The ‘Three Rivers Fountain’ is a beautiful attraction of Victoria Square, sculpted by John Dowie. I really like the fountain with three figures. I found it so interesting that the three human figures, each with a bird, are made to symbolise 3 rivers- the Murray, the Onkaparinga and the Torrens, as the water feeding this fountain would come from those rivers. Dowie made 2 European female figures to represent Torrens and Onkaparinga (a woman with a black swan: Torrens, and a woman with a heron: Onkaparinga) and the third one is an Aboriginal man holding an Ibis representing Murray.

Love the breeze coming out. Calm and relaxing. Looks great during the summer. Good for some sunbath and have quality time with friends and family. Can be a good option for people working or studying around the companies or schools and have some break on the ground later. I wouldn't mind having a perfect me-time in the middle of the city too. Night looks vibrant with the lights and the fountain. P.S. the fountain looks great anytime of the day.

It is always nice to have the sound of flowing water in city. I find this brings an opportunity to practice mindfulness to the area. The park wasn't too busy on the day we visited, and it was nice to sit under the shade of a tree next to the fountain and relax.

This place is really nice to see a fountain in the central part of the city. Such a nice feeling to listen with the sound of water, relaxing and soothing. If ever in Adelaide cbd try and checked this out. Kida love too.

A relaxing rest area in the heart of Adelaide. Expansive area to just sit on the grass nearby and have some lunch. The fountain was beautiful.

The figures by John Dowie A.M.are wonderful but I'm not so keen on the overall design. I guess three is an uncomfortable number to work with.
