Short version. The store manager was down right rude to our family. We came in with a product issue regarding missing features we were told the product included and he wouldn’t come out of the back after asking for him several times. Once he finally did he said “there’s nothing we can do” and walked away. Zero customer service skills, maybe in need of new management. I’ve been working in retail a long time and trust me when I say every issue you have with an employee at this location and after reading the reviews there are many, all siphons down to poor management. I hope something changes at this store in the future for the sake of the staff and the customers. I feel it’s necessary to add the full story to this: My partner came in the store asking specifically for an item was assured several that a different item is what she needs trusting the staff she finally took the item. It took almost an hour to complete the transaction as Malek the individual “helping” did not know how to process the transaction. Later upon opening and attempting to use the product, it lacked the one feature that my partner asked specifically for. In this case noise cancellation. Airpod 3rd generation do not have this feature. The reason we opened the box is because we trusted the employees of the store. We went back in an attempt to return the item Boxing Day as it was the earliest possible time we could and we’re told that we must wait on the store manager to come in the next day by Nikolas. He was kind enough but did not seem to care about the situation and was rather dismissive. We came in the next day just to be told that we can’t even speak to the store manager. And the individual who helped us was aggressively telling me that he is the assistant store manager and there’s nothing that can be done and we cannot see the store manager. I stood there repeatedly asking for the store manager for almost 10 minutes where Malek was essentially yelling at me and I had to calmly ask for the manager over and over. Malek eventually backed away from the till and ignored me! I was standing at the till waiting for a store manager to come that had never been asked to come out. Eventually a gentleman with slightly a heavier set and black hair finished up with his customer leant forward to speak to me kindly about what was happening trying to understand the situation and help as much as he could. (He was not wearing a name tag). He was very kind and commendable. I asked him to speak to the store manager and Malek said to him “No, no store manager he can speak to me” Nikolas walked up to the till while this was happening and I asked him if I could speak to the manager as he told me I would need to return to do so. He said he spoke to the manager and he has already said no, and I said well may I please speak to him aswell. Finally the store manager came out of the back and says “it’s on the receipt it says if opened no returns, you can go to the Apple Store if you have a problem” stood for a second more where I started to explain my situation and he walked away in the middle of me speaking calmly as to why I cannot take this product. I am in the retail industry, I know the difference between what you can do, what you cannot do and what you choose to not do. It’s possible that he cannot provide any assistance on the return, and even understandable. But he can speak to people in a respectful manner, he can listen when someone is talking and he can choose to not rudely walk away from someone who is speaking to him. I have not seen customer service this bad in my life. Reading through the reviews of this location is shocking and sickening. I am stuck now with a product that was not wanted, that will not be used and the financial detriment to go along with it. But worse of all I’ve been soured to a company we once shopped from often and the feeling of disrespect.

Very disappointed with a recent experience! I went to St.Laurent location, Ottawa on, to get a Samsung tablet A8 on Dec31, 2022, New Year Eve, it was $220 on sale, I had a gift card for 150, i was going to use my gift card for that purchase, but the computer system didn't accept the purchase submission!! I offered two different credit cards for the difference..no luck..the salesperson blamed it on my credit cards, she asked that I have to contact my banks! I had used this card without any issues, so i didn't believe it, so I asked, I want to buy Samsung tab A7 instead which was around $155, using my$150 gift card, and pay the difference in cash...she tried again, and it was not approved again after using the Source gift card so it turned out that the error message was related to the gift card not my Credit cards..the salesperson told me that it seems that you have no money on the card, I exclaimed it is absolutely impossible, I have the gift card receipt and haven't used it! Then she told me that I have to contact the Source, I told her since I was at the store, maybe she can contact to help me resolving the issue, but she was reluctant and it was at the end of day around 4:20..so, she went to the supervisor and came back told me that I have to contact the Source office or pay cash..they can't help me..very disappointed with the whole ordeal...I changed my mind...and went home tired of wasting my time at the store..so I called the Source office today on Jan 2, 2023...they checked my card number, there was not any issue with the card and it was active...but when I checked the Source web site, the Samsung tab A8 is back to its regular price $329, and I am very disappointed that I missed on the Sale and using my Source gift card because the store refused to resolve the gift card issue..I don't know if the Salesperson was not experienced and the supervisor didn't want to help, or there was an issue with the system at the store...anyway the Source gift card was not in good use...I am stuck with it now.. the other thing, when I was at the store, the sales person was using a cash register in the middle of the store and repeated my credit card numbers kind of loudly as she was entering them into the system, even the last 3 digits on the back of the card....when I told her please don't repeat the numbers people can overhear...she said that don't worry...nobody can remember all these long numbers!!...but what if it can be recorded...I don't really know what to say..I guess some people don't really care!

