Was happy until I was discriminated against because of my social standing, just because I knew some people whom they have issues with (people I have nothing in common with and barely spent anytime with) Geoff says I'm no longer allowed to take part in any of the future volunteer programs (ie bike builds, Cycle of Giving etc) which really suxs for me as being an introvert just going out the door is harder than you'd understand, being able to work on the bikes was a great distraction from my anxieties and productive, the last few months since I've been "unofficially banished" I'm slipping into my old ways again and started using drugs and drinking alcohol... Side note: Tuesday February 9th 2017, was told by Geoff if i don't change or remove this review I'm going to be permanently banned from the Wrench and any other bike related events, sorry I won't be censored by anyone and if that means Geoff is going to ban me for my right to speak my mind then I'll have to get a human rights lawyer to deal with this unfortunate situation. The Wrench is a good place to find tools and parts for repairing and bike maintenance.

This place is a joke, They recover bikes from the trash and tear them apart and then try and charge premium pricing for parts...not only are the prices a joke, the staff are all on different pages. One person tells you somethings $5 and then the person at the register tells you its $20, They say they have suggested donations but then try and charge you more then the suggestion. This place is a joke. Check out the Bike Dump instead.

Disclaimer: I once worked here. Really great shop space to fix your bike. I would say the only downside is there are often many people who need their bikes fixed each thursday so it can get very husy in the summer months. They appreciate snacks or art, they're open to work trades for bikes (if it fits) and can help you get a bik if you need one. Consider volunteering if you want to meet great people and learn lots as you go.

Excellent service! I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who is looking for bike repairs or a new (old) bike. I had brought a $2000 Marinoni to their down town location after explaining my issue they were able to SHOW ME how to fix my bike. I had taken the money I got from a refunded service in attempt to fix this bike and I decided to put it towards a new bike that they built. It still runs great today!

Very cheap good place and capable staff. I've gotten stuffs for very cheap over there. Just make sure you go there before they are open. There is a lineup if you want to work on your bike you might have to wait a while before being served. Great place for spare parts or hard to find parts. If you are looking for parts only you'll be served immediately if someone is available to help you.

I love this place. Volunteers are friendly, and most important of all, they are humble. Sometimes volunteers at places like let their "expertise" get to their heads, and then they turn every little thing into a hassle. I went in, signed the guest book, said "Hi", looked around and found what I needed, threw $10 in the donation box, and then left. No hassle, no arguing with any "experts."

Had a wonderful afternoon on a bike tour exploring Winnipeg with Lucas. The bike was a stylish vintage refurbished bicycle from the 1970's and was incredibly comfortable, had all the bells and whistles and even an easy to use lock. To top it all off, we even stopped for ice-cream at BDI, a Winnipeg institution and got a mandatory 'Goog'! 10/10 recommend you visit The W.R.E.N.C.H.

I went to the Thursday night repair shop. I had a realley great and fun experience and learned a ton. The volunteers and mechanics here are fantastic. They have lots of tools, parts and equipment to fix bikes up with plus teach the skills. I went home with much more than a fixed bike. :) This is a realley good thing we got going on in Winnipeg and i love what they do.

Do you identify as a C.I.S. male? Do not even bother knocking on the door. Though they are inclusive on paper. Unless you identify as "anything else" you are in for a extremely long wait. Their board meetings are not open too the public. And they openly endorse ANTIFA"Yes I took screen grabs :P"

Purchased a bike here last spring. I was able to try out 3 different bikes and ended up choosing one. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I rode my bike nearly everyday in the summer and it was a very high quality brand. I would definitely recommend purchasing a bike here

Can be a little hard to find but once you enter the build you will see stair heading down to the w.r.e.n.c.h location. Great place to learn about and repair your bicycle. I really love going to this place, they have amazing volunteers working there. They are usually open on Thursday

Went to the bike bazzar. Arrived on time. Stood in line for 2 hours in very hot weather only to be told at the front of the line that this was "not the line for adult bikes" yet no one said anything, there were no other lines, no signs or

Massive community bike shop in Winnipeg - a very busy place. Lots of used bikes fixed up and for sale. Highly recommend going here for a fixed up used bicycle instead of buying from Walmart or Canadian Tire.

Great place to learn for free with the help of volunteers and staff how to fix and maintain your bicycle. They have odd hours, same building as animal services.
