We have a 30 year history with our two dogs at The Kingsway Animal Hospital. Our second dog was a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier named Logan, that from four months old had some health issues that The Kingsway Animal Hospital solved. And afterwards, even through two major surgeries and finally lymphoma cancer, Logan never lost his spirit or his joy of life, thanks to The Kingsway Animal Hospital. What a beauty he was! There isn’t a moment that goes by that we don’t miss our kind little man, our sweet baby Logan. For the past 12.5 years Dr. Van Slyke (Dr. V.) took care of my Bentley.The last time she saw him was when he was at death's door with a virus.Without her years of experience , I would have lost Ben.It took a couple of days at the hospital to bring him back to his old self and I'm most grateful to Dr. V. She also made it a point to call me at home asking how he's doing.The followup matters. Yes, there are people that have told me to go to other vet clinics for better prices etc.It's not about price.It's about "quality" of care over the years Ben received.If I wasn't satisfied, I would have gone elsewhere.You cannot put a price on experience. And Dr. V. has it.She's been around the block and done it. I know Ben's time is limited and Dr. Van Slyke knows that too.And, that's why there are no heroics in trying to keep him alive should he suffer.No pushing meds or operations. So far, he's comfortable and that's what's most important for him right now.He's an old timer ! Thank you Dr. V. and thank you staff for your care over the years....even you Alex! Ben loves you man!

The Kingsway Animal Hospital is without a doubt a hidden gem. I brought my kitten to them when I first adopted her and they provided with so much information for caring for a pet. Their staff is well-informed and very friendly. From the moment you step through the door, you feel welcomed and at ease. I had seen Dr. Grieve and she was incredible with keeping my cat calm while she examined her. If you're looking for a vet clinic that has more of a personal touch, I highly recommend choosing the KAH. You won't regret it! P.S. They also give free nail trimmings that take no time at all, which is amazing considering I always have to fight tooth and nail when trying to trim my cat's nails.

I have been going to the Kingsway Animal Hospital with my cats for over 40 years. This is a truly professional, expert, and caring place, and I cannot imagine ever going anywhere else. I have had a couple of cats with really difficult medical conditions; and the vets have shown more expertise, empathy, and compassion than anyone could possibly expect or hope for. They keep up with the latest in treatments; they consult with specialists in unusual cases; and they also have excellent judgment and a great deal of common sense. They follow up with phone calls in really difficult situations; and they could not be more caring of the animals they look after. The staff are also wonderful.

Very kind and compassionate vets and team etc. Over 2.5 decades we only ever took our 2 beloved family dogs here and they always received thorough, caring treatment from skilled vets. Really know their stuff. Sadly but with great empathy, they also helped us when our 2 sweethearts were at the end of their lives and it still chokes me up until this day to even write about them, but the team here made this very difficult decision possible, with no suffering and with great compassion. Where do i start. I contacted The Kingsway Animal Hospital because my dog had a wound that was not heeling. Though they couldnt take me in, they very kindly gave me the number of the emergency vet. 10 minutes later, Alicia called me back saying they could accomodate me as they had a last minute cancellation. My sweet dog was seen by the vet an hour later. And the biggest sign of how great they are...my dog was a happy pup... sniffing and giving kisses all around. 3 days of antibiotics later, her paw is healing beautifully. I am now waiting for her to heel completely to go back for her vaccine. Kingway Animal Hospital are now our vet! Thank you so much!

I have a 17 yr. old Siamese cat that is suffering from Renal Failure. His condition has gotten worse in the past year so we now have to insert a needle attached to a clear fluid bag into the loose skin on his back every other day. We also have to squirt a small amount of fish oil into his mouth with a small syringe. Sound easy? It isn't! I took my cat in and asked them to teach me how to do this. A technician showed me how to position the needle so it doesn't just pop out. Now I can take him to the cottage with us & do it up there. Freedom at last. The Vets and the technicians are patient and kind and I can enjoy my cat for an extended period of time.

I have been a client here for many many years and really like the staff and location. I do have a preferred doctor that I ask to see when I bring my pets here but all the doctors are great and the techs are fantastic too; they are friendly and personable. It's got a local neighbourhood feel to the place. The parking can be a bit tricky/tight but it's so close to subways and residential areas that it probably isn't really an issue. In terms of pricing, probably on par with most clinics in the area. Have only had routine procedures done on my pets here. Well run and employees seem quite happy as many have been here for many years.

I've been taking our dog to Kingsway Animal Hospital for the last 2 years, and each visit is always great experience. Staff in the front are so welcoming, warm and friendly, our dog loves the attention (and treats) she gets while we wait. We usually see Dr Grieve but have met with other vets at the clinic as well, all wonderful. What I love is that they walk you through a variety of options for treatments/tests and prices to consider, taking into account your pets health and comfort, and work with you to find the most cost effective approach. I never feel pressured or guilted into anything while there. Highly recommended!

