I just was disappointed at halloween night. My husband was asked to leave because looks just because he looks hang over ? too much having a fun ?he danced a lot and took 4 shoots and took photos with other people who were there. We just had fun as other did.but I think this is because their business strategy? They collect 15$ each for cover and there were many people waiting outside in the line so I assumed that they asked us to leave and earn money ... It just nothing explained and told us" get out" I think BC bar or restaurants should show guidelines for all clients how much allow to drink alcohol at a table. If just because he consume a lot of alcohol, firstly give a verbal advice then secondly ask to leave. This is what you guys have to do . The other place they did all same things . If firstly ask to leave, very disrespectful Me , his wife I just took 2 beer and rest, bottle of water Disappointed Everyone not spend a lot of money here to buy shoots and Alcohol. They will ask you to leave ,hahaha

The security staff was very rude to me and threw me out of the club for no reason. It's a very unsafe club for women. Please don't come here if you're a woman. The Jericho blue is a very biased and racist band. They would ask security to hurt you for no reasons because it suits them. Especially if you're a non white person, you will be mistreated and thrown out of the club. The security asked me, one, two, three and he would throw me to the floor even if I've never touched anyone or hurt anyone. Please save your money and go to another club such as Mango or Levels and don't even spend your money in Roxy because they are very racist people. If you don't fit in their profiles, they will make sure you don't belong or get thrown out of the club without even looking at you or listening to you. I'm sorry, but racism is a big fact or at the Roxy Unless you're white, don't expect any decent treatment here.

I really like the place. Music was great. Staff was friendly and the vibe was very good. People came here to have a good time and not just to hook up. loved that all ages were here so it's not only those in the 20s enjoying themselves. I want to give extra shout out to the admin staff. My wallet went missing and I've called them 3 times to check, once first thing in the day, 2nd time later when cleaners were done and 3rd the next day. I also emailed them. They were so friendly and gracious and I felt they tried to help (it's by phone but felt they were looking). Some lost and found treat you like you are an inconvenience but not the staff here. So kudos to you. You made a good impression to me, even though my wallet is still MIA.

So, on a Friday night we got set-up on our booking at another place. We entered Roxy's and asked for a table for an unusually big group. Avalon and crew welcomed us with hospitality and provided first class customer experience for all of us. Drinks and food were spot on and we all felt taken care of. I cannot describe how good the service was. Not pushing, but always there for a refill. We got a timely service till the end of the night and a pleasant chit-chat with the crew. We all felt welcomed and taken care of rather then being a challenge to solve. This is how good customer experience should look like. We all appreciate the hard work of Avalon and the crew at tending to our needs. Thank you!

new to vancouver and was looking for a nice bar to go to on my birthday. i had such a good time here! all the bouncers at the front were so nice and inviting from the get go. live music was awesome and during breaks from bands they played the best 2014 era ish music that no one plays at clubs anymore my heart was so happy!! every club plays the same 50 songs every weekend and it drives me nuts but The Roxy played so many bangers. it’s a smaller venue but nowhere near as crowded/pushy/sweaty as your average club. I never leave google reviews lol but really just had a nice time. I would 100% recommend coming here :)

Was on a night out with friends on Wednesday, did have a few drinks on board but was asked to leave for no reason. I said ok, can I get my jacket, I was not allowed to, had to walk home in -7 without my jacket. Go to the lost and found the next day for them to tell me my jacket is not there, my 350$ snowboard jacket and my airpods (with my name on them) in the pocket, that were a gift. If I was asked to leave, fine (even though i had done nothing wrong and have never caused any problems) but i dont think it is unreasonable for someone to get my jacket when its -7 and snow out. Anyway, out nearly a grand and will be a while before i can afford to replace them. Happy Christmas.

It was my first time going to this place last night. Very bad experience. The tall white bearded guy was checking IDs were creating bad image for Roxy. I had more than two phones with me and I myself told him if it’s ok to go in with these phones? He let me in but while i was leaving there around 2am, he was trying to search me and acting like police and accusing me for stealing phones. Even though i told him at the beginning that i do cellphone repairs and sell phones online that’s why i have couple of phones. Guys! never go to this place because they can accuse you to anything possible. You go out to enjoy but an illiterate would accuse you to stealing phones or something.

