load to a later time. This guys then continues to downgrade the drivers and tries to make them feel like idiots by calling them names and dirty dumb truck drivers. Here is the issue with this, if it was not for the "dirty dumb truck drivers" this man would not have the things that are needed at any store!!! It takes transport of all kinds to make this country what it is!!! I have spoke to his "manager" in receiving and he is a nice guy but I assume he is also his buddy at home because nothing ever gets done.. I have to go to the "store manager" to get anything done and then its very little. Now if it were me I would have let this guy go a long time ago.. but he is still there and I as a logistics professional will never deliver to this store again until the problem is resolved..I have tried to avoid this but the issue is not being managed.. So this company will join the rest of the companies that will not longer bring the consumer the product.. That being said, we all know that the next company will come along and deliver to this store and it will continue to be a problem, but does that make it right?
We ordered items online for pickup at the Home Depot Jantzen Beach location, after placing the order we waited 4 hours before going to the store (I tried to call and see if it was ready but no one answered the phone) so we arrived at the store just around 4 hours and I was told by someone in customer service the order wasn't even ready yet the minimum amount of time it takes them to start is 4 hours so no one had done anything yet, I was then told to pick the order myself and given a pick list. When we started to pick the order we couldn't find the 10 pieces of ply wood, so I asked the assistant store manager Eric where it was as online the stock showed plenty.. He had absolutely no idea. We then go to also pick out the flooring (of which online stated the store had 212 feet of it available and also mind you you can't add this to an online order so we were going to pay for it separately) we are told by the person manning the cut to length station its in the back probably still on the truck he would speak to the manager and get it ready tomorrow for us. So at this point we just pick the items in stock and check out at customer service and start to head out before realizing an item we picked was the wrong color so we go instore and found the right one and brought it to customer service, this young man had no uniform on and no apparent care for his job he just said "I have no idea just have fun" took the wrong item and had us leave. We return the next day to get the flooring and plywood, we walk to the back to see the flooring is still not there and the same associate from the other day has no idea where the flooring is, so we then had over to customer service to pick up the plywood they tell us to head over to lumber to pick it up, the two employees in the lumber area tell us to head over to an unmarked side of the building, we waited 15+ minutes in the 100+ degree heat before I go in and finally have them find the order that was actually right in the lumber area.
I’ve shopped at this location for a while now without too much disappointment but I am experiencing an issue that really chaps my backside. I made a special order through this store several weeks ago and like usual, the delivery date had walked back a couple times which we can all associate with. The bigger issue is the fact that the item arrived a day ago but the store has nobody available to unload the truck during regular business hours (WHY?!!?!!?) nor did they have anyone scheduled for night shift which is typically the crew that unloads deliveries. The store has a night crew this evening which means my order will be unloaded then BUT NOT TODAY! All in all, my equipment will have not only arrived later than expected but it will have sat in the truck 2 DAYS at the store before I am able to take possession. This is not good business!! I really would have liked to have this stuff several days ago but that just makes too much sense I guess. ////UPDATE//// 12-5-2023 Finally made contact with a person who knew what was actually going on. She goes by M.J. and gave me the actual truth on the Where, What and When of my order. Came to find out that my shipment wasn’t even at the store when I contacted the store initially. MJ found that my order was actually at some other warehouse out near the Airport. MJ followed up with me until the shipment actually reached Jantzen Beach and called me to let me know I can now come pick up my merchandise! Redemption came at its best here! Finally someone who really cares and does what they say they are going to do and not give you the runaround !! Whatever pay and position MJ has needs to be promoted! Thank you MJ! Thank you for seeing this all the way through!!
I had such a disappointing experience with curbside pickup at this location. I ordered three of the Home Depot totes. I got a text within and hour that it was ready (great)! I get to Home Depot and park in the curbside section, there are 3 other cars parked. After 10 minutes I follow the other people and go inside to retrieve my order, because the wait was unusual. This defeats the purpose of curbside, but whatever I assumed they were just super busy. I walk in to order pickup/customer service and 4 employees are standing at registers chatting and looking at things on their registers. They were not helping any customers or seemingly swamped like I assumed. Again, that’s okay maybe they didn’t get the notification that we are all waiting for our orders… They hand me the totes and one is completely destroyed. The bottom is immediately visible as destroyed with huge gaping holes and the other had a quarter sized hole in the bottom of it. In the end I went on the floor and grabbed my own totes and left with my order!!! 1. They do not have quality control when selecting items for online orders 2. They are not aware or responsive to order pickup notifications 3. Curbside/pickup is a waste of time at this location. Just go in and grab what you need yourself. 4. The employees I interacted with nice but seemed very nonchalant and didn’t really care to be helpful
Yall need to give the dude doing returns around 3 pm today a break or treat him better. Or talk to him about how to talk to strangers. He acted like he had said that i needed a hard copy of the receipt and not just a picture 30 times before. When this was my first interaction with the complete stranger. Then after still going to process with the picture, which I appreciated and understand the need for the receipt. He then got mad at me for not having the debit card it was bought on (as it was a gift rom a relative in a different city) and literally says "see this is why i dont typically process without the hard copy" as if having the hard copy would have changed me having their debit card with me. So then I confirmed that all i needed was a hard copy of the receipt (the actual receipt itself and not a picture) and the return can be processed and i can do cash and not store credit. He confirmed this. But when i showed up to the store near my family members house after getting the receipt (again not juat a picture but the phycial receipt) i was then told that d their debit card too in order to process the ret urn for cash and not just store credit. Several hours wasted due to not being told exactly what I needed all for an unopened product WITH A RECEIPT. And treated like i had already been in here and they already told me this. Like is this even real.
