I have been there a couple of times . I find the staff rude & have been asking for a simple vegetarian option of a toasted sandwich . ‘ toasted cheese & tomato ‘ I got some lady at the counter who said no just order from will window . I explained that I don’t eat meat & she couldn’t have cared less. I left and called to speak to the manager . I got this lady again who was EXTREMELY RUDE & hung up on me . I live here and go shopping every Friday . I buy a coffee here weekly however , I would advise people to not support these people they are not community minded at all . Bad service for sure . Don’t waste your money on bad manners . They also do not do table service Go to Miss Laceys cafe on Main st they are wonderful .

Surprisingly good.. My partner and I live in the area this Cafe is located we have walked past it several times to go to the supermarket near by, but we have never stopped in. Untill, one morning after an early gym workout we were looking to go have breakfast somewhere and none of our usual favourite cafes were open, so I did a quick internet search to see if anything was open for breakfast at 7:30am and I was led to this place so we thought ok let's give it a shot.. And the verdict was good, great coffee, nice service and our breakfast was good with great portions and reasonable prices.

Edit after reply from owner Sorry for spending my hard earned money at your Cafe and expecting a nice greeting, market prices and not being treated like a transaction. I'm happy to continue to by-pass the Cafe, l dont want the staff to feel like my patronage would ruin their day.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Twisted Zest Cafe. The owners were incredibly welcoming, adding a personal touch to the visit. I opted for the Zest Big Breakfast, and it was a delight – delicious and generously portioned. The ambiance was equally impressive, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The quirky decor added a unique charm to the place, making it a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. In summary, Twisted Zest Cafe exceeded my expectations with great hospitality, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended! Can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu.

I was recommended this cafe as a hidden gem of Croydon a while ago, and I have never looked back. I have been here several times, the coffee is the best around, and the food (burgers) are to die for. Really, the food is fantastic. I have tried the main street cafes, and find them over-rated, expensive, and the coffee average. Seriously, the coffee here is the best. Sooo goood. The staff are great, and have always greeted me with a smile. I noticed a lot of older seniors gather there at lunch time, and the atmosphere was great. Staff and customers were joking like old friends. Anyway, check it out. It's chill and a great place to relax.

A nice spot, hidden away and easily missed. The coffee is okay, I’d say average at best. The big breakfast was nice with the cheesy sausage being our favourite. Food was overall good. However the hash browns come out 5mins after the main platter came which was strange. It is a bit pricey, $70 for the two of us… The cafe’s design and atmosphere was dull. There was a shattered window and a lot of the fridge lights were off, wasn’t as welcoming as we hoped.

Had brunch at the Twisted Zest Cafe, I had “The Hash” it was delicious, creamy and the spicy chipotle hollandaise sauce topped it off with a bit of kick I also had a Affogato (scoop of ice cream with espresso extracted on-top of it) which was a nice sweet addition to brunch The service was great (was served by the lady with the purple hair) she was very quick and efficient and you can tell she has a passion for what she does Great little brunch spot Attached are some photos of the scrumptious meal I had!

Coffee was excellent, food was ok. Staff seemed very much to not care. Was a cold day. And they had a full table inside near the front door with older people at it. Staff pinned the for open, even after being asked to close it due to cold. Customer was told I don't care. WOW. should be a Karen franchise from US. Was under staffed and quality of service was less than average.

I myself don't really leave reviews unless necessary, this is kind of odd to say and some may not understand some might not feel the same way (each to their own I guess) but I personally hold great respect to this business and its people as they were the first business to treat me like a human being when I was at my lowest. Because sometimes it's the feeling of being wanted that makes you come back for more. P.s I also love their coffees ✌️

  • Kate McConnell

$5 for a medium 'coffee' but add $1 to take away the coffee and exchange for chai and add .60c to make it soy. I've never been charged to make something chai. They said it was because the chai is more expensive than coffee. If that's the case, I question the cost/ quality of their coffee if their chai is more expensive. $6.60 for a medium soy chai is a bit steep for a medium. Service was nice though

Great food, Great service & awesome new renovation. Twisted Zest has clearly put a lot of time and effort into their new look and it really shows. The atmosphere is amazing and it feels very calming and beautiful whether you choose to sit inside or outside. Not only do Kooks and the team go above and beyond to cater for all but the food is purely delicious!

Stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was a good variety of options on the menu and ended up having eggs Benedict on hash browns, although I was a little disappointed that it was extra to swap the bacon with spinach. The food came quickly, was very nice and excellently presented. There's plenty of space and an out door section.

Most amazing staff and best food!! Accidentally screwed up my order (my own fault NOT STAFF FAULT) and they took complete care of me, staff and chef! If I could eat here everyday I would! If you want good breakfast/cafe. This is it!!

The food was awesome!! The service and availability on the menu was not good. The young girl serving was very rude and un accomodating. She was clearly not the owner. The 3 stars are for the food.

My visit to Twisted Zest Cafe was one I shan't be repeating. Overpriced very ordinary food, rude personnel and poor service. With other cafes in Main St. Croydon to visit, this one needs to lift its game in all areas.

A bit pricey but the food is definitely worth it. Lovely atmosphere especially after the shop overhaul they recently did.just make sure you have a big appetite because the burgers are big. Only thing is I wish they brought back the $10 burger combo.

  • Ross Gordon

I was greeted pleasantly enough by the staff but after taking a seat I couldn't help but notice the pop music which detracted heavily from the mood; in this choice they seemed to be catering more for their comfort than their clientele. The

Ordered chicken Parma , chips/salad and chicken soup. Was delivered through uber eats. Food was delivered within 30 mins and still hot. Chicken soup was the best I've ever had. Hope it's always on the menu! I would have given 5 stars but

went searching for a barber and had a coffee and caramel slice from Twisted. service was good and the large coffee was hot to the end. Nice coffee, good service and music was at a good level for background. Price was reasonable.

Having traded with Twisted Zest as a regular customer, I feel it necessary to write a review upon them. Being a regular and repeat customer certainly tells that this business is me very well enough for me to review them.

  • Mike Lee

Twisted Zest is a favourite family weekend lunch spot for us. A good range of nice food at reasonable prices. If you like something just a little on the spicey side you'll love the Spanish baked eggs

Hands down the best coffee in Croydon. This is my new favourite place to splurge on brunch before facing the supermarket.

Bitter over extracted coffee. Not good at all. Am a total coffee snob and was assured by service assistant it was good coffee, notifying I would return coffee if it was not.

A little overpriced in my opinion. I have ordered coffee several times and the lady taking my order was unfriendly and seemed like she didn't want to be there.