Had a great time watching live music. However extremely disappointed with the door charge policies. I spent $30 for 2 concert tickets, my wife was off work late and arrived at 9:30. Even tho I had a $300 bar tab, and pre-purchased 2 event tickets.... they insist you pay cover AGAIN because those tickets "expire" at 9. For a group which spent a couple THOUSAND in ONE NIGHT, their door policies are outdated and need review. After review it looks like the tickets were good till 9:30. This place will be happy to over charge and over serve. Service and staff are very friendly. Management needs to step it up if you expect continual growth thru this tough economy.

I was vsiting Vancouver and needed to test out the night life! I was getting discouraged when I kept getting told the night life in this city was awful, but so glad I found Roxy! I went out with my girls and had an absolute blast. We arrived around 10:30pm and there was a pretty big line, but it moved quick. I was a little shocked by the cover ($15) that’s the most I’ve ever paid to enter a club. But I think it was worth it. The crowed was crazy and the LIVE band was really great!

Came for the live music, which was good. However, all the bartenders I observed scooped the ice with the glass they intended to use. Which anyone who has ever bartended should know that is a HUGE safety issue. When I mentioned someone thing to the bartender about it, they just looked at me like I was acting like a 'Karen' over it and never did anything. I would hate to be the person that gets the ice with the broken/chipped glass piece in it from the ice being scooped with the glass. So if you do come here, get a drink with ice at your own risk.

I was told I harassed woman and have to leave. I didn't touch that women or even talk to that women. I was just enjoying the music. The guard didn't show me any footage or give me a chance to speak. I swear I didn't touch that woman, I didn't even talk to that woman, I didn't even within 3 meters range of that woman. Can someone from Roxy tell me why? Can you show me the footage? You can not false accusation me for something never happened. You should really ban that woman permanently for false accusation people.

I went to see an early show starting at 8 last week. The artists were incredible ranging from acoustic pop/folk to electronic/rock. The service was great from the bartender as well. Fun lighting through with excellent smoke machine. Would recommend bringing earplugs as the sounds was incredibly loud even for the acoustic artist at the beginning. My friend left as it was too loud, maybe the sound techs could reduce the overall volume next time. Great experience!

They charged me twice even tho the payment was approved. It happened more than once. Just my second time here. I’m Definitely not coming back here and making sure that any of the people I know don’t go there either. I felt so bad after seeing the blond waitress just stealing my money. Saying the machine was broken. Right. So broken that she used the same machine to charge the table next to me. She just wanted more tips. She should’ve just asked, Instead of stealing my money. This makes me mad.

I went there for the first time for my 25th birthday and was fortunate enough to get Dave as my bartender. Thr club was great and he was absolutely amazing, fast service, great drinks, and friendly service. He even made me what he glad a birthday shot, wasn't sure exactly what it was but it was delicious, my friends and I kept coming back for more. We ended up leaving the Roxy to check out some other clubs bit returned shortly after for the music and our new favorite bartender Dave.

Best security ever, specially Mr Chris, and Mr Felix respect to those guys it’s my favourite club overall in Granville with no doubts only I had to get out because of a head moment where I was not wrong but it was just the bad moment but sometimes things happen although best staff, also I wrote a bad review when I was not conscious because something unintentional happened with me and it was the moment anyways definitely the first name is Roxy and it’s people lovely place !!..❤️

Great atmosphere and brilliant set up for music! Felt a bit hurt when the girl on the door looked and spoke down to me when she asked what I wanted, like I was a nuisance drunk person, but in fact I was sober waiting my turn for the cloakroom. There’s really no need for the rude looks and tone - I am a nice and kind girl and it upsets me when staff think they’re better than others. We’ve all got things to deal with so just be nice and don’t assume. Really let my night down

Usually good but the last time I went was terrible, we waited an hour to get in and then all wanted to leave because it was so crowded inside everyone was constantly being aggressively shoved and groped. You couldn’t move at all or even dance without people almost knocking you over. I don’t get what the point is in making people wait an hour to get in if you’re still gonna let the club overfill like that. I’m used to crowded bars but this was the worst I’ve seen.

The Roxy is always a good time, especially as I get older (oh no, I'm following my parents footsteps!). However, I did find it a bit crazy to charge $4 for a bottle of water - water in any form should be free in a drinking establishment. Could be for someone who's drank too much, could be a thirsty DD who agreed to suffer in sobriety for the nignt to get his friends home.