I wish I could give a negative rating, so I am giving one star. I have ordered and paid for a washer/dryer machine on Feb 4th, not a rare one, and I was scheduled to wait for about two weeks before getting it delivered. One day before the delivery date I got a robot notice, that my delivery was rescheduled for two(!) weeks because of the severe weather conditions (one day of the snow weather). Two weeks later, on the updated delivery date I got one (!) missed call at 6.40 am (!!!) and then another one at 7 am from HomeDepot manager saying the delivery crew couldn’t find the parking spot (not true) to unload and they will reschedule the delivery. I begged the manager to let me show the parking in front of the building, which has never been an issue for other companies delivering oversized appliances to the same building. I rushed down only to find an empty street and meet my building manager who told me delivery truck was parked in front of the building and left. At the same time (around 7.10 am) I got a “Sorry we missed you” e-mail from HomeDepot robot. I spent the next hour to get ahold of HomeDepot customer service to understand what happened and how to get is fixed. No delivery, no apologies, no explanation, delivery crew not picking their phones and all what I got was a rescheduled (again!) for a 2k appliance I paid off a month ago. Beware.
I purchased two sets of refrigerators and two sets of ranges from their appliance department. It took the delivery company they work with 6 tries total to get us an undamaged unit. Home depot provided absolutely no support. To this day, we are still trying to have our range repaired and have had to go through multiple vendors because Home Depot will not take responsibility for terrible delivery and an absence of customer service. Bought the units two months ago. Have tried many times to get in touch with the appliance manager "MJ" but she seems to be conveniently out of office or not available whenever we call. The worst part of this all is that we still very much need to visit this store for supplies and because of this terrible experience and absolute lack of service, we are submitted to feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied every time we are required to go. Some accountability and transparency would have gone a long way here. I highly recommend any customer stay very far away from purchasing any type of appliance from this specific home depot. I will be attaching the same review on other platforms.
This review is for the Home Depot (HD) credit card, and as it is associated with the HD Company. HD offered a financial incentive to open a credit card account. The deal stipulated that for opening a HD credit card account I could receive a 10% discount on my initial credit card purchase, up to a maximum $100 discount. I applied for the HD credit card, got approved, and purchased a generator for about $1100. I should have received a $100 discount. I never received a discount of any amount. I contacted HD through four multiple methods (email, text, phone, etc.) and communicated the issue and was assured each time that my $100 discount would occur. As previously stated I never received the discount. I used to love HD but now I don’t trust the company. Now I only shop there if I can’t find what I need somewhere else. I shop a lot for tools and a wide variety of building and home improvement products so customer service is important to me. I try hard to shop where I am respected and not deceived and cheated. I think HD got too big to notice little mistakes.
Store did not update online supply levels. Because of this, I bought two fans online during the record heat weekend 06/26/2021. When I get to the store, I am told that it was their mistake. I spoke with a manager and he assured me that I would get a refund for my order by Monday, 06/28/2021. Unfortunately, they did not have any fans at that location, so he gave me info for another home depot close by that did have fans, although a cheaper kind. Monday rolls around, and I see the money refunded; however, I also see another deduction. I call customer service, and I am told that the manager lied as online orders can only be cancelled when the order shows shipped. Furthermore, I am told there is nothing they can do as of now. So regarding this location: deceitful by lying, poor customer service in stringing me along, and poor business planning as I was told by customer service that the store is responsible for updating numbers in the system, which is shown online. I will not doing business with Home Depot again.
AVOID their window install at all costs. We've been rescheduled multiple times, took time off work and rearranged our house only to get ghosted and told different info: first was for a Saturday to find out they don't work on Saturdays (why schedule then). Then for a Thursday, they called when they said they were planning on arriving and said they double booked (would have been nice to know sooner) and rescheduled for Friday; we called Home Depot to confirm and they confirmed it would happen. Friday (next day) comes around and they no call no showed; we called Home Depot and got mixed responses. We try and cancel (been told different process by different Home Depot reps) and installer doesn't get notice and tries to show up today (we don't have time as we already burned our vacation time trying to get installs done). All we want is the money back we put down and are getting a run around from multiple people. It's seriously discouraging for anything they do and causing my pregnant wife and I a ton of stress.
It's not always like it was today, but it's increasingly the norm. I went in to pick up an online order. There were not enough cashiers to handle the number of customers at the customer service/will call desk. Communication between departments was poor. Staff appear to barely know the department they're assigned to, let alone anything about anywhere else. If you have your wifi on, Home Depot provides a connection, but that connection actively block Amazon and other sites to try to make you a most captive customer. In general, the place has gone sharply downhill and I only visit it for purchases under $150. Anything business above that automatically goes to a more specialized and knowledgeable supplier. Any purchase under $30 goes to a locally owned hardware store. It's a shame, but it's a sign if the times wherein the shareholders are king, ever cost is cut, and customers are regarded as peasants who should be thankful for the privilege of shopping there (yeah right.).
I bought a very large tool box for my boyfriends up coming birthday. I almost left the store after waiting for half and hour and having several employees push me off onto someone else. The first lady we asked for help told us to go find the person in isle 21 and was very put off by us bothering her. When we went down the isle no one was in it to help. Finally we found another employee and asked her, she didn't know what to do and said she would call for loading assistance. Ok great! We waited for about 20 minutes and no one came. My boyfriend went to a register and asked if we could drag the box up ourselves to pay for it. They said no problem and also offered to call for some one to help us load. Again took a very long time for someone to respond. The young man that helped us was very nice and did a good job. If my boyfriend didn't really really want that specific took chest I would have taken my business to another store.
