"Was great when Scot was there and a lovely blond young lady ( she did Ralph’s operation brilliantly ! He recovered so fast from it last year) "
I absolutely love The Vet on the Hill and as well as using the practice for my own dogs I recommend to all my local dog training clients. I have attended appointments with my dogs and clients dogs at both St Margrets and the Richmond practices and have had positive feedback from clients about old Isleworth. The nurses are caring and compassionate and true pet lovers as well as being knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions and advise where applicable. The reception staff have even helped me when I had to take my toddler with me for an appointment and were so welcoming and lovely! I have always been able to get an appointment and been seen quickly with little waiting around which is important when taking an anxious dog to the vets. The vet team have always been amazing! I have seen a few of the vets and each have been kind and efficient making my dogs feel more relaxed. Even when having issues with insurance companies the team have been incredibly patient and helpful. I cannot recommend highly enough!
My dog Larrisa have had an urinary infection and I was suggested by vet to do urine test to ensure we will be using the right antibiotics. She was given 5 days treatment, and on day 7 everything seemed to be ok, I brought my dog to double check and on day 10 she started to show symptoms again. I brought her again and I’ve been told “it’s weird what happened to her” and I’ve been given another antibiotics. Both times I’ve been charged for consultation! Without any explanation and what was the point of spending money on urine test which was over 60£. As well, she got a treatment for ears itching and paws licking as an infection and second time I brought her I’ve been told she has allergies and she gave me pills without offering me to do test to try to find out which kind of allergies Larrisa has. I spent £600 and no one ever called me back to double check how she is doing and is she recovering! So disappointed, I will discharge my dog and find another vet who will look after her properly, not only take money!!!
I am not given to posting negative reviews as I am mostly of the opinion that if you haven't got something good to say, don't say anything, but two visits to this vet have been deeply dissatisfying. The first experience saw me going to another branch of their practice in St Margarets to collect the medication for my dog myself, as they didn't have it in stock in Isleworth and didn't seem that bothered about getting it sent over in any hurry (I finally got it around 3pm the following day after calling them twice to check if it had come in, and they never called me back as promised). The second was being charged £35 for a c.8-minute, highly unsuccessful 'consultation' to find out if my dog had something in his ear. Admittedly my dog wouldn't let them touch his ear (he is head shy) and I didn't expect them to force him, but seriously, to have the front to charge someone £35 for nothing except a few fruitless minutes is staggering. A half fee would have been acceptable and fair. I would not recommend.
My rating doesn't do this place justice! A warm, friendly, empathetic team with a generous dollop of professionalism! In addition to this, the premises is clean and bright. The decour is welcoming, and the animals we see there appear to be very much at ease, which is very important to us. Bruno enjoys his visits. I've tried the High street- chain vets. I found them over priced and not particularly 'warm'. What my daughter and I like the most about this team is that there is a real sense of caring, good communication and cohesion. They have genuinely gone above and beyond for our kitten. Always there to give good, sound advice. A solid like-minded team that is very much appreciated and recommended. We're so very grateful for all they've done, thus far.
Was great when Scot was there and a lovely blond young lady ( she did Ralph’s operation brilliantly ! He recovered so fast from it last year) . They also both helped enormously with his ears. Thank you! But the new vet that looked after Ralph on two last occasions was very disappointing . She has no clue about cats and didn’t hear what I told her about him . Didn’t spot what was wrong with him, suggested X-ray that wasn’t even needed. I didn’t trust her , I felt not ok and came and took our Ralph away ! It was the best decision I made . New vet within minutes spotted the problem and got treatment done . Sorry , but I even want my 39£ back for her useless consultation !
I cannot reccomend The Vet in Old Isleworth highly enough. I have dealt with all their vets over my time and find them to be professional, friendly, expert, knowledgable and (most important of all when dealing with my dog), focussed on the animals welfare. They are pet people and always deal with my dog (and me) with care and consideration. The nurses and office staff always have time to listen and understand and do everything they can to minimise owners worry. I feel safe leaving my precious dog in their care and that in itself is high praise. 5 Stars is a worthy score!
I'm fostering a kitten and had to take her in to be spayed. Any apprehensions I may have had disappeared after speaking to the staff. From the receptionist to the doctors, they were simply amazing. This impression was reinforced when I picked her up after the operation a few hours later - the incision was miniscule and hardly noticeable. My kitty was just as lively and vibrant when we got back home and that's all i could have asked for. Caring, knowledgeable and professional - I have no hesitation in recommending them.
