Dropped in to order a Birthday Cake, Thought we would get Brunch/Lunch @ 11:15am whilst there. Staff were attentive took our order reasonably quickly. Ordered brekkie Roll, Kids Bacon & Eggs & Chips - Not exactly difficult. We were the 4th occupied table so not busy, 40min later grabbed the waitress who checked, Ooops sorry the printer is playing up and missed getting the order to the Kitchen. Interrupting the day manager sitting there eating his lunch (printer must have worked then !), he apologised and deducted the meals from our bill which then consisted of two drinks (Coffee & Milkshake). A bit of customer service skill might have suggested waiving the drinks bill for what was a poor service, a bit of common sense might have suggested if the printer was playing up that ALL orders be verified with the kitchen after initiating them. Two tables who ordered larger meals after us were served yet nobody noticed a problem till I hailed the staff. Lost a Meal Service, Lost a Cake Order and now a Customer. Me thinks some changes are needed and it isn't just staff if Management cant give them the right tools. In a word 'Dissapointing'.

Pretty ordinary really. Walked in - there wasn't really much in the way of signage of how it works. We took a seat, then figured out we must go up to order. We went to one register where the guy looked at us, and went back to what he was doing. (Right in front of us on the other side of the bench) after a few minutes I asked if we were meant to actually order at the table and he said "no over there" and pointed to the other register. The food that came out was actually pitiful. I ordered the smoked salmon and smashed avo. The avocado was gross, it stuck to the inside of my mouth, much like peanut butter does. There was zero flavour, apart from the store bought smoked salmon, which had obviously been sitting out for some time. The toast was hard and dry. The eggs were over done, and as I said - zero taste. I'm glad we ordered hash brown and chorizo as extras, at least I enjoyed them. The cafe itself is also old, and looks completely run down. I was going to get a fruit smoothie until I saw the fruit in the cabinet, looking disgusting, and old, and somehow dried out after being thawed out. It was an interesting breakfast. But definitely won't be going back

Booking on line was very easy. Food was good, decadent cakes and coffee even better! Cakes looked and tasted amazing. Service was a bit hit and miss, largely due to the new staff who were still finding their feet. One of the dishes arrived cold. Understandable that things will happen, especially with the staffing challenges in the sector. But the situation was very well handled by the manager. Quite impressive. It was lovely to see it handled so professionally and beyond expectation. Turned the situation from “we might try somewhere else next time” to a “we will be back!”. You might expect some bumpy service for a little while but please support the team as they learn. And try one of their cakes!

Always enjoy the meals. Service is pretty good. UPDATE - 5 September 2021: We shopped here yesterday 4 September 2021, with COVID we thought we would support local. Although happy with the cakes and Roti we purchased, I'm so disappointed with the yoghurt. One of the expiry dates was the day we purchased and wasn't noticed until today, the other is tomorrow (6 September 2021). We understand everyone is trying to survive at the moment, however the one we had to throw away should have been in an "eat today" section, or discounted, or (just) something to let you know! The expiry date is on the bottom of the container, and honestly, who turns a yoghurt container upside down? I want to support our local community, but don't 'shaft' me... Sadly, it is this experience that has me changing my rating...

This place buzzes with customers most of the day. Waitress is friendly, service is fast. Been here on a number of occasions. Went twice in a row got same thing. 2nd time round avocado sandwiches weren't all that great. Will be back to try again. Atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Coffee is normally very good. Street or coles parking available with in and outdoor seating. Wheelchair access.

When we sat down a senior supervisor came quickly to our table with water & menu. We ordered a chai but no one returned to take our food order. We needed to go to the counter & ask for someone to take our order. Eventually the order was taken but no chai. One main meal came straight away with the chai. The second meal did not come for at least 10 minutes later. Both meals were good but service poor especially when the shop only had a few customers

The Jolly Miller is a good place to go for a coffee if your catching a bus or waiting for a train, it has great opening hours, free and good wifi, and has a large space. However there are a few things that may make neighbouring competitions more appealing. For one the food is quite expensive, including the desserts. The atmosphere is ok, but not very 'cosy'. The coffee lids have bad drinking holes and the waiting time for a coffee isn't the fastest. All these thing however don't mean it's a bad cafe, it's a good cafe, just may need to address a few problems.