Not enough associates on the floor on the weekends. After 10 minuets waiting for an associate to be free asked him if he would cut a plastic trim in half so I can load it in my car. He sent me to another person, then the second person sent me to another one. Had to wait about 20 minutes while a tall associate lady was helping and chit chatting with another lady to select a washer from a supply box. I asked her if she would cut the trim for me, but she sent me to another aisle telling me there is saw there and go ahead and cut it your self while she was free and no customer being helped. There is no a big flat table that I could lay down the trim and measure it correctly to cut, plus I didn't have my reading glasses with me, then I didn't know what type of the saw to use. Is this called customer service, next time should I send my grand daughter to be helped by your staff and have a long chit-chatting with them.
I have to say that it has been a journey and it is still in process. I have ordered a total of 13 pallets of concrete cobblestone pavers to complete a project. Our biggest project yet! It hasn’t been an easy ride but the employees in the Pro shop, customer service and even the store manager Mike Roma have been great. I’m not always the quickest to grasp things so having them take their time with me, show patients, understanding, and explaining things to me when I’ve been frustrated has made me a lifetime customer. Our home is 110 years old and we have been working on it for 20 years (our labor of love). We have many projects ahead of us I’m sorry to tell you, “My Home Depot Team”. You will be seeing me sooner than later. Just please don’t run when you see me coming!!! I need your HELP and you know I do!!!!! The Short Family Thanks you for all you have done. A loyal customer, Mary Short
This Home Depot is great for grabbing a relatively cheap box of screws or some wood for a home project. I've driven down here many times for those couple of items I realize I'm missing for a home project. That being said, do not trust the in-store inventory claims of their website. A couple times I've come in looking for a more specific or hard to find item that the website says is in stock at this location, only to find out it's not actually in stock after I drive down. An employee once told me that these inventory discrepancies happen because they experience a lot of theft here. Speaking of employees, they are generally friendly and knowledgeable, although it can sometimes be hard to find a free one. Also, examine your wood for defects carefully before purchase. I always check and have still ended up with pieces that have splits or knot clusters, etc.
Most of the staff are great so this review is not a reflection of their customer service, which has been mostly great. Unfortunately this store seems to have issues keeping very basic items in stock... on multiple occasions now I've drove out there specifically to purchase items that I had looked up online and had showed as in stock at this specific store at most 1-2 days earlier. I don't know if the website is just consistently wrong or if this store just keeps very low stock of commonly purchased items, but the result is the same- there's never any guarantee they're going to have what you need. I should not have to go to two or three different Home Depots in order to get all the supplies for a simple DIY project. I'm a renter and mostly doing basic maintenance type projects so it's not like I'm trying to purchase vast quantities of building materials.
We have spent a lot of money here over the years but I am fed up with the poor customer service we have received lately. This morning I was on hold for 20 minutes trying to find out if a particular item was in stock and was never even able to speak with anyone in that department. We have also had multiple occasions when we have gone to the store and been unable to get what we needed because we were told the person in charge of the item or service was on break or not working at that time. We also tried to buy an appliance which appeared to be in stock when viewing online, but when we got to the store were told it was not in stock and they would charge us shipping even if we came back to the store to pick it up. We left and bought it from Best Buy. Please work on your customer service, you have started losing our business because of these repeated issues!
I don't want to do this review because I have to be negative. If you look my reviews are 4 star+. I went there to get 15 items and 15 fails is what I left with. Then they barricaded me on the last isle just as I went to come back. That whole isle except a small section at the front was blocked. They can't wait 15 seconds for me to pass. Yet it took them 15 minutes to get started. When I got back up front for the price check I asked for 30 minutes ago they hadn't even considered it. People at the self check out where complaining all over. Then I realized I was not just having a bad day. Lowe's always has what I want.. Ok almost always. Not bothering with Homedepot anymore. Stupid me went there again because I was shopping right next door. Again mostly fails. I did get 2 items of my list. Have to find the positive.
Masks are optional here in the midst of the new Omiron variant. I asked the customer service rep. about he policy: The most they can say to a customer is "we have masks available for you." This variant has particularly hight numbers in WA which is on the doostep of this location. Many in my family are at risk of complications. I went in made my return, noticed the lack of masks on several customers/people who don't understand the cover your nose too, and left as fast as I could, w/o the rest of what I came to buy. This is not the first time Home Depot (PDX Airport) location employees ridiculed us (this before vacciences were options) for asking for a little space/help w/a product on a high shelf. Home Depot sends a clear message that they have no regard for the health and safetey of their empoyess & customers.
This is going to be a weird review.... I went to target to pick something up and then my husband asked me to stop at the home depot to get some Plants and grass seed and clover seed for our yard. I had our 10month old with me and right as I was going to get out a homeless man knocked on my window asking for money looking and sounding tweaked out as hell... now don't get me wrong I just told someone at target I didn't have cash but this guy knocked on my window where my sleeping 10 month old was... anyway I called the store and two VERY angry looking security guards stormed out looking for him just because I told the manager I felt unsafe. 10/10 customer service. The issue with homelessness isn't the store's fault, but the way they respond to someone who felt threatened was beautiful.
