Look, I am the biggest believer that you should do your job to your best ability & not expect a pat on the back. It’s your JOB to give your best. However, there are some people that do just that with a smile and get zero recognition. Today it seems like folks want to give 20% effort, be very stoic within their job, little to no smile, collect a big check and treat customers like just another customer! Eric not only did the exact opposite of all of this, but he took care of me with a smile, treated me more like a friend than a customer and gave me quite a few suggestions of items I may need! You can’t please every customer, so of course some people won’t be pleased, but seriously bring your business here FIRST! No gimmicks & no bs. Thank you Eric and John!

Soulless. The bartenders don’t even talk to you nor try to make your experience any better, instead they’ll just swipe your card and have you select; 18%, 20%, or 25% gratuity which is insane. The bartenders don’t talk and when you do go up to order you feel like you’re inconveniencing them. There’s a certain veneer of entitlement that this employees seem to having. If you live in Austin and want a taste of California, come here. If you don’t, don’t come here. Worst service ever and worst bartenders ever. Lifeless.

This place made me super sad. I got a flat and it ended up being over $70. I was in shock. They took all the money I had. I guess i wouldn’t get to eat this week :( I miss places like Tsumani and Fast Folks who looked out for cyclists. It sucks that the prices are so bad since this is the closest place to my home. Maybe next time I’ll have to walk my bike across town to clown dog so I can afford it? I’m so bummed.

Super knowledgeable and friendly, the folks at the bike shop genuinely want to help you enjoy biking more. I recently had a derailleur issue while out on a ride and, after popping in, Eric was able to make some quick adjustments and send me on my way. Waxed my chain, made sure I got the particular speciality components I needed, and were happy to chat at length concerning technical specifications about anything bike and race courses related. Solid shop and solid staff. The atmosphere is laid back outside and at the cafe. Easy to spend hours there. No wonder I keep wanting to go back.

Meteor is the best bike shop in Austin! Fair prices, quick turnarounds, and competent team are just a few of the reasons I always trust them with my bikes. Wife's bike needed a quick shifting adjustment. Staff kindly and quickly hooked us up, added a chain lube, bought a couple things, then right back out the door. Exceptional service!

My husband got a flat tire on our commute to Barton springs so we went here. A little pricey but overall they were kind, fast and helpful.