Worst roll I've ever bought. I have seen this cafe a few times when I've travelled to Sunbury(I live in Newham) so today as I travel into a doctors appointment in the city I decide to try it out. I grab a takeaway chicken, avodavo and lettuce roll then jump on the train to the city. The roll was so stale it clearly is 2-3 days old and the lettuce was brown. The small amount of ago looked okish and the chicken seemed fresh so I scooped those out with a spoon and had to left the rest. This yucky roll cost $11.90. Be warned, standards at this cafe are very low

Extremely rude staff. I have never experienced this level of terrible service. Had to wait ages to get served although there were plenty of staff around doing nothing. Then when we were served we were overcharged and they gave us the wrong thing. We gave this place one more chance after being served a hamburger on a mouldy bun the previous time we were there. Will never go there again. Only gave it one star because there is nothing below. It would get a negative rating if possible.

Is the gisborne store and this one owned by the same people? Because this one is no where new the quality I'd expect after being a regular at the gisborne store. The staff were rude and seemed like the didn't want to be working. I ordered my regular meal (the nourish bowl) which I love at the gisborne Cafe. Unfortunately at the sunbury store, I was served raw pumpkin, undercooked potato and very old tasting kale. I will not be coming back!! The chef at gisborne needs to give the sunbury chef some tips.

What a fantastic place! Got to sit outside in the fresh air. The waitress was faultless on point and didn't miss a thing. We were brought menus within a couple of minutes, ordered coffee and when the coffee came we were offered water also. The food was great and there was little wait time considering the café was busy at the time. Cutlery was presented to us before the food arrive and was nicely wrapped in a napkin. We will definitely visit again!

Came in not hungry, but i ate that whole, huge Cajun chicken on turmeric infused couscous! The whole big bowl. It was Amazing. Delicious. The gorgeous girl who served us (i think her name was Susie?) was an absolute delight. I saw her in action..... everyone loved her and for good reason. She is a delight. My soy latte was delicious, too. Will definitely be back.

Lovely owner made room for us despite no reservation and being really busy; we were freezing cold so really appreciated the gesture. I've been on holiday nearly 2 weeks and this is one of the best meals I've had in Victoria. Family all loved their meal and our 2 year old devoured his pasta. There is a whole menu section of fantastic vegan options. Highly recommend eating here. Thank you!

Paid for coffee for takeaway. The girl took the money then I was left standing there at the barista station for 4 mins with no one making the coffee. In exasperation I had to leave to catch the train. If you're going to have a weekend surcharge of 10%, at the very least train your staff to not have a customer left simply standing there for 4 minutes with no communication. Unacceptable. Wont be going back. Wasted nearly $8 in the process.

Jolly miller is a beautiful resturant with an amazing vibe to it, the workers there are really amazing and Suzie is a very hard working and committed employee she never fails to put a smile on peoples faces; will definitely be coming back!!!

A larger cafe with plenty of tables to accommodate small and larger groups, the staff are very friendly and the brekkie bun that I had hit the spot nicely. My only negative was that I ordered a hot Belgian chocolate in a mug but the mug had no handle on it which I thought was a bit weird just had to wait a bit to cool so I could pick it up.

I've tried it a couple of times, every time it's just been horrible unfortunately. How does the avocado have the same texture as peanut butter? I read another review where they said the same thing (it stuck to their mouth like peanut butter) and I couldn't help but laugh, because that was the same for me. Really wish we had a better experience, we gave it enough chances

Nice place to pop in for a quick coffee - their desserts look amazing! Jolly Miller is the nice, simple and easy option - lots of range to choose from for a quick bite. The hot chocolates taste amazing! The only constructive criticism I'd give is that the decor lacks a bit of atmosphere/character - they could have a bit more fun with the look and the feel of the place!

Was fantastic but recently gone downhill. We go almost every weekend for breakfast, but lately the poached eggs are overcooked, toast is burnt, stingy with the bacon, and stingy with the fruit on the French toast. The coffee has always been terrible so avoid it, but the chai is nice. It's a nice atmosphere, needs additional umbrellas outside as there's not much shade.