Ordered appliances September 5th, after waiting over 30 minutes for help in the appliance department, only to be helped by someone who was rather direct and not helpful in the least bit. We were told we MUST pick our items up on the scheduled date or risk damage to our items. If our items are damaged from their warehouse they are not at fault, it gets "crowded and may be dented by a forklift driver". This of course was disclosed after purchase. Our instore pick up date has since come and gone and we are now told it will be another 2 months until they receive our items. We understand the delay due to current events, like covid but the lack of customer service l has left us rather disgusted. Wish we could have the option to cancel the order and take our business elsewhere.
Plenty of parking like most home depot's, service is decent to good with the exception of the cameras they have in every isle that start beeping and record you after just a few minutes of being in the store like your a thief. not saying I don't understand why they do that I do but just know that they only start if you've been in the store for more in a few minutes and I've walked through a few isles like they're tracking you if you don't get your stuff quickly and get out they start recording you. makes it very uncomfortable to shop. so that is why I am only given to stars because of how uncomfortable it is to shop at home Depot because of those cameras. Otherwise with customer service, amount of parking and prices I would give a four-star.
The parking lot attendance attendance that Home Depot are very rude. I was putting my makeup on before entering the store and one of the parking lots customer service Home Depot employees would not stop staring at me rudely as I put my makeup on before going into Buy $775 worth of merchandise it made me so uncomfortable I had to move parking spots. Actually I was unsure at first if it was a lecture or one of those men that expose himself publicly before I realize no he was just someone that Home Depot has sit in their car in there in their parking lots to make sure people aren't stealing outside garden supplies I guess. I just found his staring was very rude and unprofessional considering I was going to go spend almost $800 in their store.
I hold a Personal Credit Card and a Commercial Credit Card and the last time I tried for over hour to get log in on the Home Depot Catalog and had to go thru Lowe's Home Improvement catalog to order my purses of two shower heads filtered shower heads for hard water that's pretty sad when I got two credit cards at Home Depot Home Depot I don't know if they are Under New Management new owners or what but they have really gone downhill I asked somebody something in they will walk right by me like I'm not even talking or I'm talking to myself or a employee will be walking towards me and they know I'm going to ask them something so they'll Dodge down an aisle so not real thrilled with Home Depot not in the last year year and a half...
There’s no shortage of incompetence here! Tried to rent a rug vacuum, and the person helping me did anything but help. She had no idea how to rent out equipment, had no idea what a rug vacuum was, had no idea what buttons to click on her computer to initiate the process, had no idea what attachments were needed, had no idea if I needed soap or not… basically she was an empty vessel with no knowledge or experience. She may as well have been some random NPC that Home Depot picked up off the street, given an orange apron, plopped in front of a computer, and told ‘now pretend you work here’. Ended up canceling the order because I could not deal with the many levels of incompetence I was subjected to.
Too many times I've gone here to purchase something that I've found in their app, shows ample inventory of the item only for me to get to the store and not be able to find that item. Employees are unable to find it either and usually give me the excuse that their inventory is probably wrong because of the amount of theft they have. Then proceed to do nothing about the incorrect inventory. So those items essentially never wind up back on the shelves, unless they do some sort of actual count on products, which a lot of retailers like this only do once or twice a year. All the while, the prices keep rising due to this theft that apparently the employees really can't and don't do anything to prevent.
Usually the Jensen Beach Home Depot has excellent service and will always assist loading my truck. Today, however was a different experience. Poor customer service today. Garden center cashier refused to help me. When asked if she could call someone to bring me a bag of sand from across the store to the garden center she stated that I should walk in the store and ask someone myself. There was no one else waiting in line. The employee was just standing there. I explained that I was a disabled veteran and had limited mobility. This made no difference to the employee. I eventually called the store manager from my cellphone and he apologized and had the bag of sand brought over.
Normally, I would give a good review since they have many products I need. However, with statewide mask mandates and omnicron variant at its peak, it was super easy to notice that there were a lot of customers not wearing masks. I asked a manager about it, and he shrugged and said that there isn't much they can do. I suggested to him that employees offer a mask to customers without one and if the customer refuses to wear it, tell them to leave the store. He just blew me off and went about his day. I guess I will be going to Lowe's from now on. Home Depot advertises that they are for protecting their employees and customers, but that is not the truth. Rediculous.
Going on record this is my last visit to this store! Last time I was here they sold me some bags of bark chips, assuring me that they had them in the parking lot. After I sat out there 20 minutes trying to get somebody to come and help me find them, lo and behold no they don't have them after all and I have to go back inside to get a refund! I came back to return something from that trip and I waited in the customer service line for 15 minutes. I was the first person in line. They were helping 2 people those entire 15 minutes without moving the line at all and without calling for help! I simply cannot support this level of terrible customer service any longer.
I'm not usually too impressed by Home Depot but Doug (the assistant manager, I think?) provided AMAZING service on a recent visit. I was looking for a product supposedly on the shelf, but there weren't any. Doug looked everywhere for one, called another store, put up with being transferred and on hold forever, and finally found out a different store had the product on the shelf. He wasn't just twiddling his thumbs while he was on hold, though. He was opening boxes, cleaning up displays, etc. And he was really nice and apologetic. Home Depot should give him a huge raise because he's the kind of employee that companies should try to hang on to.