We adopt seniors, and have been bringing them (six so far!) to The Kingsway Animal Hospital for years. Cannot imagine going anywhere else. From the lovely people who answer the phone, to the groomers, to the vets themselves - each individual there has treated us and our furry family with care and respect. They are honest with their opinions, and I've never felt pressured to do anything that didn't feel right. They've always fit us in when there's an emergency (and with seniors - those happen) and are excellent with checking up on us after treatment. I cannot recommend this vet office more highly.

We always have a very good experience at the clinic. Staff are unfailingly polite, friendly, answer any questions, and last but not least make a fuss over our dog, who loves coming here. The vets take the time to explain symptoms, meds, further care if needed, and always call to report test results in a timely fashion. The clinic is walking distance for us, so that is an added plus. I would not ever consider looking for another vet. Thank you so much for taking care of our doggie. By the way, our first dog was also looked after at the clinic in the 80s and 90s. That alone should tell a story.

I took my kitten here after reading a number of the reviews and I'm very happy that I did. I was warmly welcomed by Alyshia at the front desk and proceeded to chat with the other people who were also in the waiting room. Each of them had been going to this clinic with their pets for years and were very happy with the service. I saw Dr. Grieve for the check up and she provided me with lots of information and also answered my questions patiently and kindly. She was great with my kitten, Ella. If I have any other concerns with either of my cats, I'm definitely coming back here.

We've been taking our cats here for about 2 yrs now and they are fantastic. They've helped us out so much in providing the best care for our cats and guiding us in the right direction when if comes to their health. They staff are wonderful and have been so great with answering our many questions and concerns. They've even called us in the past to follow up with our cat's progress after surgery and when she was sick. We definitely recommend them if you're in the area. We will continue to go here as long as we're able to. They're simply the best.

We have been taking our labradoodle to Kingsway Animal Hospital for 7 years, since she was a puppy. Through the years, we have dealt with all of the vets at one time or another, and been very pleased with how they treat both Ruby and us. The front office staff, vet technicians and everyone who works at this office are excellent to deal with, and we always feel we are being very well taken care of. Ruby LOVES visiting the office and is always happy to see her Doctors (never scared or nervous).

Just a wonderful vet. I moved into the area and had to change vets as my old one was too far. My kitty Leroy was at the end of days and they took really really good care of him to the point where I could bring him home for his last few days. He passed away peacefully at home and the team sent me a bereavement card + I got letter from the University of Guelph as they had made a donation on behalf of Leroy. Can't speak highly enough of the care pre and post. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

The care our dog received at The Kingsway Animal Hospital was excellent. The staff is friendly, kind and professional. Special thank you to Dr.E. Chris for taking the time to look at the xray and her response , and to Dr.G.Grieve for the reassurance given on the day of our appointment, and then taking care of the problem our dog was having. The follow up telephone on the next day inquiring on the status of our dog was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this vet practice.

My cat oscar was sick a while ago with fatty liver disease. I was devastated that he was losing weight at such a rapid and dangerous pace. I had many online forums saying that he had no chance, as he had lost over 50% of his body weight and was also diagnosed with fiv. The staff here were here for me every day, updating me and encouraging me. They genuinely care and want their patients to get better. I am so grateful to have my baby back to normal, and I owe it all to them :)

My family has brought all of our many pets to The Kingsway Animal Hospital for over 25 years! Current pets are a 15yo cockapoo and a 14 yo outdoor cat. I highly recommend them for their kindness, caring and understanding. They provide excellent care and are also very flexible and helpful in the situation of a suddenly sick pet. The clinic is conveniently located, the staff are all great and there is ample parking. They provide boarding as well. Cannot say enough good things!

My family and I have been bringing out pets to this animal hospital since we moved in the area about 15 years ago. Though their prices are high, they are really thorough with cat and dog care. The secretary/admin are very friendly and genuine people. The vets are good. There is one vet that is new and is super friendly and awesome, and there are two older vets that I have encountered that are more cold, blunt but informative. Regardless, all staff are pretty good.

