"Positives: Great, convenient location"
I’m not even bothered by the homeless people living in the units or the human feces I’ve seen in the hallways. This negative review is based off of the horrendous parking situation. I used to be able to get a ticket and validate it at the kiosk before leaving. Now you must prepay $10 in order to get a ticket. To avoid this, I would pull into the alleyway through the gate I was provided an access code to. Last time I was here, I was greeted by a security guard telling me I wasn’t allowed access to the alleyway. I insisted that I was and offered to show the email providing the access code to the gate. He said he didn’t care, the gate is only for delivery drivers, and there is no code to it (I had just entered the code a minute beforehand to get through). He said my only option was to go through the main entrance where you must prepay $10. I don’t think this security guard was affiliated with the company but I’m pretty upset my only options were to pay $10 to access the unit or have the police called.
They have absolutely no customer service. Totally unable to get through by phone and when I did get to leave a message it took awhile for anyone to call me back. They incorrectly charged me when I started the unit rental, didn't provide any paper confirmation of anything, but finally corrected the first bill. Then they did not provide check-out instructions and even though I left my lock with the key in it on my unit as I "checked out" they still charged me for an extra month saying I should have removed the lock altogether. It took days to get an answer about why they were charging us for an additional month at three times the promotional rate I had signed up for. All the way around, customer service is horrible and they aren't even apologetic about it. It was like: too bad.
For reasons I don't feel unnecessary to go over life seem to had his foot on my neck a little longer than usual which lead to my property being put up for auction, understandable. When I asked the lady can I do a partial on $400 she refused and said all of nothing .. after reviewing the laws here in Utah it's solely up to the establishment whether or not partial payment is an option ,... What would make a individual so callous as to not want to help somebody acquire their belongings I don't know. Needless to say I'll be allocating a nice portion of my time to Make it known of the unfair practices at this facility
After searching for a convenient place near my condo downtown I found this location on state street right in the center of the city! I was a bit skeptical of the level of security it would have but I was pleasantly surprised at how secure it was, I felt very comfortable with it after visiting the location. I would highly suggest this facility to anyone. I’ve used plenty of storage facilities in the past, but this one has been a fantastic choice. And I can’t stress enough how good the location and access have been for me! Clean, safe, convenient and fairly priced.
Positives: Great, convenient location. Negatives: My unit was FLOODED WITH SEWAGE, I lost access to my stuff for a few weeks and then Towne Storage's insurance declined to pay out anything to cover my losses. "Flooding due to surface water isn't covered..." The other negative is that after certain hours you have to pay to enter the garage (to access your unit) instead of using the validation feature. Apparently there is a special code you can give the attendant to get in for free but management hasn't made that available to all tenants.
If you’re looking for a secure and clean storage facility, this is the best in Salt Lake! I was super impressed with how clean they keep it. It’s a new facility too. I appreciated all the security monitors on the wall when you first walk in and they have tons of different storage sizes. Great location as well!
Excellent location, close to the University! Both gentlemen I dealt with upon initially renting the unit AND when I needed my friend to access it while I was several states away WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY!!! I would use them again and recommend Towne Storage to anyone!
This place is sketchy as hell. I'd recommend staying away from it. They don't have a customer service once you sign up for a unit. I've literally left them 5 voicemails over the past 2 weeks without anyone getting back to me.
Still brand new facility with easy access, clean, and great location for downtown self storage.
Very clean very secure and very easy to come and go I'd recommend it to anyone
Clean and orderly