App indicated over 30 CO2 detectors that I wanted in store. Could not find them on the shelf so went to customer service. They confirmed their computer showed the quantity in stock but no location in computer. They called for someone to meet me in the aisle but that person had just gone to lunch. Fortunately, a conscientious young employee worked hard to find the product which ended up being in a different aisle in a shipping box 15 feet above floor level where they had to bring a motorized lift to access the box. Home Depot usually pretty good but if you have a product, especially one on sale, it should be accessible to the customers.
Went to Home Depot at Jantzen Beach this morning. I literally has $2,000.00 cash in my pocket and was looking to buy a Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher. I was there for well over 30 to 45 min browsing. During that time, Not 1 associate asked if they could help me. So, I asked a kid that works there if anyone could assist me. He said no one was there that could. Your telling me that you dont have one person that knows how to sell an appliance !! Eventually I left, and now am ordering everything online from Lowe's. Home Depot is losing alot of money from people who are willing to pay. A little Customer Service would go a long ways !!!
Curb side pickup is a joke. I’m an essential worker at a nearby hospital. Placed my online order on Friday. Stopped by Tuesday to pick it up due to work. Waited over 30 minutes before the associate helped me.... an hour in and I’m still waiting for my merchandise that was “ready” Friday evening after I already was home from work. Also as a disabled vet I gave up my discount for what should be fast and seamless. Call to the store yielded no results. Other vehicles have literally left within 10 minutes of pulling in. Don’t bother calling like the email and text say... an associate will be with you “shortly”
Hats off to all of the employees at Home Depot in Jantzen Beach. During a recent visit, our young grandson ran around a corner and I lost track of him. After two quick laps through the store I notified the first employee I met. She put out an APB which resulted in every employee and security guard going into action. They immediately covered all the exits, searched the parking lot plus everywhere in the entire store. They located him within 10 minutes and reunited him with us. (He had gone to the restroom) They all showed an amazing level of professionalism and preparedness for which we are grateful.
We placed an order for roofing and all the accessories online, which was cancelled two days later. All materials were reported "in stock". A call to the Pro Desk allowed us to reset our order, the pick up of which was delayed over and over for a week until it was again cancelled. Ultimately, the store is reporting materials in stock they don't have and can't fulfill. The online order cannot be trusted. This has happened at the Jantzen Beach location and Troutdale location. When in the stores, many of the associates can't fulfill orders or confirm stock due to lack of knowledge of the material.
As of Sept 2022 when you try to exit and GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY they block you with a horrific, confusing, slow, unfair and frustrating checkout process. There's only one checker because apparently they want most people to do self-checkout. However there is no clear route for people to wait and shuffle through the self-checkout stations. This led to people being confused and not knowing who is next. The more aggressive people seemed to take advantage and snake their way into a register while I watched little old ladies get frustrated and wander around trying to figure things out.
Sunday, 6/20/2021 8:00 AM; This morning I took a trip to the Jantzen Beach location to look for a generator (their website listed seven in stock) and spent a half hour going up and down the aisles trying to find them. During this time we never encountered any employees to ask. So we went to the "Customer Service" counter where a couple of employees were standing around yakking while a few customers were in line waiting. After the employees finished their conversation they found time to help the people in front of us. Upon our turn they said they didn't have any. Well, alrighty then.
Not a very friendly or helpful store. When checking out, I purposely came to a self check out, and was interrupted by the person “running” self checkout to ask if I was paying cash or card. Didn’t need that help, but I said card, and she directed me to a manned register. I very clearly said I don’t need that, I am fine with self checkout and she said they would need to help me. Everything I had was barcoded, nothing was custom or special. It was frustrating and makes me want to find a different building supply store, where they actually listen to you.
This Home Depot has definitely gone downhill in the last couple of years. The staff seem like they would like to do anything but help you and most of them don't even seem like they like their jobs. I do have to say that in the paint department however the staff are extremely knowledgeable and kind. They answered my questions even though I was acting like an idiot. They seem to have no problems answering questions that seem like an answer should be easy. They were very professional and kind. I kind of wish that the cashiers would take note from this.
No help finding anything I needed. No electrical tape, no bungee cords, no re-usable zip ties, and key making machine was out of order. Left without buying anything. Neither employee I encountered could point me in the direction of any of these items. Also stopped at another Home Depot before this and it was exactly the same, including the machine being out of order. "Can I help you find anything?" Goes a long way. Would have spent hundreds, spent nothing. Also, from what I saw, items are way overpriced. Gonna stick to Harbor Freight from now on.
Was at the Jantzen beach store today and went to check out. There were two employees chatting and one directed me to an aisle. No one was there. I didn't notice it was self checkout. I was standing there waiting and an employee walks up and asks one of the other two employees to help me as they had gone back to chatting. She said it is self checkout very rudely and proceeded to walk over to help. She continued to be rude. Very disappointed in lack of consideration. I have not been out much and didn't realize it was all self service now.
I was singled out because I went to pay for my batteries and some other materials and. Before I was able to pay or even make it to the past the cash register. I was apprehended and I was told that I was a thief before. I even made it to the front door and I was not was not written any citations because I believe they didn't have anything on me. Is other than a s*****? Claim and I we'll never ever look at this place again. And I don't deserve to be Called a thief when I didn't even make it pass the address register or even to the door.
Tim in the appliance department is amazing. We have also worked with David who is great as well. I've gone there multiple times and have received great service. These guys are knowledgeable and will give you their honest opinion. They take their time and do not rush you. Onto of the A+ service, they are not even commissioned! I bought multiple appliances. They price matched a competitor and made it easy. Great job to the manager for hiring good helpful people. Love the ship to store option even if it is not available online. A+++!