I have no complaint about the vets. However as I am quite a senior citizen I do not like having to wait for sometime after my appointment time on a high window ledge as there are no seats for waiting.I am only a short little old lady and my dangling legs were very uncomfortable plus my dog wanted to sit on my lap for comfort and this was impossible. I did eventually request a chair. If people are left waiting for over 15 minutes there should be a chair without leaving people desperate enough to have to ask for one.
The best decision I made was to register 'my girls' at The Vet In Old Isleworth. From the day I walked into the practice, I have nothing but praise for all of the vet staff who have dealt with 'us'. Tilly is prone to just about every stress related condition (not that you'd ever know it!) but with the care and expertise of all of the vet staff, she is now enjoying the best health for a long time. It's always a pleasure when I'm passing, to pop in and update Leah on all of Tilly's latest exploits!
Had my deer old cat Kirk put to sleep Monday, the lady behind the desk was lovely and the vet who helped send my old boy of to heaven was really lovely too, I just received a sympathy card through the post from the vets and I'm truly overwhelmed with the kindness they all show. Thankyou to everyone there. My heart still hurts but these guys made it that little bit easier. Definitely would recommend this vets cause they truley care. Thankyou again ❤
Was referred here during lockdown as my cat needed flea treatment and they issued Broadline. After using it she went bald. I contacted the vet and provided pictures in an email, which went unanswered. I have since been told by original vet that Broadline is not a superior product and they wouldn't issue it. Disappointing really and I've emailed again asking for a reply to my original email. I've also checked and they aren't accredited by the RCVS.
We have been to this Vet today for neutering of our male and female cats; we have used 2 vets previously and have never felt as comfortable and confident when leaving our cats with the. The lovely receptionist was so helpful, friendly and patient. The Vet was brilliant; so helpful, very detailed with everything that was done, we highly recommend this lovely place. Thank you! (Klaud and Kokos Mum)
I can highly recommend The Vet in Old Isleworth's practice. The team are extremely knowledgable, kind and patient. My cat Astro has ongoing issues but he is very well looked after and has been in very good health since I started bringing him to the Isleworth practice. He is moving back to Australia with me and the Vets have also been helpful with their advice about the process of moving.
An amazing practice with the most helpful and understanding staff I have ever met. The vets gave me so much confidence with their professionalism and knowledge, that what could have been a very stressful time was much easier on us. A true love of animals seems to be the driving force behind this practice and it shows in every thing they do. I can not recommend it highly enough.
MY name is aarav om, I came to the vet, cause my rabbit mushy wasn't doing well,i was given good advice for the better of my baby mushy, mushy had to be let go of, because he developed spinal injury, and because he was in pain, I had him creamated, but through all this hard time, I was very happy with all the services the vet provided. I would recommend them.
I use both the Richmond Hill and Old Isleworth practices, and the staff at both are lovely, very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Scott operated on my precious old dog Rosie to remove a tumour, and thanks to his expertise she is still here 3 months later, enjoying her roast chicken days. I am very grateful. Would highly recommend
We have known Scott for years and trust him implicitly. He has so much care and love for all animals, and really takes the time to explain things carefully so you understand. We were first time dog owners and he helped inform us hugely. His staff are also extremely helpful and friendly. Would absolutely recommend without hesitation.
Gina was so incredibly kind and caring when I had to take my puppy to the vets as he ate a small amount of a pan au chocolate. She was so reassuring and made me feel at ease. Gina has such a lovely manner and is genuinely a lovely kind and caring person. Thank you so much Gina. With lots of love from Bodie and Vanessa
My dog suffered with a terrible ear infection for months and after trying a load of different medications that was unsuccessful, I bought him here where Scott done an amazing job completely cleaning out the ear and putting him on ear drop for a week. Almost a year on, my dog has never had an issue with his ear since!
Thank you Scott, Nina, Will, Lizzie and Sam for being there for my boy; in these difficult lockdown times. You replaced my worries with speed, skill and above all CARE. This cat is keeping his paws safely on the ground from now on! Our pets are in the best of hands at the Old Isleworth Vets! …
Simply the best practice there is! Scott, Alice, Antonia and the team are incredible at what they do. We've been visiting them for over two years and feel lucky to live so close. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they genuinely care about every animal they see. Highly recommended. Thanks for all you do!
I have recently move to this vet from somewhere else and what a disappointment! The staff are friendly but the girls seem to be a bit lost in what they are doing. The vet was clueless and unable to handle my energetic pet / she didn’t have a very good approach either. Sorry but I won’t be back!