Despite the roxy being known at THE legend, I came on a Thursday night for a specific event and the vibes just weren't it. Super tough crowd. However, being able to see my favorite band, The Lily Dippers, made my night! They were the only band that could lure the crowd to the dance floor. Makes going to the Roxy on a week/work night, worth it. Will have to return on a Friday or Sunday to update my review. I know the Roxy can provide better!

It was a Monday so no line and I couldn't resist going in. All of the staff were amazing from security to check in to the bartenders. Very mixed crowd due to a conference nearby and everyone welcome. The live band blew my mind playing everything from Cher to Avril with loads of 90s and 2000s for us 40 somethings. I tipped the singer 20 bucks. Maybe next time I'll sing too. Just behave and be respectful and you will have a great time!

The Roxy Cabaret is one of the last remaining places on Grandville Street Vancouver to go and party and as for me I play in a rock band so I played there the other night @ Franklin's Dealers with Crashing Angels. They have a great light show and a good sound man....great people that work there it's a $10 cover charge great atmosphere good stage Great Sound you got to check it out!

Everything is thrilling there, most of my Friday nights I love going there to see Fully Loaded. Josephine is amazing, other staff is friendly and welcoming and security guys outside sure winning hearts! I don’t miss Brisbane (Fortitude Vally) anymore, thanks to Roxy!

We had tables reserved for us. We arrived on time. Yet, they still made us wait outside for 30 minutes. The drinks were well priced. Selection of drinks was also sufficient. The music was fine. The crowd was lively. Regardless of these positive points, waiting 30 minutes in line while have reservations likely defeats the purpose of me returning again.

Huge energy with the music. House band rocks so hard! Plus new acts will come all the time as well. Service was fast and they were constantly ready for their tables. The staff was really fun and engaging, they took time to be a part of the fun with everyone. 10 stars for the re-opening of The Roxy!! So happy you're back and better than ever!

Drinks are a touch expensive, but thats par for the course in vancouver nightlife. What really makes this place stand out is the bouncers, they're so nice, which really contrasts a lot of the places downtown. Never had any issue with them and they're super fair.

A gross bar but an institution and admittedly a fun time. $15 cover on a Friday night. Drinks were reasonably priced (obviously expensive but not terrible for “club” prices). Live music was great as was the rest of the music (all fun dancing music). I hope to never go to a dance floor with carpet…

I had a blast here! The live music was the best! The bartender was so nice and helped me and my friends with recommendations too. There were a few creepy dudes there but as long as you put them in their place it’s fine :)

Love the Roxy! Used to go here a lot in my youth. Now playing in a band (Cove Brothers) and did a gig with China Syndrome and Andre Pettipas. DJ the sound guy is total PRO!!! Made us all sound bigger than we are. Haha! Can't wait to do it again. Cheers

I and my friend Jennifer have enjoyed the music because it is all relevant to all ages and the genres played were awesome. The place was also clean and the staff were so friendly that you felt safe while enjoying the crowd dancing and just having clean fun. I would love to go back again.

I love the old school vancouver vibe of this place. A bit grungey, a bit divey. Myself personally, that's what I like when I go dancing. Others may prefer a more upscale modern vibe but if you like to kick it old school and dance to a variety of music then this is the place to go!!

One of my favourite nightclub in Granville. I love their live music. Although the dance floor can get a bit cringy sometime but it is fun. Also a nice place to hangout with big group of friends. They have big corner sofas where you can chill out when you are tired of dancing.

Everything is great about this place. Even the (alleged) stabbings and fires just add to the notoriety. I love it here, in case that wasn't apparent.

Went Friday November 11th 2022 and the band that was playing was a huge hit. I can't remember the name although the lead female singer was Josephine and she was amazing. Was a good time, if you want good music and to dance in the downtown area, go here!!!

Always a great time! Front door staff are always polite & courteous! Bartenders are quick & efficient but to be honest the band is incredible! I would say they are one of the best live bands in Western Canada! Locked & Loaded really rock the room!

Really nice experience. The music is great and the atmosphere is good, maybe a bit small as more people come in and you get pushed into people when you dance. But definitely don't let that stop you from visiting this bar when coming to Vancouver!

The Roxy never fails to entertain. Love the $2 photobooth, will go just for that. Slightly older crowd, in their late 20s and older for sure. Decent live music, Millennial Monday was a good time.