I feel like I am always here. Not all Home Depot’s are the same, similar yes....but not the same. The Sherwood Home Depot is easy to navigate, has tons of parking unlike the Store in Tualatin. Great amount of appliances, lawn equipment, paint department and lumber options. FYI, lumber pricing, material prices and delays in stock is a legit thing. So if you need anything, ask the Pros at the Pros desk for help. Love this place. Below is my favorite color of interior paint. Silver Screen and Light Lichen
I went to the store last week to get a big size of woods.it was about to close the store. But I had to ask to cut the wood, because it was too big for my car. The lady was very kindly cut the woods and she never lost smile on her face. And she even helped me loading the woods in my car. Her name is Surett. She was the best, kindest employee of the home depot. In fact I left review last year with three stars due to very rude employee but Surett made me switch to give five stars. She is awesome.
Tried to use them to install/replace a storm which I bought from them 2 years ago ok so I bought a cheap door. The advertise 218.00 for an install but when they bill you it's 60.00 more for modifications. I call it a bump you installed the first door, there installers come to your house measure then you have call home Depot everyday to find out what's going on, they even told me they would not warranty the item. Then you going in to pay and the 344.00 dollar item is now 425.00 I'll try Loews.
"MJ" who apparently is someone in management, is just flat out rude. When asked by a fellow associate who was new that was trying to help us check out, she got very upset, and refused to be of any help. My wife was so surprised and appalled by her behavior, we unloaded our cart and left everything there without purchasing a substantial amount of items. This store needs to be restructured, as if that is how management acts, its no wonder they have a hard time finding or keeping good employees.
Wanted to buy a washing machine, the lady in that section did acknowledge us and said she would be with us as soon as possible shi was helping someone, about 20 min passed and she came back and apologized and called for assistance for us, no one came. There was another woman in the cabinet section who never even looked our way.We waited another 10 to 15 minutes then decided to go elsewhere. I spoke with the manager and he was exactly what I expected. They were under staffed for a holiday.
I went in to pick up some stuff for my work project, I wanted to be in and out of Home Depot quickly but this woman named Christina would not stop talking. It’s one thing to talk about what I’m coming in for but To just speak your mind so freely like that when someone obviously doesn’t care is pretty annoying and selfish and ruined my whole experience. And believe me I love talking to women but that woman did not know when to shut up, I feel bad for anybody who Has to work with her.
The blind cutting machine was broken. Main thing I went for was blinds. When checking out apparently they had no more bags. So annoying having all loose little items rolling around in your vehicle while driving to job site then having to haul in only a couple at a time because you have no bags, and then searching for the missing items because they rolled under your seat. Way to drop the ball Home Depot. I knew I should never shop at this Home Depot. Always go with you gut feeling.
Home Depot is always my go to for things needed for my home. Things like door locks, paint for changing the color of my bathrooms. This past week I needed some cedar planks to replace some on my back gate to the back yard and they had them and was easy to get and get out threw the check out in the lumber yard check out this is a place I would recommend to anyone doing a diy project always easy to find what you want and sometime things that are just a spur of the moment thing.
Logical layout without the glitz of Lowes. Bought blow in insulation here some time back and they let us use the machine without charge. Plus & minus to everything. I saw recently that they are selling plants that harm bees. Before buying, do the research. Our handyman gets most of his supplies here so most of our insulating windows came from here. With ID veterans get 10% discount here as same as Lowes. We found they have designated a few parking spots just for vets.
I’ve used curbside pickup twice at this Home Depot. The first wait was 20 minutes and the second was 30 minutes. I went in and they had three working in customer service, I had less than a 2 minute wait in line. They weren’t checking their curbside notification. They also weren’t answering phones as I had called and been on hold for over 5 minutes. Walking up the phone was ringing and they were just ignoring it. Seriously, not thrilled with this HDs customer service.
Went in to buy paint and the guy behind the paint counter was overwhelmingly unhelpful. Asked him if they had samples so I could see what it looked like and he said I don't know. After pressing him more on it, he picked up a sample booklet right under the paint can and said those were the samples. When I asked him if the paint would have the texture shown in the swatches or if those were meant to represent the material he just shrugged and said I don't know.
Home Depot has some great products, however their service is very spotty. Sometimes it can be good, however like this week, I ended up once again contacting store staff to help me with a carpet order. They are GREAT if you ever need help!!! However, it seems to me that ordering 12 feet of carpet should not need 5 phone calls AND then a call to a manager. I love the carpet I found & it was at a decent price. Just was a little difficult to finally purchase.
Curbside pickup compared to the other box store is phenomenal! Night and day! I thought I fell asleep and woke up in first class. Told the app I was on my way, and the employee was at my car in under 30 seconds of my arrival. I'd say it might have been 10 seconds! I only give 4 instead of 5 stars because I've tried returning things in the past and it was a nightmare. Also getting help is a nightmare. But if you know what you want, and got the app.. wow!
Customer service at this store is exceptional. I have a bad habit of sliding in 20 minutes before closing and no one is ever short with me. Tonight I discovered upon arrival that I had a flat. I bought an emergency compressor, and the manager helped me figure out how to use it and made sure I was on my way even though the store had been closed for almost an hour. He also had good advice about the type of Jack I shoukd carry and other safety tips.
(Outstanding employee) I walking around in circles trying to find help waited at pro desk no help , waited in line no help, waited at customer service desk no help. Then I found Adrianna she stopped what she was doing I explained to her about the issues and the urgency she completely took care of business put the customer first, outstanding attention to detail and a get it done attitude, residents hot water restored. thank you Adrianna!