Staff nice at begining then she asks me do you want you drink in a cup or mug I said cup she gets it in a mug anyhow no problem then we finished our drinks before getting the cookies we ordered! I had to go again and ask for them although place was not busy at all. I should have canceled order but the kids were being patient so this review is well deserved

Lemon curd tart was so yummy! Customer service was a let down, they seemed to be short staffed on a Wednesday morning which was very unexpected. More staff would improve service & create better customer care - I was close to leaving due to the long wait.

We had a tiny mix up (no fault of theirs, just me not being clear when ordering) the manager came out and apologised saying the correct meal would be with us in 30 seconds. I am Coeliac and they served me hot chips with gluten. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the food.. it was cold and tasteless. I was ill when I got home home because if eating the chips that weren't gluten free and they were not made there, they were frozen. Not impressed.

Great place. Huge range and friendly staff. I love how it is not pretentious with super fancy furniture. It looks like a big bakery and that gives it its charme. I think that's why a lot of older people love this place. I prefer this one to the one on Gisbourne, because it has more character.

Order a medium soy Latte take away I can't have dairy, paid $5.30 for it (guessing extra for the soy) got a cappuccino instead, had to run for the train so didn't notice till I had left the station, there was only 1 person waiting in front of me so not sure how they got the order wrong.....

Not What it use too be what a difference one week made, last week came in for a fantastic meal then I came in this morning only too find the prices on everything went up some more than $3 also the "big breakfast" or the Mr big was nothing more than little... bring the old menu back!

One of the best places I have been to for breakfast and coffee. I had the Atlantic for breakfast and for under $20 It was extremely impressive. It was really yummy and also very nutritional. And the best part was it was all fresh produce ! Well done team, my hat goes off to you !

Charged me $7.20 instead of $5.20 for a SMALL coffee. When I enquired about it, the guy said that's how much they charge for a small coffee , I was there a day before and many times before, always paid $5.20 for a small coffee. Never setting my foot there again.

I ordered atlantic in breakfast today and the taste of salmon was extreme bitter i left it as it is without eating and they did not even tried to change the orderr or return bank money they fully charged me despite knowing that there was some wrong in the order

On a little family getaway we stopped by this little cafe. Service and staff here are outstanding! Honestly best bacon egg toasties and coffee we've ever had. We will surely come back here on our next trip

Staff are friendly but service at times can be slow, when ordering a coffee at a peak time like a Saturday morning expect a wait. It has very dated furniture and isnt an overly appealing dining experience. The chips are great, the coffee is average.

A bit pricey (the vegetarian sandwiches had very little inside, salads come in small portions), and the bigger selection is sugar based highly processed desserts, but is a nice place if you want to indulge a bit. Good service.

Usually okay but not this or previous visit. Not good if a bakery doesn't have meat pies ready 2 hours after opening. Worse if the tomato of a cooked breakfast was tough and inedible. Will eventually return for coffee.

Cold and wet day. Mushroom pie below average size served with a satchel of tomato sauce, good God. Looked as though a rat had been scurrying around inside it. Also served warmed not hot Terrible Cafe.

Poor service and did not get correct order-wasn’t asked for any clarification & they got it wrong, mug sized coffees come with half filled foam instead of coffee. Rip off of a poor excuse for a cafe.

I literally head here for my morning coffee everyday unless in hospital. The staff are always friendly and happy to have a chat. Easy to see why they do a roaring trade. Definitely recommended!

Food was great and they had pretty good coffee. I love that their decaf is freshly ground, so it actually tastes like normal coffee. A bit pricey but I'm happy to pay when the quality is there

Best Chai Latte I've ever had. So spicy. Not sickly. Mmm... Oh and the Vanilla slice just about pips my fav Dunseath Custard Square from NZ. ... but I am a little bias ;-)

I had a mr big, everything was great apart from the mushrooms and the hash browns. I love mushrooms but these didn't taste nice at all, and the hash brown were very oily.

Always a great experience coming here, getting a coffee & a smile that comes with it is always a pleasant blessing