What a fab vet practice! I had animals my whole life and have been to various vets over the years but can’t thank the team at the Vet enough for their time, kindness and professionalism. So kind and I will definitely be going back. Great to have a proper family local vet.
If you really care about your pet please choose a different clinic. We have had a very bad experience there. They just want your money and don't care about animals. Hope this review helps people to save time, money and helps all animals to have a better care.
We've been visiting the Vet in Old Isleworth for the last year and have had such a good experience from Dr Scott and all of the staff. The reception is always so welcoming and kind - they make what could be quite stressful a very calm environment.
Highly recommend The Vet In Old Isleworth.Very good and helpful give everything you and your pets need. Unfortunately my pet passed away because of age but they dont forget and send us a sympathy card for our loss. Thank you very much everything.
Honestly, the BEST Vet I’ve had my three dogs registered in! Why is say they are the best? You name it! Super friendly staff, amazingly knowledgeable and expert vets and most of all, effective when treating my dogs AND providing preventive
The staff are always so friendly and have the world of patience when it comes to the 100 questions from me regarding my fur baby. Their care, compassion and knowledge are what makes them by far, the best bunch of animal carers around.
Fantastic vets! We have known Scott and his team for some time and have excellent treatment for our 3 cats and 2 dogs. Knowledge, surgical skill and professionalism outstanding. Tad, the senior vet is very talented. Highly recommend.
This is the best vets around. Even before we registered, they gave me emergency advice over the phone (mid-Covid) which was so helpful. The practice is well run and Dr Scott is the only vet I trust with my African pygmy hedgehog.
My partner's dog had an operation here. She came home with red marks in her ears and ear mites which she didn't have before. During her operation she received an "ear cleaning" which was neither asked for nor permitted by us!
I have 2 dogs that attend this vets, my older dog was nervous about the vets after I had issues at the pervious one but all the staff at the clinic have been amazing with him and have taken the time to make him feel welcome.
After a spate of average encounters with 'big box' petshop vets I tried The Vet in Old Isleworth - they are a delight. Always helpful, considerate and keen to help, while never trying to sell you unnecessary products.
Friendly enough but not memorable in excellence. Sluggish and less efficient compare to MediVet service standards. Epiotic Ear cleanser for my dog costed me £28.50 in here, while MediVet Richmond charges £17.50.
The staff and vet were so kind and friendly. And thank the team and staff for everything they could for my pet.. Even though I was late in getting there they still opened the door for me thank you very much
Just want to say once again- Thank you, to the whole team for all the care and the efforts they have invested in my cat Snowy in order for her to remain healthy. You are amazing!
They are the most gentle vets my puppies got all there injections there and chipped and the puppy pack everything included , Thank God there's a good vet in the isleworth area ,
Thank you so much to all staff The Vet in Old Islewroth!! You're amazing and so kind, and cat Apollo want to say thank you too for how your treated him. Thanks! Mili and Apolo
The staff are all fantastic. We have only taken our cat for his yearly check ups but have popped in to ask advice on different things. What a great addition to Old Isleworth.
My experience after 2 visits, please avoid this clinic, they try to get as much money from you as possible, it's not worth losing money and nerves, I won’t recommend !!!
Dr Ana is absolutely fantastic. She saved my cat's life. My cats are the family I chose for myself. So, I am beyond grateful for her excellent care and expertise!
Ana was great. We took our cat there as an emergency after we just moved to the area. She made sure she could attend us straight way and aslo had great follow-up
Loved coming here great service and especially the staff so helpful and polite. Maliha was exceptionally kind and friendly. Definitely recommend coming here
Absolutely brilliant, handled my older cats dental issues & sassyness perfectly. I switched both cats to them for primary care too! …
There was great service just 1 star missing because there was no parking spots near. However there was some just round the corner so it was fine.
These vets and their staff really are special people. I have had really first class compassionate treatment from them recently
Excellent service and warm welcome. My 9 week old puppy was so relaxed and had excellent care and attention on her 1st visit.
When asking a question none of them said the same thing and kept putting me through to someone else. Not very helpful at all
Lovely people. Did well to keep our nervous cats calm without us in the room. Operating with Covid restrictions in place.
What a friendly and professional vet practice. You and your pet are always greeted through the door with a warm welcome.
They treated my old dog like a piece of meat to practice on. We won't be going back there ever again, that is for sure!
Amazing as always first class service thank you Melissa jones for all your help friendly helpful and so caring
Rubbish service just good to take your money and blame it all on you I’ll never use this place again 0 stars
Knowledgeable, friendly and professional staff; they clearly care a great deal about the animals they see.