Big box store is of DYI. Either you find someone to help or you don’t. Download the app it will tell you all you need to know. Better than Lowe’s but I still pop open my Lowe’s app just to compare and 95% of the time I either go with Home Depot or order it off Amazon . Staff can be helpful with actual information from time to time. Find one that looks like they are working their to get the discounts on their own home projects.
From the associates who helped me pick out my washing machine to the amazing delivery men (Josh and Avi). It was the best experience I have had with Home Depot. The delivery men were so nice and explained everything to me and even went beyond that help and told me where I can find moving straps like theirs. Josh and Avi were the best! Thank you all for a wonderful no stress morning. I get to do laundry again at home, yay!!!!
As others have noted the service at this location is not great. I came here for a curbside pickup order and waited forever. I called the store and after many rings, an employee finally answered. They said they would contact their curbside pickup person. After that I continued to wait for a long time. I also considered canceling my order. The wait time was unacceptable when other large stores have managed to figure this out.
Sorry home depot but this was awful today. The lines were backed up and only one checkstand open in the pro Lanes. Another clerk came out but spent 20 minutes to prepare her register. Then some one walked up with a question. Another ten minutes. I'm the meantime the waiting line grew down the aisle, almost to the center aisle. No one was called. No one took an initiative to step in. They're usually so much better.
Terrible place to buy an appliance! Delivery is weeks out, then they can't tell what time of day it will be delivered, then it's a 4 hour window, then, in my case they didn't deliver it but sent me a text to reschedule after waiting the entire day for them! Next available delivery date is weeks out! And then if you want to call them about it, it'll ring for 10 minutes and then you'll get put on hold forever
276.00 each quote on blinds i can buy at homedepot website for 152.00 each. Felt like i was at a used car lot . Ask 3 times to make sure it was the same brand ect ect. Somebody should give them some more training??? I dont even know. Anyway I'll buy them at homedepot.com and have them shipped to another store just to avoid this one. 2 stars just cause they were nice while trying to take me to the cleaners.
It was a mad house and no one to help on the floor, aisles were so full of things it was single file. I had to go to customer service to pay for trim for pick up tomorrow by the contractor and the girl there kept having to get help from someone else to make the order. She also left to go get something for a different customer that was behind me. No apology for walking away. Not a good experience.
This Home Depot almost always has what I need and the staff are mostly helpful (usually only failing when it’s super busy). Quality varies on materials but I can usually get by with what I find. Ordering online is fairly straightforward although I’ve had iissues with my address being invalid and not being able to change it resulting in having to wait for the postal service to return items.
Had a curbside order pick up say it was ready, when I got to the store I waited about 25 minutes before calling the store to see where my order was. Thankfully someone answered and let me know they were working on my order but I shouldn’t have to wait 50 minutes for an online order pick up if it’s already “ready”. In that time I could have gotten in and out of the store with what I needed.
No tool rental at this location yet the phone line let's you select it then waste 10 minutes of your life waiting patiently before you call back and speak to customer service to find out they are too busy dealing with people trying to steal everything in the store to rent you tools like every other location. Simply update your system, you are a 155 billion dollar annual revenue company!
I had a weed wacker that had broke and I did not have the receipt so I called this home Depot and told them about the situation and they did an even exchange, took my old weed wacker and gave me a brand new one in the box no questions asked. When I got to the store it was already at the register for me. Great experience, Awesome customer service... I will only go to Home Depot...
This Home Depot location seems to be a bit more run-down and cluttered than many of the other locations, but it's not as bad as some Home Depot locations I've been to. There's plenty of parking, and employees are helpful, when and if you can find them. One employee even took me directly to the aisle, shelf, and item that I was looking for when I asked because I couldn't find it.
I brought chalking this week to use this weekend. When I noticed I got clear instead of white. Went to customer service and ask to swap for the white. Gave me a instore credit but not the price l paid .I had to pay more for the exchange. That is the last time I let a big box store chump me .Never buying anything from them. And since I buy for my company too...never again.....
Rude store associates and they refused to help us purchased a 300 dollar tool set. All the store associate had to do was unlock the security lock. We were told that only one person is the whole store could possibly unlock it and he was busy. The store was not busy! Many workers were standing around and avoiding eye contact with customers! Would have liked to give zero stars.
Unacceptable wait times for service and order pick up. Plenty of able-bodied employees all over the store while I patiently wait for an “order picker.” The service person was with us for the first 30 minutes and then went on break while I stand here waiting for an order I was told was ready. Curbside pickup consistently takes forever. I guess it’s time to switch to Lowes.
I’ve been renting a lot of small machinery from Home Depot lately. The process is pretty easy. Just go back to the rental department and have your drivers license and a credit card. They’ll put a deposit on your card and then charge you the rest when you bring them back. Obviously it’s Home Depot. You can get all the tools. Anything you need here for the most part.
The fridge we ordered through this location was rang up incorrectly. I tried to call the store. Called in 7 times. Not an exaggeration. 4 times it rang and hang up in its own. Then 2 times they transferred me and hung up. Then on the 7th try I got a manager, who said I have to take it up with the credit card company. Try the Lowe’s down the street, better service.