today May 14 I encountered the worst customer experience i could imagine. allow me to start with the fact that i went into the store ready to spend 3500$ on media storage gear (SD cards, and external hard drives) and 2 laptops for my business but that this location will never see a dollar from me or any other business i have ties to, I was jumped up on after walking 3 steps into the store by not a greeting but a "what do you want" i immediately told the rep to back off and that he jumped on me faster then my wife, after walking down 1 isle the manager did the same, i told him at least he waited longer then the first guy but that his approach was off putting, he did not like that, i proceeded to tell him he should wait till customers actually look at product before going to them ( Covid and social distancing are still a thing but they don't care at this store) he then was to offended by being corrected by a customer and told me to leave. I asked for his name, and asked him if he was sure he wanted to do that, he proceeded with saying Connor and confirmed he was the manager. i told him i will be contacting head office and placing this review everywhere. again he did no like that, so as i was trying to contact head office outside the store he then proceeded to call security to try to have me moved away. this will also be told to the management of business at the mall as i had worked there for years and know this is un acceptable from any store. Needless to say this manager of this store is to young and arrogant as well as power hungry, he also has trained his staff to stand elbow to elbow waiting for the next customer to enter so they too can IMMEDIATLY get way to close way to fast in what is still a global pandemic. I don not blame the first employee as this is clearly the result of horrible management and an exemplary display of horrible customer service.

I went to the Source today and had a fabulous experience with the most amazing and helpful sales team. I went for some audio visual equipment and the sale associate noticed that my old phone as cracked and offered to show me a great deal where I could get essentially the same service I was paying for with a newer more efficient phone. While I was not really interested, I did take a look and walked away with a new phone, plus a bunch of gear and essentially did not spend a cent. LOL I want to thank Jon Crump, Jessie Vee and GK for the great help I was given. I will totally be sharing my experience with co-workers and friends.

World class customer service. Knowledgeable Customer representatives named as Junaid and Rohit thoroughly explained each and every offer available on different carriers and different mobiles and by changing my phone carrier Junaid helped me to save 20dollar per month. I am so happy I meet Mr Junaid and the offer he advised is very appreciable. I must say anyone looking for a new handset or new phone number. Please go to this store. I have got 35CAD gift card as well on my new purchase and I suggested 2 of my friends they also get benefited from Junaid’s advise. I am very happy with the services

If you want to know why retail is dying take a stroll into this place. The employees get annoyed when you ask them to look for a product, EVEN when you are the only person in the store. If you are not there to buy a cell phone they could not be bothered to raise their head from playing candy crush long enough to direct you to Amazon. This kind of operation must be paying minimum wage plus bonuses for cell phones because the staff are absolutely pylons if you need anything else.

I got a cell phone today at the Source. The young man serving me was a keen salesman and ended up giving me the wrong amount. More seriously though I would urge management to train their staff to be more subtle with older clients. We might have white hair but we're not stupid. In this case, i feel it was a culture issue. I don't think the clerk even knew what the word condescending meant. He probably meant no harm but for his own sake he should learn, and fast.

As a long-time hermit, I am not exaggerating when I say: best shopping experience I can remember. Hassan greeted me with an attentive but laid back demeanor and converted a charging cable sale into a Virgin mobile plan, painlessly solving an existing problem and improving my state of mind. The Source should be careful; a more lucrative sales position might make itself available to this natural customer service person.

My husband and I went in a little while ago with the intention of buying a cell phone each. The salesperson's name was Ravi and he was so helpful! We left with great cell phone plans, signed up for Bell Fibe, and got a security camera for our home. We were so happy with the service. He really made sure to give us the best deal possible.

What is the purpose of this store exactly? The few display shelves they have are empty, the store has no customers but is always dusty. If they are trying to be minimalists like the Apple store they need world class products, which they are obviously missing. Shoppers drug mart has a better selection of electronics than these guys.

Max was very helpful and got me set up with 3 new phone lines and new home internet. He was very patient and I got really nice service from him!!! He answered a lot my questions, made everything so clear for me with nothing to worry, thanks alot to Source and Max!!! I would like to go back to that store again if I need something.

It’s always a great experience when I visit this location with my wife. The whole team is great, Ravi is our favorite salesperson and we have purchased most of our electronics through him. He is always able to answer our silly technology questions and we know we will get the best value possible! We will back for sure.

I went in looking for a NES classic edition (I know it was a tall order considering how scarce they are) and the store rep wouldn't shut up about selling me a tablet. I understand the pressure of meeting sales targets but maybe you should train you reps to overcome objections in more of a customer centric way.

Never buy their warranty! It's only valid 1 year AFTER the purchase date. Meaning if your device has any issues within the first year of the purchase, you will have to deal with the manufacturer! If you go the the store, they will tell you they can't do anything, event though you paid for their warranty!

After a bad experience with Sunrise Records went to the Source feeling a little nervous. The sales associate was very helpful. Found what I was looking for and agreed to hold it in the store so I didn't have to make a separate trip to the car. Great service . I'll be back.

Absolutely awful service from Malek he claimed to be the assistant store manager. Doesn’t know much about their products and lied to us about the features of products and then couldn’t even process the transaction at the end. It’s worth the drive to skip this location.

Went to the location at South Keys on Bank for a new phone. The rep (Emma) was friendly and supportive. They explained everything and never showed a sign of impatience even when it was clear I had little to no knowledge of what I needed beyond a new phone.