I took my cats here for years and was very happy with the service. Recently I rescued a geriatric bichon and took her to Renforth Vet clinic as that is where she had always gone. Very bad experience with them., My feeling is that when they think you have spent all the money you are going to he won't even call you back. Took my sick dog to Kingsway to have her put down yesterday. Such a difference in quality of service here. A little more expensive but worth it

I cannot recommend this place enough! Every individual at the Kingsway Animal Hospital is very knowledgable, friendly and they are constantly looking for ways to help you out. They are extremely competent when it comes to the care of our dog and always follow up when anything happens to her. I took my 2 dogs to this clinic on a recommendation and am glad I did. The support staff is knowledgeable and caring. I wasn't a client yet and called about a prescription diet I was buying in the USA. They researched it with the manufacturer and promptly called me back. When the girls were due for a checkup I saw Dr Wendy and she was wonderful. I got an appointment quickly and was seen right on time. Great clinic! Madison and Macy thank you!

This vet clinic always greets my dog and cat with friendly staff who you can really tell care greatly about their furry patients! The vets and staff always take extra time to answer my questions and spend quality time with both my cat and dog. They are knowledgable in their profession and very professional for each visit. The Kingsway Animal Hospital is staffed with kind and caring experts. Besides regular check ups my cat recently needed some dental surgery. I was a total mess but everyone I interacted with was thoughtful and made me feel very comfortable. They took excellent care of my pet and she's fully recovered, happy and healthy. I also really like that you can schedule appointments online and they email you to remind you.

My boy, Quincy Jones, suffers from extreme anxiety making him very difficult to deal with when at the vet. As a result, he had never had a proper examination in his 6 years of life. However, with a little help from the drugs I give him to prepare, the staff at KAH have been able to administer good checks on him twice over just a few months. They are very patient and caring, something I'm very pleased about.

Highly recommended! The service was as good as it gets after a recent visit. The doc was very direct and thorough during the examination. She did not pressure any expensive actions, but described in detail several optional treatments and tests. My cat was also happily boarded for the day, and being greeted by a calm and lazy cat lounging on the reception desk was a great tone-setter for her and me...

Kingsway Animal Hospital is the only place we would take our puppy. We had a minor emergency last week with our dog and he was seen almost immediately, and Dr. Wendy was so good with him. She quickly put us at ease, explaining what she saw, and what she was doing. We took home a happy puppy. Test results were reported to us very quickly. We love Kingsway Animal Hospital and their wonderful staff.

If you are looking for a veterinarian practise that is very professional while showing friendly compassion and being extremely helpful, you will never be dissatisfied with The Kingsway Animal Hospital. My wife's family used them for over 30 years while we have been using them for close 20 years. We have boarded our cats there and never had a bad experience. Yes, we do recommend them regularly.

The team at Kingsway Animal Hospital have been great and so nice to my pup that she never hesitates to approach them. With the increase in workload due to covid there were a couple of miscommunications with the office staff, but they were promptly addressed. Dr. Draganic (the owner) is also very involved and has called me personally to take me through my pup's tests or to address my concerns.

Every interaction I've had with the staff at Kingsway has been absolutely wonderful. They're usually able to fit you in for emergencies, and they'll give you advice over the phone even if it means not coming in for an appointment. They're also realistic about treatments and give you advice that fits your budget as well as tending the needs of your pet.

All the staff at the Kingsway Animal Hospital are wonderful and I completely trust them with the care of my cats. After appointments, they frequently phone to follow up as to how my pet(s) are doing. I had to pick up meds for on of my cats and therefore communicated through an open window. The staff is very efficient and professional. Now during the pandemic, clients are unable to go into the building with their pet. Staff come outside to take your pet inside to a vet to be checked out. The staff are all very caring about everyone 's pets.

Dissapointed in the service. I was told that I could pick up a few pills (diaretics) over the phone and then when I showed up they refused to sell them to me, because my dog was not with me. Although, i have a prescription with them. My dog is a 12 year old jack russel who suffers from heart disease and I avoid unnecessary car travel with him.

This is the best place to take your fur children, if they need a check up or if they are hurt. We are always made to feel like we are part of the family, humans and pets. We have always found the the doctors,staff and technicians at KAH most warm, compassionate and caring since we first started coming here since 1981. Highly recommend! Most people dont trust vets because they run them like profit centre which ends up harming pets. But this place as great - their staff was so kind. My cat has a chronic disease - so they were super empathic, explained things clearly and guided me with some difficult decisions with respect to my cat's long term care.

The doctors and the staff are great!. They are very professional and also kind and friendly . Doctors are very good diagnosting and giving treatment. I used also their boarding services several times with my old dachshund, they treat her as if she was their on pet. The place is always clean and nice.

Completely trust them with my pets. The are a bit more expensive but they don't upsell and try to provide extra services which means they probably aren't any more than other vets. Been going there for 14 years, even after moving away from the area, and can't imagine going anywhere else.

The best place out there to take your pet.. they truly care for all animals brought in. when my dog was ill they helped her in every way. But in time when it was time for her to pass on, they were the best in helping her and me through it in the most carrying way.