Their employees don't really know the inventory of the store very well. Also the pro desk is always empty and it takes a long time to get service. I left early today cause I waited too long for a pro desk employee and as I was walking out I observed him outside the store watching videos on his phone. I would recommend either Parr lumber or a different home depot
Their website said this particular store had 53 of the item I needed, but that it was only available at the store -- ship to home wasn't an option. When I got to the store, nice associate said, "wow, I haven't seen any of those in a long time." The store didn't have *any,* much less 53. (The two stars are for the store. The associate did their best to help.)
This location sucks. I’m right in between two locations and Only go here to save sales tax. Otherwise their service has always been horrible and ordering online thorough them is a nightmare. Vancouver location is much better. Orders are correct and actually in stock. They have associates that actually greet and help you. Cheers to Vancouver’s store manager.
The business is not a bad place but I don’t like my money spent there going to ANY political candidate or political position. “Marcus, who cofounded Home Depot in 1978, has become a mega-donor to the GOP over the years, supporting Trump's presidential campaigns in both 2016 and 2020. Has donated multi millions of dollars to the Frump Presidential campaign.
I was here on 9/21/18. Home Depot always makes me feel like they try to pack too many things in the store and this location was no exception. It is hard to move around with a wood cart and lumber on it. Lots of things in the isles. Anyways, with all that being said, the store seemed clean enough. Customer service was satisfactory. Pricing was competitive.
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. So did EVERYONE else in the area. Still was a pleasant trip. I got to see a few really cute dogs, checked out the Halloween 50% off sale. Of course I found a few things I couldn't live without.. So I spent more than I had planned. Checked out in the garden center and was on my way with all of my new treasures.
This is by far, hands down, the worst HD in the Portland metro area. Need an employee? Forget about it. Ask someone for help? You just seriously inconvenienced them and interrupted their gossip time behind the checkout register. Not worth the hassle. Customer service is bottom of the barrel here. I will take my business to another store.
Ordered some masks for curbside pickup. The Home Depot curbside check-in page never loaded, and when I tried to call the store the first time they hung up on me, and the second time let it ring for two and a half minutes without answering. I went home without any masks, cancelled my order, and will shop at ACE or Lowe's next time.
I used their website product text for the first time. I found what I needed, selected text to my phone and was sent the aisle, row and bin number. No wasting time wandering around looking for help. The store was clean with weather appropriate merchandising up front, fans, air conditioners etc. Our cashier was friendly and fast.
They call and said my order was received so I went there to pick it up. Two hours later they say they can't find it. So they have to reorder for me except I call the next day and they did not reorder. Said I picked it up but they never found my solar panel. I guess I'll have to call every day to see if they reordered my panel.
I waited 15 minutes for someone to cut a board. Finally had to hike back up front to wait 5-10 minutes more while they hunted for someone with the code to cut my board. Finally informed no one had come to work that day who could cut my board but if I wanted to come back in an hour someone should be there who could do it.
We shop the Jantzen Beach Home Depot all the time and are always pleased with their selection. We do mostly DIY projects, but recently bought a freezer and had it delivered. The delivery team was on time and friendly. We were very pleased and would like to give them credit, but can't read signature on delivery ticket.
Absolutely the worst Home Depot in Portland metro. Everything is either locked up or on the top racks and apparently only one person in the whole store has the physical or mental capacity to get the items. Just left without buying anything but passed at least a dozen employees standing around visiting on my way out.
another security guard busy patrolling TikTok on his phone, i had to go into the parking to find a lumber cart as usual, you could at least have this guy wrangle some carts back to the entrance for your customers or something to be useful, because standing around outside on your phone is not deterring any theft.
I ordered $2200 of composite decking to this location. It arrived a month late and was severely damaged. I declined the product and asked for a refund. After two weeks, they still haven't issued a refund and hung up on me last time I called. I'm escalating my complaint through the BBB and corporate management.
After no one helping me and asking many people, Marina really came through in helping me find the right transition pieces for my doorways. She made great suggestions on how to paint them and she looked all over the store finding them for me. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Give that woman a raise!
I'm in this store at least 3 times a week. The employees are Always helpful, polite, and make me feel like they're glad to see me. They talk to you while ringing you up at the register and make you feel like you are friends, and call me by my first name when greeting me. I appreciate that very much.
So today when I went shopping I realized you had self check out only. I refuse to work for you I am your customer therefore I should not be required to scan, bag and make my own payment. So sad to say I won’t be back not unless you want to give me $10.00 every time I check myself out just saying.
I came to this Home Depot to buy a new door for a pantry that I am adding in my house. The gentleman that helped me in the door Department was absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable and friendly sales associate. Looking forward to doing more business with them.
They usually have what you need in stock. Do not ever expect aisle help from anyone, anymore. No cashiers for checkout anymore. Just someone to assist with the Self Checkout. This can make for a very long line if you hit the store at the wrong time of day. No taxes keeps me coming back!
While in-store the employees are very helpful, over the phone it’s horrible. I called over 5 times within the last 2 hours trying to reach someone with a simple question. I ended up sitting on hold for 15-30 minutes each time and no one answered. Home Depot, please monitor your phones.
Great staff knowledge and each employee I interacted with knew exactly where everything was I needed. Even scanned them in the aisle for discounts or additional info if I needed it. Clean too; wiyh sanitizing stations well placed throughout the store and masks available for customers.
I just walked into the store and 3 of the associates had their masks down under their chins. There is a mandate in this state. If they don’t care about the welfare of each other and their customers, I can’t support them as a business and I encourage others to avoid this location.
We have had constant problems with these guys while remodeling our home. Have spent thousands of dollars there. Store is understaffed with untrained employees. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. Online system is a nightmare. Going to Lowes as much as possible.
